LMS4.1 aggregated duplicate MAC-Report

Hello,
We want to quickly identify ports with probably attached mini-switches/hubs. Does a report type exist in LMS4.1 showing duplicate MACs aggregated with its count of occourence, not line by line?
Is it planed to bring out basic aggragate functions (avg,min,max,sum,count) into LMS/PI Report-Generator to be able for a real flexible reporting without the need for accessing database directly?

I can't disagree with your logic, I guess I just assumed such an enterprise solution (that is FAR from cheap) wouldn't require an export of my close to 20,000 records to a .csv in order to do simple sorting.
I will continue to look for a solution within the application, but if worse comes to worse i guess an export could suffice for some of what i'm trying to do.

Duplicate MACS

When I run the duplicate MAC report from CM the report shows over 2,500 duplicate MAC addresses on our network.
I'm sure this isn't correct as the MACs that are showing as duplicates show twice on the same port (once on the voice vlan and once on the native vlan)
Is this a bug? Is there a way to fix this? I've attached an example from the report.

I've looked into this a bit further today and can now confirm that 99% of the reported duplicates are infact IP Phones. There are a few of PC's and Servers reported as duplicates but these can be explained (ie, clustered servers, etc). I'm still not sure why the IP Phones are being reported as duplicated though?
When I do a "show mac address table int fa0/xx" on a switch I get the output below.
Vlan    Mac Address       Type           Ports
109    000b.fd5d.f173    DYNAMIC     Fa0/14
217    000b.fd5d.f173    DYNAMIC     Fa0/14
000b.fd5d.f173 is an IP Phone
VLAN 109 is the data VLAN
VLAN 217 is the Voice VLAN
Is there away that I can prevent these appearing as duplicates so the report can be more accurate?

"The results are displayed at the end of the report."
There is a simple method to print the results of aggregation to the report footer on each page?

For making this I create on-Demand process for calculation results of aggregation (using APEX_IR_PKG) and make ajax request to him in "After Refresh" event of IR.

Duplicate MAC Addresses effect

Hi All,
I have a query regarding the entry of duplicate MAC entries in switch. I tried issuing the following command:-
Switch(config)#mac address-table static 0007.e9f6.4fd2 vlan 1 interface fa0/2
Switch(config)#mac address-table static 0007.e9f6.4fd2 vlan 1 interface fa0/3
And after issuing the command, the resultant MAC table was as follows:-
1 0007.e9f6.4fd1 STATIC Fa0/2 Fa0/3
What does this signify. Where would a packet destined to this MAC address reach (I mean the port that it will reach)
Does it mean that there could be Network Load Balancing?

It will reach to the port where the end system is connected.u just deifined the mac-address as static on two ports u will not connect the end system to two ports so on the port which u r end system will connected will be up/up and on the port which the end system is not connected it will be in down state.hope i am correct in this if not plz correct me.

BEA-473225: Aggregator rejected statistics reported by server...

I am getting occasional errors and warnings associated with the WLI-Monitoring Runtime subsystem in my WebLogic logs supporting my ALSB installation. Errors and warnings include:
BEA-473224 Aggregator did not receive statistics from...
BEA-473225 Aggregator rejected statistics reported by...
BEA-473233 Timer (checkpoint) has been triggered...
I could not find reference to these errors in any message manual. Can anyone provide additional insigt into what these messages indicate?

I am using ALSB version 2.6. Of the three errors (warnings) mentioned in my original post, the one occurring most often is BEA-473233. I see this warning just about every two hours. About once or twice a day it does seem to work and no warning message is generated. The other two messages (BEA-473224 and BEA-473225) have shown up about 12 times each in the last 2 weeks.
I did find reference to these messages in the ALSB documentation, but their description is a bit thin. The messages appear to indicate some sort of communcation issue between the managed servers, but I cannot detect any adverse impact from these messages. There is no other indication of communication issues between the managed servers in the cluster that I can see.

WGM - Can't add computers due to duplicate MAC address

Hello all,
I'm having a problem with 10.5.4 Server where once a computer is deleted from WGM it can't be added back. WGM gives an error message about duplicate MAC addresses. It appears that, although the deleted computer is no longer listed, the MAC address and name seem to still either be cached or in the database.

Saw you have no replies yet... did you ever get this issue figured out?
It's a shot in the dark, but years back we used to get zombie Macs (er, MACs) that would not show up in the list of computers, but were "still in the system" as a damaged record. Try enabling the "All Records" tab from the WGM prefs and searching for the computer record there, within the "Computers" list. If you can find them, deleting them should allow you to add them back in normally.

Duplicate MAC Addresses?

