Lms 4.2 didn't notify me when a Power supply stops working

Hi Guys
i have router 7200 , one of its power supply stops working , but lms 4.2 doesn't notify me?pls help to solve this issue
thanks
ibrahim

Ibrahim,
Is the 7200 being managed by LMS? Please confirm:
1. The device is setup to be managed by fault (reference)
2. The device credentials are correct (using the tool in Device Center)
3. That you have logging and snmp server destination = LMS server on your router.
#3 is not necessary but optional. If #1 and #2 are correct, Fault management should pick up the failure.

    Hello Philly,
I believe that when you reset your ipod(command given from the computer, right?)  touch WHILE the ipod was updating, It cleared the system in the middle of writing files, thus corrupting(equivalent of cutting of in the middle of a sentence) the basic running system.
I suggest you go to an apple store and ask for a technical diagonosis in person. they may offer to help if the problem is fixable. If your ipod is still under warrenty, i would guess it would be free/low cost.

  • T400 shake display when plug power supply s.o winxp

    Hello everybody
Days ago I installed windows XP prof to thinkpad T400 , I used driver Intel Display Driver for Windows XP and ATI Display Driver for Windows XP but sometimes when plug power supply suddenly display start shake. please help me about of this
    thanks a lot

Ok, as an electrical engineer...I have to step in here! LOL
First, these amp rating are for 2 +12 rails. That is why you see a protection of around 15-18A on the +12 rail. That means each Rail is allowed up to 18A lets say for the new Enermax 1.2 version like the one I have.
Now, Lets say 18A for 12V....well as you know the Abit NF7-S uses the 12V for powering the CPU.
Lets say you have a Barton like me and you want it stable at around 2.4-2.5Ghz. You will have to put lets say around 2V to the cpu to get it stable at that kinda speed, specially if you have high FSB like I do. So 12V * 18Amps = 216W ....well the converter on the NFS-7 is really bad, its loss on the step down convertion is probably around 25% along with the PSU lost cuz its not running at 25oC (another 15%)....you will actually only get around 100-120W for the CPU.
Now, if you go into Sandra and see how much a Barton eats up at 2.4Ghz you will see its around 110Watts.
So, if you wanna push more, dont even think about it! Prime Power test fails and your +12 rail will drop as low as 11.60 Volts.
Now, lets say you got yourself a AMD 64 bit chip and you wanna overclock it....I bet it will need more than 110Watts.
So, what im saying is, dont buy nothing less than a 500 Watt PSU!
You really need around 20-22 A on the main +12 along with really really good cooling on the case and PSU so it is running at a 100%.

i found this quite interesting especially the bit re the power loss turning the 12v into 1.6v or what ever cpu needs

  • How can I make my computer notify me when the power cord unplugs?

My power cord for my PowerBook G4 tends to unplug without my noticing. Is there a program I can download or can I write an script so that it makes a sound when the power cord unplugs?

That is the way Mac OS X 10.8 (aka Mountain Lion) works by default. Are you actually running that system? (See About This Mac in the Apple menu.) If so, make sure the check box in the shut down alert is checked:

  • System sound (like when empty trash) miserably stop working in Lion 10.7.2

I have upgraded to Lion10.7.2 on my Macbook Pro early 2008 Intel 15 inches, and the update went fine except one annoying problem I found so far.
This problem also occurred in 10.7.0 and 10.7.1 and it seems that no fix has been made in 10.7.2
The problem is when I drag file to Trash and empty it, there should be trash empty sound effect, and this has been with us since Tiger.
In 10.7.2 it work as expected, but when I close the lid to get it to sleep, once I open the lid, the system sound is gone without no reason.
When I play music from iTunes, or when I change volume level, the sound effects work as usual, but empty trash sound stop working miserable.
I have to shut down, press Option-Command-P-R and power on to reset PRAM then system sound like empty trash come back. Again, afpr may be half a day, it's gone again
Any friend here has solution for this? The com.apple.soundprefs.plist file, if you delete it, in Lion, it is not recreated again, and it's gone forever. SO delete plist file is not a solution.
    Help please

I found a workaround to my problem accidentally.
As the system sound like empty trash or file drag sound stop working miserably, after close the MBP lid to sleep, after it awake, system sound just stop working.
Before this, I have to shut down my MBP, reset PRAM by press Option-Control-P-R and power on, to get the system sound back
But I found that the workaround whenever the system sound stop working thad do not require reboot is:
    1. Go to System Preference-Sound
    2. Change Play sound effects through: Internal Speakers to Soundflower 2ch) in the drop down list.
(Soundflower has been installed by a software called iShowU HD (screen capturing software))
    3. Slide to change Alert Volume from the original position
    4. Switch back to Internal Speakers from Soundflower 92ch) in the drop down list
    5. Change Alert Volume by moving slide bar back to the desirable position
Immediately, the sound effects that stop working will start working again.
This just work for my case. I don't know it will work for ther people that have the same problem as me or not.
And if possible, can some expert here give me explanation why doing the above make system sound effect to work again? mI want to know the cause, and definite solution to the problem
Advise and suggestion please. Thank in advance

  • What to do when my iPhone5 camera stop working?

My iPhone5 camera and flashlight stop working. Face time camera works fine but back camera including video camera are frozen when I press the push bottom.
Sometimes I can retrieve my  pictures to view from the phone by using push bottom. But other times camera push bottom does not respond.

