The BB playbook is beyond poor performance in my honest opinion. Save yourself the aggravation and go buy an ipad. There's a reason that they are more expensive, they work!
I keep getting system hangs, keyboard malfunctions, crashes, App world stopped working, problems with volume controls and screen positioning and sensitivity problem.
What a joke you guys are. I've been as patient as I can ever be with this thing. All I want to do is smash this piece of s**t .
I really don't know how blackberry stays in buisiness. Actually now I know why, you guys sell your lies and promises on false information and deadlines on software and operating system upgrades to us consumers, and never come through.
Complete and total failure!

I also have a playbook and haven't had any issues and I'm trying to throw everything at it. Apps, videos, files, web browsing, bluetooth, bridge, etc and its working great. With your device, have you contacted technical support?

ITunes 10.3 takes a while to sync my iPhone

Hey everybody, I'm a Windows XP, iPhone 4 CDMA user. Over the past couple of days my iPhone has been giving me problems after I restored it. I was on the latest version of iTunes 10.2 and I got the 10.3 update, and then as soon as I downloaded it, my phone wasn't being seen by iTunes. I put it into DFU mode to try to restore it, it would then show up in my iTunes and then as it was "preparing to restore iPhone", it would say "it can't be found". I ended up trying a few more times with no luck, then I went onto another computer and it restored succesfully. However, now that I'm on 10.3, my iTunes takes FOREVER to transfer music. I also tried to transfer a copy of LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem" and that took about 2-3 minutes to sync over, however when I transfered the video for the same song, it took about a minute or so, regardless of the 60+ mb size difference. The former is also true syncing apps that have less than 20 mbs of data in them. I then tried to transfer music from my sister's library to my iPhone, and that only took 5-10 secs that it would normally take. I thought maybe it might be iTunes. I went back on my computer and it still took that extra time with it.
For comparison, the other day I also sync'd my iPod Classic with my iTunes library, and for having about 77 gb worth of data on an external hard drive, that only took a few hours.
Right now, I'm uninstalling every Apple component I can from my computer. I'll install 10.3.1 and see if I have better luck. I'd like to see if I can find an installer of iTunes 10.2 and see if it's either my phone or iTunes in general. I know that's never prefered, but my options are kinda limited at this point.
I know a couple Apple people aren't exactly going to like that, but honestly, never release a beta without keeping the stable RC too.

Syncing shouldn't trouch you photos unless you have photos in a Photo Library album. These would be photos that were synced to your phone from your computer. If you do have any, you'll need to use an app like PhotoSync to transfer them to your computer prior to syncing.
If you prefer to backup your camera roll photos prior to syncing, open iTunes and go to Preferences>Devices and check "Prevent...from syncing automatically". Then connect your phone to your computer and import them as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.
Then, to minimize data loss, follow the steps in this user tip: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141. To follow the steps, first open iTunes and go to View>Show Sidebar. Also, Transfer Purchases is now located in File>Devices.

Upgrade g4 to run 10.5 or 6?

I understand it's possible to upgrade a G4 to run effectively on OS 10.5 or even 6? What exactly is involved or do you need to know the exact spec of my machine? It's for my son to use for school work but clearly, a teenager will be using itunes and the likes of movie files and also likes Garage Band so fairly hefty power required.
I'm asking if poss as I have 2 G4's in the attic, and if a little spend will give them (have another son who'll be close behind!) a good working machine for less than a new one then I'll consider it.

Songs not fully playing in itunes or ipod....

Just wondering why some songs skip to the next even though the full song is in itunes? It's just random i'll be listening and then bam, goes to the next song.

nevermind lol.......guess what was happenin was that I loaded the songs on the shuffle after I changed the info on the certain songs to make ringtones with them, so it was only playing 30secs. I feel like such a dolt lmfao.

I can´t charge my i pod shuffle..

hi,
i have earned my shuffle from a competition in july 2005 and i have been using it since them..last week i realised that i couldn´t charge it.. when i connect it to the computer it simple isn´t recognized by the computer, and it doesn´t charge..i´ve already tried it in someone else´s computer and it happens the same thing.. the funny thing is that it plays music.. the problem is that the battery will run off and i won´t be able to listen to it again..
is it the usb connection that maybe is "broken"?

Writing the query correctly avoids that 'limitation'. If you only expect to get one row then write the query to ensure it returns one row, otherwise you are doing something wrong in your design.