Has anyone experienced duplicate MAC addresss issues with the UCS-B/6120 connected to a 6500? I'm seeing the following on my 6500:
6506#sh arp | inc 0025
Internet 10.1.79.60             0   0025.b501.0005 ARPA   Vlan210
Internet 10.1.79.62             4   0025.b501.0007 ARPA   Vlan210
Internet 10.1.79.98            51   0025.b501.0005 ARPA   Vlan210
I checked my profiles and they appear to each have a uniquely assigned MAC address.   The correct entry is 10.1.79.60 and the 6120 should be replying with 0025.b501.006 for 10.1.79.98.
Anyone got any thoughts on how to correct this issue?

There is nothing wrong with what you're seeing. It's acceptable to have N IP addresses resolve to 1 MAC
address. That is the case with secondary IP addresses for instance, Proxy-ARPing, "plumb" interfaces, etc.

Duplicate Post Report Rejected

On Aug. 28th I used the "Report this post" facility to report a post as a duplicate of one posted three minutes before. This morning I received to my mac.com account e-mail that my report had been rejected. Included was this text: "delivery temporarily suspended: host mail-in6.apple.com[17.254.13.9] refused to talk to me: 554 Open proxy list. Review your server settings."
Something seems to be broken.

Vendor duplicate payment-Report

I have an requirement to develop a report that can tell about vendor duplicate payment considering Partial payment and residual payment and full payment.Is there any standard report available ? O r I have to develop a new Custom report.If Custom report that how can i do this ?

I think it is not satisfy your requirement, better to develop customized report by using tables BSIK,BSAK,BKPF

Duplicate Payment Report - AP

Standard Extractor 0FI_AP_4 brings data from BSIK and BSAK.
you should be able to query data from InfoProviders based on this data source.
You might be able to use standard DSO 0FIAP_O03 for this.
If you have two or more clearing documents with the same invoice number, you might have some partial payments or duplicate payments.
You might want to involve your busienss users to find out the exact criteria to identify duplicate payments. It will be lot easier to meet the requirements if you try to understand the functional requirements from the business and then locate the fields that are needed for this purpose and try to come up with the correct logic for this.

Aggregation issue Bex report

I am facing the following aggregation issue at reporing level. BW system 3.5
Cube1
Material, Company code, Cost center, Material, Month,   Volume KF
Cube2
Material, Company code, Cost center, Material, Month,   Price KF
Multi provider
Material, Company code, Cost center, Material, Month,   Volume KF, Price KF
Report
- Global Calculated key figure 'Value' is based on basic KF's Volume KF, Price KF
- Time of aggregation is set to " Before aggregation" in propery of Calculated Key Figure.
- There is only one characteristics 'Company code' is used in report.
When, I execute this report, Calculated KF is not working (No values), If I change Time of aggregation " After aggregation" in propery of Calculated Key Figure, then It works but wrong values.Price gets aggregated(add ups) and multiply with Volume which is wrong.
Can you please give me a Ideal solution to resolve this.

Different colors for the aggregation in the report

In my BEx report I require to show the aggregation in different colors.
That is suppose my report has 3 characteristics and 2 keyfigures. When the 'Result' appears for characteristic1 it should be shown in blue color(not specific) and when the result appears for characteristic2 it should be shown in red color and when result appears for characteristic3 it should be shown in green color and similarly.
Has any one already implemented this?

But this is not what I am looking for.
I require the result rows in different colors.
Suppose the result row is based on aggregation of Characteristic 3 then the result row should appear in blue color.
Suppose the result row is based on aggregation of Characteristic 2 then the result row should appear in green color. and so on.

DATA AGGREGATION ISSUE IN REPORT

when we were running query by selcting the the version . the data is aggregation dono where it went rong
Explanation :
we alredy loaded data with version for the year 2010.. we started laoding from April 2010 to March 2011.. as 12 fiscal periods, with 53 versiions. here version means week(1to53 weeks for year ) but we started laoding from April means 14th week of year 2010. to March 2011. til here no probelm with data every thing is matching in the report/
now the turn comes for laoding data from April 2011..Again 14 version came which is alredy in system for April 2010
now what is happening ..
when we laod data for 14 week of 2011 (April). data is Aggregating or some mixxing up with data..
so what we had done is we had added calyear in the filter so that user can see only the data for version with respective year.
even though data is Aggregation with previous year(2010) for the same version alredy in system ..
nothing is working outt..
can u pls sugest us , any probelm in the back end , need to do any changes for modelling ..
till now what we had done is deleating the data from cube and dso for April2010 for 14 version and laoding data for April 20110 with version 14 . which is toatlay new version in system.
So this Keep on continuying every time..when data not matching.
now for the Month May with version 20 we have to laod the same probelm should not repeat .
pls help with your valuable sugestion detailly.
And this forecast summary report , we have data for next 2 years. planning is doing for every 2 years from currentt date

is your data stored in a cube or DSO? If it is DSO - is version and period / calmonth a key field?
what type of key figure are you using and what is the aggregation rule for this key figure - in the infoobject definition and in the query definition?
is there anything unusual in the definition of your version characteristic? any compounding?
Why did you not use 0calweek?
