LiveCycle designer V7: Dynamic PDF with QR-Code barcode

I want to include QR-Code barcode into my forms.
When I try it, I only see a greyed area.
Online product help, give us the supported barcode format.
For QR-Code, I can read "hardware-rendered", could you please explain to me the signification? What do I need to effectly include QR-Code barcode into my dynamic PDF forms.
Thank you for your help.

I have read that some bar codes need to be printed by specific printers and those will show up as gray on screen. Code QR is a hardware barcode and is only supported by specific printers. (according to the help file) if you want to see the code on the page you may want to try PDF 417, another 2D barcode, which can hold up to 1800 ASCII characters.

  • Flowable Tables in LiveCycle Designer as Dynamic PDFs

    Hi just wondering if in a table under Row 1 I can add an additional field and it will still be flowable (see attached)
    If there are multiple items that need to be added I want the user to be able to add additional notes that is also expandable but I want it to remain as a list format like the attached - is this possible?

    Lorain,
    I am not sure if this can be done with LiveCycle Designer,  we have done this with a product that works with LiveCycle.  You can feed the XML data to DocOrigin and it supports this for output to PCL, PS, PDF and HTML.  Not sure if it this will help you.  You can also convert the XDP to use it in the DocOrigin Designer.   DocOrigin will not replace LC Forms but can be a nice addition for generation of the output for print, email or web.
    Here is a sample of the output  The table has a detail line item followed by 1 to X descriptive comments.  Another nice feature is the ability to alter the background color of every other line item, this is done by checking a box.   Support for Widows and Orphans is also supported across pages and pagination is automatic.   You can also include images in the detail line, however we had to keep the image small in this case because we do not know in advance how may comments are going to be included with any given line item.

  • HELP ME PLEASE !!! dynamic pdf with table grows each time it's saved and reopened??? HELP PLEASE !

    Hi, I hope someone can help me. I created a form (dynamic pdf) with Livecycle ES 8.2.
    This document has a table in which rows are added when the user clicks on a button.
    The document in design stage takes up no more than 1/2 an A4. Here are my two problems;
    1. When the document is opened in Reader (9.3) it is all formatted correctly accept the one row, in it's default state (which can be added to by clicking button) is now three rows????
    2. Whether the two extra rows are deleted or filled in or whether more rows are added and filled in, if the document is saved and opened again with reader it has grown to a full page (of empty default rows). If saved again, it grows to 4 pages and so on.
    Can somebody please help me. I can supply a copy of my file if necessary.
    I don't know if this makes a difference, but the document is protected with a password to open in Livecycle and it also has user rights assigned for the user to be able to save a copy on their local machine (not just allowed to fill out and print).
    My email is [email protected]
    Would appreciate any help that can be offered. My document is ready (accept for this issue) for me to use in my job.
    Regards
    Bradd

    Bradd,
    Please forward the form and I can take a look. If you want to forward a version of the form that is not password protected or send the password in a separate email, that is up to you.

  • [LiveCycle Designer] Send Field Value with FDF Response

    Hiya. I'm trying to send two FDF responses, a status message and a field/pair value, from a PHP script that has processed a HTTP POST. The status message is sent to the form successfully, but the field value is not sent to a form created in LiveCycle Designer (ES4 Version 11). Here's what I have:
    <?php
    header('Content-type: application/vnd.fdf');
    // read and store the data however you want
    // reply with some FDF data
    echo <<<RESPONSE
    %FDF-1.2
    1 0 obj
    << /FDF <<
    /Status (Wham bam! Journal data sent electronically. Save a copy of this PDF for your records.)
    /Fields [ <</T(batchnum)/V(testt)>> ]
    >>
    >>
    endobj
    trailer
    << /Root 1 0 R >>
    %%EOF
    RESPONSE;
    ?>
    <?php
    I think I have tried the gamut, removed "!", "copy", "for" from the status message; adding quotes, single and double, as well as ``; spacing; changing and verifying field names; send only the /Status and sending only /Fields (btw no errors while is still not sent); and on. Additionally, the above PHP code works perfectly, sending both status and fields, on a form created in Acrobat Pro XI. But no success in LiveCycle where I need the form created to dynamically manage rows and such. Ideas? Anyone?

