LMS4.0.1 Nexus 5020 - internal error in inventory collection

Hello,
2 Nexus 5020 (SysObjId ...3.719) brings internal error in inventory collection as following:
"RICS0001: Internal Error, unable to process the collected data from the device"
whereby 2 other devices from same type, same sysobjid are working well. SDT from v401 shows this device as supported.
What can we do?
Steffen

Hi Steffen,
Try updating the MDF and device packages for RME first and check the issue..
If you have not applied the below patch before ,kindly apply this :
Download the Patch for this BUg from cisco.com and apply it ..I hope that should take care of the issue.
CSCto46927    Psu support changes from CCO to SPRIT
lms40x-win-CSCto46927-0.zip (For windows)
lms40x-sol-CSCto46927-0.tar (For solaris)
Thanks

  • An internal error has occurred: *** Collection __NSArrayM: 0x610006051700 was mutated while being enumerated.

Doing a file export and i got this message..... it all sounds very exciting..but don't know what it means

It means you are running MacOS 10.10 and have hit a very common bug in the OS open/save dialogs, and that OS internal error bubbled back up into the application.
Apple is aware of this bug and working on a solution.
In the meantime, some people have avoided the problem by changing the view type (list, icons, etc.) in the OS open/save dialog.

I've got the following error in Inventory Collection: 'RICS0001:Internal Error, unable to process the collected data from the device.'

Well known issue in LMS 2.6. Most likely you are hitting CSCsm97530. As a temporary solution you could remove and re-add problematic device from CS. To get a permanent fix you need a patch (provided by TAC).

  • Inventory Collection internal command

Which command is used internally to obtain Inventory
Collection? I have seen some targets are not detected....
    Thanks

For example, in Inventory I can't see target's as 1000 Base SX SFP or 100Base FXSFP or VWIC2-2MFT-G703 or HWIC-1ADSL . Should they appear? or only devices that supports SNMP? I'm not sure how does it work...
    Thanks.

  • VFC is down Nexus 5020 Nexus 4001i

    Hi All,
I am very new to Nexus 4001 and facing a problem related to its configuartion.
The topology involves IBM HS22 blade server with Qlogic dual port CNA, Nexus 4001, Nexus 5020, MDS 9513 and EMC storage.
I have done the configuration related to fip snooping in Nexus 4k and FCoE configurations in Nexus 5k.
The problem is that i am not able to get the enode mac address when i am running the command "show fip-snooping vlan-discovery".
also i am not able to make the vFC up in Nexus 5k.
I can upload the configuartions if needed.
Kindly suggest your comments or any solution.
FYI: All licenses are installed in Nexus 4k and 5k and FCoE and CNA drivers are installed in IBM server.
    Thanks in advance,
    Sanjeev

If the show mac-address is not showing any src mac being learnt in native vlan indicates server is not sending FIP messages.  The output you provided does confirm this  theory, see the marked output in bold which has value of zero.:
    Interface Name    Counter Desciption                                Value
    Ethernet1/1       Unicast packets received                          0

Packets dropped due to unsupported tlv            0
Packets dropped due to fcmap mismatch             0
Based on the output you provided it looks to be a CNA issue, the  next step would be working with vendor to ensure Datacenter Bridging is working correctly.  Do you have OS loaded on local disk  or trying to boot from san?

  • DCNM 6.1.1a and Nexus 5020

    Hi all,
I've got a problem that I am not able to figure out.
    I've got 2 nexus 5020 running
    Software
      system:    version 5.0(2)N2(1)
      system image file is:    bootflash:/n5000-uk9.5.0.2.N2.1.bin
    Hardware
      cisco Nexus5020 Chassis ("40x10GE/Supervisor")
I use Nagios for management and so far, everything is working fine. Since a couple of days, I was thinking to install dcnm 6.1.1a on a red hat linux to test the app and see what can I do with the nexus. The problem is that every time that I try to work with the DCNM app, the CPU goes up a lot.
The show process cpu history is the following:

Could SNMP be the cause of this high CPU? How could I confirm it? Maybe it is a bug but I could not find anything.
Any ideas or comments are welcomed!
    THanks in advance,
    Fernando

Just to close this thread, we saw that the average cpu utilization is 10%. The CPU spikes might be due to the polling time or some cosmetic output. There is no output error, no discards, no traffic loss.
    thanks in advance,
    Fernando

