LMS 3.2 Ciscoview 6.1.9 : Problem to recognize module WS-X4748-RJ45V+E

Hello,
LMS ( Ciscoview) fails to recognize the module WS-X4748-RJ45V+E into a 4510R+E
LMS is 3.2.
The other boards in the 4510R+E are recognized:
WS--X45-SUP7-E     : OK
WS-X4648 -RJ45-E    : OK
WS-X4748-RJ45V+E  : NOK
Can you help me ?
Regards,
Christian DUPRE.

You would need to restore a package repository which had all of the interdependent packages.  It is not as simple as replacing the current Cat6000IOS package with an older version.  There's not much more that can be done for troubleshooting at this point.  The LED thing should have been fixed.  I suspect a regression, but I do not have device package code, so I cannot confirm myself.

    Hi all,
I have a rpoblem with a specific client with LMS 3.2. We are using LMS 3.2 on Windows 2008 and everything seem to be working OK. The issue is in the CiscoView with the 4500 switches. CiscoView can see the supervisors on all 4500 switches (6); but cannot see the switchcards when the switchcards are WS-X4648-RJ45-E. Find the sh inv output below:

  • Problem with develop module

I have LR 5.4 running on a mac OS 10.7.5. I am having problems with the software locking up in the Develop module. Sometimes a new image won't open and the preview screen stays black. I go back to the Library module and try to reneter the Develop module and get an error message saying there was an error trying to open the module. The entire LR screen is gray. I have to quit LR and restart the software to continue. I downloaded my software from Abobe and I was wondering if I can download a new version again and use my same serial number to reinstall the software.

    Hi Rodney,
No custom print templates and this is a relatively new problem. It just
started about a week ago. I have been using the software steady for months
now. It did it once or twice last week but this weekend and today it has done
it about six times so it seems the problem is getting worse. That¹s why I
think the software may have been corrupted. I didn¹t keep a copy of the
software I downloaded so I can¹t reinstall. That¹s why I was wondering if I
could download it again and use the same serial number as before. I have only
loaded the latest version on my desktop. I also have LR 4 still installed on
my laptop and desktop. I have a big project to complete and this is really
    slowing me down.

Do you have any custom print templates? That might be the case, it was an
issue at one time. Delete them and try using one of the default presets.

  • Upgrade from LMS 3.0.1 to LMS 3.1 or 3.2 and problem with devices update

    Hello
How to upgrade from LMS 3.0 December 2007 update to LMS 3.1 or LMS 3.2. The problem is the large number of C2960S-24TS-L  switches that my organization has and cannot managed them..
I tried to upgrade devices through Software Center but always Ciscoworks informs me with the following message.
"Error while downloading package information from Cisco.com for the selected  products. See the log file for details".
Also i can not run EOL/EOS inventory report. The message is
" INVREP0102: Cisco.com user credentials are invalid. Enter correct credentials." I check my credentials and is right.
The server  has access to www through proxy without any restrictions.
In the past I've already updated devices through the software center. Also in the past i ve run EOS/EOL inventory reports.

Has anyone knows what can be the problem??.
    Thanks

    Hi,
the problem to access cisco.com is because of a "bug". Its ID is CSCto46927.
    http://tools.cisco.com/Support/BugToolKit/search/getBugDetails.do?method=fetchBugDetails&bugId=CSCto46927
    Symptom:
After the 16th of June 2011 LMS will no longer  be able to download Software and Device Package updates, or PSIRT and  End of Sale/Life information from CCO
    Conditions:
Hosted  services in Cisco.com that are being leveraged by LMS, for downloading  the latest Software and Device Package updates, as well as the PSIRT and  End of Sale/Life information are being migrated to a new framework and  the old services will be retired.
This will affect all LMS 3.x and 4.x versions.
Refer to https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-16806 for more information
    Workaround:
Users of LMS 3.2.1 , 4.0 should install the patch that can be downloaded from cisco.com
Users of earlier version will need to upgrade to LMS 3.2 and then install the LMS 3.2 SP1 patch set before installing the patch"
Because of that it is necessary to upgrade not only to 3.1 or 3.2, you need 3.2.1 to get the patch and then access to cisco.com again.
The question about the better way for updating I can't answer. I did a update to 3.1 and then to 3.2. But I think you will find the requirements for the updates in the notes for them.
But I can't find LMS 3.1 in the cisco download center. There is only 3.2 and 3.2.1 available for me.

