LMS 4.2.4 Threshold Settings and High Severity Faults

Hi,
I have implement the LMS 4.2.4 few months back. I tried to setup the unreachable alert when some switch is down. I understand that the new LMS do not have the feature and it only can send out alert when reach some threshold.
I tried to click on the Fault > Threshold Settings and getting the below error message.
Cannot retrieve the list of groups from the grouping service.
Please check the PTMClient.log file for more details.
I have attached the log files. Anyone know how can I resolve it? Really completely out of idea.

Hi there Can you tell us what software you are using? I know you probably believe you did by saying Adobe Pro. But there are lots of Adobe products and several have a "Pro" designation. If you can tell us what product you are using, we can tell you a better place to ask the question where other folks using that particular product hang out and are helpful. Cheers... Rick

Congrats on the first iPhone. This is not normal. First check if moving the volume up or down either way has any impact on the sound. Then see what happens while on speakerphone. If you can hear ok on speakerphone, and there's no change from the regular earpiece with the volume changing, check with the carrier you received it from or the Apple store you purchased from. They will have other things to look at for you.

As a work around , you can create a VM without installing OS and configure the Vlan of VNic , then export it .
The new VM will be with Vlan ID when you import the "export file".(note : you need to select "copy the virtual machine " in the tab "choose import type" during importing ) .

The deinterlace and high quality settings

Hi !
I've seen the options "deinterlace" and "high quality" for the video track in the sequence properties from "window" of Quicktime.
Does anyone know what they do exactly ?

Open Automator.
Click once on the word QuickTime in the "Library" (left most pane).
Drag the "Set Movie Playback Properties" (Action pane) to the right side part of the window.
Set your parameters and save the workflow and an Application.
Drag your QuickTime files onto this Application (one at a time or as a group) and they will be converted.

Need web intelligence server memory threshold settings for SAP BO BI XI4.0

We have found that WIreportserver.exe process taking high memory in our BO systems. We are in SAP Business objects XI 4.0 SP 07 Patch 2 version now.
We have found that the Web intelligence server memory threshold settings to be changed in case of these issues.
But there are no documents that says about the recommended settings for SAP BO BI XI 4.0 version.
The XI 3.1 recommendations(SAP Note:1544103 ) can not be taken as its a 32bit server and the X14.0 is a 64 bit one.
Please let me know the recommended settings for web intelligence server memory threshold settings SAP BO BI XI 4.0 version or any SAP note that says about it.
Any suggestions/ recommendations are welcomed that will fix the issue.

There is settings for 'Web Intelligence Server Memory Threshold Settings' where we will set values for memory max threshold,memory lower threshold and memory upper threshold values .You can check the SAP note 1544103 which says the settings , but its applicable for 3.1.
and which ones have you changed already?
We have not done any changes in settings yet. We are actually searching for the recommended values.
what errors / symptom are you trying to avoid?
We are facing issue in 'WIreportserver.exe' occupying 100% memory.
Please suggest and let me know if any other information is needed.

K8N Neo2 problems running 300MHz HTT and higher than "100MHz" RAM divider

Hi!
Got some problems with my K8N Neo2 when running the HTT much above 300MHz, only RAM divider that's stable is "100MHz" which means the RAM runs at the half speed of HTT. That's not good since my RAM does 270MHz with "200MHz"/1:1 divider.
This is not a problem when I run my FX-55, but when I was going to overclock my 3000+ Winchester where the highest MP is 9 this is a big problem. It does 3004MHz (9x334MHz) stable with Prime95 and runs Super Pi at 3135MHz (9x348MHz), but with only 174MHz (348MHz/2) on my RAM the performance is bad. CPU is cooled by Prometeia Mach II.
I'm running HT Frequency/LDT of 3x, any of the settings under 3x doesn't work right (looks like 2,5x equals 3x and 2x, 1,5x and 1x equals 4x). Any BIOSes where the HT Frequency settings below 3x works right?

Why are you insistent on running your frequency at 300Mhz and higher? Why not lower the frequency and increase the multiplier? For example, you could run 275Mhz x 11 for a CPU frequency of 3025Mhz. Then you could still run your RAM at the 1:1 ratio.....
Just a thought -- curious why you haven't tried that...

