Is seems to be problem related to maximal filesize handling of GNUtar implemented in CW2000.
The problem is with tar'ing HUM-Reports in /opt/CSCOpx/MDC/tomcat/webapps/upm/reports, and with reaching
tarfile-size of 2,9GByte error is thrown.

Thanks for any thoughts.

Hi Joe,
thanks for your feedback.
These files to be tarred aren't there directly after backup stops with error.
It seems that some process stores data about reports in that file and when trying to
pack these reports via tar they are delete by any cleanup method.
Does this help.
P.S. Backup usually takes about more than 1hour

  • LMS Backup - Cannot create or back up tar file

    Hello,
    We have LMS 3.2 installed and the backup is failing with the following message
    "Cannot create or back up tar file. Backup cancelled. Verify that you have write-access to this directory."
    I have removed Cygwin and also the set the backup to offline yet the same result. Please assist on this issue.
    Thanks.

    Hi Dedra,
    I will not give you as much help as Joseph, but will provide you an idea for possible problem explanation.
    Just following your sentence:
    I removed all traces of mentioned line but still the same problem.  Backup failed with the following message. I have noticed that all these  backup fail after writing 4GB of data into the backup directory.
    Are you sure you don't generate any file bigger than 4GB on a FAT32 file system support, which cannot be possible (external USB storage) ?
    It could be the reason for such a error message returned from your tar.exe process....
    D:/CiscoWorks_Backup/0/upm/filebackup.tarC:\PROGRA~1\CSCOpx\bin\tar.exe:  Write error: No space left on device would be the error message returned code from this situation oversizing file maximum size.
    Any simple solution would be to format your USB storage to NTFS or change backup destination to NTFS partition somewhere else for test and eliminate this supposition.
    regard,
    andré

    Phew!  That was harrowing.
    Found this, and it solved the problem.  Refreshingly, it was written in English and done well at that!
    http://pragmaticstudio.com/blog/2010/9/23/install-rails-ruby-mac
    Follow all the instructions.  The main missing ingredient for me was downloading the developer tools for the command line from Apple.  I had to register there, but it was free. These tools seemed to install the compiler where it was needed.  You might need a github something or other, I don't know.  I think I downloaded it as some point.  Anyway, I did everything this author told me, and now I have my first rails app!  Good luck - Joel

  • Getting error "Cannot create a BACPAC from a file that does not contain exported data." from SqlManagementClient.Dac.ImportAsync

    We're trying to import a dacpac to azure via the new SqlManagementClient DacOperations ImportAsync api I get an exception with the error: "Cannot create a BACPAC from a file that does not contain exported data."
    This same dacpac imports fine using an alternate but less friendly API from sql server's tooling. We'd like to use the new management SDK instead for various reasons.

    Hi Kyle A Wilt,
    I am trying to involve someone more familiar with this topic for a further look at this issue. Sometime delay might be expected from the job transferring. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
    Thank you for your understanding and support.

  • Installing Clamav: configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables

    I want to install clamav-0.93.3 but i keep getting an error at ./configure
    This server doesn't have access to internet so blastwave isn't an option i think.
    Here is my config.log
    This file contains any messages produced by compilers while
    running configure, to aid debugging if configure makes a mistake.
    It was created by clamav configure 0.93.3, which was
    generated by GNU Autoconf 2.61. Invocation command line was
    $ ./configure CC=/usr/bin/gcc

    I'm stumped. This is Mac OS 10.6.5 Snow Leopard; 2 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo; 4 G RAM.
    gcc2.95.2.pkg installed.
    X11SDK.pkg installed
    This all began when I moved to to MacBook from my old iBook.

    The Snow Leopard install CD has a sub-directory "Optional Installs" which holds a package "Xcode.mpkg". Installing Xcode.mpkg fixed my problem. My compiler is running fine now.

  • Error: C compiler cannot create executables [SOLVED!!!]

    hi,
    i am trying to make an evolution package that includes support for a palm pilot. i got the PKGBUILD file from somebody else and copied it to a directory. In that directory I then executed
    makepkg
    and tried to compile it. It goes pretty smooth until it complains about the following thing:
    error: C compiler cannot create executables
    i dont really know how to solve that problem and any help would be appriciated.
    thanks

    Try the basics...
    Create a file with the following text:
    #include <stdio.h>
    int main() {
    printf("Hello world");
    return 0;
    Save the file has hello.c and compile it with
    gcc -Wall hello.c -o hello
    and see if you get any errors... you might be having issues with packages like glibc or gcc that would maybe need to be reinstalled
    Normally, if it claims that gcc can't create exec's, you should see an error before that warning that would tell you what the problem is

    I could not find the indicated config.log file.
    I installed all the dependencies indicated in the wiki, but I have a feeling I must be missing basic in my configuration.  Both gcc and base-devel are installed.  I've also run makepkg as root.  What amI doing wrong?

  • [Solved] error: C compiler cannot create executables; see 'config.log'

    Trying to build avant-window-navigator from the aur using yaourt results in this error message.  I recently upgraded my system and suspect this may be the cause, but I'm not sure how to proceed from here.  My config.log follows.
    This file contains any messages produced by compilers while
    running configure, to aid debugging if configure makes a mistake.
    It was created by avant-window-navigator configure 0.4.1, which was
    generated by GNU Autoconf 2.68. Invocation command line was
    $ ./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/usr/share --disable-static --disable-pymod-checks

    cloog provides libcloog-isl.so cloog /usr/lib/libcloog-isl.so.3 and cloog /usr/lib/libcloog-isl.so.3.0.0 but not libcloog-isl.so.2.

    If your system is fully updated, maybe you're using some custom packages, like glibc https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 51#p845851
