  • How to configure Adobe LiveCycle designer on my SAP Server?

    Dear friends.
I have installed SAP ECC 6.0 and Adobe LiveCycle designer ES 8.2 on my computer.
Now I want to use Adobe LiveCycle designer in SAP by TCODE:SFP.
Please tell me how to configure Adobe LiveCycle designer on my SAP Server in details.

    Hi MSReddy,
You don't need to configure it on SAP server. It should be installed on you desktop only.
Install ADLC on your desktop and open SFP it should work. If its not showing you the layout it means you are using wrong version of ADLC. Use ADLC downloaded from SAP Service market place only.(service.sap.com), else it will create problems.

  • How to install fonts in Adobe Livecycle Designer

    Hi All,
I want to install new fonts in adobe LiveCycle designer.
I installed this fonts in Control Panel >Fonts>File -->Install New Fonts and it is possible to see them in  Livecycle Designer but when i preview the adobe print form this not work.
I found in the installation of the ADS configuration Guide this informations.
Adobe document services require access to fonts that are installed with the Font Manager Module. This module contains a number of Adobe bundled fonts installed in /usr/sap//j2ee/os_libs/adssap/FontManagerService/fonts/adobe.
You can also add fonts obtained from other vendors. The types of fonts you can add are OpenType® (.otf), TrueType® (.ttf), and PostScript® Type 1 (.pfb/.pfm).
So the question is how can i install new fonts so as to use in Adobe Forms?
I will appreciate any help and documentations about.
    Thank you,
       Ari

Create a subdirectory called fonts below the

Create a subdirectory called customer below the fonts directory created in the previous step
Copy your font file(s) into the customer directory
Restart the "Document Services Font Manager" for the changes to take effect.Use Visual Admin on the Adobe Document server
      i.      Expand "Server à Services "
ii.      Restart the Document Services Font Manager
    Also restart the application com.adobe/AdobeDocumentServices
Expand "Server à Services à Deploy"

  • How do I access LiveCycle Designer from my Adobe Acrobat X Pro?

I am unable to access LifeCycle ES2 from my Adobe Acrobat X pro, even though I am supposed to have it as part of the software.  I have tried Forms/Edit forms, and I have looked for it through all the menus.  Several of the helps I have found for other things has me launch LifeCycle and operate from screens that LifeCycle designer provides.
I am using Windows XP professional.
I would appreciate all the help I can get on this.
    Thanks

This worked!   I had to go into the system and launch it from the Designer
9.0 folder, but thanks to your instructions I now have use of it.

There is a terminology issue here.  From Acrobat Pro X you launch Designer
not LiveCycle ES2.  LiveCycle is a server product.
When you install Acrobat you have the option to install or not install
Designer.  Look in the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 10.0
and check to see if there is a Designer 9.0 folder.  When in Acrobat you
should be able to create a new form and it will prompt if you want to use
Designer.  If all else fails you can always go into the Designer 9.0
    folder and launch FormDesigner.exe

  • How to populate Adobe LiveCycle Designer generated  PDF Forms with data from Database in Windows app

    Hi
I have a PDF template designed in Adobe LiveCycle Designer. This template has form fields which needs to be filled with data programmatically. I am using windows application in C#.Net 2005 in which I want to retrieve data from database and merge this data into PDF form in respective fields.
    How this can be achieved?
I searched a lot & I found that we can process the XDP file generated from PDF to acheive this. I created the XDP file out of the PDF template created in designer. But I don't know how to merge data from database into that XDP file in respective fields and again convert this XDP file back to PDF programmatically. Can anybody help me ? This is urgent.
    Thanks in advance.

  • File Upload field in livecycle designer

    Hi

The ability to attach documents is ONLY available if the user has Acrobat OR if the form has been Reader Enabled in the full LC Reader Extensions ES2.5.
    See here: http://assure.ly/etkFNU.
    Hope that helps,
    Niall
    Hi Niall,
Your answer and example is very helpful. I design a lot of forms with LiveCycle Designer ES2, and because of your answer here, I now know that the users of my forms will not be able to add attachments just by me "enabling Reader" from Acrobat.
I have been trying to find what it would cost for me to have LiveCycle Reader Extensions. I spoke with an Adobe sales rep, and she didn't seem to understand the concept (that the user cannot upload attachments without Reader Extensions having enabled it). She said something about the cost starting @ $50,000. What!? Is she talking about the same thing I need? Then she directed me to contact Customer Service.
I'm not sure who to turn to for my specific situation. I am the only one in my company using LiveCycle Designer and just need to enable a couple dozen people to be able to upload attachments to a form.
    Any advice would be appreciated.

