LJ2605dn and Printing Envelopes

I can't seem to figure this out and its starting to drive me crazy.  When I print envelopes from Word, I feed the envelope into the Tray1 slot and the printer pulls the envelope through the printer and acts like its printing but the thing comes out blank.  The status screen blinks with a message to then load the envelope in the slot and hit the green check button.  I do this and then the printer proceeds to print the envelope.  I have tried changing the settings around in Word, but can't seem to find anything that makes a difference.  Would appreciate anyones assistance.

hi, and thanks for the reply. Yes, when I got to print I've expanded the print dialog box and can see all the options. Your suggestion sent me back to the address book to experiment a little, and I found that the solution was to make sure the recipient is NOT set up as a company (in other words, make sure you DON'T tick the "company" box when you create the entry) You put the person's name in, followed by their company and address and so on. And THEN when you go to print, you tick the "Print: Company" box. And there it is. Problem solved! THANK YOU VERY MUCH

  • C309 and printing envelopes paper mismatch error

    New C309 and I can not print legal envelopes.  I get a paper mismatch error and press OK to cancel print job.  I have inserted the envelopes as directed on the paper tray with no results.

    I think I have found the solution to this problem - I stumbled on it myself – The problem is that I have my standard printer settings set to utilize the duplex printing feature (printing on both sides of the paper).  When printing an envelope, the printer does NOT like that.  By simple changing the Properties for this specific job for “Print on both sides to save paper:” to “Off” I can now print envelopes again as I use to on my old computer.  I have no idea what caused the problem but it is now solved for me.
    My configuration is currently as follows:
    Dell inspiron 14z
    Windows 7, 64bit
    MS Word 2007

  • Any easy way to print envelopes from photo tray?

    I have a new C309 printer that works well printing from three different PCs.  What I want to do is load the photo tray with a few #10 envelopes so that I can print one without having to change out paper in the main tray.
    The problem is, by the time I make the changes to Properties to print from the photo tray, I might as well have swapped things in the main tray.  (I have to declare that I'm printing postcards or it won't let me specify the photo tray).
    Does anyone have a suggestion for how to multiplex between printing letters and printing envelopes?

    Address Book itself has the ability to print out labels - I'm not sure whether you have OS X 10.4 or 10.5, but there are more options in 10.5. From Address Book, select your desired addresses (or make a group of them and select that) and go to File - Print. You'll see the label options there.

    Thanks so much Martin.  It took me awhile to figure out that in the print mode, there is an arrow that expands the print dialog box.  I've been looking for the print dialog box for awhile, and now that I found it, I could make my list. Thank you SO much!! I can show my computer savvy husband that I learned something new today!!!  I'm SO happy!!!

  • Clicking on "Envelopes" only brings up "Envelope Options", and not the dialog box to print envelopes, but only on certain documents.

    I'm using Word 2010, and up until a few weeks ago have never had trouble printing envelopes. Then one day I clicked on Envelopes to print one, and it only
    brought up Envelope Options instead of the dialog box to print envelopes. Eventually the problem went away and it worked again. Then it happened again last week. I closed down everything Office-related and started back up, and it worked again. Now it's happened
    again today, and even after shutting all Office products down, it still won't let me print envelopes. I have two printers and it happens no matter which one I choose. The strange thing is it apparently only happens on certain documents, because I can open
    up another letter, hit "Envelopes" and paste in the address from the letter that won't print, and it will work fine. What is wrong with these certain documents that makes Word unable to bring up the print dialog? I can't find anything online relating
    to this issue. Any ideas?

    1. If you empty the whole document then click the Evelopes buttong, what will happen?
    2. Check if there are any special macros in these specific documents
    3. Try remove both of these printers, and check this issue again.
    4. Will this behavior also happen when open these documents from the other computer?
    You can also share a copy of the document in SkyDrive so I can check on it. (Remove any sensitive information)

    How can I address and print an envelop from a letter created in Pages 09?

    You can copy & paste the address from the letter into a document formatted to envelope size. I prefer to use the EasyEnvelopes widget. If you have copied an address to the clipboard, it will automatically be added to the widget.

