Live video of iPhone in Keynote

Hello,
I'm going to be doing a presentation explaining the Settings app on an iPhone. I winder if there is a way you can make a key note, and first do some frames on speccs etc. and then connect an iphone to the computer and get a screen mirroring onto the keynote. I.e. what i do on the iphone is directly mirrored on the presentation.
Best Regards, Gimyslog

Just in case others are still experiencing this, fret not. A solution has been found and the fix is incorporated into the current Beta for Flash Player 11.
As soon as it hits official release, a lot (if not all) of our odd ActiveX lockups and freezes seem to be addressed. Thank you, Adobe!

  • How to send live video from iphone to ipad

    I have an iphone g1 and gs3

I don't know which iPhones support FaceTime butbif either of yours do, you could use that.

  • Insert live video feed in Keynote

    Hello,
How could I insert a live video feed in a running Keynote presentation ?
Source could be webcam, iPhone video output, etc.
I'd like to keep the background of the Keynote presentation while the live video plays on top.
    Thx for your help.
    Benoit

Here's how I got it working today (slight modifications to Unami's guide):
    1) Install Quartz Composer (it comes with the XCode Developement Utilities on your OSX installation disc)
    *2) Download the KinemeCore ( http://kineme.net/files/release/KinemeCore/KinemeCore-0.5.1bInstaller.pkg.zip ) and install.
    3) Open Quartz Composer and create a blank composition.
*4) Click on the KinemaCore menu in the top menu (between Window and Help) and select KinemaCore Preferences. Click on the Unsafe Mode tab. For each of the required applications on the left, check "Safe" for Video Input on the right. (I checked Video Input as "Safe" for every application, just in case.)
    5) Open the Patch Library, then add a "Video Input" and a "Billboard" patch
( To select another than the default video input device, select the Video Input patch, open the Patch Inspector and change the input device in the Settings tab )
    6) Connect the "Image" output of the Video Input Patch to the "Image" input of the "Billboard" Patch (click and drag from the white dot next to "Image")
    7) Save this composition and close Quartz Composer
    8) Now, open Keynote and drag the .qtz file you just saved into your presentation
For some reason, Keynote will occasionally not allow me to drag/drop the .qtz file into its window. Closing that window and starting a new document fixes this.
    Hope that helps.

  • IPhone "live" video to multiple AppleTVs?

Is there a way to stream live video that is being recorded from an iPhone to multiple AppleTVs that are all on the same Wi-Fi network?

    No.

  • Live video from isight embedded into keynote slide

I have been trying to figure out how to embed live video from my isight camera into keynote. I have tried creating a stream from quicktime broadcaster and import the .sbp file into keynote, but it will not except the stream file. I did not know if there was another way to do it besides the stream or if perhaps I could use another program to help input the video.
My ultimate goal is to be able to present slides and have a live video from my isight during the slideshow on one of the slides. I guess if there is some other way to get both the slideshow presentation and video on the presentation screen without any program headings, in a clean fashion, that would be acceptable too; even if a different program was handling the video and it wasn't technically embedded.

Cool, I can see me using this - need to properly test with http://b-l-a-c-k-o-p.com/CamCamX.html#upgrade
this allows you to choose video sources to play - so i'm betting it will allow video cameras to be used - so it ought to be possible to do live demos/illustrate slides with 3d objects etc ... cool - suspect voice syncing still might be an issue. And KN record doesn't work properly if you have a live movie - it just shows the camera content that's live ... (if you follow me...)
PS Almost forgot - it will do one of the things I was so desperate to achieve: It would allow you to have a window on the screen with a live feed of a signer for those who use BSL and other sign languages - that's really important. And if you needed to you could use two projectors (see other thread on multiple screens) and put the signer on a nicely designed screen all of their own. WOW!!!

  • No 4s keynote video on iphone 3g

I cannot watch the  iphone 4s keynote presentation, using my iphone 3g (yep - not the 3gs!).
Is it just me - or is there a reason why the iphone 3g can't access this movie?
    Apple event link:
    http://events.apple.com.edgesuite.net/11piuhbvdlbkvoih10/event/index.html

Its good to know its not just my phone.
I would really like to know why it doesn't work though.
Looking at the specs of the iphone 3g vs later models I can't work out what the phone is lacking. The movie says its iOS 3.x compatible. I can only assume its something hardware related.
I'd really like to know what the incompatiblity is.
I'm in the process of developing videos for web publishing and his info would be really useful. I asked the question for this reason.

  • Live Video Broadcasting

We have a quarterly Town Hall event we set-up.  We have an audience of about 100 employees at our local corporate office.  We would like to broadcast a live video stream of the presenters as well as have the presentation available on the screen.  We have another 100+ employees that watch this over the web.
We've been using WebEx Training Center for this, but it's limited in the camera and audio options, and a webcam is just not cutting it anymore.
I want to preface that I'm a PC guy, but we're slowly adopting Apple technology into our company (15 iPhones, 60+ iPads, some MacPro servers for designers, and a couple of MacMinis and MacBooks for testing).
I've done some research and see that Quicktime Broadcaster might be what we're looking for, but I'm hoping the community might be able to help us figure out exactly what we might need.
We'd like the production and end-user experience to be very similar to the Apple Keynote that they do at WWDC every year, but simpler.
HD Video Camera - We only need 1 Camera Angle, however we want the ability to zoom, get HD quality, and have it be a non-web cam, Professional camera.
Audio - We need this for the live stream, recording of the event, and then local amplification for the audience
Lighting - I don't know a ton about this, but we would need some lighting for the presenters to "look better" on the feed.
Teleprompter - We don't need these so people can read from them, but rather we need them to display a timer so the presenters don't go over their alloted presentation time.  We frequently go 20-30 mins over our scheduled times.
Presentation - We have a PowerPoint deck that would need to be presented along with the video feed.
Other devices - Occassionally, we'll need to connect an Apple TV to display something from an ipad, etc. and we'll want that to be streamed as well.
That's it in a nutshell.  I'm an AV geek, and have had a lot of experience setting up basic video productions in the past.  I've used various apps like Finalcut, Sony Vegas, etc. to do post production, but never any software for live broadcast stuff.
I'm thinking it might be better to get a consultant in here to help us set up a system, but if my team of 7 can do it ourselves, we'd rather.
Any help you can offer would be great.  I'm open to using Apple technology obviously, which is why I'm posting here.  And if anyone knows how Apple does their live WWDC Keynote streaming, that would be a great benchmark to use.
    Thanks,