    It looks like the FDF you've written was designed for an AcroForm. You can still use a FDF on a XFA form, but it has to be done a bit differently. Use JavaScipt inside the FDF to set your fields. E.g.:
    %FDF-1.2
    1 0 obj
    <<
    /FDF
    <<
    /JavaScript << /After (FieldIWantTomodify.rawValue = ("My new value");) >>
    >>
    >>
    endobj
    trailer
    <<
    /Root 1 0 R
    >>
    %%EOF

  • Flattening Dynamic pdf with .xdp fragment

    Hello,
    I'm having problems, flattening merged dynamic pdf's , that have fragments from a source .xdp file, if i set default values inside the xdp, it shows up. They are generated inside the .xdp with some javascript code. They show up in the dynamic version, but they are gone in the static version, Anyone knows a solution for this?
    Thanks in advance.

    Was the form you are trying to import this data to created with LiveCycle Designer?
    I would fill in the form then export the data to XDP and see what the differences are.

  • Dynamic PDFs with Digital Signatures?

    LCD 9 – Acrobat 9 standard/Pro
    Looking for the definitive answer on this one.  My PDFs have a need to be both dynamic and use multiple digital signatures.  For now I design as static with multi dig sig and deal with break-out forms and such via a portfolio.
    It would be nice if I could design a form that has both flowable sections (think dynamically added rows in a table using script, or even simple textfields that expand as you fill them up via flowed content areas) and these digital signatures.  As soon as I make that PDF dynamic the signatures are immediately invalidated as the form shows changes.
    Is there any workaround to this?  Some of the process I have to design for need flowed fields, and all require digital signatures on the form.  We use Entrust as the security for dig sig - and that will not change so cannot use any inherent Adobe signature security methods.
    Thanks,
    Jim

    Hi Jim,
    Yes, the file was created for Acrobat 10, but other than the warning you see on file open it will behave the same way in 9.x as it does in 10. However that said, you don't want to look at the file in Acrobat because you can't edit it or see the layout there. You need to view the file in LiveCycle Designer which gets installed along with Acrobat, and when you do get the file open in Designer it won't complain. Once you get the file open in Acrobat select the Forms > Edit Form in Designer menu item and that's where you can see the properties used to get page flow to work.
    I've attached another copy without any data that won't complain when you open it in Acrobat. It is for all intents and purposes the same file, the only reason there are fewer pages is due to the lack of data in the table.

  • LiveCycle Form Email a PDF with modified Body (GER)

