LiveDrvPack.exe (SBLW-XPWEB-W3-

Hello:
I've recently updated my computer's OS to Win 2000 Professional and need to update a variety of drivers for hardware and update software.
I think that I need to add which was apparently on the Creative Labs site at one point (July of 2002?)--but I can find it no longer. There is a patch for this file, but I need the original before I can patch it.
Any way that I can get this file?
Thanks.

Use this CD.

• SBLW-XPWEB-W3-US download WHERE?????

Hello,
wtf where can i download the old driver? Seems that some developers and webadmins haven?t made their homeworks. Only "You must have the previous Li'veDrvPack.exe (SBLW-XPWEB-W3-US), posted July 7,2002. in your system if you wish to use this patch." ROLF, how? No file found the search engine returns, a bad joke? I?ve installed my drivers from the CD, downloaded the new driver and nothing. i think next snd card won?t be a Creativ, sorry guys, this amatuer like.

I used the Li've Uni-Pack stuff from both the full last SBLi've 5. that had the full version of it including all the software and also the ones from the downloads. They worked for me at the time. The cd also installed the stuff on 98SE but the download is designed just for XP.
I don't recall it interfering with other software. Since you are having problems I understand the frustration though. It's possible that some of the stuff installed with this old Creative software/driver package may interfere with some of todays newer files that are used by XP SP2 and newer software. I don't know since it's been so long that I've had the SBLi've acti've.
That driver patch isn't needed unless you had already installed the older version of the driver/software package and just want to update it. With nothing installed or just the Microsoft driver installed you should just need to install the full Uni-Pack package. You don't need to remove the Microsoft driver first since the Uni-Pack is signed and is a newer version than the Microsoft driver. So Windows allows the files to be updated without a hitch, in my experience. You just don't want any Creative stuff on there, the Microsoft driver is okay. If Creative stuff is installed then removing it then using drivercleaner.net's DriverCleaner is a good way to start fresh. The Microsoft stuff will likely install once all the Creative stuff is removed, then you reboot so it works properly, and then you run the Uni-Pack installer. That works for most folks. Some still have a problem with the Creative Setup no longer recognizing the card so it fails to run. That's when you need to extract the thing and use CTZAPP.EXE in the driver folder to let it install just the driver. Then after restarting twice you can run setup again and this time the rest of the package gets installed (you can uncheck Windows Drivers doing a custom setup as CTZAPP already installed those).
Good Luck!
P.S. You won't get any of the other software outside of the Uni-Pack package to install as they are updates only. Just the PlayCenter one works, and the update for that. So if you don't get the cd iso of this stuff you'll have to do without Wavecenter, Creative Recorder, and Remote Center (which is only applicable if you have a Li've Dri've, and the previous full version installed).Message Edited by Eck on 05-05-20070:32 AM

• SBLW-XPWEB-W3-US how can i get

I recently exchanged my computer and removed all the upgrades i had on the older one and installed it on this one. i installed my li've 5. sound and game port card but i can't use it. windows does recognized it but when i install the file you so loidly acclaim as being the same as SBLW-XPWEB-W3-US it gives me a message stating that the card is not installed, which of course i allready know since its exactly what i'm trying to do. if you have a way of just installing the file i need no extra files so i can download this and then do upgrades and all other necessary downloads. this is getting old real fast. i've read thru a bunch of forums and nobody gives a stright answer.
thanks for your help.

You mean the problem is you can not install via the file SBLW-XPWEB-W3-US? Or you want that file? And who is "you" from the sentence "when I install the file you so loidly acclaim as being the same as SBLW-XPWEB-W3-US [...]? And what is the same as the mentioned "SBLW-XPWEB-W3-US"? Could you be more specific?
If you need the newest and latest driver for the soundblaster li've 5. you can get it here: Soundblaster Li've 5. Windows XP drivers & applications
There are two types of drivers for the mentioned soundcard:
. ? Li'veDrvUni-Pack(ENG).exe, it's the driverpack (XP driver and applications) for the Soundblaster Li've series (including the 5. versions) for working under Windows XP - you won't need the mentioned older SBLW-XPWEB-W3-US;
2.
[color="#3300ff" size="2">Li'veDrvPack_Patch.exe, this is the patch (update) for updating PC systems that already has the older SBLW-XPWEB-W3-US installed.
Good luck!?

