LiveCach problem with log Area

In LiveCache monitoring I can see the message: "Log area full - back up log!"
I use the RSLVCBACKUP interactively with the parameter "Complete Data Backup". After running an error is displayed:
"Failed to determine media (Database connection: LCA)
Message no. LVC505 ".
Is it true I'm doing taking such measures for Log Area Backup. And if all true, how can I avoid mistakes LVC505?

Sounds like you did not configure a backup medium for your liveCache.
To get rid of the log-full situation you may just use DBMGUI now and take a full backup and activate autolog backup afterwards.
Once this is done you may check what's wrong with your report usage.

Problem with logging in to BW after installation finished

Hi all,
I've a problem with logging in to my BW after i've finished installing it.
First, i'd add that my system is a standalone server. the GUI and the Froentend are already installed on the server. I'm trying to login the BW from the server.
After i'm starting my BW server from the R3 Management Console I'm trying to login my system and i get dump even before i'm getting the Log-In screen of SAP BW.
the dump i'm getting is "DBIF_RSQL_INVALID_REQUEST".
I've no idea what to do, i am stuck in that situation for 1 week, couldn't find any information about it. I've tried to read logs and couldn't find something specific.
Someone suggested it's a connection problem, but couldn't help more than that.
Any help or suggestion is mostly welcomed,

I've increased the virtual memeory, but it didn't help. Doesn't seem to be memory or space problem but more like a connection problem (to the SQL server - which is located at same computer where i'm tryinf to run the BW).
And to your answer: I'm using SAP Gui 6.4

Help intermittent problem with logging in

Help i have intermittent problem with logging in, sometimes it just comes up with the desktop without any icons or dock and i have to restart the server so i can log on properly, but it doesn't happen all the time, any ideas would be appreciated???

The clients login window just shakes and won't login. I did find one thing that helps some of my Mac Lab woes.
Some students get a dock that only has 3 icons. These students also will have saving and printing problems when they get this default dock.
I think some of the problems occur when the student gets over quota, some preference files get corrupted.
1. Student will login.
2. Open the student's home folder. Then open Library and Preferences.
3. Find the file com.apple.homesync.plist and delete it.
4. Empty Safari Cache and the user's Trash Can and make sure they are not over quota.
5. Logout and login.
This will fix some problems, but not the problem when students can't login at all.

Problem with logging

Hi, I have a problem with logging into PSN. When I want to log into in there comes an error which is NW-31456-9. I have something like that for 1 day. Anyone know how to fix this? I tried manual settings for my internet but it doesn't work.

Did some more debugging. The application is an application running under the Glassfish 2.1.1 application server. The logger is configured in a Lifecycle module and accessed in an EJB module. Here is what I found.
With JDK 1.6.0_05, the logger that I get in the Lifecycle module is the same logger instance that I get within the EJB where I am logging. In the EJB, I get all of the handlers and print out the information and all is correct and the logging works with the handler.
Change the symbolic link to point to JDK 1.6.0_22 and the logger that I get in the Lifecycle module is not the same logger instance that I get within the EJB where I am logging. This time in the EJB, the logger's level is "null" and there is no handler associated with the logger. So that is why it is not logging. What I don't understand is why the logger instance is retrieved in the EJB is not the same logger instance in the Lifecycle module.
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Problem with logging in to apex application builder listener

I have problem with my settings and am posting this in hope that someone else out there had similar problem and solved it!
I am trying to use reverseproxy to access to our db through apex listener.
It's been all set-up and I can login to the application it self either through proxy or no proxy using the listener.
But when I try to login to apex application builder I cannot do it through proxy(with no proxy, it works).
It just refreshes the login page when I click login....
I tried to upgrade the listener to the latest v1.1(using 1.0.2) but it causes my tomcat to crash...
So solution i am looking for is how to make logging in work through proxy..
In the firebug it is showing that below and few other request status as 302 moved temporariry
http://myserver:8080/testsin/apex/wwv_flow.accept
Where as with no proxy it is saying Found.....
Any thoughts??

so proxy and Tomcat are located on different machines as well? Is the proxy able to commuicate with the Tomcat on the configured internal ports and is the proxy able to lookup the hostname you configured for the Tomcat?
For the connector, the proxyName and proxyPort should be the parameters the client uses to call APEX. So if your clients should call via http://proxyserver:8080/testsin/apex the settings would be
proxyName=proxyserver
proxyPort=8080Reason for this is that applications (e.g. the APEX Listener) generate there URL references with these parameters.
But does your proxy actually serve on port 8080? And is that port accessible by clients? Do clients accept cookies from that server?
In my case, there is only one 302 which redirects to http://host:port/apex/f?p=4500:1000:sessionid which is correct.
If you look into your first post request in firebug, what's in the request header?

there are some korean websites that I used to go
frequently with my PC....
they work with the web browsers I have...
and yet,I cannot log in for some reason...
can somebody help me find out
why it is not logging in or
if somebody knows will u tell me??

It's as if the page were cut up and dropped onto my screen, with some areas not readable or partially visible, and usually all the blanks to fill in are covered. I have tried to log into their discussion group but when I try to activate my account. I find the Continue button is covered by the site's various tabs. An email to Palm has resulted in no answer yet, but I'm hoping someone here has had a similar problem. This has happened on only one or two other websites and I can't remember which ones.
By the way, I am using the Explorer 5.3 browser which comes with my bellsouth.net email program. Besides the loyalty to Mac, should I switch over to using Safari? I see a number of problems using it, like not being able to log into bank chsecking account websites.