  • LMS 4.0 CiscoView

          Hello,
We've recently installed some new Cisco 3750x switches on our LAN and CiscoView is not recognising them and has recommended that I update it to a newer version.
When I go on to   Software centre device update it's showing that there are 578 CiscoView device updates. When I click on check for updates I enter our CCO account which I can connect to using the Cisco Site as well and successfully login, however it's erroring out.
I'm leaving the proxy settings empty because we are not using a proxy server.
The error from the log file reads the following:
ERROR  [DownloadManager : queryAllPkgs]  : Exception while downloading CV packages from Cisco.comcom.cisco.nm.xms.vds.VDSException: CvHandler.getFileList:failed to connect to Cisco.com.
So, I thought this time I try to download the packages manually and install them. Based on Cisco Documentation I need to run the following command to determine the Device Packages by running the following command:
    nmcview
However, when i run this command, it's not being recognized.
This is becoming frustrating because I'm trying to get these updates and non of the ways that I'm trying seems to be working
    Can anyone please help?
Trying to use this link to do it manually:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/ciscoworks_ciscoview/4.0/quick/guide/cvgsdld.html#wp1915
    Many thanks,
    H

You can download the updates directly from cisco.com via a browser session (not via the LMS interface) and the use the option in the LMS interface to install from local files.
The instructions you referenced above are for the previous version of CiscoView that was included in LMS 3.2. You should instead go to this page and download the 3750 package (14.0 - readme here) and required dependent dtshare package. Once you have those files on your server you  can update using either the GUI (choosing check from a server instead of from cisco.com) or CLI utility as explained here and here.
You should also really consider upgradng your LMS from 4.0 to the current 4.2 release. There are quite a few bug fixes and usability enhancements.

  • LMS 2.6, CiscoView says Unsupported Card for 7600-ES

    Hi All,
Does CiscoView 6.1.5 support 7600-ES+20G3CXL card?
The module status shows as "Unsupported Card" whereas the chassis and Sup720 are fine.
I checked it in the latest device package readme doc for Cat6000IOS and couldn't find this card mentioned in it.
Is the card support included in this 6.1.5 version?
Thanks in advance for any help on this regard.

    Hi ,
Thanks.. But I could the following from the link that 7600-ES20-GE3CXL is supported from Cat6000IOS Version 30 package. However, am not sure if this module 7600-ES20-GE3CXL is different from the actual 7600-ES+20G3CXL one.
I have tried installing the package 30 but still says unsupported.

  • CiscoWorks LMS 4.0.1, user tracking acquisition problem on 3750 stack.

    Hello.
We are using Catalyst 3750 switch stacks with software 12.2(44)SE. We have two stacks, only one with IP routing enabled.
When we try to run an Acquisition Action on this, from Admin> Collection Settings> User Tracking, the system replies with an error "Failed to start acquisition: Device unreachable. Please enter a valid device".
Device Center reports "success" on all collector status.
Acquisition starts successfully when we try with the other stack.
With LMS 4.1 demo, users acquisition runs successfully.
    Any suggestions is appreciated.
    Thanks.
    Regards.
    Andrea

    Hello Andrea,
just wanted to let you know that I have fixed that for our system. I reinitated the UT Database with the following command:
    /opt/CSCOpx/bin/perl /opt/CSCOpx/campus/bin/reinitdb.pl -restore -ut -all
It's important to call perl with the full path, otherwise it will completely fail.
    Hope this will help you.

