LMS 4.2 -- Now Available -- Licensing?

Hi all,
I just discoverd that Cisco Prime LMS 4.2 is downloadable.
Does anybody of you know, whether 4.2 can be installed "over" 4.1 with license of LMS 4.1,
or do we have to obtain an new license for LMS 4.1 (as needed for upgrade LMS 4.01 to LMS 4.1).

A. CiscoWorks LMS 4.0 customers and Cisco Prime LMS 4.1 customers with active SAS contracts can obtain a no charge service release update to Cisco Prime LMS 4.2, which is part of the Cisco Prime Infrastructure bundle, through the Product Upgrade Tool at http://www.cisco.com/upgrade.
SAS does not cover major upgrades from LMS 2.x and 3.x; an upgrade part number will need to be purchased to move to Cisco Prime LMS 4.2. These upgrade part numbers reflect a significant discount to protect customers' investment in the Cisco Prime product line. Today we are releasing an update to Photoshop CC that includes new 3D printing features and enhancements designed to make it easier to create beautiful 3D printed designs and give you more printing options.

Getting the update:
Look for the update in the Creative Cloud application and click “Update”. If it doesn’t appear, you may need to quit and re-launch the Creative Cloud application.
If you don’t have the Creative Cloud application running, start Photoshop and choose Help > Updates.
The Adobe Application Manager will launch. Select Adobe Photoshop CC (2014) and choose Update.

It means the update for Photoshop 2014.1 and 2014.2 can only be installed with subscription licenses, but not on perpetual licenses (our case).
To workaround that, it would be needed to change
<TargetLicensingType>1</TargetLicensingType>
to
<TargetLicensingType>3</TargetLicensingType>
inside "UpdateManifest.xml"
But it would broken the signature of that file as recorded in "UpdateManifest.sig"
As an information, technically we have

Finally, I think only Adobe can fix this mess with PS update.

What's the licensing model?
There are three license choices for developers interested in creating applications using Project Looking Glass.
For developers who are interested in reviewing, revising, and redistributing the source code as part of their own application, Project Looking Glass has been submitted as an Open Source project on java.net under the GNU Public License, or GPL.
For developers who are interested in developing an application on top of the existing Project Looking Glass platform without reviewing and/or altering the code base, there is a binary version of the current state of the project available for download under a traditional Binary Code License. This is also available on java.net.
Finally, for developers or organizations interested in other uses or revising the source code but wish to keep their implementation and related application proprietary, please contact Sun at [email protected].

New version of the LabHSM Toolkit for Complex Event-Driven Development is Now Available!

A new version of the unique toolkit is now available for download. As announced earlier, LabHSM makes it possible to easily create and then maintain complex event-driven applications in LabVIEW as a collection of HSM-driven active object VIs using a higher level of abstraction and agile software development methodologies. These active object VIs are created based on a universal Hierarchical State Machine ( HSM or statechart ) template. Therefore, all your code looks similar regardless of its functionality!
So, what’s new in version 1.1?
• "No hands" block diagram modifications! Version 1.1 actually creates, renames, and removes actions on the block diagram as you define, rename, and remove them in the editor! (No, it can't fill in all the details for you, but it can do some, if you think ahead, by replicating similar actions.)
• Two new screens, Events Usage and Actions Usage, (available in licensed copies only) clearly show where (in which state(s)/transition(s)) and how (is it an entry action, exit action or event handling action?) a particular event or action is used. Moreover, if after selecting an instance on the list, the Go To button is pressed, it makes the main screen jump to respective location in the HSM structure. In the case of Actions Usage screen, the respective action is also displayed on the block diagram. Thus, these screens provide two more different cross-sections of the HSM data set and two additional ways to navigate it – now along the Actions and Events dimensions too instead of just the state tree in the first version.
• Version 1.1 can duplicate events or actions, which helps when you've got several that are similar. Changes in the events and actions lists are reflected immediately on the main screen and on the block diagram (which solves the previous problem of deleting a renamed event or action when it's still in use).
• The Events and Actions List Editors are no longer modal and neither are the Events and Actions Usage screens, so you can have all the panels and the block diagram visible and move freely among them as you build your HSM (a good argument for an even larger monitor).
• When you save an HSM file, version 1.1 automatically adds the .hsm extension if you leave it out and it remembers the last directory you used.
• The Loaded VIs utility now can open and close block diagrams (if they are not protected with a password) and display only VIs with modal front panels, if desired—useful for quickly finding and closing accidentally opened (e.g., from the hierarchy window) modal VIs. Make a modal version of this utility and keep it on the Desktop for this purpose.
• A new example of a simple hierarchical state machine and two more excellent tutorials from Paul F. Sullivan (SULLutions.com) are included into the package. The tutorials are also available online. The overview article has also been extended.