If no change after a reset which is similar to a computer restart and is done by pressing and holding the home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously, try restoring the iPhone with iTunes.
If no change after restoring the iPhone with iTunes - especially after restoring as a new iPhone or not from the backup, the iPhone has a hardware problem.

  • I lost the configuration when the power supply is shut down

Hello, i have a problem with a linksys wireless model wrt54gs. When the power suply is off all the configuration is lost. How i can fix that problem?.

I'm having exactly the same problem with a WAP54G that purchased 2 days ago:
I set and used fine within 2 mins of opening shrink wrap. The next day we have a powercut. After power was restored the AP was broadcasting using its factory SSID and default WPA security setting. The Setup Wizard status showed the settings that I had entered BUT admin password was not recognised, neither was "admin" so I couldn't change settings.
I Googled for reset to factory defaults - 60sec press of reset with power on, 15sec power off. Setup wizard confirmed that factory defaults have been restored.
I then used the Web interface to configure - changed SSID, wireless security setting and admin password. Everything ok again.
This morning find that SSID and wireless security settings are set back to default but strangely NOT the admin password. There are no other signs in the house of a power outage, the AP has just lost some of its config.
    What is going on?

  • TS1630 I was in the middle of a call on speakerphone when the speaker just stopped working.  Could the spear on my 1 month old iPhone 5 have blown?

I got my IPhone 5 in April.  Today, while on a speakerphone call, the speaker just stopped working.  The support on Apple said if their troubleshooting didn't work (which it did not), to reset the phone.  I am really not interested in doing that.  So.....any other ideas besides what was already explained in the troubleshooting section?

the first thing to try is a reset
Hold both the home and the on/off button till you see the apple logo. Release the buttons and let it reset

  • What are we supposed to do when the magic mouse stops working?

Everything was fine last night, until my mouse again lost it's connection. The light was blinking fine, but no connection, I changed batteries (even tho the ones inside showed nearly a full charge), still wouldn't work. I realized, ok, now what? Shouldn't Apple include a corded mouse, for back-up, should the bluetooth one screw up, die, or for whatever reason, not work any longer?
Again, I felt totally frustrated, couldn't even look up the local Apple Store number, (too late to call tech help), or do anything! *** is someone supposed to do? I thought I may have an old, wired mouse somewhere, as I had just moved. Well, somehow I found it, plugged it in, but it didn't work either (I think that tiny, all-too-fragile wire had frayed a bit), so I was really frustrated & helpless feeling. Remembered I had bought the trackpad, so I pulled that out. Well, talk about confusion, the directions talked about first downloading the software, running software update, etc, before trying to connect it!
Since I had no way to do that (I know there's some way to navigate the monitor window, using only the keyboard, but while I tried what I could, I couldn't do anything but go up and down or side to side, no way to access the toolbar, but just now realized, I probably could've accessed the dock, & done something,...
But I turned on the pad & prayed, at first it didn't do anything, but then finally connected.
Once that happened, I turned on the mouse again, and now it worked. So I tried to turn the pad off, but it didn't want to turn off, it kept showing up on the screen.....eventually it turned off, and now things are back to normal.
But my question is what does Apple expect us to do, should the mouse screw up? What can be used if it goes down? They seem to have problems for most people, at times, & it seems a bit like not having a parachute...

    Saxman,
I think their parachute effort was System Preferences > Bluetooth > Advanced... > "Open Bluetooth Setup Assistant at startup when no input device is present". In your case the keyboard was there so it probably didn't open. Now that you have a mouse and trackpad, you should have at least one of them connect, so that's a bit of insurance.
I would also add those devices to bluetooth favorites located under the gear icon below the list. Select "show more information" if you don't see the favorites selection.

  • MOVED: When installing soundcard USB stops working

This topic has been moved to AMD VIA SocketA based board.
    https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=73624.0

    Hi!
First, it doesnt matter which pci-slot i use, and also: it happens when I use the onboard-sound card also!!
And my psu probably got nothing to do with it, I've tried a B-Zerk 500W also and nothing changed so i guess it has got to do something with drivers.
It is good that people ask so many questions, you'll never know what can be wrong in a situation like this.
I haven't tried newest 4in1-drivers yet. I will do that, thanks for the tip.
Btw.. if I don't install motherboard drivers first after the installation of windows is complete and like install the graphics card before the motherboard drivers, the onboard network card doesnt work. It gets no IP-address!
Well.. I think I'll just sell the computer parts and start a knitting club.

  • When did home sharing stop working

I used to use Home Sharing with iTunes but as of late it just won't work. I'm using a first generation iPad, iTunes 12.01.26, and Windows 8.1. I can close and reopen iTunes and it will show up temporarily but within minutes it's gone. It used to work flawlessly but some update killed it, either iTunes or Windows 8.1.
I've adjusted power settings on my PC so that it doesn't go into sleep mode, uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes, done a factory reset on my iPad, even done some tricks around IPV4 vs. IPV6 in my network settings. Nothing works.
I've looked all over the forums for some kind of solution but after awhile it just seems like Apple doesn't want to be bothered with finding out or fixing the problem so they created these forums so end users can figure it out amongst themselves.
I was considering getting a new iPad but one of the main features that attracted me was Home Sharing. If it's not going to work anymore there's no compelling reason for me to stay with Apple as I can get the other features I want from a similar Android tablet at half the price.
