LiveCycle Process Automation Exam Bulletin Questions

I have two questions about the LiveCycle Process Automation exam bulletin, more specific about topic 6 "Working with Content Space".
- What exactly is meant by the following : understand the constraints related to exposing a business process to Content Space. Does it mean the constraints when invoking a LiveCycle Process from Content Space? What are these constraints then? Document variable as input parameter,... ?
- Customize the default review and approval process : where can I find this process? Is this part of the Review and Commenting application?

Hi Gert,
For the first part of your question ... yes it does mean the constraints when invoking a LiveCycle Process from Content Space.
For the second part of your questions re: Review and Approval see the following http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/9.0/samples/lc_sample_sdk.html and and look under the Content Services section.
Take care.

  • Exam Certification Questions

Hello - I am attenmpting to find out some information from Adobe in regards to the LiveCycle Certification Process but am not having any luck. I thought a post here may help.
LiveCycle Developer is a seperate certification from the LiveCycle Form Developer Certification? Is this correct?
Form Developer 9A0-156 can be written at anytime, there are no pre-requisites?
I see 8 certifications on the website, should all 8 be obtained, what is the title you would receive?
I found information on the Adobe site in regards to a Adobe LiveCycle ES application Developer (9A0-081), however this is not listed on the certifications page. Is this a new course or on that has been de-commissioned?
    Thanks for your help!

    Hi,
There is no pre-requisties to write Form Developer Exam. To be certified as a LiveCycle ES2 Developer, you must pass LiveCycle ES2 Core ACE Exam and atleast one LiveCycle elective exam.
Here are the LiveCycle Developer Certification Elective Exams:
9A0-137 Adobe LiveCycle ES2 Process Automation
9A0-138 Adobe LiveCycle ES2 Document Output
9A0-139 Adobe LiveCycle ES2 Data Capture
9A0-140 Adobe LiveCycle ES2 Digital Security
    Hope this helps...

  • CLAD Sample Exam 1, question 2:

CLAD Sample Exam 1, question 2: can a wire be used to pass date between 2 llps that are intended to be runn in parallel?  CLAD Sample exam1  provides the following url as an answer:  http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/9393 . ambiguous?   Just because you intend for the loops to run in parallel doesn't mean they actually do it.  BUT, the data will still be passed between the loops eventually, so technically, YES, a wire can be used.  Why didn't the question just say: "two loops that ARE running in parallel"?
The wording actually seems to be pretty decent. Two loops cannot be running in parallel if there is a wire running between them. The situation you describe--where one loop stops, data is passed, then the other loop begins--does NOT describe two loops running in parallel, rather two loops running sequentially.
When the question says "intends", it asks you to play the part of the designer of the code: if you want to have data passed between two loops, how would you design that? The answer is certainly not a wire.
True, but the fact that we're even discussing the semantics proves that it's confusing.  I'm sure NI has a tough time coming up with multiple CLAD versions covering essentially the same questions but those questions should be testing for knowledge of LabVIEW, not English Language.  A test taker should be able to focus on the what a question is asking and not how it's being asked.

  • How to install Oracle Process Automation  for Mobile

    Hi
I want to install Oracle Process Automation components for Mobile.
I have downloaded the V20466-01.Zip file from Oracle Website, i dont find any setup file to intall OPA.
Please let me know how to install OPA( i already installed Oracle Process Modeling).
    Thanks.

There's no installation for OPA runtime components. For the OPA 10.1 .NET package (V20466-01) you need to decide which components you wish to deploy and then follow the corresponding section in the installation guide.
As we don't provide any Windows Mobile applications, the process would be to develop your own .NET Compact Framework application, referencing the mobile determinations engine and it's dependancies, and then deploy that application as you would normally deploy a Windows Mobile application.

  • Submitting xml data and thereby kicking off LiveCycle Process

I have a simple form where I collect the data and put it in a field which contains xml. I also have a process that should be started when I click a button on the form. Hence I have made the databinding for the process SOAP endpoint and have made the binding to the xml-text field in the form.
However something is wrong, because nothing happens when I click the button.
So how do I submit xml-data to a LiveCycle process to kick it off through the form.
    Sincerely
    Kim