Ummm, the same way you broadcast a video file.
You feed the DataSource associated with your web cam through a Processor, program the Processor's tracks to output the encoding you want, and then you send that out via RTP.
And on the receiving end, nothing changes from the video file.

  • Is it possible to stream live video & audio from device cameras & mics to a server?

I would like to know if I can use flash builder to stream live video and audio from Android & IOS device cameras and mics to a media streaming server such as Flash Media Server or Wowza? I know the Android & IOS APIs allow for this but can it be done using Flex/Actionscript? The key here is "live" so you wouldn't want to have to wait for video and audio files to complete on the disk before sending it out. Ideally you would send it out via RTMP or HTTP streaming to stream out but any stream would do since once it gets to the server you can encode it.

    Hi
Yes, It's can do but There is a problem on IOS 8 when Switch Camera, Microphone is muted and Sound return when I press home button from my iphone out and press app again for few second
You can use as same as flash desktop video streaming for coding in mobile.
    Good luck

  • Streaming Live Video to I-Phone

Are there specifications for streaming live video to I-Phones?
I work for a webcasting co. and we would like to offer our webcasts to our clients via their cell phones. I haven't been able to find any documentation relative to live video streaming to an I-Phone.

    Hi,
Since the iPhone browser can play MPEG-4 movies, it should be able to play streamed MPEG-4. Flash and Windows Media isn't an option.
Fortunately QuickTime Broadcaster is free, but you'd need a QuickTime Streaming Server to "bounce" the stream off. Setup Broadcaster to do an MPEG-4 video that's within the playable specs (given that it's a live stream, you'd want something as small as possible, so I'm sure the iPhone could handle it). If you're wanting your clients to access the stream over 3G as well as WiFi then you'd need to keep that in mind when determining the video size/bandwidth.

  • Air 3 + FMS 4.5 + HLS = iOS app play live video? h264+aac?

OK, I tried before with air 2.6-2.7, a live video app VP6+MP3 to the AppStore and it got rejected, because of the http-live-streaming requirement.
So today, I installed FMS 4.5, and created stream h264+AAC, to the rtmp://myserverip/livepkgr  with stream: mystream?adbe-live-event=liveevent
I tried openning it on iphone safari with this url and it playes with default player: http://myserverip/hls-live/livepkgr/_definst_/liveevent/mystream.m3u8
Then I tried with same url in my iphone app (Air 3.0 sdk) to open the stream and it doesnt work, I tried f4f and f4m extensions, dont work.
What is the URL I have to load from my app as3 to load this HLS stream into my Air3 iOS App?
I read somewhere now it is possible, or is it not possible yet to make app that plays HLS now?

OK, I just made it work (kind of) with StageWebView. In a way with the iphone default player it is working smoothly with h264 video and AAC audio.
    - Is this the only way to bring HLS (http-live-streaming) live video to the  Air3 sdk based iOS Apps? I looked through the HLS and HDS documents, it doesnt say anything about how to load the stream into AS3 code with rtmp://ip/live/stream kind of URL.
    - Is there any live tv apps approved to Apple AppStore with this StageWebView implementation? I am worried that that it will rejected, because it is basically just loading a html page.
    Appreciate the help in advance.

  • Live video in presentation

I'd like to be able to show live video in a Keynote slide. That is, with my iSight camera hooked up, I want to show a KN slide w/live pictures. I will be demonstrating something on a table top and want it to show up on the screen for all to see. Is there any way to do that?
    Thanks.
    Tim

Actually, Broadcaster makes one, and it's the movie you'd then stick on your website to do live streaming. Instead, put this movie on your slide. It will give you a live feed from whatever your source is for the broadcaster...but again, you'll get about a 3 second delay, no matter how fast your computer is.

  • Way to use Live video (from camcorder) as a background?

    Hello.
I was wondering if there's any way to use live video (from camcorder) as a background using Keynote.
I am trying to add caption/subtitle on live video to projector.

I haven't tried this myself recently (the last time I tried it, the delay was frozen to no less than 3 seconds), but a user in this thread said he got the delay down to .1 seconds by using QuickTime Broadcaster and altering the .sdp file.
This technique uses Broadcaster to make your computer stream to itself and use the stream file in Keynote.

  • Can stream movies; cannot stream live video to Apple TV

    Hi all,
I have a new Apple TV and a 3rd generation iPad. I can stream movies to the Apple TV, but I can't stream live video (through Camera app), nor can I stream or mirror presentations from Keynote. I'm at a loss. Any suggestions?
    Thanks.
    John

Nevermind- figured it out.  Streaming movies does not require you to activate mirroring.  Presenting Keynote presentations and live video DOES!  Duh....
