Livetype background's coming out black
I saw a post a couple of years ago w/ same problem but there didn't seem to be a definitive answer... I created lower thirds and tried to import into fcp and the background is turning up black. I've tried unchecking the 'render background' in the project settings and in the save menu. I've tried messing with the 'modify alphas' in fcp and now i'm wondering if I should export as something other than a .mov. Don't know if its a glitch or if I have some settings wrong in either LT or FCP. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Man... I've been pulling my hair out. I failed to mention that I have been laying the .mov over video in v1 and still been getting black background. Your last bit on not needing to render or export in Livetype saved the day... I simply opened up the LT file and put it in fcp and rendered it there. Worked great.
Doesn't seem like rendering and exporting as a .mov should cause such a problem... I've seen others have this problem and not get accurate info. Thanks for your help.

Flash DVD... Motion menus are coming out black
I have previously used the flash output in Encore in CS3 and CS4. First time using it in CS5. I like to use video clips as menu backgrounds and have done it many times before. I link both the video and the audio to the menu in the motion properties window. In CS5, it appears that this function works for DVDs, but not for Flash. When I do the Flash export, the menus are just a black screen with the audio I linked to.
Hey, I figured out a fix. Turns out it wasn't the clip format. Turns out that you must have a button on a motion menu, AND, you gotta have the buttons image eyeball poked out. So in this case, what I'm doing is trying to create a web site using this Flash DVD option. It's a web site that works like a DVD in a Flash player. So that means it's a web site with a full-screen option and a volume control. It allows me to take my motion graphics skills and apply them to web design without needing to know anything about Flash. Check it out:

Fred347Sorry Forman, No one here will know this answer. What we do know is all previous iPod Touches were released in the fall of 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2012. Will Apple continue this trend... Who knows and anyone given you a fixed date is only guessing. Hope this helps. Cheers.

Scans coming out in black and white vertical lines
I have Mac OS X / v. 10.9.5 and an HP ENVY 4500 printer/scanner.I have had this set up for 6 months without a problem, but the first scan I tried to do after putting in new ink cartridges for printing are coming up like this: http://www.screencast.com/t/qkhaKNOd Help!
Hi , Thanks for providing the excellent screen shots. I see that you are having issues scanning, they are coming out black with vertical lines. I will certainly do my best to help you. I see by the screen shot that the AirPrint driver is selected for the default printer. Did you download and install the latest drivers? HP ENVY 4500 series Full Feature Software and Drivers. If the newest drivers are installed, delete the AirPrint driver and add the Envy 4500 drivers.Click the Apple menu and then click System Preferences. Click Printers & Scanners, highlight the printer name on the left side and delete it and add the printer name back in from the list. Click the - sign to delete the driver and then click the + sign to add the driver, you will need to to click the drop down, to select the printer's name to add it in. Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (don't use a power hub or a surge protector) This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation. Try scanning again. If you appreciate my efforts, please click the 'Thumbs up' button below. If there is anything else I can help you with, just let me know. Thank You.

I can't figure out why this is happening - I've remade this document from scratch twice and each time it did this. I made a new adjustment layer with an invert mask on it, and instead of the black coming out as white, it came out as this beige colour. I tried to fix it myself, but was unable - I adjusted the colour profile, changed the colour, as well as fooled around in the menus trying to figure it out. I've inserted a screenshott of my workspace, as it was when the problem happened. Any help would be appreciated!

We have black ink coming out of the right side of the feeder tray.
Our C7280 is copying OK but black ink is coming out on the bottom feeder tray. How can I take out the whole tray assembly to clean it and where would the ink be coming from?
I'm also having this problem even thought it worked perfectly well before
it's only been two months since i got it
i don't have any warranty though and i didn't buy it in the apple store
do you think the apple store might take it in and fix it?
if anyone has any suggestions can you please email me at [email protected] -
Background, Images, & text is blacked out. I can not see any menus to edit anything...
The curser shows there are links when you move over. I have uninstalled and re-installed Firefox and restarted my computer with no luck.
I can not see the menus to try and reset Firefox or change any settings.
HELP Pleasehello obrienn214, other users with this problem all had an embedded intel hd3000 graphics card with an old driver present. in case this also applies to you, here would be a link to update the driver, which in turn should also address the black firefox problem: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=23764 (for win7 64 bit)
in case this doesn't solve the issue or does not apply to your system, start firefox into safemode '''by pressing the shift key while the application is launching''' & disable hardware acceleration in the firefox ''menu ≡ > options > advanced > general'' (that setting will take a restart of the browser to take effect).