    Dear Mr. Ram KM,
The business mentioned above by you was absolutely perpect.
Adobe LiveCycle® ES (Enterprise Suite) is an integrated server solution that blends data capture, information assurance, document output, process management, and content services.
I may guess you have to install ADOBE LIVECYCLE WORKBENCH ES. The Adobe liveCycle Designer ES comes with Workbench ES once you installed. Please go through the below information, you may get some idea.
    1. Significance of folders in Documentum Repository (for all regions)
WorkBench -> where all work in progress or finalized templates should reside. Designer must carry his/her development of Form/Template design in this folder.
Schema -> where the XML Schema (Using which data needs to bound to the template) should reside. This schema should be the same across the entire region (dev, UAT, Prod).
Templates -> This is the run time folder. CPR application points to this folder while searching for templates. Designer should never work on this folder or move/copy any template from WorkBench to this folder. This action will be taken care of by CPR application.
Master Fragment Library -> All the fragments should reside inside this folder. Once one fragment is changed in this folder then change will be reflected immediately to all the templates that use this fragments.
    NEW TEMPLATE DESIGN
    2. Design approach through workbench ES.
Designer selects UAT region through WorkBench ES to do the development of the Forms/Templates.
Designer opens up an existing form/letter or creates a new form/letter through designer in Workbench ES
He/She caries out the design (forms/letters) in Workbench folder.
He/She carries out the design of fragments in Master Fragment Library folder.
Once designer is satisfied with design he/she right clicks on the document and goes to the history popup.
Select the latest document in the list and click on Save as button in the popup screen to save it to the local hard disk or any file system.
Designer now goes to CPR Application and click on Add button.
    The Add popup opens up.
Designer clicks on Browse button and adds the letter/forms she had downloaded to his/her disk and adds corresponding Meta data. He/She then hits Done. At this point behind the scene CPR application puts the corresponding letter/Form into Templates folder with all the meta data set.
The UAT test on the newly uploaded templates then happens.
Once the UAT is successful then the corresponding templates need to be promoted to Production.
First Step: Promoting new Fragments to Production
Administrator directly logs into Production fragment library folder and creates the fragments again in production. This needs to be done very carefully as this fragments will be available immediately for end users (on click of Save in the designer).
Note: The downloaded fragments (from UAT region) can be moved to production directly using drag and drop feature of Workbench ES.
Second Step: Promoting new templates to Production
If UAT is successful Administrator then uploads the template file into production the way he/she did in UAT region. He/she needs to put appropriate meta data in production also.
    EXISTING TEMPLATE MODIFICATION
    3. Design approach through workbench ES.
Designer selects UAT region through WorkBench ES to do the change of the existing Forms/Templates.
Designer opens up an existing form/letter or creates a new form/letter through designer in Workbench ES
He/She caries out the design (forms/letters) in Workbench folder.
He/She carries out the design of fragments in Master Fragment Library folder.
Once designer is satisfied with design he/she right clicks on the document and goes to the history popup..
Select the latest document in the list and click on Save as button in the popup screen to save it to the local hard disk or any file system.
Designer now goes to CPR Application and finds the templates he/she wants to modify.
Designer highlights the corresponding row and hits on Modify.
    The Modify popup opens up.
Designer clicks on Browse button and adds the letter/forms she had downloaded to his/her disk and edits corresponding Meta data (if needed). He/She then hits Done. At this point behind the scene CPR application puts the corresponding letter/Form into Templates folder with all the meta data set. Also it inactivates the older version if any.
The UAT test on the newly uploaded templates then happens.
Once the UAT is successful then the corresponding templates need to be promoted to Production.
First Step: Promoting existing Fragments to Production
Administrator directly logs into Production fragment library folder and updates the fragments again in production. This needs to be done very carefully as this fragments will be available immediately for end users (on click of Save in the designer).
Note: The downloaded fragments (from UAT region) can be moved to production directly using drag and drop feature of Workbench ES.
Second Step: Promoting existing templates to Production
If UAT is successful Administrator then uploads the template file into production the way he/she did in UAT region. He/she needs to put appropriate meta data in production also.

  • Transaction and Process or sub-Process Automation

I am undertaking a market survey of business process and in particular transaction or sub process automation in the SAP landscape. I am particularly interested in talking to SAP users who are operationally focused or people who are involved in business analysis or operations sustainment roles. The format of the interviews is one-on-one phone or face to face conversations lasting 30 minutes to 1 hour and will be your opportunity to tell me about methods and tools that you use to automate transactions and sub processes, why you do this and perhaps some of the gaps you see in the tools available. Participants in the survey will have the benefit of receiving summaries of the findings of the surveys as well as other research discoveries.  If you are interested in participating then please contact me.

  • Is it possible to invoke external REST web service hosted in WebLogic web application from an Adobe LiveCycle Process (ES-4)

Is it possible to invoke an external REST web-service hosted in WebLogic web application from an Adobe LiveCycle Process (ES-4) with parameters as input and manipulating the response depending on the type of parameters it gets back. Then invoking an Adobe Form and prepopulating the Form based on the response parameters? Do you have sample projects that do this invocation. The part highlighted in red is what I need examples.

