LMS 4.2.2 DFM still not possible to disable Duplicate IP false positives?

I found one discussion about Cisco Works 2.6 where it is pointed out that duplicate IP alerts cannot be disabled in LMS.
Now I have a installation with 2 core switches, one has all VLAN Interfaces up, the second one the same interfaces with SAME IP addresses in shutdown state.
DFM still recognizes these similar IP configuration on two boxes as duplicate ip situation, but it shouldn't because they are all shutdown.
Is it possible to disable these false positives in DFM?

This is still not possible (4.0 EA3)
The ref cursor data can be copied, but not the headings..

I think you're out of luck... except if you're on 11g where you can use DBMS_SQL.TO_CURSOR_NUMBER to convert the REF CURSOR to a DBMS_SQL cursor, and then benefit from the DBMS_SQL package to get column details.

We have two BPELs which keep filling up the domain log with the line in the heading:
Recovery still not possible after 6760 attempts due to ORABPEL-11001...
I believe we have fixed any possible input directory issues but the error message continues to be written.
I expect that redeploying (rebooting server?) should end the messages but, either way:
Do you know if there is a setting on either the BPEL development process (jDev) or the SOA server where I can limit the number of attempts?

We are running on Unix.
The BPELs were deployed before the respective in-/output directories had been created. I think this might have caused the initial problem.
Once the directories were created (with full permissions -777), though, the messages continued.
I checked the descriptors on the deployed bpels and they seem to be pointing to the correct absolute path for the input files.
So, ASSUMING that the paths are now correct and permissions are ok:
Is there any way of making the attempts stop (as in "kill -9 annoying_bpel_process" ;) ?, or,
Is there a setting in the server admin side to limit the number of attempts in the future ?, or,
Do we need to redeploy the same Bpel after we created the directories ?

Possible avast! anti-virus false positive on imac

greetings, installed the free avast! anti-virus software earlier today & ran a scan on my imac. results showed 2 infections of - Win32:Injector-AEO[Trj] . so i did a quick search & found that the win32 virus should have no effect on a mac. is that true? but that i could possible infect others pc's? also found that avast! is know for false positives, presumably so they can get you to upgrade to their expensive pay service. there seems to be no way to remove the infections with the free software avast! provided. i was advised to de-install the avast! software - which i did. so i was wondering what the best course of action is at this point? get norton or something & rescan, or what?

Windows malware does not affect OS X. It is true you can pass along the malware to another through email assuming the malware came to you in email and you forwarded the email to others.
In general you have no need for such protection in OS X at this time. You would be better off with no such software installed.

Cannot delete e-mail account on iphone, profiles were deleted but still not possible to delete account

I am not able to delete e-mail accounts on my iphone. I deleted the profiles but I still cannot delete the account. In settings-general the profiles are not there anymore.

Subtitles, still not possible? Workflow suggestions please.

Hi all,
I have a client who wants to have (burned in) subtitles under an excisting piece of video.
I was thinking "He... No problem in PPro", but to my surprise this isn't really possible. I've been searching the web, and besides the same question going back to !!2006!! there's no real solution.
The only suggestions I found are about doing this in Encore. But the problem there is that Encore cannot export to .mp4 or Flash video. Or export the video and have the subs burned in for convenience sake.
I could treat all subs as titles in PPro, but this would take a lot longer. I cannot understand this basic functionality isn't available for PPro.
We don't all have Encore installed just for the sake of adding subtitles to a video.
If anyone has a good workflow for stuff like this, I really like to hear it. Preferably without resorting to installing all kinds of exotic apps and weird file shuffles.

OE = PEBKAC I guess.......
I'll ask the admin to install Encore as well, as it might be handy to have installed next to PPro. Didin't know it comes bundled with it. Never had the need for it...
In the meantime I found an interesting script for AE called "pt_ImportSubTitles", that will import a Encore subs .txt file with all the timecode intact. From there you can go back to into PPro and import the AE comp as overlay on the videotrack.
Still a bit cumbersome, but workable for now and a lot faster than adding it one by one in PPro. Also the subs are still editable in AE, so it's a bit more fluid while working with it.
It would be very handy to have something similar in a future version of PPro, as subs don't always have to be on a DVD only.

Will I still need to save data to disk, just to be able get it into the XML structure?

I totally agree. I look for this improvement once in a while, when I do changes and improvements in my code. I hoped I just hadn't noticed some other way to do it "in memory". It seems very unnecessary with this disk access.
I filed a feature request at https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform.
Perhaps more people wish for the same... and evntually the XML import functions will be able to handle an XML datatype object as argument.