• SBLW-XPWEB-W3-US downl

I just want to say, that Creative should at least reconsider chnages into the drivers download section.
First at all, it bothering to install driver and then patch over it - what about patch the drivers before install, so user can DL the latest drivers ALREADY patched (EAX4, for example) and that it is?
Well, Creative seems to like do things the bad way, tm.
Anyway, into the thread " WHERE??" was mentioned the problem, everyone trying to DL SoundBlaster Li've 5. drivers enconter - is impossible to find the SBLW-XPWEB-WEB-W3-US file, unless someone do SEARCH for the "Li'veDrvUni"
Now this is trully HORRIFIC method to get a driver and this VERY VERY important (and also very big) file should be LISTED into the drivers filelist for SB 5. downloads, when one looking for them, and not being hidden somewhere, only god know where...
Just to say that this IS pretty crazy and should be fixed into the downloads section.
I was only managed to find the file I need, because I used Google to find the SBLW-XPWEB-W3-US file and second of Google results point to this thread, where Jeremy-CL explained (and locked the thread :smileysurprised that one has to seach for the "Li'veDrvUni" to get to the desperately need file.
Now this is the most hard "get driver" thing I heard about in past ten years at least.
Creative - thumbs up for making reasonably good soundcards and thumb down for the www site download section and especially THIS nasty and still NOT FIXED problem....

• Please help find driver, at the end of my rope with this ca

I purchased a used soundcard from a computer repair shop near here a few months back. The sound card did not come with an installation CD. So i was pretty much left on my own to find drivers for it. Ive got a good many years experience building pcs so i figured this wouldnt be a problem. How WRONG i was lol. After being unable to find drivers for it originally I finally gave up and put the card in a static protection bag i had laying around and havent thought about it much since then just counted it as a loss. Now im back at it trying again to find drivers to get this card to work.
The following is every bit of information i feel applicable to this sittuation, however if anymore infos needed please let me know and ill try to provide it.
My operating system= windows XP with SP2
The following is off the card itself. (which says its a creative sound blaster Li've!)
Theres an inkstamp on the uppper left hand corner of the non chipset side that reads
32AMN08B 853
94v-0 k
(backwards RJ looking symbol)e9697 3999
Serial number= m48309402990
Model number= CT4830
Steps i've taken so far are i originally went to the creative search function and looked for the drivers on their site it gave me a link to two files which i downloaded.
This is the link where i downloaded the following files
http://us.creative.com/support/downloads/download.asp?MainCategory=&nRegionFK=&nCountryFK=& nLanguageFK=&sOSName=Windows+XP&region=&Product_Na me=Li've%2&Product_ID=4857&modelnumber=&driverlang =033&OS=0&drivertype=0&x=26&y=
And this of course is the two files i got.
. Li'veDrvPack_Patch.exe
2. Li'veDrvUni-Pack(ENG).exe
File number one has a warning as follows:
(This is an update patch, it is not a complete driver installation. You must have the previous Li'veDrvPack.exe (SBLW-XPWEB-W3-US), posted July 7,2002. in your system if you wish to use this patch.)
Ive searched the site i cant find this file (SBLW-XPWEB-W3-US) after searching through the forums a bit i found this thread http://forums.creative.com/creativelabs/board/message?board.id=soundblaster&message.id=25677&vie w=by_date_ascending&page=
Which had lists of ISOs for all the different installation CDs. I downloaded everything i seen on filefront (http://hosted.filefront.com/BadBoyforum) badboy had posted that had LIVE in the name. These include the following ISOs.
. SB Audigy & Li've!.iso
2. SB Li've! 5. (SB0228).iso
3. SB Li've! 5. (SB0229).iso
4. SB Li've! 24bit.iso
I mounted each image in daemon tools and attempted to install and recieved the following error
ERROR= Setup could not detect any sound blaster audio card on your system. Please ensure that your sound blaster hardware is properly installed before running this setup program. Setup will now exit.
Im kindve at a loss as how to proceed. Ive tryed looking through driverguide.com and a few other generic driver sites without much luck. If anybody at all has any suggestions on this id be very appreciati've. Like i said its a used card so it could be an OEM but it appears to be an ODM but who knows im by no means an expert on all this. I may have missed one of the LIVE isos off that filefront site but i dont think so. The only one i see thats left is the external one and its an internal card so i dont see how that could be right.