In the Flash MX Professional I do not have the option of

(SOLVED)Toshiba P850 UEFI and issues with bootloaders

So I've been using Arch for over a year and a half and have installed it on 10+ systems. I got a new laptop in January 2013 which has a UEFI motherboard (I hate Intel) And ive tried installing Arch from pure memory and also from the beginners guide, the first day I got the laptop I installed Arch in 15 minutes with NO issues, now all of a sudden when I boot into UEFI (For some reason legacy support which is called "CSM" Does not seem to work with Arch, so I must use UEFI, if you know a way around this let me know) on the live disk, install goes successful, but when I try and install GRUB (Not grub-legacy) it says "UEFI Commands are not supported on this device" I read the article in the wiki about starting the kernel module, and I did that, install went successful with GRUB and I was able to make my grub file install to /boot/efi/EFI/grub.cfg. When I try and boot up it takes me to a grub screen for about 2 seconds, then reboots, then shows grub for 2 seconds, then reboots, etc..... And the grub menu that pops up ONLY says "grub" twice, it doesn't display any information as to what its going to load, so it seems like it failed. I DID change the root directory which is sda4, and I still get this issue.
My partitions are:
sda1 /boot 300MB
sda2 /boot/efi 700MB
sda3 SWAP 2048MB
sda4 / (the remaining amount of my 1TB HDD)
Does anyone have any tips? I really need to get this working.
EDIT: Also, I have tried SysLinux as well, that didn't work either. I don't care what bootloader I use as long as it can boot Arch! Ive currently got Debian installed and for some reason that's failing as well, but that disables my screen due to a kernel issue, I see the module fail to load in SystemD with Debian and it goes out, so I need Arch. Debian isn't that great anyways IMHO
SOLVED: Just installed via CSM instead. Took me some work arounds but i finally got it installed.

It told me to do that HERE
First, mount the ESP at your preferred mountpoint (usually /boot/efi, hereafter referred to as $esp). On a first install, you will need to mkdir /boot/efi, if that's where you want to mount it.
Now, install the GRUB UEFI application to $esp/EFI/grub and its modules to /boot/grub/x86_64-efi:
# grub-install --target=x86_64-efi --efi-directory=$esp --bootloader-id=grub --recheck --debug
The way I understand it is that I still needed /boot to be the MBR boot partition, then /boot/efi as the UEFI partition so I can build compatibility with my legacy support later on, right now that's an even bigger pain as it doesn't fully work (After I get it running with UEFI I can tinker with it, if I cant get it running then ill have to wait for a BIOS update).
Also, ive tried the Alternative method listed below that and it still didn't load GRUB like it should have, same original error
Also, right now im trying to install with just using these partitions:
mkfs.fat -F32 /dev/sda1 #EFI BOOT 700MB
mkswap /dev/sda2 #SWAP 2048MB
mkfs.ext4 /dev/sda3 # / Remaining amount of my 1TB HDD
Right now im going to wipe my HDD and then try and install using GummiBoot, I had it all correct but my partitions were not GPT so it didn't work (Which is most likely why GRUB failed, I don't know too much about the differences but from what I know that's what did it) Now when I try to erase and re-partition using a GPT tool it gives me an error saying its not possible to partition /dev/sda or something along the likes of that, im going to see if I can try gparted live later tonight or tomorrow instead of the one they use in the beginners guide.
Im honestly confused as to how I got it running earlier this year when I set it up lmfao. I know I used cfdisk to partition and was still using UEFI.

Broken screen (LED does not light up) help

ok..
so i have a macbook 13.3 white.. im pretty good with computers/etc..
So i turn on my macbook and the screen is dark.. but surely the macbook is on.. you can see the screen under bright light shined on the screen.
But the screen does not light up.
So i checked- my brightness settings.. then set power settings to normal.. set it to sleep and woke it up. NOPE.
I bought a new screen and installed it properly. NOPE same thing.
I bought a new power 'inverter'.. NOPE same thing
I bought a LVDS cord (chord connecting screen to the logicboard). NO same thing!
So at this point im real close to throwing it as far as i could from the side of the Golden Gate Bridge =/. but i refuse to.
I KNOW THERE IS A SOLUTION AND SOMEONE OUT THERE TO KNOW!

Assuming you have the correct file being pointed to, you should be able to just run (assuming you keep it named "enlighten")

Ok so i copied that script, and tried to run "./enlighten increase" but it said i needed to be sudo, so i did it with sudo, and it said "sudo: ./enlighten: command not found"
Then i just did 'sh enlighten increase" And this time it gave me:
enlighten: line 29: `update-kbd': not a valid identifier
I have no idea what that would mean.
When i google "`update-kbd': not a valid identifier" all it comes up with is my topic lmfao. Not much help there.

LED Keyboard does not light up.... Help?

I have a keyboard which has LED Lights under it. When i power my computer up it will light up when accessing the BIOS, but once it gets to the Grub screen it turns off, and im not exactly sure how to enable the light, my BIOS setting is set to ALWAYS have it on, but that is not working and im trying to find out how and can enable and disable it upon command if possible.
Ive googled and havent found anything on this, do you guys know what to do with this?