  • Uninstall Adobe LiveCycle Designer

    Hi to all,
I installed CS3 Design Premium on my laptop, including Acrobat Professional 8. It installed Adobe LiveCycle Designer too, but I don't use it, so I want to remove it to recover HD space.
I ran the installation DVD of CS3 to get rid of the application, but It doesn't show the option to remove only LiveCycle Designer and keep the Acrobat 8 Installation intact.
Is there a way to remove it safety?
I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit, Intel Centrino Duo processor, 1.5 Gb of ram.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Jaun,
What you need todo is goto Add/Remove Programs.. and then click "Remove/Modify" Acrobat...
    In the configuration popup wizard
    --> click Modify application
--> When the wizard gives the option to select components, deselect LC Designer
Awesome... trust this will sort you out

    Hi experts,
I'm getting troubles while trying to make a New Data Connection to R3 from Adobe LiveCycle Designer. The error say's "Cannot proccess unicode RFC in non-unicode system (for details see note 875767#)".
I know R3 was configured non-unicode and Adobe is unicode, but non of them let me change this property even in Adobe options or in RFC options. How can I solve this problem without changing unicode R3 kernel configuration?

  • Changing Adobe LiveCycle Designer Language

    Hello everyone,
I have installed NWW04s Sneak Preview and the installation program "decided" to install my Adobe LiveCycle Designer in my mother-language (instead of English).
Does anyone knows how to configure this in the Designer?
I have searched the internet but without success. Nevertheless, I took a look at my installation directory
    C:Program FilesAdobeDesigner 7.1
and it seems that the resources needed for several languages are there available. I also tried to change the language in file FormDesigner.ini but without success.
    Thanks in advance,
    Vasco

    Hi,
If you check in the same folder, there is a file called <b>FormDesigner.ini</b> .
Here I guess we can set the language. Here change the language EN to your mother-language.
    Thanks

  • Problem with Adobe LiveCycle Designer

    Hi,
I am working with ADOBE Interactive form.while clicking  Edit option on the Interactive Form UI Element I am getting the Following error.
    I have registered WDAdobeControl.dll also.
    Error:
Install SAP InteractiveForms - Adobe LiveCycle Designer.
    Regards,
    Ramesh.

Did you install the Adobe document services on a Java stack and configure them properly? It sounds like that's missing. The ADS is teh runtime component you need to generate the PDFs.
For more information, check http://service.sap.com/adobe > Media Library > Documentation

    Hi,
I have installed Adobe LiveCycle Designer 7.1 for interactive forms. But when I try to edit the Interactive form I am getting the following message.
    Could not retrieve product:
Install SAP Interactive Forms -Adobe LiveCycle Designer
    to edit the interactive form.
I reffered to SAP Note 962763 to install it.
I also tried with installing adobe livecycle designer 6.0.
But I am getting the same problem.
Do we need to configure anything?
Any information in this regard will be greatly helpful.
    Regards,
    Sumangala

Uninstall and do reboot and install it again. Once you installed the Adobe Live Cycle Component, you need to configure the J2EE server.
    1) Put credential file in
    usr\sap\J2E\SYS\global\AdobeDocumentServices\TrustManagerService\trust\credentials directory.
    2) Go to visual Administrator
         I. Go to Cluster -> services -> Document services Configuration
             put Alias name
             browse your creditial file
             put password and confirm password
         II.
            Cluster -> services -> web service security ->  tc~....webdynpro.adsproxy.AdsProxy/ConfigPort_Document
Change Connection Settings URL http://<your_host>:<port> rest remains unchanged and save it.
    3) Go to UME, reset ADSUser password.