I am not really sure if Azure support this but its worth to make your configuration file to support .NET 4.0
$PShome\PowerShell_ISE.CONFIG and $PSHOME\PowerShell.exe.config will be not existing.
So you can make an entry in configuration to support .NET framework 4.0
like shown below

This new JHeadstart release is certified against both JDeveloper 9.0.5.1 and 9.0.5.2. You can now benefit the strong combination of the new versions of Oracle JDeveloper and JHeadstart.
What is Oracle JHeadstart?
JHeadstart is a development tool kit, fully integrated with JDeveloper, that enables rapid component based development of J2EE applications using the Model-View-Controller (MVC) design pattern. It provides customers with 4GL-like productivity without jeopardizing the flexibility and openness of the J2EE architecture. In addition it includes a bridge from Oracle Designer that enables customers to generate fully functioning J2EE applications from Oracle Designer or to migrate Oracle Forms to J2EE.
What is new in this release?
In addition to the certification mentioned above this release includes the following new features:

Photoshop CS6 (13.0.5/Mac 13.0.1.2/Win) Updates Now Available

Today was released Photoshop update version 13.0.5 (for Macintosh perpetual license customers) and 13.0.1.2 (for Windows perpetual license customers). This release corrects a number of issues.

However bugs reported over two years ago and acknowledge are still not fixed. Installation on Windows 7 or Vista
When you install an Xcelsius 2008 Service Pack or an Xcelsius 2008 Fix Pack run the installer as an administrator:
To do that right-click on setup.exe and select Run as administrator.
You will be asked if you want the setup program to make changes to your computer, select Yes.
When the installer finishes if you get the following warning This program may not have installed correctly then select Reinstall using recommended settings and the installer will run again.
Turn off User Account Control on Windows Vista
On Windows Vista only you must turn off User Account Control.
If you do not then the Add-On Manager and Export to AIR menu items will be disabled:
Go to START > Control Panel > User Accounts > Turn User Account Control on or off
How to run Xcelsius 2008 as an administrator (see below for when to run as an administrator):
Every time (recommended):
Go to START > All Programs > Xcelsius and right-click on Xcelsius 2008 and select Properties. In the Compatibility tab under Privilege Level select Run this program as an administrator
One time only:

When you run the self extracting file it asks you where to extract the files to and then extracts all of the necessary files. There can be a few minutes delay between extracting the files and the installer window displaying so please be patient.
After you have applied the Fix Pack the version number in the about box will be version: 5.3.3.0

Notes for installing and using Xcelsius 2008 on Windows 7 or Windows Vista
Support for Windows 7
Xcelsius 2008 Fix Pack 3.3 (FP3.3) is the first version of Xcelsius 2008 that supports Windows 7.
Make sure you apply Fix Pack 3.3 if you are using Windows 7.
Installation on Windows 7 or Vista
When you install an Xcelsius 2008 Service Pack or an Xcelsius 2008 Fix Pack run the installer as an administrator:
To do that right-click on setup.exe and select Run as administrator.
You will be asked if you want the setup program to make changes to your computer, select Yes.
When the Fix Pack 3.3 installer finishes if you get the following warning This program may not have installed correctly then select Reinstall using recommended settings and the installer will run again.
Turn off User Account Control on Windows Vista
On Windows Vista only you must turn off User Account Control.
If you do not then the Add-On Manager and Export to AIR menu items will be disabled:
Go to START > Control Panel > User Accounts > Turn User Account Control on or off
How to run Xcelsius 2008 as an administrator (see below for when to run as an administrator):
Every time (recommended):
Go to START > All Programs > Xcelsius and right-click on Xcelsius 2008 and select Properties. In the Compatibility tab under Privilege Level select Run this program as an administrator
One time only:
Go to START > All Programs > Xcelsius and right-click on Xcelsius 2008 and select Run as administrator.
When to run Xcelsius 2008 as an administrator:
Before you try to set or change the Xcelsius 2008 license key.
If you do not the license key will not be updated or you may get a message saying that the license key is invalid.
When you want to use the Add-on Manager to view add or remove add-ons (File > Manage Add-Ons).
If you do not the Add-on Manager may crash or freeze.
When you want to export to Adobe AIR
If you do not then Export to AIR may crash or freeze.