Sorry. There's nothing anyone can do. The current version of the facebook app will not run on 4.2.1. The iPhone 3G won't run anything higher than 4.2.1. You're stuck.
Maybe it's time to buy yourself a new iPod Touch.

while creating excise invoice (J1IIN) Education cess and Higher ed Cess is not appered in J1IIN.
BED is coming properly in J1iin, even billing document (VF01) also posted properly with proper GL A/C.
i have done excise default setting in spro, even J1id also maintain.
or , any note apply? this is new implementation. version SAP ECC 6.0

--check whether your Education cess and Higher ed Cess condition type is assigned to the excise pricing procedure.
check in account determination

Raster Effects Settings and Effects Size Relationship

Hi,
I've noticed when one of my colleagues has created a concept file with RES set to 72dpi, when I go to change the settings to 300dpi, the size of the effects changes. This kinda makes sense to me so I just go in and multiply the effects by 4 to get a hi-res simulation of the original concept.
What's confusing to me is that sometimes the effects do not resize, they remain the same but just look sharper and higher in resolution. This saves me having to do the multiplication procedure which is great. I'm confused as to why this happens sometimes and on other occasions does not. Is there a preference somewhere that dictates whether effects resize according to resolution?
I'm using CS2 by the way.

1. Is there any way to export out the list of current thresholds for all monitored servers under SunMC via command-line?

command-line?You mean with SunMC's built-in es-cli? Not easily. It would be a fair bit of work trying to wrap es-cli in bash/Perl to get it to work. It would be easier to do something like scp the base-modules-d.dat file from every Agent and then scp the corresponding .dat files listed inside. That would give you all config and thresholds in ASCII for every system.
You could also use a Configuration Task within the Console to copy those files to the Server. It could also be scheduled.
Turning those dat files into something more easily readable would then be an exercise in scripting if you want it in your own format (i.e. HTML).
For just detecting a change, "diff" would do fine.

settings?Other than when a module is loaded security info for the person who changes something they're allowed to is not stored anywhere. You may be able to parse server.log on the SunMC Server and try to figure out what went on, but there's noting in the GUI that will show that kind of audit trail.
Using something like the File Watcher module against base-modules-d.dat would show what changes were made over time (and optionally alarm on them) for module load/unload or the changing of load params. The same module pointed to a module .dat file would also pick up threshold changes.

LMS 3.2 : issue with custom portal : high CPU

Hi,
Customer has a big issue with LMS.
When he connects to the standard portal, it works fine.
pdshow seems ok.
But when he wants to work with custom portal (portal.jpg), it makes a long time to display information and when he wants select something it hangs.
CPU is very high. He must stoped/restart LMS to have a normal CPU.
I asked him to :
- restart LMS, he made at 14h30
- CPU was ok and he worked with standard portal withou problems but when he tried to put debug for portal CPU increase at 15h30:
Common Services -> server -> Admin -> CS Log Configurations: debug on CiscoWorks Portal, CiscoWorks portlets and CS Home
Process which takes a lot of CPU is tomcat, you will find pdshow.txt, stdout.log and stderr.log.
He tries to go to the custom portal but it hangs, you will find logs from debug : CSHomePage.log and CSPortal.log
he sent me AAD.log because there was " high severity alert".

The most obvious problem is that DfmBroker is down. Check to make sure tcp/9002 is not in user, then try a server reboot. See if the AAD problems go away (and perhaps the CPU problem will as well). If not, post the NMSROOT/objects/local/logs/broker.log.

Symptom:
An end-user cannot play Adobe Access protected content. The client application returns a persistent 3321 (Individualization Error) or 3322 (Device Binding Failure) error code.
Root Cause in Chrome Browser:
Adobe Access DRM must create a unique machine identifier (I.e. "token") to identify the the device. This token is provided to the Adobe Access license server during a license request to view DRM protected content. If Chrome Browser disables the ability for Adobe Access DRM to create a unique machine identifier, playback of Protected Content will fail with a 3321 or 3322 error code. By default, this setting is enabled and available to toggle in Chrome Browser version 30 and higher. Unchecking this option will prevent Adobe Access DRM from properly functioning. A 3321 or 3322 error that persists after a call to resetDRMVouchers is an indicator that this setting may need to be changed.
Resolution:
In your Chrome settings:
•             Click on "Show advanced settings…"
•             In the subsequent "Privacy" section, click on "Content settings…"
•             In the subsequent "Protected Content" section, make sure that the following box is checked "Allow identifiers for protected content (computer restart may be required)".
We are working with Google to allow better detection of this condition, so that the client will return a 3368 (User cancelled or user settings disallow operation) error code when the box is unchecked.