MY photosmart B 210 is not printing with the black ink at all. Pages are coming out blank
Print report says ink is low in the colours but they do appear on the sheet but no black ink at all
It is a relatively new cartridge and genuine HP ink. Stopped suddenly
Pages from print or copy are coming out blank.
Tried to clean print heads and it says
Print System Failure : Oxc19a0003
and tells me to switch printer off and back on which I have now tried but getting the same message!
What does this mean?Hi @BrendaMC,
Welcome to the HP Forums!
I noticed that your HP Photosmart B210 printer is not printing black ink, and that the pages are coming out blank. I am sorry to hear this, but happy to help!
I would suggest to go through the following guides:

Hope these guides are helpful, and have a good day!

Satellite A105-S4284 gets Blue Screen of Death when coming out of standby
MySatellite A105-S4284 runnings Windows XP gets a BSOD after coming out of standby or hibernation. With standby, I'll see the login screen where I enter my password, and then it may show the desktop background or even the open app (Outlook or Word, typically) for a second, afterwhich the BSOC appears. For weeks I was getting a black screen sporadically after standby. Researched the problem and saw recommendations to update BIOS. So I updated the BIOS to the latest version, and then I started getting blue screens of death rather than a black screen. Thought the problem was McAfee, because I'd get crashes right after McAfee became active in the background, sometimes without going into standby. Cancelled McAfee, took it off with the cleaner, used Avast instead, and that seemed to help. But then BSODs came back. I uninstalled non-essential software, clearned registry with CC Cleaner, freed up more HD space and defragged, ran SpyBot, etc - but I still get the BSOD almost every time I go into standby or hibernate.
The stop messages on the BSOD don't show a driver. and all begin with 0x0000007E (0x000000C5, ... and then differ after that. One recent one followed with 0x804E13D5, 0xAA6B9B8C, 0xAA6B9888). Does that mean anything?
I've installed Microsoft's debugging tools to look at the dumps after a BSOD. Here is output for two recent crashes. Doesn't point to a driver. NTKRMLMP.exe is what crashes - do I need to replace that from the I386 folder somehow? I did have my Matsu**bleep**a DVD-CD drive suddenly quit a time or two until the computer was restarted. Should I reinstall the DVD driver? Or the graphics driver? Worried that I might break something by doing that.

In a new account, the BSOD still occurs. I created a new account, logged out of my account, and went to the new one. Tried standby. It came out of standby for a second and then had the blue screen of death.
In checking the event manager, I seen errors shortly before crashes sometimes that involve the CD.
So I went to Toshiba.com and downloaded the DVD RAM driver and ran it, reinstalling the driver, and then restarted. I also saw that there was C-Dilla driver in my drivers. I uninstalled the SafeCast program that I think is associated with C-Dilla, moved the C-Dilla driver out of the drivers to a distant folder, unchecked C-Dilla in MSCONFIG so it won't load (it was still there after removing SafeCast), and then reinstarted. So with a new DVD Ram driver and neutering, I hope, of C-Dilla, I tried things again and the system appeared to be crash free - better than it had been. But then a crash occurred - BSOD - and upon restart, the CD locked up, and crashed again.
After restarting, there was a new dialog that popped up after Windows launched indicating that there had been an error with SONIC DLA. Before the crash, there was an event n the event viewer:
My last error comes from the Plug and Play Manager:
The device 'MAT**bleep**A DVD-RAM UJ-841S' (IDE\CdRomMAT**bleep**A_DVD-RAM_UJ-841S________________1.60____\5&226f6cf2&0&0.0.0) disappeared from the system without first being prepared for removal.
Hmmm. So things are still vulnerable. Any ideas? Buy new CD drive? Or new computer? -
Display issue coming out of sleep (w/ external display)
Hey everyone,
I've a MacBook Pro with Retina display. running 10.8.2 (and Win7 x64, via Bootcamp).
I somtimes experience trouble coming out of sleep with no external display connected, if the MacBook was connected to an external display when I sent it to sleep and the integrated display's brightness was turned all the way down. Basically, the MacBook's integrated display won't light up. I then need to hold down the power button until the machine powers off, and start it up again. Only then will the display come on, and the machine start normally.
I've been observing this with both an external Thunderbolt Display, and a TV connected through the HDMI port. I don't think this is a Mac OS issue, as I've seen similar behavior on this same machine, running Windows, under Bootcamp.
An example scenario: I'll be using the Thunderbolt Display, or watching a movie on my TV, with the integrated display's brightness turned all the way down, and then, while the display is still connected, I will close the lid - The machine will go to sleep. I will then come the next day, and while the computer is asleep, disconnect the external display, and open the lid. The MacBook's integrated display will not light up, the brightness keys will not respond, and I will need to force-shutdown the machine, and start it again - it will then start up, and usually fall back to the lowest display resolution setting (even though I always use much higher resolutions on both the integrated and external displays).
I'm guessing this is happening because the computer is expecting the external display that was connected to it, during its last operation, to still be available, and when it's not - it panics!
Also, I had times where this happened, and a force-shutdown would not do the trick. I had to actually connect back to the external display, wait for the machine to start normally, take the integrated display's brightness back up, and disconnect the external display. The machine would then resume normal operation, and I would be able to disconnect the external display and work on the integrated display.
Has anyone else experienced this, or anything similar? There we go. Here's the complete Console report, up until the reboot, which fixed things. I can't make anything out of this, but perhaps someone else can.

