Living in froreign country, need to restore, cant find my sim
i am using an iphone 5 and i need to restore it. and from experiance i know that once i restore my iphone, i will need to re-unlock it. i was going to do that... until i found out that my sim has been misplaced. where i live, at&t wont work so i am currently making calls with a local sim. is it possible for me to bypass the unlock and start using my phone without JailBreak or help of any third party software?
That means you have a locked device to AT&T, in this case yes. But how your using then a local sim?
PS: You can always conntact AT&T to unlock your device, it is possible you need to pay some amount for it.

Had to do a restore/ cant find my music
I purchased a couple songs and audio books and had to do a restore point to computer and now I dont know where my purchased items are or to even login to the site, to bring up my music and i have not even moved it to my ipod cus I need help with that also cant figure that out either.
You can try to undo the restore point. Check for your files and in case they are back again, make a backup. After that you can redo the restore point.

Basically, phone suddenly said there was no SIM card, despite being able to recieve texts moments earlier. There were no bumps or anything out of the ordinary between these. Tried the recommened tips but no success, also tried restoring my Iphone but now it cant be activated as it cant find the SIM, tried my brothers SIM with no success but my SIM worked in his phone. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Remove and re-insert the SIM.
Clean the contacts on the SIM with an eraser.
If it is still not working, take the device to Apple for evaluation and possible replacement. -

hey guys i need your help! my ipad 3 has gone blank. i have been able to restart it by pressing down on both keys but now it wont work. the screen illuminates and i still get notifications but its just a black screen. i tried to restore it on itunes but it tells me to turn off find my phone app. well i cant do thay because i cant access my ipad. i am so frustrated! my ipad is only 1.5 years old so its still fairly new. can anyone tell me how to delete the app on my laptop? i have tried but no success yet. when i go into my icloud account i cant find anywhere that says to turn off or delete find my phone. any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks.
Go to http://www.icloud.com in your computer's internet browser. Sign in, go to Find My iPhone, locate your device there.

Try restarting your router by removing power to it for 30 seconds. This may correct the problem.

so i cant download itunes cuz of some patenting control on the computer and i needed to restore it . so went on icloud (find my phone,ipod etc) and restored it and my ipod is not turning on but ist is still buffering from the past 10 mins

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My ipod was being updated, computer went on standby - now itunes says i need to restore it?! But i CANT loose my notes, what do i do?! Once the Device is asking to be Restored with iTunes... it is too late to save anything...
To minimise loss... Connect to iTunes on the computer you Usually Sync with and Restore from the most recent Backup...

I forgot my passcode. and i need to restore my iphone 4 in order to reset the passcode. But I haven't backed up to icloud recently and REALLY cant lose my 1000 photos, contacts, ect. How to i backup before having to reset every thing?
You can't. If there was a way to get into the phone and backup data without a passcode, what would be the purpose of the passcode?

Iphone need to restore almost every day

I have an IPHONE 3GS which I purchased in Italy (open for all the networks).
About a week ago in the middle of the day the iphone suddenly had “no service” sign and I couldn’t get any calls. I tried to restart but it showed the screen “iphone need to restore” – I was than in version 3.1.2 .
Since then I tried to restored it for many times and upgrade to 4.1 firmware. Most of the times I get the restore error 1013. But a few times the restore succeeded and the iphone worked for half a day until it showed the “no service” sign again and I couldn’t use it.
Can anyone please advise me what to do? There is no apple service in my country.

On my iphone the IMEI sometimes is unknown and sometimes is 011983006774560 (not the default).
Now i cant even restore it because the i-tune display that there is no SIM card although there is.
What can it be?