You can simply use "Execute Script" operation in Workbench and make use of java.net.URL. Below links should help :

  • Calling CMSA from a livecycle process

    Hi,
Could anyone please let me know if i can communicate with CMSA from livecycle process management in ES4 anyway?
I could not find any usefull stuff anywhere. So, please let me know if this can be achieved or let me know any alternate solution.
    Thanks.

    Thanks for the reply.
Now I have developed a custom component as you told in above reply. I am able to get the form in the process.
I am facing a issue in the rendered form. I have a form which contains two fragments and two text assets which are created in the CM. Issue is that, in the process when i render the form I am able to see only fragments and not text assets.
Could you please let me know the reason behind this?
    Many thanks!!

Hi. I am reinstalling Macbook Pro OS X from the "question mark icon". During process, there is a question "select the disk where to install Mac OS X" but there is no option/selection in the box. I really need your help guys. I need it badly. :'(

If you got the question mark and you do not see any partition to install OS X to, it is not good.
Close the OS X installer by pressing the red button at the top left corner of the Install OS X window, and open Disk Utility. Then, look at the left sidebar and tell me if you see your hard drive. You should see something like this:
Do not worry if you do not see Macintosh HD or if the option with an arrow shows a different name. This is normal.
If you see it, choose it, go to the Erase tab and erase the drive. Finally, close Disk Utility and reinstall OS X. You will lose everything if you do not have a backup.
If you do not see the drive, it is damaged and it has to be replaced. You can replace the hard drive of a MacBook Pro without voiding the warranty, and any 2'5" SATA hard drive is valid. If you are not an experienced user or you do not want to go inside the MacBook, take it to an Apple Store or reseller.

  • Process Automation and Recipe Creation Advice Needed

    Hi all,
I'm new user of LabVIEW working on a process automation project.
The process involves a syringe pump, two temperature controllers, and an 8 channel Mass Flow Controller (with 6 process gases and a Mass Flow Meter attached).  All of these devices are connected via RS-232 -->USB and need to be controlled by LabVIEW.
I've created a VI that allows for manual control over these devices from a single screen, but am not sure how to proceed from here to an automation scheme.  I'd like for the user to be able to create and run recipes (with the option of loading previous recipes or saving current ones).
My current idea for each step in the recipe goes a little like this:
    1) User selects device to be altered in the current step
    2) User selects desired parameter change (temperature setpoint, flow rate, etc)
    3) User selects condition on which step occurs (time delay, temperature reaches a specific value, etc)
    4) User adds step to recipe sequence
I've read several other posts here about recipe creation using string tables, but have yet to see a working version's block diagram.
I'm not sure how I should control each device (subVIs, states, whatever), or how to use a table to set a sequence of events in motion.
    Please help!
    Thank you.
    -Shawn

    Hey Shawn,
I'd definitely recommend a state machine for this behavior.  Here is an example that might help you get up and running.  The file is missing the typedef for the steps, but you should be able to use this as one idea for how you could base this.  Essentially you could have the File IO aspect be a list of 'steps' that are saved (in array form) by your user.  If there are specific parameters that go along with them, you could figure out how to include this information in the file as well.  This method is pretty slick, and is nice an expandable.  The only tricky part would be to handle the additional data changes for the temperature setpoint and flow rate, etc).  You could possibly do this with a 2D array and have the first dimension be the step, and the second dimension be the values, etc.  Just an idea.

  • Invoking a LiveCycle process with multiple input variables using REST

    Hi all,
    A simple scenario brushup:
I have an LC process that takes as input 2 parameters:
    - formID
    - formXML
The user starts out with an empty interactive form and fills out some info in this form. In the end he/she clicks submit and now I want to invoke my process to create a flattened form from the XML just entered in the interactive form.
The process returns a flattened form with the data merged with the XDP template referenced in formID. Simple as that.
What I basically need is to do something similar to the following in a LiveCycle Designer Form:
    ------------------------------------Snippet from http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/10.0/ProgramLC/WS624e3cba99b79e12e69a9941333732bac8- 7fe5.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------
    <html>
    <body>
    <form name="input" action="http://localhost:9080/rest/services/RestTest3" method="post"
             enctype="multipart/form-data">
    Doc: <input type="file" name="inDoc">
    String 1: <input type="text" name="inListOfStrings" value="hello">
    String 2: <input type="text" name="inListOfStrings" value="privet">
    <input type="submit" value="Submit"/>
    </form>
    </body>
    </html>
    ------------------------------------End snippet from http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/10.0/ProgramLC/WS624e3cba99b79e12e69a9941333732bac8- 7fe5.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------
Now my question to you is (hope you can help out here):
How do I invoke this process from my form using the REST endpoint - I need to specify 2 input variables for my process. One string (formID) and some xml (formXML). How is this done in Designer?
    Thanks in advance