  • Creating PDF's - Cannot get Arial to work - only getting MyriadPro (Adobe LiveCycle Designer 8.2 + Adobe Output ES Server on Linux (SUSE10))

    Hi
I am using Adobe LiveCycle Designer 8.2 + Adobe Output ES Server on Linux (SUSE10) to create PDF's from input XML.
I have had some trouble getting Arial fonts which are used in my LiveCycle Designer created XDP's to be produced in the resulting PDF using the java API or the Process Flow (watched folder) in Output ES.  I have put Arial TTF fonts into both the Server Fonts and Customer Fonts folders and the Arial font still seems to be coming out as MyriadPro in the final PDF.
Is there something I am doing wrong ?
    Regards
    Robert.

    Hello Jackson,
We got this working by adding the below fonts to the server-fonts directory on the jvm which you specify in the LCM when you configure the livecycle and bounced the jvm and thing to note down here is that we added our Windows system fonts which are "ttf" files and our jvm is on linux. You can give a shot and see if this works at your end also.
    Fonts added:
    ARIALN.TTF
    ARIALNI.TTF
    ARIALNB.TTF
    ARIALNBI.TTF
    ariali.ttf
    arialbi.ttf
    arialbd.ttf
    arial.ttf
    Thanks-
    Karthik.

  • LiveCycle Designer won't preview with Reader DC.  Preview mode will not work.  Attempting to preview gets errors (507:507), (103:103), and sometimes crashes LiveCycle Designer.  How do i get preview mode?

I can not get LiveCycle's preview mode to work.  It has worked in the past, but now with Reader DC i can't use preview mode.  How do i get Adobe LiveCycle designer to work with Reader DC?

    nikg-fh schrieb:
it seems the problem is caused directly by adobe reader X.
I just have started a new descussion here (adobe reader forum).
If anyone could help me, feel free to do so!
    my configuration:
    windows xp pro
    adobe reader x
adobe livecycle designer 9 ( therefore it is not an version 8 issue )
admin rights on the pc ; )
I might add that you are not alone!
I am having the same problem (LSD ES2 (version 9.0.0....) and Adobe Reader X and Acrobat Professional 8)
Whenever I save a form as PDF and open it with Reader or Acrobat I get to see the console.
But never when I view the form in Designer preview!
That used to work until I installed Reader X.
Same as you I checked all configurations in Reader and Acrobat: all perfect.
I really do hope that someone finds a solution for this.
PS. This problem should be discussed in THIS forum. It is clearly a Designer problem!

  • Is it too much to ask that a Mac user can just OPEN and USE a PDF form created by LiveCycle Designer PC software?!?

My problem is just that- I have created all my forms using LiveCycle Designer because it is easier to make the forms accessible to individuals with disabilities.  Apparently it doesn't make Mac users have access to the forms.  I've received complaints from Mac users that cannot complete or submit the forms that I created.  I'm not asking how to recreate using another software, I know how to do that.  I'm asking is there a work around to allow a Mac user to open a PDF form or even XML (bedded within an HTML page) on a Mac computer WITHOUT having to use bootcamp, parallels, etc. and be able to complete the form and submit, print or email it?????  I've exhausted all my knowledge on this thus far and I'm hoping to find something that will help.  So far all forums talk about how Mac users need to have a PC side to their computer.  Isn't there another way?
I've attached an example form that we are no longer using (though still created exactly the same as the others)
    Thanks!

Hi, as far as I can infer, that term means it's not loading any resources until needed, opposite of this...
    -bind_at_load
Sets a bit in the mach header of the resulting binary which tells dyld to bind all symbols                when the binary is loaded, rather than lazily.
    https://developer.apple.com/library/mac/documentation/Darwin/Reference/ManPages/ man1/ld.1.html
    Load resources lazily.
You should never load a resource file until it is actually needed. Prefetching resource files may seem like a way to save time, but this practice actually slows down your app right away. In addition, if you end up not using the resource, loading it wastes memory for no good purpose.
    http://developer.apple.com/library/ios/#documentation/iphone/conceptual/iphoneos programmingguide/PerformanceTuning/PerformanceTuning.html
And, higher OS versionsare even worse with Bonjour/mDNSResponder, but might see this...