    Hallo
    Habe ein Problem beim senden einer Mail mithilfe eines Buttons in Adobe LiveCycle Designer. Ich möchte bei click eine Mail abschicken welche es mir ermöglicht das PDF anzuhängen + den Body und den Betreff zu verändern.
    Mein Versuch gelingt allerdings nur mit einer xml datei im Anhang. Mein Code dazu sieht so aus:
    TopmostSubform.P1.LEITWEG.Schaltfläche1::click - (JavaScript, client)
    var Mailto = "[email protected]";
    var Betreff = "hallo";
    var Nachricht = "Verteiler ergänzen\rBei F6-F12, HR CB ([email protected]) aus Verteiler löschen\rName MA im Betreff ergänzen\rAbsender nicht vergessen\rDiese Zeilen löschen\r\rWir bitten Sie, die entsprechenden Massnahmen einzuleiten und danken Ihnen für Ihre Bemühungen.\r\rFreundliche Grüsse";
    var CC = "[email protected]";
    var BCC = "";
    var Mail = "mailto:" + Mailto + "?Subject=" + Betreff + "&Body=" + Nachricht + "&cc=" + CC + "&bcc=" + BCC;
    event.target.submitForm({
    cURL: Mail,
    bEmpty: true,
    cSubmitAs: "XML"
    Dies Funktioniert soweit auch, allerdings nur wenn cSubmitAs: "XML" das so ist. Wenn ich eine Pdf Endung möchte wird die Datei als .fdf File geschickt welches man nicht öffnen kann im Reader.
    Ich habe es dann auf eine andere Weise versucht indem ich beim Button folgende Optionen genommen habe.
    Kontrolltyp-->Absenden anstelle von Normal
    AbsendenTab-->
    Absenden an URL: mailto:[email protected]
    senden als: PDF
    Dies funktioniert allerdings auch nicht. Ich habe in Foren gelesen, das man irgendwie Usage Rechte hinzufügen muss beim AdobeReader damit das funktioniert. Ich habe allerdings nur den Adobe Reader IV zur verfügung und keinen Pro, und bei mir gibt es diese Optionen bei Speichern unter nicht gibt "enable additional features", bei mir gibt es nur speicher als, "word oder excel" und "text".
    Anbei noch die Datei indem ich das mit den Usage Rechten noch bräuchte
    Vielen Dank für Eure Hilfe
    Hoffe ich habe es nicht zu umständlich beschrieben
    Gruss Sky

    Thank you for responding.
    I don't know much about Dreamweaver, but I did what you suggested.  I used the "cross media export" button and exported the document as HXTML/Dreamweaver.
    I then opened the file with Dreamweaver.  I could see all my images so I just clicked on each one and did Insert/Hyperlink.  I entered the URL (the images all link to other web pages) in the "Link" field and clicked Ok.
    I'm not sure how I should export this file or if I've done everything I need to.
    Again, my goal is to send this document in the body of an email to all of our clients.  And the links within the file need to be active.
    I'm attaching 2 files here.  The first is the ID file with links in place.  The 2nd is the DW file exported as XHTML.
    Whatever anyone can do to help me would  be so awfully appreciated.  Thank you in advance for any support you can offer me!

  • LiveCycle designer 8.2 issues with Office 2010

    Good Day All;
    We are in the middle of upgrading from Windows XP / Office 2003 to Windows 7 (32bit) / Office 2010 and I was wondering if there are any issues with Livecycle designed and Office 2010.
    I have been that Adobe Acrobat 8.2 does not support Office 2010. I ran into that with trying to install PDF maker.
    Any comments will be helpful.
    Regards
    Chomp

    We recently upgraded to Win 7 and to Acrobat 9 (didn't upgrade Office so cannot comment on that). The only issue I have found (and I can only assume it was
    due to the OS upgrade or the Acrobat upgrade (or both)) is that I lost use of my Preview tab. In order to be able to preview a form now in LiveCycle, I must first open an instance of Acrobat, otherwise I don't even get a Preview tab. Also, the preview doesn't show up in the Preview tab...it actually opens in Acrobat.
    Weird, but I'm getting used to it.

  • LiveCycle Designer won't preview with Reader DC.  Preview mode will not work.  Attempting to preview gets errors (507:507), (103:103), and sometimes crashes LiveCycle Designer.  How do i get preview mode?

    I can not get LiveCycle's preview mode to work.  It has worked in the past, but now with Reader DC i can't use preview mode.  How do i get Adobe LiveCycle designer to work with Reader DC?

    nikg-fh schrieb:
    it seems the problem is caused directly by adobe reader X.
    I just have started a new descussion here (adobe reader forum).
    If anyone could help me, feel free to do so!
    my configuration:
    windows xp pro
    adobe reader x
    adobe livecycle designer 9 ( therefore it is not an version 8 issue )
    admin rights on the pc ; )
    I might add that you are not alone!
    I am having the same problem (LSD ES2 (version 9.0.0....) and Adobe Reader X and Acrobat Professional 8)
    Whenever I save a form as PDF and open it with Reader or Acrobat I get to see the console.
    But never when I view the form in Designer preview!
    That used to work until I installed Reader X.
    Same as you I checked all configurations in Reader and Acrobat: all perfect.
    I really do hope that someone finds a solution for this.
    PS. This problem should be discussed in THIS forum. It is clearly a Designer problem!