shadowcage wrote:
okay well i tryed the patching method on all of the isos i had after extracting them.
I patched it and it said it was successful. when i ran each successi've setup it still didnt detect any soundblaster hardware.
I also went to compaq and tryed a driver i found there without any luck. Im thinking at this point it is an OEM
Although i still dont understand how you got compaq from the model number, im going to continue looking around their site.
Maybe ill luck out but so far im about to the point im ready to throw this @#$%@%#@$@##@$#@$% thing away lol.
Im looking on driver guide now again. :Sighs This is so aggrivating Normally i wouldnt have bought a card without the drivers but
my wifes the one that got it and she didnt know. Oh well......
You can get the model information from here.
You can also try by installing kX drivers -> if kX package don't get installed, your card may have some problems.

• Filename: LiveDrvPack_Patch.

Hello,
My name is Jonathan, I cannot play Half Life 2's Counter-Strike Source in 5. Surround sound mode. However, it does work in 2 speaker mode.
Here is a relavent document to my exact problem:
5. Sound Problems in Half-Life 2
Question
5. Sound Problems in Half-Life 2
Answer
A number of players have reported that they are unable to get sound output while playing HL2 if they select 5. speaker mode (and sometimes not in 4 speaker mode either).
They might get sound only out of the center channel.
Stereo (2-speaker) mode does work in all of these cases though.
(not working = no sound or sound only comes out of the center channel typically if 5. mode is selected).
Basic Functionality which should work:
Plug your 5,6,7,8 speakers directly into the card (analog only) and you should get surround with HL2.
Plug the digital output of your soundcard into your dolby digital receiver and you will only get stereo (dolby digital is not supported right now except with Soundstorm chips that have their own encoder).
So for example:
AC97 works with 5. Surround works.
AC97 with digital feed to Dolby Digital Recei'ver does NOT work.
SoundStorm with feed to Dolby Digital Recei'ver does work
Basically the difference here is using the 5. (analog) surround that is nati've to your sound card VS using a dolby digital receiver (which isn't part of your soundcard). This would be a "home theater" Digital Surround setup.
And their relavent driver help for Creative Cards:
Creative 5. and Audigy problems
You need to make sure you get the latest drivers for your soundcard.
http://www.creative.com
NOTE: There is at least one OEM SB Li've! 5. that does not actually support 5. and Creative will not update the drivers for that card.
NOTE: the Creative online autoupdate may not actually update your card properly (it might just say everything is up to date when it is not) so be sure to download the drivers and install them.
Last Things
Old or Malfunctioning Drivers
If you have the wrong drivers for your soundchip or card and you select 4 or 5. sound (partly working or working poorly) you may make audio stuttering in HL2 worse.
There Can Be Only One
If you have an on-board soundchip and you upgraded to a new PCI board and you did not uninstall the old chip drivers and disable the on-board sound in the BIOS you will make audio stuttering in HL2 MUCH worse! Only run one sound device at a time. (USB headphone devices seem to be ok, but try uninstalling them if you have stuttering to make sure).
If you do have two soundcards installed, typically you must uninstall both completely, remove one or disable one, then reboot and install the drivers for the remaining card/chip.
I have tried once before, and it is just luck that my computer is working OK-ish with its current XP installed drivers.
I have decided to update my drivers, as instructed by Valve, to solve my problem.
I found the driver "Li'veDrvPack_Patch" and downloaded it, but I need the following driver which I ...DO NOT... have.
THAT IS:
Sound Blaster Li've! - Driver Patch
This is an update patch, it is not a complete driver installation. You must have the previous Li'veDrvPack.exe (SBLW-XPWEB-W3-US), posted July 7,2002. in your system if you wish to use this patch.
^ The above, as said by Creative... I have tried both a driver search for "SBLW-XPWEB-W3-US" and "Li'veDrvPack.exe" and I KNOW there were no results. CREATIVE ARE MISSING THIS FILE.
So where is it, I ask?
I calmy request that you update your driver list... and help a lot of people out.