  • LMS & Captivate 4 Quiz...Exit problem

    Hi,
We are using Captivate 4. We are uploading Quiz slides into JoomlLMS. The SCORM is working fine. The records are updated in gradebook.
    The challenge:
How do we exit after completing the quiz. If we close the quiz window, we end up closing the LMS as well.
Any suggestions from expert users would be welcome.
    Best regards
    Rajan

Is the lesson launched in a new window or in a frame within the LMS window?
If it's own window, it would be very odd that closing that would also close the LMS window!
So I assume the lesson is launched in a frameset, yes?
Either way, how are you closing the window? IF with the Captivate X in the playback bar, that must be calling something like parent.window.close...yes? And the parent is the LMS window...
So don't use the CP button and make your own that does it different....but what works depends on how the LMS handles it.
Some LMS products will close the window as soon as LMS.terminate is called. Some LMS products wait for the lesson window to close out (in which case, maybe you can use something like history.back(2) or something?).
I'd say this is more a question for the Joomla group. What do they expect from the lesson to note that the lesson should close and the LMS resume?

  • LMS Issue in ciscoview

    Hi All,
Cisco view(patch 6.1.9) in lms 3.2.1 is not supporting router 1905. Any help here ?
    Thanks in advance
    Venky

Cisco 3945 Integrated Services Router is supported. You should have Rtr3900 package, a minimum of version 1.1. However please note Cisco 3945E Integrated Services Router (CISCO3945E/K9) is not supported.
You should get all these details from the document I shared :
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/ciscoworks_lan_management_solution/3.2/device_support/table/lms32sdt.html
Match the respective SysObjectID's of the devices which is unique identifier. Like 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.1041 is for supported 3945.
    -Thanks

Acquisition starts successfully when we try with the other stack.
    We are going to investigate!
    Any suggestions is appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Andrea

You aren't using SNMP v3 perchance are you? If you are, you need to use contexts. Reference this thread.
Have you tried initiating a full data collection and been successful? Reference this thread.
If neither of these suggestions works, the latter thread linked above has some more detailed troubleshooting suggestions.
    Hope this helps.

Sorry for replying late.. Was very busy.. So, the thing is that I disabled every module & loaded only microcode & powernow-k8 in /etc/rc.local. Now, I'm getting good speed while copying data but the problem is that the processor is running & full speed i.e. 3.0 GHz. I checked it via cat /proc/cpuinfo. Also, there is a message in the bootime, that i'm posting here..

