Live view remote comparison

Can anyone detail what the difference is between the two models RMLVR1 and RMLVR2 I went to the Sony Store in Costa Mesa and the sales person was very unhelpful.  He said he didn't know.  I have the AS30V so not sure which one I should purchase.

Seems there may be a few of these compatibility charts around....http://www.sony.net/Products/actioncam/common/img/support/LVR/list_of_Compatibilty_Chart_lvr2.pdf http://www.sony.net/Products/actioncam/common/img/support/LVR/list_of_Compatibilty_Chart_lvr2v.pdf I can tell you that I am indeed using the AS30 with the LVR2V (which came with my AZ1). In fact I control 3 action cams (AS30, AZ1, X1000V) simultaneously with my LRV and it works very well. You need to be sure you have the latest firmware updates on the LVR as well as the action cams. Here is a youtube where I am using all three at once.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XLCHdZTVD3g

  • EOS 6D zoomed remote live view sharper??

    Hi,
    I've got this Canon Zoom lens EF 70-300mm on my EOS 6D, connected via EOS Remote Utility on my Macbook Pro running MacOS 10.9.1. Everything is working great, and I'm really impressed by the level of details I can achieve by zooming on the moon:
    I thought, that looks really amazing! Imagine what the shot will look like when I snap the actual photo with these settings. And then I obtain this. This is a comparison of the screenshot from Live View-Zoom View (left) and the actual shot (right):
    I tried changing the image quality (I tried RAW) to no avail. I don't know where the loss of details comes from, I was wondering if anyone here had any insight on this or ran into similar problems.
    Thanks,
    Michel
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    I'm very interested in learning why this soft focus occurred. What comes to mind is that the camera's autofocus changed the focus as the shutter was snapped. So I'm going to focus on that. 8-) What was the Live-View image after the shot? Was it as clear as the pre-shot version? In other words if autofocus chagned the focus during the shot that should be the focus of the Live-View image after the shot. At least I think that would be the case.
    I have had a 6D for about a month. There has been a lot of discussion online about this camera not having good autofocus performance. I have noticed that autofocus performance is poor in low light. Maybe this is an example of that.
    I have had good success with manual focus using Live-View zoomed/magnified to X10.
    It looks like the autofocus was in "quick mode". Does the EOS Utility support Flexizone AF? You could try that. Another thing to check is the AF point. Was your focus point set on the moon?

  • I want to view the screen of my dslr camera in live view on my macbook pro via the hdmi port, is this possible?

    I would like to view the output from my DSLR on the screen of my macbook using the hdmi port.  I know I can connect to a tv to send images "out" from my macbook, but is it possible ti send images in?? I operate my camera by remote control, and would really live a live view if possible.
    Thank

    Nope - you can only output video from your MBP - there's not a port for input.

  • Webpage looks good with tranparent boxes and photo background in live view but not in browsers

    If anyone has time to help I would be very grateful.   I am new to dreamweaver and am trying to make a webpage with transparent colums and boxed text using styles.  It looks perfect in "live view" but when I look at it in any browser all formatting is gone.  It looks like the background with text on top layed out wrapped across the entire page.   I have not been able to figure out what is wrong in days of searching.  Does anyone know the answer?
    This first the format I want and is what it looks like in Live View, the second is what it looks like in most browsers.
    Here is the code I used:

            <h3>What does NBCS Do?</h3>
            <p>Since 2004 The Narragansett Bay Coyote Study (NBCS) has been developing science-based coexistence and management strategies for our newest top predator.  Coyotes, originally a prairie species, have successfully colonized all parts of the continental and nearshore us in the past 100 years. They reached the islands of Narragansett Bay in the mid-1990s. Since then coyotes have become increasingly abundant and problematic in some island communities.</p>
            <p>In our history of cohabitation with coyotes people consistently  tried to eliminate them by hunting, trapping, and poisoning. Lethal removal  worked for individual problem animals but did not work as a population control strategy. Why? Coyotes have intrinsic physiological and behavioral abilities to control their own numbers. If coyotes are removed they increase reproduction and numbers rapidly rebound. The critical population regulation trigger is competition for food. As long as coyotes are well fed (with few coyotes competing for food) their populations will grow. </p>
            <p>It is also known that opposite effect occurs if coyotes if coyotes are stressed by competition for food. If there are too many coyotes competing for the food available coyotes will drop the the level sustainable by those resources.</p>
            <p>Understanding this relationship, NBCS scientists decided to study the resource use of coyotes on two islands in Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island. We used GPS tracking collars to find out where the coyotes were spending thier time. We theorized that if we could identify important coyote food resources - and control them - the coyotes would bring their own numbers down. NBCS calls this &quot;passive coyote management.&quot;</p>
            <p> Since 2005 when we trapped and collared our first island coyotes we have continually found that the most important food resources to our study are provided by people. That means they are within our control That means we can control coyotes. If we remove anthropogenic resources (human subsidies) coyote numbers will drop to the level sustainable by natural resources. When coyotes are sustained only by natural prey (mice, woodchucks, rabbits, geese, and deer) coyotes numbers will be lower and they will provide helpful pest control services. </p>
            <p>Based our scientific data NBCS generated a set of <a href="coyotes/Best Management Practices for Coexistence with Coyotes - Nov 8 2010.pdf" target="_new">Best Management Practices for Coexistence with Coyotes</a>- basically a toolbox for safe, sustainable, community coyote management. We are working with the towns in our study area to adopt the CBMPs and be the first community in the nation to successfully and sustainably manage coyotes. We also believe other cities and towns might be able to use our results as a template if they are experiencing coyote problems. We have only just begun to implement the CBMPs on our islands. We hope in the near future to have all our towns implementing the CBMPs - only then will we see the full impacts they make on coyote numbers and behavioral problems. You can follow our progress on this website.</p>

