LMS3.2/Campus5.2.1/UT: device selector empty when generate reports
Hi,
Customer has LMS 3.2 on windows. He has an issue on UT when he wants to generete a report, device selector is empty.
User Tracking -> Reports -> Report Generator:
* Application : Switch Port Report
* Report : Reclaim Unused Down
He has the same issue (device selector empty) with :
- Campus Manager >> Configuration >> VLAN Configuration
- Campus Manager >> Reports >> Report Generator >> Switch Port Report + Switch Port Summary
- Campus Manager >> Visualization >> RMON Configuration
I didn't find bug in BugID Lookup Tool.
Which logs could give me information for this issue ?

This sounds like a problem with Object Grouping Services where Campus OGS is not able to communicate with CMF OGS.
The shortest solution might be to just restart LMS, wait 15 minutes and then check again.
If that does not help,
1) Enable OGS debugging for both Campus and CMF
NMSROOT = C:\progra~1\CSCOpx or /opt/CSCOpx (unix)
NMSROOT/MDC/tomcat/webapps/cwhp/WEB-INF/classes/log4j-ogs.properties
NMSROOT/MDC/tomcat/webapps/campus/WEB-INF/classes/log4j-ogs.properties
Change ALL instances of FATAL, ERROR, WARN, and INFO to DEBUG.
(might want to back these files up first, you will want to change them back when finished)
2) Restart LMS (wait 5 mins betweens stop/start)
windows
> net stop crmdmgtd
> net start crmdmgtd
unix
# /etc/init.d/dmgtd stop
# /etc/init.d/dmgtd start
3) Reproduce the problem
4) Collect Log files in
C:\progra~1\CSCOpx\log or /var/adm/CSCOpx/log (unix)

CMFOGSClient.log
CMFOGSServer.log
5) Open a case with TAC

Not able to select "all devices" in device selector
I am having a problem selecting "all devices" in device selector in most cases in lms4.1. When selecting "all devices" it show up zero. Instead i have to choose "device type groups" and this takes about half a minute to show up. In some cases I am able to select it, but in most cases I am not. For instance :
Reports > Inventory > Management Status>Credential Verification ErrorsHi
The problem is now solved. But I had to do alot of reinstalling of lms to fix this. In our case it seemed like there was some sort error when importing devices from file when upgrading to a new release of lms 4.1. and 4.2 which we are now running.
I also had the same assumptions as you when it came to the domain. And this was also the reply I got from TAC.
To solve this I had to first delete all devices from the new lms installation that had some sort of fail under "inventory -> device status" Either not supported, faulty backup og not able to collect inventory. Then I did a export devices under "add/import/manage devices". Then I returned to a previous snapshot of the server from before I imported the devices the first time and then imported the devices that are 100% compatible again.
Now i am manually adding the devices that where first deleted.
In our case it might have been sufficient to just delete the devices with faults, but I cannot confirm this.
Now I have not seen this issue for 4 days, and earlier I had to restart the server every day. So I am very hopeful
This issue appeared when we first tried to upgrade from lms3.2 to lms4.1. And we used an import file of the devices instead of the backup from from lms. When we also tried to upgrade to 4.2 this issue still came back. We have installed lms4.2 on a standalone server with VMware and the linux versjon. -
No matter what, I cant get the Device Selector to become active in Netbeans

I also tried to install netbeans and Java Me, and got stuck on the same problem as Vinnie: the menu item `Device Selector` is grayed besides most other items in the same menu.
The grayed menu items in menu Netbeans/Tools/Java ME are:
WMA Console,
Java ME SDK Update Center,
Custom Device Skin Creator
Active Device Manager
The only one that is not grayed is: 'Device Database Search'.
I made sure the device_manager is running. You asked Vinnie to run emulator.exe from the commandline. I did and it outputs the help instructions.
I like to provide you with the log files, but how to do that? They are quite big! Dou you want me to paste the contens of the files in here?

NetConfig vs Device Selector/Task Selector
Hi,
I just updated my 3.2 with the latest RME package: rme4_3_1_win
After doing so, now when trying to run a "Device Based" NetConfig job I get the "Task Selector" information in the "Device Selector" window.
Any ideas?
I attached picture which shows the problem.I haven't seen that before. This could be due to some bad cached compiled JSP files. Shutdown Daemon Manager, then delete all files and directories under NMSROOT/MDC/tomcat/work/Standalone/localhost. Then restart Daemon Manager, and see if that fixes it.

How do I clean up mail in my icloud? I have already deleted old mail (from all my e-mail accounts) on all devices, and emptied the junk & deleted files, but it still shows that I am at max on my icloud. What do I do to free up space? (photos & apps do not take up that much room). When I go to manage storage on any device & it will display how much room each program or app is using, it still shows that my e-mail is taking up the most room. Is there a way to actually log on to the icloud server to manage what it stored there? If so, how do I do it? Also, on a related subject, why does my mail not sync accross all devices? ie. when I delete an email on one device, why do I still see it on all my other devices? How can I change this?
I have an iphone5, ipad2, ipod 4th gen, ipod 3rd gen, all running on my same apple id - but I have a PC not a Mac home computer - is this part of the problem? Looking to upgrade to a Mac sometime this year...