I "think" the easiest way to get PDF output at a cheap price is going to be PL/PDF (http://plpdf.com). It looks like it costs $500, and I don't see any other software requirements, since it works with mod_plsql.
The coccon and other "stuff" is free, but I don't know how difficult it is to get setup and running. I'm also not sure how much leeway you get in designing your output.
Since PL/PDF is generated by code you write with PL/SQL packages, I imagine that you can get some pretty customized output that would exactly fit your needs.
When I first heard Apex 3.0 would allow PDF output, I was hoping that there was some kind of unannounced deal where Oracle had bought the company and was going to include the PL/PDF packages as some of their "standard" packages, like DBMS_OUTPUT.
At least since they haven't done it yet, there may still be some hope that maybe someday they will, but then I don't see where that would really benefit the BI Publisher market, though I no idea how big that market is. It seems like quite a few Oracle shops aren't budgeted enough to get into that "niche", it's usually hard enough paying for the products already licensed.

The license agreement covering JSF and all other JCP based specifications require that we use this terminology and avoid the word "final." Once MyFaces passes the TCK we will be able to refer to our releases as final. This is one of the reasons why we initially pulled the release announcement from the website a few days ago. But the release is official now and is available through your nearest Apache mirror. Enjoy!

Adobe Digital Editions 1.7 is now available for download from http://www.adobe.com/products/digitaleditions
There are two new features for this release:
- Language support - an additional 8 languages:
Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese (Traditional), Chinese (Simplified), Korean, Dutch, and Portuguese (Brazilian)

First it's not the .acsm files that you want to convert. The .acsm files are just temporary purchase tokens to start the download and licensing of the real pdf or epub file. It's that file (either pdf or epub) that has all the content, however it is protected with ACS4 DRM and as such can only be viewed by ADE or by supported device such as the Sony Reader 505 or 700. While there are quite of few of our device customer that are coming out with new devices and software, none of the have announced plans for supporting PalmOS.

* The reverse mapping tool has additional options for using foreign
key names to generate relation names, generating primitive wrapper-type
fields if a column is nullable, and allowing primary keys on many-to-many
join tables.
Bugfixes
* Fixed problems with many-to-many relations between tables that use
vertical inheritance.
* Fixed bug in schematool that caused it to not generate primary key
columns in subclass tables when using datastore identity + custom
names + vertical inheritance.
* Fixed serp library conflict between reverse mapping tool and main Kodo
libraries.
* Fixed a reverse mapping tool bug in which column names that conflicted with
Java keywords would result in the generation of uncompilable Java classes.
* Fixed problem that caused read-only flag to be ignored in many-to-many
relations.
* Multi-table inheritance deletes are now performed from the leaf table
in the inheritance chain up to the base table. Inserts are performed

the AFKDO v2.0 has been in use for only a few months by three people, so I expect that you will quickly find bugs, especially in installation. The main tools (makeotf, spot, tx) will work well once you get them running. Down-load only if you are an early adopter person; otherwise you might do better to wait for another month or so. This is the version that the Adobe Type Dept is using, but we are, of course, only working with a handful of different fonts at one time.

1. If you already have a licensed copy of Aperture in your Applications folder, you need to move or rename it before installing the Aperture 2 trial.  
2. To open an existing Aperture 1.x library with Aperture 1.5 after you've run the Aperture 2 trial, drag the library onto the Aperture 1.5 application. If you open an existing library with the Aperture 2 trial, you’ll be prompted to permanently “upgrade” the library and you will subsequently require Aperture 2. Don't upgrade your existing library unless you plan to continue using Aperture 2.  
3. To use a previous version of Aperture after installing the trial, you may need to reauthorize it with your original Aperture 1.x serial number.