    Helo thanks for responding .  I think it uploads...  It says it does as an assocaiated file when I put to the website.  But that sounds like it is the issue. Those format commands seem to be the one it is ignoring.  I am not familiar with html but I see that the href command is what identifies the path to the file I call TCAStyles.  I notice that dw puts all my files in a local public file and the structure is different - with no public file - at the site.
    I am not sure what the 2 dots in the href command mean - there is not a full path.  Is this command valid?  I will try to look into the directory structure on local and remote site and will check for files.

  • For some reason CS5 cannot find localhost in live view.Image shown

    I was trying to open my wordpress blog in live view when I now get an error "Dreamweaver could not find the server "localhost". But it appears correctly in the address window.
    I can see the wordpress blog fine in "localhost/wordpress" using IE8. I am using wamp local server which is testing OK and working. I am on XP system.
    Also I notice the file folder colors in the file folder are
    local view are green
    remote view  yellow
    testing server  red
    I have reinstalled the program but no change any suggestions where to look.
    Thanks bob

    Hi Mike,
    I found some two mistakes that should solve your problems:
    1. typo: use "raw_value" with underscore, then the "category" works.
    2. The array support of the Generic Panel is limited to semicolon-separated term lists in a text field,
    where each term represent an array item.
    For example the "supplemental categories" property should look like:
    <xmp_property
         name="SupplementalCategories" category="external"
         label="$$$/stewart/Class=Classification:" type="bag" element_type="text"
         xmp_path="SupplementalCategories" ui:multiLine="true" ui:mru="true" description="..."
    />
    Hope this helps,

  • Dreamweaver CS5.5 not displaying fonts correctly in live view

    I've integrated some web fonts into my website, which display properly in every browser on my computer (and more importantly) on on other computers properly; strangely enough, Dreamweaver CS5.5's live view doesn't display them as they should be displayed. The font Raleway is displayed as Times New Roman, and League Gothic as Helvetica. Stranger still, Ubuntu, which I use for my <body> element in general, works fine in all weights and styles. Any advice on how to get the other fonts to work properly?

    The code for Exo is simply a link in the <head> element to Google Web Fonts; <link href='http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Exo:100,200,300,400,500,600,700,800,900,400italic' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'>
    Same goes for Open Sans Condensed (sorry, I confused it with League Gothic in earlier comments): <link href='http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Open+Sans+Condensed:700' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'>
    The code for Raleway, Ubuntu and Museo is here:
    @font-face {

    As you can see, these do reference TTF fonts on my remote server, as well as in my local folder (which mirrors my remote server, obviously).

    98% of layout/display problems are caused by malformed code.
    1) Ensure that your code is valid (error free).
         Code Validation Tools
         CSS - http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/
         HTML - http://validator.w3.org/
    2) Check that all paths to images, external style sheets and scripts are correctly pointing to your site folder and not to a file:/// on your local hard drive.
    3) If that doesn't help, upload your problem page to a remote server space and provide us with a link so we can see it in our browsers.

  • How to Live View with external CSS files?

    I am using a simple HTML page that references several external CSS style sheets.  The style sheets are site root relative.  The code validates.
    http://www.sandsmuseum.com/coinop/games/evansraces/documentation/index.html
    In Dreamweaver, the page looks good in Design View.  Previewing in a browser looks good when the box to save temporary files is checked (replaces css inline for the input to the browser.)
    However the page is missing the CSS and an image that is site root relative when I try to view it with Live View.
    Does Live View only work with a test server?  I tried setting up a test server that points to the remote server but that does not seem to help.
    I am sure I am missing something.  Can someone please help?
    Thanks,
    Michael

    Apparently I did not ask the question correctly or even make it interesting.  Does anyone have a suggestion on how I might ask the question next time?