Mail is backed up automatically. If you make backups automatically, open Mail application and then, open the Time Machine app (in /Applications/Utilities). You will access to the Time Machine interface, and you will be able to see all your mails of all the backups you have, and you will be able to restore them. - Try restoring the iPod, first from backup and then try to factory settings/new iPod to rule out a software problem.
- Look at the dock connector on the iPod. Look for abnormalities like bent or corroded contacts, foreign material and broken or cracked plastic.
- Could you have damaged something when you took the iPod apart and replaced the Home button? -
[SOLVED]Video device file switches when starting Motion in daemon mode
I am not sure whether this should be here or in Kernel and Hardware.
Motion live stream shows gray frame which says "Unable to open video device" and /var/log/errors.log gives:
Failed to open video device /dev/video0: No such file or directory
Could not fetch initial image from camera
Motion continues using width and height from config file(s)
When I plug my Philips SPC1300NC webcam in it shows up as a recognized usb device, both by lsusb and under /dev. Initially it comes in as /dev/video0, but after running motion the device file is /dev/video1. If I kill motion, the device file still being video 1, and edit the configuration file (/etc/motion/motion.conf) to use /dev/video1 instead of /dev/video0 the device file name changes back when I start motion. It is always opposite of whatever I have in the configuration file.

SOLUTION
I wasn't thinking about the draw for the camera and was trying to just have it powered through the usb on a raspberry pi (need a powered usb hub). I am not sure however why the device file switches when there is not enough power, so if you come across this an know please post a reply.

Use a different iCloud account on each device.
Don't use iCloud at all.
Disable Bluetooth.
Don't connect to the same wi-fi network on all the devices.
Go to Settings > FaceTime and turn it off.
Go to Settings > FaceTime on the devices and disable 'iPhone Cellular Calls'.
Any of these will work, but the last one is probably best. -
NIO - Selector problem - when using more than one in same application

I'm developing a multiplayer-server, which shall be able to handle at least 2000 concurrent clients. To avoid the use of 4000 threads for 2000 clients (a thread for each stream), I would like to use NIO.
Problem:
The server has of course a ServerSocketChannel registered with a Selector, and when clients connects, the SocketChannel's is received. IF these channels is registered (OP_READ) with the same Selector-instance as the ServerSocketChannel, there is no problem and the Selector recognizes when a registered SocketChannel is ready for OP_READ - BUT when the received SocketChannels is registered with another Selector-instance than the one the ServerSocketChannel is registered with, the Selector NEVER recognizes, when a SocketChannel is ready for OP_READ - why not and how do I solve the problem? Only one thread can service the same Selector-instance, and when both receiving many connections and read/write, this could easily be a bottleneck
Following is the used code; 2 classes: ClientListener (has a ServerSocketChannel registered with a Selector) and ClientHandler (has another Selector where the SocketChannels is registered and a thread-pool that services all the SocketChannels, when they are ready for read/write):

Can you unlock an apple device on icloud lock and reported stolen be unlock?
My Ipad was stolen and I icloud locked it right away, when I reported lost/stolen on icloud, I was able to track it down for about 30 minutes, but then I guess the person who had it turned it off, my question is, if the device is locked with Icloud, can anyone unlock it, and if it is not possible to unlock it, what is the use of having locked right?

5 days ago received email warning that iCloud storage was almost full & syncing betwn devices would stop when it reached 5GB.Bought 10GB more, to my amazement the storage only a few minutes later is 10.26 out of the 15GB available.How is that possible?
My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now. About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

System is a custom build, based off an ASUS A8N-SLI Premium, with two GTX7800 display cards. in a SLI configuration
Fresh installation fo Windows XP Profesional with SP3 slipstreamed.
Origional CD fails to detect the card, claiming a supported device is not present.
This card has worked prevously, and is verified as fully functional in windows Vista. ?
Please note Windows Vista can not be used.
I have tried about 30 different versions of the drivers (each on a clean installation) and used both clean and dirty boots, and nothing is working.
Before anyone points me at other threads in this forum, please note i have been scouring this forum for the past week trying every sugestion there is, and I have raised a ticket with Creative (who despite the prommise of a 2 day responce, have yet to respond)
I have tired multiple versions of the NForce drivers, NVidia display drivers, Creative Drivers, Bios updates, Chipset hacks and more.
does anyone hav a sugestion that is not already posted on this forum.Tried it on one of the spare PC's in the house earlier (Nforce 2 based) - still no recognition of the card whatsoever, it's as if it doesn't exist.
I'm guessing that the card is pretty much toasted eh?

Please help! I can power the device off but when i try to unlock the screen its like it cant feel my finger tracing over my unlock design, thus I cannot sign into itunes to download what i have before I possibly loose everything My warranty is expired and I dont know if there is any other solution before I dump a bunch of money into this devise. - Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