Display is all snow coming out of Sleep mode
Just replaced a 17" LCD (using the mini-DVI-to-VGA) with a new Acer 24" widescreen LCD (using mini-DVI-to-DVI). After a little fiddling with the profile, I've got a pretty nice picture. Problem: coming out of sleep mode, the screen is all snow. If I pop the monitor off and on, everything comes back normal. I did NOT have this problem with the older 17". This is more of an annoyance than a major issue, since just a couple of hits of the on-off button correct it. But it ain't right, so I'm hoping I can fix it for good. It happens whether the Mini goes to sleep by itself or if I put it to sleep. I don't know if it's a DVI issue, monitor issue, or something goofy with the Mini's video.
I did a search and found similar issues, but not exactly the same, and saw no suggested resolutions that fixed them. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks ...
EdThe 9400M device driver on our Macs appears to be really bad.
My buddy tried to put a Sharp LCD projector on the external port on his Mac laptop, which also had a Nvidia 9400M, and it was not usable. The picture kept coming and going. The projector screen would go blank, then a picture would come up, go blank, and then the picture would come back again, over and over. Being an experienced Mac, PC, and Linux user, I attempted to help him get it working using the display properties page in the System Preferences. Nothing helped.
I'm having similar troubles with the second port on my 9400M on my new Mac mini.
The primary display is fine. I have a 24" Acer LCD on the miniport to DVI converter for my second display, and it works most of the time, however the picture goes to snow fairly often, and blacks out sometimes, too. It usually comes back. Occasionally, I have to power cycle the LCD to get the picture back.
Seeing similar problems with two different DVI display devices, when these devices work fine on our PCs, seems to point the problem at the Mac Nvidia display driver. -
I am converting a .docx file to a pdf and the text is coming out blurry
I am trying to convert a .docx file to a pdf and the text keeps coming out blurry. Some sentences seem to be bolded in the pdf as well. All the colored text seems like there's a shadow behind it and all the text in bold seems extra blurry. I am saving the file as a pdf. I tried to print the file as a pdf but it kept crashing. I have adobe acrobat pro and distiller, but I'm not savy about which program does what.
Thanks for any help!If you are trying to convert a Word file, ensure the text is in 100% black only.
To create PDF's there are hundreds of different combinations that can be used, but only a few will give you a good 'print ready' file, which is what I think you may be after.
You may have font issues that are stopping the text looking sharp.
If you have Distiller, you can try to print as .ps (save as postscript), load distiller up and choose one of the high quality settings in the pop down menu.
If you are working on a Mac you can drag and drop the .ps file direcetly on the dock icon for distiller, or if you are running Windows you will need to navigate to the file via the menu bar (you will need to know where you have saved your .ps file).
There may be other issues with the original file format that is causing problems with your PDF creation.
Let me know how you get on.
Cheers