  • Using Live View with PHP

    Hi, I'm working locally on a Wordpress site via Dreamweaver in Live View. I can't save a background image in my CSS. It says no link can be found. I'm using MAMP.

    PHP pages require a server to render pages in browser.  If you want to view PHP pages on your local computer before uploading to remote server, you will need to install a local testing server.

  • Live view and permalinks, discover and stylesheets

    Hi!
    I have been pretty bad in using Dreamweavers features in general.
    I'm just using Code-view, upload every change, and view the result in a browser.
    This is a very time consuming way to work when it comes to small details like CSS.
    I have to questions about this:
    First. When I use discover it finds every PHP-file the current file is depending on. But not stylesheets.
    I make dynamic sites and has to open the stylesheet everytime a need to change everyting.
    I'd like to just click on the class/id I like to change in the dynamic file and the use the CSS-style tab to change information.
    ATM I have to include a <link /> to the stylesheet in every single file in the project.
    Is it posible to define one for the entire site?
    Second: About the LIve View. Live View would be great to use. How every, as I make dynamic sites I need to alter the urls.
    Instead of using http://www.site.com/site.php it should run http://www.site.com/site/ and include all HTML a broswer would see on that URL.
    Since the sites stylesheet and structure is in the index-file, http://www.site.com/site.php would generate a file with just the content of site.php and now structure or stylesheets what so ever.
    Is this posible?
    Thank you in advance!

    1.  I'm going to need a little more explanation to understand exactly what you are doing.  You are saying that with a dynamic file it is not finding your CSS.  Where is the CSS?  How is it included within the file structure?  Eg: Is it in the file you have open, in a file through an include, included locally vs remote?
    2.  I've noticed this as well that rewriting does not appear to work with Live View.  But remember if it is to be implemented you would have to assume that a user could be using a IIS, Coldfusion or Unix-based server for this.  For this you would need to file a feature request ( https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform ).  And in the latter part of your port, what I believe you are referring to is a current limitation of LiveView.  As noted with the users who they advertised could use it for WordPress, Adobe has said to see the site you will need to load the Index file to see what is going on because the Index file is the one that is processing all the data and requires the necessary includes, whereas the included file doesn't necessarily contain enough data to be processed as a standalone file.

  • CS5 Dynamic Files Live View NOT WORKING

    Hi, I just installed CS5 suite. I'm trying to work on a Drupal layout.  I am trying to use a testing server off site.  When I try to connect it says the site definition is not correct for this server, but when I go into server settings both the testing and remote server connections work and connect as expected.
    Is this feature only available if you are running the live view from your local host?  If so, do I need to set up the websites on my Mac in my php HTML server folder?   That is a pain because I don't save my sites to my boot disk...
    Jeff

    Well, I found one problem. The upload is ftp but when it copied the testing server it listed the home url as ftp.domain.com instead of as www.domain.com
    I updated that and it now connects, but the template page in any of my Drupal themes all show up as blank pages.  I see that you can only edit the currently active theme. So far so good.

  • Help with live view new camera options...

    Hey guys...I have recently bought a hahnel remote shutter release so that I can take pics on the top of a mast around seven metres up.
    I have a 5 inch monitor at ground level to view the pictures taken, using an av cable from the camera. Problem is, I cant get a continuous "live view" image on the monitor, as you need to hold down the * button whilst in live view to auto focus, so I have to put up with just the shot thats been taken showing up after each shot instead!
    Does anyone know of a canon that would offer a continuous live view image on my monitor, without having to press the * button to auto focus?
    Ideally it would be one from the list below, as they are the cameras that my new hahnel wireless remote supports!
    I hope someone can help! cheers!
    List of supported cameras...would any of these offer live view without the need to press * to autofocus and take a shot:
    Compatible Camera Models:
    EOS 1200D / 1100D / 1000D / 650D / 600D / 550D /500D / 450D / 400D / 350D / 300D /
    70D / 60D / 50D / 40D / 30D / 20D / 20Ds /
    10D / 7D / 6D / 5D / 5D Mark II / 5D Mark III
    1D / 1DX / 1DC / 1Ds Mark III / 1Ds Mark IV
    SX50HS
    Powershot G10 / G11 / G12 / G15 / G1X Mk II
    Pentax Pentax K-5 II / K-5 IIs / K-5 / K-7 / K10 / K20 / K50 / K100 /
    K200 / K500
    Samsung GX10 / GX20

    What camera are you using?  Most "modern" Canon SLRs allow you to set focus during live view.   You move a little rectangle around to select your focus area.   But you need more than a monitor, you'd either need a computer (like a small netbook) running EOS Utility, or a tablet with DSLR Remote or equivilent on it.  The 70D and 6D both have WiFi ability, so you can do it from a smart phone, tablet, or computer, no wires needed.