  • Specific Problem with Library Module 1:1 Preview Loading

Hi everyone.  I've spent hours searching Google & forums for specific tips to try but I've found nothing that solved my problem.  I have a very specific problem loading 1:1 previews in Lightroom 3.3 while zoomed to 1:1.
When I initially import a shoot (usually 3000 to 6000 images), I always render 1:1 previews during import.  My understanding is that this activity writes full-sized previews to the "Previews" folder, but I also have observed that .DAT files are created in the "Camera Raw Cache" folder.  I have my Lightroom Previews folder and my Adobe Camera Raw Cache folder on the **same** solid-state hard disk, which is dedicated to Lightroom.
When I browse these newly-imported images in the Library module in Loupe view at 1:1 zoom, it's very zippy and fast to switch between images.  The images load without any message at a lower resolution, and then "snap" to full resolution after 0.25 to 0.5 seconds. No "Loading" message appears.
However, once the previews have "sat around for a while", even if they are still supposedly available in the Previews folder, loading the image at 1:1 in Loupe as described takes 3-5 seconds.  Shortly after going to an image, the message "Loading..." is displayed (it doesn't say where from), and 3-5 seconds later, the full res image appears.
This has nothing to do with changes to image settings requiring re-rendering of the preview.  These are images that I've imported but haven't browsed in a while.  I know that the previews are valid, because I can go to "Library > Previews > Render 1:1 Previews", and the task will complete within 20 or 30 seconds without re-rendering any photos after examining them and apparently finding that there are still valid 1:1 previews for all 4000 of them.  After doing this "re-render," the slow loading behavior is the same as before, because the re-render process always completes without actually updating the previews that it found are already there and presumably decided were still valid.  Discarding previews by "Library > Previews > Discard 1:1 Previews" and then trying to re-render them also does nothing, because LR3 apparently doesn't immediately delete the discarded previews, so they are picked back up again As-Is by the re-rendering process.
If I had to guess at the reason for this behavior based on the symptoms, I would say that it seems like Lightroom is forcing itself to re-render 1:1 previews upon browsing to images that are older than a certain age (very possibly the same "30 days" after which the 1:1 previews are supposed to be discarded).
Now, I've also observed that deleting the DAT files in the Camera Raw Cache folder has no adverse impact on load speed (which is what I would have expected to see if LR3 was looking for and loading images from this cache instead of the Previews folder).
What this means to me is that once the image previews reach this "outdated" state, I can't get fast 1:1 browsing performance in Loupe with any reliable procedure other than manually deleting [in Windows Explorer] the entire Preview folder and then re-rendering the 1:1 previews for this shoot.  This is of course terribly inconvenient when there are recent previews that I want to save.
Note:  I do not have any slowness under any circumstance when browsing at "Zoom to Fit".  This is only a problem when I'm browsing at 1:1 zoom (like when I'm comparing sharpness between a set of photos).
Note:  For images with the slow behavior described, once the image has been loaded once at 1:1 zoom, it's henceforth snappy again when returning to the image (as if Lightroom was once again accepting the Preview file as valid).
    So, here's a summary:
Previews (X:\Lightroom Catalog Previews\) and Camera Raw Cache (X:\Lightroom Cache\) are on same, dedicated, fast drive
1:1 previews from recently-imported files load full-res at 1:1 zoom in less than 1/2 second.
Older 1:1 previews take 3-5 seconds to load full-res at 1:1 zoom, even though the previews are supposedly being loaded from still-valid 1:1 previews in the Previews folder.
I'm really tired, so i hope this makes sense.  I don't see how this could be a hardware problem, because I get good performance with recently-imported images.  I'm running LR3.3 on Win 7 Pro x64 with 8 GB of RAM and a 2.4 GHz Intel Core2 Quad CPU.  Never had LR3 beta installed - upgraded to 3.0 from the last 2.X version.  After upgrading, in response to this exact issue, I deleted my entire previews folder and rebuilt, but I continue to have the exact same problem on every shoot that I import.  It's most noticeable on the large shoots, because I end up having to browse at 1:1 zoom to compare a set of similar images.
Only workaround I've found:  in Windows Explorer, manually delete the Previews folder.  Return to Lightroom and rebuild 1:1 previews.  This forces the previews to be rebuilt for all images.
Another possible workaround I am going to experiment with: setting the Previews to "Do Not Discard", in case the defualt "Discard after 30 days" that I've used is causing or contributing to the problem.  If Lightroom is actually discarding the images after 30 days but forgetting that it had discarded them when asked to re-render 1:1's, maybe setting to "Do not discard" will bandage that problem by never discarding them to begin with.
All right, I'm falling asleep at the keyboard.  I'm afraid to add more details as they may become incoherent.  Hope to hear some good news, as fixing this problem would make my LR3 experience so much more pleasant.
Can anyone assist with this problem?

Yes - this is my problem.  Previews should still be valid, and "Library > Previews > Render 1:1 Previews" says the images are still valid, but then Loupe rebuilds them anyways.

If everything was working correctly, the setting for discard shouldn't have any effect on whether the previews go stale or not. ...
My understanding is that if everything were working as intended, the "setting for discard" that I was referring to (Edit > Catalog Settings > File Handling > "Automatically Discard 1:1 Previews") should be the sole determinant of whether 1:1 previews must be rebuilt for images with unmodified settings.
For example, if I import an image and render a 1:1 preview, and if I set the "Auto Discard 1:1" setting to "30 Days", and if I make no changes to the image's settings, then I would expect that the image should render quickly (under 1/2 second) at 1:1 zoom in Loupe view for the next 30 days.  On the 31st day, I would expect the image to take longer to load as a new 1:1 preview was rendered and stored, and then I would expect this new preview to be retained for another 30 days.
I would furthermore expect that the 30-day counter would be reset every time the image was re-rendered (i.e. if I go into Develop and change something).
To a certain extent, this is functioning correctly on my system.  When I go to one of these "problem images" that inexplicably load slowly, returning to them subsequently is quick.  I think my problem is just, as Rob suggested, that some part of Lightroom's "brain" has wacky ideas about whether an up-to-date 1:1 preview exists or not.
If I choose to "Never" automatically discard 1:1 previews (which is what I just switched to), then I should "Never" see unmodified images taking 3-5 seconds to "Load" at 1:1 zoom in Loupe.
Since I just nuked my Previews folder again last night and re-rendered 1:1's overnight for a 3000 image shoot, it might be a while before I start encountering this bug again.  I will certainly post any further related experiences here and will keep checking for anyone who has further insight.