Bob,Welcome to Apple Discussions. Palm web site seems fine in Safari 1.3.1 under Panther, but is improperly rendered in IE 5.2. There are several Web Browsers available for the Mac and IE is one that is no longer supported. I've not come across any issues with Safari yet. (Just a couple of sites tell me I'm going to have problems - but I don't). Here are some other choices of Mac Web browsers. (The ones in Red are the full on browsers.)
What version of Safari are you using?

Problem with Tools Area iView Creation - Help Needed.

Hi Guys,
I am having a small problem with the Tool Area Par, I downloaded the Par and have edited it and then redeployed it on the Portal, however when I am creating an iView I am getting the Following error:
Portal Runtime Error
An exception occurred while processing a request for :

Problem with logging in Creative Cloud account

Hi, I have a problem with my Creative Cloud account. It seems like I logged out about a week ago and when I tried to log in again just now I didn't succed as the program said I have logged out of the system. My password is correct, I even changed it, it still does not work. I can log in on the internet though and my subscribtion is paid, I have no idea what to do. Please. Help.

Problems with CC are REALLY getting old.

I spend a great deal of my day trying to get Adobe CC to work like it should. Right now I have a spinning beach ball on the Desktop app and the AAM never seems to work. It just sits there in the DOCK bouncing it's little self to death...
I CONSTANTLY have to change the OOBE file so I can RE-DOWNLOAD and RE-INSTALL. After I do that, about a day later I have to do it all over again. I can't tell you how many times I've run permissions repair and various other time consuming things trying to get this stuff to work. And by the way, were are a three bay editorial shop and all three bays have problems with ADOBE CC programs.
Come on guys. I use this software professionally and have NEVER had so many problems with a program. Yesterday AE, PP and Photoshop ALL said they were needing to be reinstalled! I spend at least half a day just trying to get this CC stuff to work.
Seriously it is flawed and not ready to be released to the professional community. We need these programs to work - day in, day out. We don't need to be contantly "Upgrading" "Re-installing" Re-downloading" and changing numerous files to "OLD" to get your stuff to work.
And the on-line staff in India is really a joke. I've not had them EVER solve a problem! The only solutions are from other users that have found work arounds. (Still have the spinning beach ball on the CC Desktop app....) How many other programs require you to constantly open Activity Monitor and KILL them there because they won't even Force Quit? I suspect ONLY ADOBE CC programs.

I got it fixed by a round about way. Another user wrote a script that allows you to kill all the running programs and clean up so you can do the new install. You can do a google search for: Adobe CC Updater Fix 2.workflow

Problem with Stacked area chart

Hi all,
I'm working on delivery data according to month having input(combo) as the year. I'm trying to display the data in percentages in Stacked area chart having series as ontime delivery, 1 week late, 2 weeks late,........5 weeks late and category labels as months. The problem is when I take the Preview of data I get to see the data for ontime, 1 week , 2 week as it should be but when I hover the mouse over the 2 weeks data area mouse over values shows 5 weeks data(0 %) where as in reality the colored area belongs to 2 weeks data. I tried to delete 5 weeks series data and now it shows as 4 weeks data.
What could be the problem ?

Problem with depreciation area (Incorrect currency exchange rate is used)

Good day to all SDN forumers!
I'm having a problem with one depreciation area that we set up. The reason why we configured this depreciation area is for us to enable to monitor all asset postings in another (group) currency aside from the local currency. We set it up in such a way that the depreciation would not post and would thus only "convert" the asset postings to group currency using the table rates in table TCURR (via OB08).
The problem is despite having defined an exchange rate for the current period, the system still picks up the exchange rate for 01/01/2001 which is incorrect. This affected all reports which displays incorrect values whenever I view the postings using the 2nd depreciation area we set up. Is there a way we can correct this?
I'd really appreciate your comments and suggestions guys. Thanks a lot and more power!

Update:
I created a new depreciation area by copying an existing area and updated some of the configuration. The problem is still there though, since the depreciation area still reflects the incorrect rate (similar to that of the previous depreciation area) whenever I access it using Asset Explorer. What's surprising is that even though I've already set the exchange rate (e.g. USD to EUR) to match that of the asset's capitalization / acquisition date, the posted values still do not reflect what I defined in table TCURR. Instead, it reflects the exchange rate used by the old depreciation area. Help anyone? We are already in a production client and transfer/retirement of all the assets is not an option the client would like to undertake.

Problems with result area in workbooks after upgrade to BW 3.5

Hi,
we are experiencing some problems with our workbooks after the upgrade to BW 3.5. When refreshing all queries in a workbook (that was there before 3.5) without selecting a specific query we get the message 'Result area cannot be found, specify a new one'. After selecting, the message appears again in an infinite loop.
Has anybody had similar problems and has found a solution for this?

Hi,
I am having that message, always if I delete a Sheet which contains an embeded query.
Even the sheet is deleted, the SAPBEX has information of all the embeded queries, and tries to find the Result area to put the data.
To find out if this is your case as well,
select an empty cell in a Sheet and continue like that, until all the embeded queries are been displayed.

Graphics Problems with Log in screen and iPhoto

I have been having some problems with my brand new MacBook Pro. The graphic card seems to be going broken sometimes and it seems to be happening more often.
MacBook Pro 1
First I bought a new mac to replace my old one, i restored it from a Time Machine back up. When my MacBook Pro went to sleep the screen turns black and you click and the screen blocks up and more of the screen unblocks as you move the mouse, I never experience this problem with my old MBP. So I took it back to the shop where they gave me a brand new one, they said it was clearly a graphics problem.

I installed the time machine back up straight away and I experience the same problem again and a few days later a iPhoto problem happens again lots of times. Examples of what happens are in the video pasted below.