Not possible to delete link investment program position from Appropriation request

Dear specialists,
We have a problem with deleting a linked investment program position in an appropriation request (IMA3, IMA11 or IMA12).
We could edit some of the appr.req.'s but a few give an error.
Steps done:
We deleted the status BUDG from the linked projects (budgets deleted and OPSX for deletion of status).
The we run the IM27_repeat.
For the most of the appr.req.'s the linke was removed (table IMZO).
For a few of our req.'s the link is not removed so that we can't link the new progr.pos. to this appr.req.

Federation merge still not available?

Is it still not possible to perform a merge operation which merges the content of two SQL Azure federations?
Considering that SQL Azure does not support cross-database SELECT/INSERT's, it almost sounds like I would need to retrieve all data from one federation, store it in some persistent format in blob storage, perform a DROP operation to extend an existing federation
and then import the data back into SQL Azure.
Is this still the case?

I'm sorry that you're having issues with SQL Database Federations. Unfortunately we are in the process of deprecating Federations, in part based on customer feedback.

Travel Expense: Error: Travel Exp already exist not possible to switch schema

I am supporting Travel Management in one reputed company.
User facing one issue where TRF raised by copying one old TRF, during that time Travel expense report also getting copied. It is not giving any error while raising TRF in this process, but when the user trying to raise TER for the same he is geeing error: 'Travel Expenses already exist not possible to switch schema' Kindly suggest how can I stop this. no. Leave that as it is. I wasn't entirely sure whether the field's value influences the TER in any way. But since it is = 1 and your TER schema collides, this is completely irrelevant. Still good to have this ruled out.
Have you checked what I wrote concerning FITVFELD_WEB? There's a checkbox in the schema "Overlapping Trips allowed" (loosely translated from German, might not be verbatim). If it's not checked, check it and retry.
Again though: 4 years ago, as I already stated in my earlier posts, these settings had no impact on the collision of Travel Expense Claims and coexisting TERs in the same time were not possible. I assume it is still not possible, so we're clutching at straws here.
However. If I understood your business needs correctly, you actually do not want the expense report data/indicators to be taken into account, because you just need the copy for the Travel Request, right? There might be chances for implicit enhancements and "killing" that bit information from the copied TE-Cluster entry so it doesn't stray into the copy of the Travel Request Copy anymore.

Internet Accounts (Mail/Calendar) still not working with Google account

Half a year after the release of Mavericks, it's still not possible to use Apple Mail and Calendar with my Google account. There's always the same error message:
There was a problem setting up the account.
An unknown error occurred.
I don't understand why this problem couldn't be fixed yet.

I have the same setup and it works just fine.
Reboot into Safe Mode and try again. Post back with the result.

Multiple @Converter annotations not possible

It would make sense to be able to define multiple @Converter's on a @MappedSuperclass and @Entities to make the converter available to all subclasses.
This is currently not possible (?) since duplicate annotations is illegal.
Shouldn't @Converter be changed to take an array or convertes instead?

Is it possible to disable the 'edit layout' link on the record detail page

Is it possible to disable the 'edit layout' link on the record detail page? Not the homepages, I know there is a switch for that, but I thought there was one for the detail pages?
I want to disable this as I dont want users saving their own layouts, they must stick to the related sections defined in the default layout. The problem is that if they are to have access to certain related lists when an opportunity is of a certain type but NOT other types. If they have saved the layout (using the 'Edit Layout' link), and change the record type, they will see related sections that have been set to 'Not available' in the default layout (ie step 4) for that 'type'.

Robbo, at this time it not possible to disable the Edit Layout on the record detail page.

Now if I understand this alarm correctly, it's looking at any SMB data that appears after the "\PIPE" in a packet, right? Given my dump, I don't think there's anything to get excited about... Is this another broken SMB-related signature?

It looks like you posted the wrong event log so I have no way to tell if this is a false positive.
(I'm assuming your referring to signature 3334-0)
If you are using the 4.x version of this signature there may be potential for a false positive, since we do not tie the regex to a uuid. If you are running 5.x I do not think its possible for this signature to false positive. To add fidelity we used 5.xs engine meta and created a signature to ensure a hit on this signature as well as one for the msrpc bind requests uuid. There is no way to improve the signature in 4.x without creating a risk for false negatives (if you dont mind the risk just increase the allocation hint). That being said, the 4.x version of this signature does look for very specific things:
3334-0 looks for an msrpc bind request using SMB_COM_Transaction utilizing the PIPE resource with an allocation hint >=1700, function 38 (base-10 for all these values), opcode 25 (base 10), set count of 2, and a word count of 16.