...we know that Lr3.4 RC fixed the manual discard bug, so, if I were you I would focus any further tests on Lr3.4RC.
Thanks for pointing this out.  I will upgrade to 3.4RC - at least then I will be able to force a rebuild of previews from one shoot without having to manually delete the previews for my entire catalog.  I'll no longer have to throw out all the food in the refrigerator just because something smells funny.

The DAT files are created at the same time as Library previews. However, they are only used in Develop module.
Yes, I definitely agree with this (although, the Cache is probably also used while rendering new previews after "Quick Develop" changes in the Library module....).  I posted my observations to this effect just in case someone else wondered the same thing I did.  It is clear that the DAT files get written every time a preview is rendered for RAW file.  Rob, now that I'm thinking with a clearer mind, I think the only thing these Cached files are used for is if you "return" to recently rendered settings in Develop or Quick Develop - then, that particular combination of settings yields a match in the cache, and LR loads the image from the Cache into Previews and onto the screen.  It is logical that the cache wouldn't help us when going to new settings, because the new settings would create a partially or completely different rendering than any other combination of settings.  Adobe may be going to more advanced levels of "reusability" than this, but I'm sure this is the general state of things.
You may want to open back up write access to that Cache folder...
    Thanks, Rob & Ian!
So, my question, or bug report, still remains for now - why am I biting into a bag of chips marked "Fresh" and finding them Stale?  And why does it say "Paper Jam" when there is no paper jam?

  • Problem in using module AF_Modules/StrictXml2PlainBean in xml to file scena

    Hi Expert ,
I have problem in converting XML to CSV in the following structure.
    MT_EAN_MASTER
           -E1WBB01
                  -E1WBB03
                           -EAN_MASTER
                                    -Item_no
                                    -Item_desc
                                    -ean
I am using AF_Modules/StrictXml2PlainBean in receiver communication channel.
    modulekey               parametername                                         parametervalue
    abc                          EAN_MASTER.fieldSeparator                    , (comma)
    abc                          recordTypes                                              EAN_MASTER
I have to use 3 level hierarchy structure because of a requirement where an item can have multiple ean.
CSV is not getting generated as it is giving me an error in RWB as
The element nesting level for the structure EAN_MASTER is too deep (reference: 3 levels, found: 4 levels): com.sap.aii.af.modules.conversion.xml2plain.ConversionException: The element nesting level for the structure EAN_MASTER is too deep (reference: 3 levels, found: 4 levels) at XML element MT_EAN_MASTER,E1WBB01,E1WBB03,EAN_MASTER
Please provide some solution to generate a CSV with end seperator as newline.

    For this scenario,
First I have used FCC for the same structure and CSV is also generated, but the CSV when opened with NOTEPAD it is not showing endSeparator , i.e my first row last element is concatenated with second row first element, there is no row seperator.
But the same when opened with WordPad,we can see the data, row wise
now the destination system open the file in notepad only.
for that i tried using this Bean specified above but it is not fulfilling the requirement.
The parameters I have mentioned in FCC are as follows:
    Recordset Structure : E1WBB01,E1WBB03,EAN_MASTER
    NAME                                      VALUE
    EAN_MASTER.fieldSeparator     ,   (comma)
    EAN_MASTER.endSeparator     'nl'
    E1WBB03.fieldSeparator            ,
    E1WBB03.endSeparator             'nl'
    E1WBB01.fieldSeparator            ,
    E1WBB01.endSeparator             'nl'
Please provide a solution, why thr endSeparator is not shown in notepad.
    Thanks