  • My Javascript works in Dreamweaver Live View, But Not On The Server

    I set up a javascript function to set the focus to the first field in a form as the page loads.  It works fine in Dreamweaver's Live View, but not on the local or remote servers.  Here's the code:
    In the heading I have the following function:
    <script type="text/javascript">
    function setFocus()
    document.getElementById("firstname").focus();
    </script>
    In the <head tag, I have:
    <body onload="setFocus()" ...
    and the first field in the form is:
                <input name="firstname" type="text" id="firstname" style="text-align: center; color: #009; text-transform: capitalize; font-variant: normal; font-weight: bold; line-height: normal; font-style: normal; font-size: 14px; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;" tabindex="1" value="<?php echo $fstname; ?>" size="15" maxlength="20">
    I guess I must be missing something, but don't know what.

    EUREKA! (and OOOPPPPSS!)  I found the problem (and I thought javascript was case sensitive - according to the tutorial, it's supposed to be).
    Here's apparently wha hoppen.  The first field in the form is the person's first name, but it's also a SPRY validation field.  I gave the actual field the name and id of "firstname", and the SPRY validation the name "FirstName", figuring that scripts would be case sensitive.  In fact, when I first inserted the SPRY object, I tried to name it "firstname" also, but it wouldn't let me, so I capitalized the first letters, and it accepted that; that made me feel that this is OK.  Here's the entire field's code:          <label>First Name:
               <span id="FirstName">
                <input name="fstname" type="text" id="fstname" style="text-align: center; color: #009; text-transform: capitalize; font-variant: normal; font-weight: bold; line-height: normal; font-style: normal; font-size: 14px; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;" tabindex="1" value="<?php echo $fstname; ?>" size="15" maxlength="20">
                <span class="textfieldRequiredMsg">A value is required.</span><span class="textfieldMinCharsMsg">Minimum number of characters not met.</span></span></label>
    I accidentally tripped over the answer when I started using the Dreamweaver's Edit>Find Next search to see if I had something else named "firstname", and I found that it located every permutation of that word (e.g. firstname, FirstName, FIRSTNAME etc.).  Having seen that, I tried changing the "name=" and "id=" to "fstname, and the same corresponding change in the javascript, and VOILA! it worked.  That leaves me rather curious about this alleged "case sensitivity" thing.  I get the impression that it IS case sensitive, except when IT'S NOT.  How does this work, and how do I know when it is and isn't?

  • Setting clipping/overlay/live view

    Hi.
    Coming from a CaptureOne Pro background, I'm new to the Lightroom environment.
    There are 3 things I would like to know.
    I've started to work in LR5 using MAC OS X Yosemite.
    1. Can one set the clipping to show highlight and shadow warnings for print?
         RGB values are 0 - 255,  want to set it to 10 - 245.
    2. Is it possible to change the opacity of the Loupe overlay as it stays at 100%?
    3. Is there a "live view" feature in LR5 to view compositions live before shooting?
    Regards
    Neville

    You can't do this in Soft Proof mode, but hold down the ALT key when adjusting the Exposure, Whites, or Blacks sliders to see individual RGB channel clipping. All other areas not clipped are Black making it easier to adjust these controls. ALT key is also helpful when adjusting the Detail panel sliders.

    Unfortunately no. I use the Canon EOS Utility Live View mode, which also allows remotely adjusting the camera and Speedlite settings. Lightroom is set to use a "Watched Folder" and I have RawDigger open to check actual raw data clipping when adjusting exposure or Speedlite flash settings. I seriously doubt you'll ever see this full-capability implemented in LR.

  • I would like to use my ipad 2 to get live view through my panasonic fz200. Possible?

    I have digital AV output from my panasonic lumix fz200. I have a lead which terminates in a USB plug. I know I can get a connector for my iPad2. What I can't seem to find out is if this will enable me to get a live view from my camera onto the iPad screen. This would help enormously in composing shots, as the view would be much larger than on the LCD screen of the camera.
    The camera also has HDMI output. However, I have been told that the iPad does not support HDMI input.
    All rather perplexing

    Unless the camera has support for remote viewing, there is likelly no way to get this functionality. I have seen certain Canon cameras with this functionality but that's with the use of a Canon created App that was availiable in the iOS App Store.