  • How to print envelopes

    I am trying to print on 7.25x5.25 envelopes. I have the envelopes loaded correctly into the tray. The correct envelope size is selected in Word. The printer gives me an error saying the paper is the wrong size. I double-check the size. I double-check that the envelopes are loaded correctly. Everything is correct. I still get an error.
    On a whim, I turned the envelopes in the tray so they were wide instead of long in the tray. Changed the orientation. They were definitely loaded incorrectly. I tried again. The printer pulled an envelope in and printed on it. Except that the orientation of the print was the wrong orientation. It was for the orientation if the envelopes had been loaded correctly. I turned the envelopes again, back to the correct orientation. Tried again. Got another error. The paper is the wrong size.
    No, they're not the wrong size. I load the thing correctly, and the printer tells me the paper is the wrong size. I load them  incorrectly and the printer will accept them, but then prints on them sideways.
    Excruciatingly frustrating!
    p.s. I have seen other similar questions but could NOT figure out how to post a reply. I can see that posts have been made by other members, not just HP employees. There is no notice saying that the post is closed.
    I am not in the mood for this. I can't print my envelopes. I'm trying to print the envelopes because the labels I have won't print properly. I can't find appropriate settings for the labels, or alternate settings for this size of envelope. As near as I can tell, all the information and settings are correct.
    I need an answer now. And I can't figure out how to post a reply on the boards.
    Would very much appreciate a reply.

  • How to print envelopes on the HP OfificeJet Pro 8600,

    Hi there folks;
    Recently I ran into several folks asking on how to print envelopes in the same printer The HP Officejet 8600
    Do to this I decided to provide both the instructions in this document as well as the links of the article where I refer to for the information. This way folks that want to have it quick and to the point can accomplish this by reading and following this article and any folk that want to dig deeper perhaps the article will provide more in depth information
    This is how to load the envelopes;
    I will provide the link of the Article where this information have been gathered from;
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02890475&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=4323648&tmp...
    Here the steps for loading the envelopes on the Officejet pro 8600.
    Grasp the handle on the front of the input tray, and then pull the tray towards you to open it.
    Figure 12: Pull out the input tray
    Slide the paper width guides out as far as possible.
    NOTE:If you are loading larger-sized paper, pull out the tray extension to lengthen the tray.
    Figure 13: Input tray extension
    Insert the envelopes into the center of the tray with the envelope flap on the left and facing up. If the flap is on the short end of the envelope, insert the envelope into the center of the tray with the flap toward the product and facing up.
    Figure 14: Load envelopes
    Slide the paper width guides in to rest against the edges of the envelope. Make sure that the envelope is centered in the tray.
    Push the tray into the product until it clicks into place.
    Figure 15: Push in the input tray
    Pull out the tray extender on the output tray.
    Figure 16: Pull out the tray extender
    This is the explanation on how to load envelopes into the 8600. Hope is helpful
    Now let’s make sure that the envelopes use are supported by the printer,
    This article will also provide you with envelopes support by this printers;

    Is an important to properly load the envelopes as to use only envelopes supported by the printer.

    On my OJ Pro 8600, When I go to print a # 10 envelope, it feeds the envelope through and then prints the address on a letter page.  I was forced to set the printer preferences to #10 envelope, and within Word, set the paper type to # 10 envelope, set Word up for center feed, and then put everything back to print normally.  ON my 6500 all I had to do was hit print.  There must be a way to print single envelopes without jumping through all these hoops!!

  • How to Print Envelopes - HP LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP

    I can't work out how to print envelopes on my HP LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP.
    I put the envelope upright (flap down) in the adjustable tray at the very top of the machine (as I have done in almost every printer I've used) and it prints the address on a sheet of paper!

    Hi goodgrandma ,
    I see by your post that you would also like to know how to print envelopes.
    I will be happy to help you.
    Both the Laserjet m251 and M276 have a main tray only.
    Above the tray is the jam access door to remove paper jams.
    To print on the envelopes, you would need to remove all the paper from the main tray and load the envelopes in the main (bottom) tray, to print to envelopes with these two units.
    If you are using Word Application, click on Tools, select Letters and Mailing/Envelopes and labels, the envelope box will open, in the envelope tab enter your address, click on Options, click the Printing Options tab, you will need to change the Feed from to Auto, it is likely set to Manual.
    What is the full name and product
    number of your printer? How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
    Hope this helps.