  • Haw to create dynamic PDF with dynamic flowing tables across pages?

    Hi!
    Sorry for my english, I use it very rarely
    I try creating PDF form with many tables (example document: https://docs.google.com/open?id=0BxTpZtaOkLBbcEJzdGJFcXVSWDJ0RlladUZJd1hMZw). But, when the table or any element hit the bottom of page, they just flow over it. Also in designer elements don't distribute across pages but just disappear on first page bottom. I want to dynamically distribute elements across pages. What I do incorrect?

  • Make PDF with source code area

    Hi, would it be possible to make a PDF is copy-able source code areas? In these areas I would like to keep syntax highlighting and other things like the font preserved? Would InDesign be the place to accomplish this creation? Thanks

    Certainly a PDF can have any document layout, font, colour you want.  You'd use whatever app you'd normally use to prepare this sort of document. InDesign perhaps, but Word is popular too.
    WARNING though: if you are planning to disribute code for people to copy/paste/reuse, then PDF IS NOT THE WAY TO DO IT. Include source samples as well as the book pages.

  • Issues creating a PDF with a Code3of9 Barcode

    I hope someone can help me. I am experiencing problems creating PDF's that have a Code3of9 barcode TTF font in them. I am using Word 2007 and enter the barcode value "*1234567*" etc and select create PDF from the PDF add-in menu. It starts working and then comes up with an Acrobat Distiller has stopped working error box. I receive the same error if I try using file / print and then select PDF printer. I have tried rebooting several times and still get the same issue.
    I am using Windows Vista Business, MS Office 2007 and Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional V8.1.0.
    Thanks

    If the data isn't removed from the document, then it's not redaction – it's just hiding.
    So to change the question…
    Can you HIDE data/content in a PDF and only show it if someone enters the correct password?  Yes.

  • Updating Tag Name using Adobe Professional for PDF form created with Tags in Adobe Livecycl Designer

    I have created a form using Adobe Livecycle Designer. These PDF forms have Tags on them when created and generted from Adobe livecycle designer.

  • Saving form last modified in LiveCycle Designer as PDF version 1.4

    I have a PDF fillable form that was last modified/saved in LiveCycle Designer. The PDF is currently version 1.7, but I need to reduce it to version 1.4 (for compatibility reasons). The way I normally do this is to open the PDF in Acrobat and use the optimizer to save it down to version 1.4, but with this form I'm getting a message that says "The PDF document contains an Adobe XML form. Such files cannot be optimized." I downloaded the trial version of Designer ES4, but I'm not having any luck taking it down to version 1.4. Does anyone know if  it's possible to save down this kind of PDF to version 1.4?

    LiveCycle PDFs aren't normal Acrobat PDFs, they're an XML file with a wrapper - that's why you can't optimize them.
    You can't save to specific PDF versions, but you can change the target version of the form from Designer. I'm not sure what options Designer ES4 gives you but under the Defaults tab of File>Form Properties you can change the Target Version - I'm using ES2 can can change the compatibility back to Acrobat 7.0.5 (PDF 1.6).

  • Help with LiveCycle Designer ES 8.2

    I created a form in LiveCycle Designer ES 8.2 with a digital signature field so that any one can open it and fill it in and add a signature in adobe reader x ver 10.1.3. However, any one that opens it gets an error that says, "the security settings on this document prevent adding text and/or placing a signature on it from Adobe Reader. To fill and sign this document you need to print it out." The whole point is to not print it out so how do I change the security settings so that anyone can digitally sign this document in Adobe Reader  X?

    The document additionally needs to be Reader-enabled with Acrobat Pro. In case someone else read this, Acrobat Standard is not capable of adding the digital signature usage right.