Jonathan

• Live!Surround speaker setting not showing in surround mixer for SB Live Platinum

the Li've!Surround option for speaker settings in not showing in my Surround Mixer
i have:
Windows 2000 sp4
SB Li've! Platinum 5.
ASUS CUSL2
Sound Blaster Li've! - Li'veDrvUni-Pack (English) SBLW-XPWEB-W4-US 28-Feb-03
Installed the speaker preset for li've!surround but the only headphone, 2 speaker, 4 speaker, and 5. speaker shows up on speaker configuration of the Surround Mixer
i've played the AC3 files on the cdrom and Dolby pro logic surround, I get sound from all fi've speakers on my Denon D-850 w/ Dolby surround pro-logic
I can't use the surround mixer to test all the speakers, only front left and right speakers work on the test, i have to open to wav files directly to test the center speaker, the rear speaker test doesn't work from the wav file
My Denon system only has analog stereo inputs, so this is my only option for letting Sound Blaster know I have 5 speakers.
I've uninstalled all SB Li've software and drivers from the unipack, and reinstalled the orignal drivers and apps from the CD-ROM SBP5-CDSD-W-US MID : 32680 5-Sep-2000 and the Li've!Surround speaker setting reappears in the Surround Mixer.
Is the Li've!Surround setting no longer available in the new Surround Mixer in Li'veDrvUni-Pack (English) SBLW-XPWEB-W4-US 28-Feb-03 ?

so I found this post...
http://groups-beta.google.com/group/...7?dmode=source
it seems Li've Surround is no longer supported in the new drivers
....so what would be the best setting to play ac3 files or DVD's through my receiver with only 2 analog inputs (left and right) available w/ Dolby surround prologic. Should I set it to 2 speaker or 4 speaker setting in the Surround Mixer in order to send the best signal to the prologic decoder on my receiver with 5 speakers (2 front, center, 2 rear)

I got a unit back from Linksys that went in for repair/replacement.  The v3 unit that I got back is running "3.04.01 June 08 2006" firmware.  Upon seeing that I decided I should probably upgrade the firmware on all my other v3 units to this latest and greatest, but cannot find where that version of firmware comes from.
The version on the web is v2.01.12.  Where can I find 3.x? (I suspect the web site is broken and someome from Linksys/Cisco needs to get it fixed)
Thanks!

• Problems with my SBLive! Platinum and

I've recently upgraded to Windows XP. I've done a format, and a clean install of XP, and keep having problems with my sound. The problem with the default Microsoft driver that XP installs is that all my games crash after a few minutes of playing. ALL of them crash. The problem with the latest Creative drivers is, sound doesn't play properly. It skips, pops, slows down, and causes my system to run very slowly. Device Manager doesn't show any IRQ conflicts, and DXDiag doesn't report any problems.
I don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

I have a reverse problem! The card worked fine wiyh the XP Pro drivers. I installed SBLW-XPWEB-W4-US. I now get an error message "ERROR! HRESULT error at InitialiseSound, QueryInterface(IA3d) 80004002" when the game starts to load. I'm running XP Pro and a Sound Blaster Li've! Patinum. Elsewhere on this board Jeremy said to upgrade the driver and install the rest of the programs. They won't install as there are no previous versions being that when I tried to use the CD that came with the card it said it was not compatable with this this version of Windows (XP Pro). I tried to run the diagnostic program in the Creative folder but it doesn't open. The diagnostics help is useless as it just says "run the diagnostic problem. This card and the same card on another computer worked fine on Win 98SE. WHAT GIVES!!!

I looked in the folder from which I want to synch photos, but there is no such thing as an "ipod photo cache" in that folder, or sub-folders, as suggested in the link which you were nice enough to provide.
I have also tried removing photos from my iPad2 Photos App, and "iTunes has stopped working" shows up  again as soon as I click on the "Synch photos from" button.