  • Connecting two Nexus 5020 with 10G ISL link

    Hi Experts,
I am trying to connect two nexus 5020 with a 10G ISL link.
Per my understanding, with new release 5.0.3 N2(2a) ISL link between two nexus switch is supported.
    Following is my config
    c5020-1(config)# show running-config int vfc 32
    !Command: show running-config interface vfc32
    !Time: Fri Dec  2 01:14:38 2011

      switchport trunk allowed vsan 3040
      no shutdown
    c5020-1(config)#
    c5020-1(config)# sho running-config int eth1/32
    !Command: show running-config interface Ethernet1/32
    !Time: Fri Dec  2 01:16:15 2011
    version 5.0(3)N2(2a)
    interface Ethernet1/32
      switchport mode trunk
      spanning-tree port type edge trunk
    c5020-1(config)#
I have similar config on the other switch. But for some reason the link does not come up. vfc port keep "initializing" and Eth port stays isolated.
    c5020-1(config)# sh int vfc32
vfc32 is trunking (Not all VSANs UP on the trunk)
        Bound interface is Ethernet1/32

    c5020-1(config)# sh int eth1/32 fcoe
    Ethernet1/32 is FCoE Isolated
    c5020-1(config)#
If any expert throw some light to make me understand things better will be helpful.

i have not connected two Nexus before but looking at your eth 1/32 interfaces ..do you think it needs to be "
switchport trunk allowed vlan" your "FCOE" VLAN ?

If the termination type was RABAX_STATE, then you can find more information on the cause of the termination in the system SSS in transaction ST22.
If the termination type was ABORT_MESSAGE_STATE, then you can find more information on the cause of the termination on the application server PUNHJWSAPSRM_SSS_00 in transaction SM21.
If the termination type was ERROR_MESSAGE_STATE, then you can search for more information in the trace file for the work process 1 in transaction ST11 on the application server PUNHJWSAPSRM_SSS_00 . In some situations, you may also need to analyze the trace files of other work processes.
If you do not yet have a user ID, contact your system administrator.

HTTP 500 - Internal Server Error
Your SAP Internet Communication Framework Team

    Hi Amol,
First of all the sicf transaction is to be used only if you use the internal ITS.
Now you have to put an external breakpoint in the source code of the ABAP Program or FM you want to debug , one of these in your case :
    Function: B40B_READ_TABLE of program SAPLBBP_BD_DRIVER_40B
    Function: META_READ_TABLE of program SAPLBBP_BD_META_BAPIS
    Form: LOCATIONS_READ of program SAPLBBP_ATTR_F4
    Function: BBP_ATTR_F4_SLOC_PPOMA of program SAPLBBP_ATTR_F4
    Form: STG_LOC_GET_FOR_LOCATION of program SAPLBBP_SC_APP
    Form: STG_LOC_GET of program SAPLBBP_SC_APP
    Form: LOCATION_STG_LOC_GET of program SAPLBBP_SC_APP
    Form: USER_ATTRIBUTES_GET of program SAPLBBP_SC_APP
Then launch the transaction in IE, once the program reaches a breakpoint, you'll get the ABAP debuger in IE.
    Regards.
PS: if it doesn't work, put the parameter ~generatedynpro in BBPGLOBAL service to have it applied to all BBP transactions

  • Error while transporting objects:Internal error during pvc call: Parameter

    Dear all,
We are facing the following error while transporting the individual configuration objects from our PI development system.
Export failed: Internal error during pvc call: Parameter versionSpecifier or version has the invalid value null .
However, it works fine when the complete configuration scenario is transported.
We tried to transport the objects with different user id's, even then the issue still exists.
Any inputs to resolve this will be highly helpful.
    Thank you,
    Younus

    Hi Mohammed,
Answer is inside this oss [Note 1554387 - Error during export from Integration Directory|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1554387]. In this oss note, solution is to apply a patch (just a patch, not a SP). as it's a litle sap bug...
Note: your issue is also explained with picture in this one "1550549 - PI transport: Internal error during pvc call" (sorry for this one I cannot insert a link)

    NO!
SuSe 6.2 have a patch file for Oracle made from their developers.
Never use Oracle 8.1.5.0.1 patch file that doesn't work because
    us bugged.
Use SuSe 6.2 Oracle patch set.
(don't remember the web page where you can download it but a
search with word "oracle" from SuSe homepage will lead you to
    it)

The answer from local Nokia Care Pointwas: “if you hit the phone it might be the reason for this problems and we arenot responsible for warranty void for your Nokia phone blah blah – of course Idid not hit or throw the phone but never mind – the just don’t care. Thisproblems was described in details to Nokia Care Point Finland and the answerwas … “ we are very sorry, but you need to make a connection with your localNokia Care Point” ha ha – thank you very much, they were so helpful ! That’swhy I don’t want to call or connect Nokia anymore – no help at all! Sorry ifthis information is not good for you, but it is true! Don’t believed it : check THREAD ID:1-4N513T0 from 06.January and THREAD ID:1-4N0DM6A from 05. January. That’s why I need User help, notNokia help.
