LMSInitialise error from ADL when launching captivate course

I have seen several users talking about getting LMSInitialise error when launching course using ADL SCORM 1.2 test suite
We are also getting the same errors. We use same setup to test our otehr SCORM conformance pkgs. So I dont think its a set up problem
We are using captivate 4.0, on windows xp. SCORM 1.2 comformance test passes fine. And course launches fine too. Just gives LMSInitialise error

This issue can probably be solved by changing your Flash player security settings:
Get some Flash content playing in your browser. Any Flash animation will do. Go e.g. to www.adobe.com.
Right-click on the animation, you will get the Flash context menu. SelectSettings.
You will get a little menu.
Click the Advanced button. This will bring you to an Adobe Web site.
In the table of contents on the left, click Global Security Settings Panel. This will show you a panel.
Add the location where your ADL TestSuite software is installed to the trusted locations. The location of the TEST SUITE software, not the location of your zip file or your content files. Those get copied automatically to a TestSuite subfolder when you run the test.
Close all your browser windows and re-run the test.

Error message (-41110) when launching Itunes

I have just downloaded the latest version of Itunes (or rather the latest update). And now I get an error message when i lauch Itunes: -(41110).
However, it does not prevent me from actually using Itunes. It's just an error box that appears when Itunes is launched. Any idea?

User of TCS- getting error when launching Captivate

I am a TCS user, which comes with Captivate. I have been
using FM and RoboHelp for sometime now... and now we want to start
using Captivate. When I go to launch Captivate off my start menu, I
am unable to do so- I get this error: "This Product is already
installed as a component of Adobe Technical Suite Installer. If you
want to install it as an individual product please remove it from
Suite." My only choice is OK, so I choose that. Then it tries to
configure Captivate with the little installer ICON, the message
re-appears, I click OK, and the whole thing does this about 3 times
until it closes.
I am able to launch Captivate out of FrameMaker- but again,
when I try to save a project, start a new one, etc. I get the same
error message and same cycle. I need some help please! Everything
else in TCS seems to be working correctly...

Error running SendMail when launch application from JNI

Hello,
I am getting the following exception when I try to send email using JavaMail. This error began happening when we upgraded to Java 1.6. It does not happen with earlier versions of Java.
javax.mail.SendFailedException: Sending failed;
nested exception is:
javax.mail.MessagingException: IOException while sending message;
nested exception is:
javax.activation.UnsupportedDataTypeException: no object DCH for MIME type multipart/mixed; boundary="----=_Part_0_2882193.1230049431911"
I have browsed through the forums and read the many postings with a similar error. I have tried the variety of suggestions, but nothing seems to work. My understanding is the JAF is included in Java 1.6, so we should not need the activation.jar in our classpath anymore. Even so I have tried with and without the activation.jar in the classpath. I do not think it is a class loader issue because we do not build any of this into our application. It is all referenced in jar files on the classpath.
The interesting thing is that I can launch the application with a normal JVM launch and it works just fine. The error only occurs when I launch the application from a C++ application using JNI. In both cases I am using the exact same classpath. The error occurs whether I include activation.jar in the classpath or not.
I have tried to programmatically add the MIME types using the MailCommandMap class, but this had no effect.
The most recent test I ran was to put the activation.jar and mail.jar files in my C:\Java\jre6\lib\endorsed directory. This actually cleared up the error. This is not a viable solution for us, but it leads me to believe the .mailcap file is not being loaded correctly for some reason. I just cannot figure out what the issue could be as it seems to be associated with JNI.

Because JAF is now part of the JDK, the JAF classes are loaded by the system class loader
instead of the application class loader. If the thread's context class loader is not set, JAF
uses its class loader to load the mailcap files. Since JavaMail's mailcap file is in mail.jar,
and mail.jar is still loaded by the application class loader, the system class loader can't
find JavaMail's mailcap file.
Normally, when starting the application using the "java" command, the thread's context
class loader will be set to the application's class loader. This may not be happening
automatically when starting the application with JNI.

Firewall warning when launching Captivate 8 on a Windows 8 machine

Just installed Captivate on a 64bit machine with windows 8.1. I keep getting a firewall warning dialogue each time I launch the program. How do I make it stop???

I was having this same issue with Cp8 in Windows 7. I contacted TCS support and they helped me solve it for me. I asked if they would be willing to reply here with a link to download the fix, but they said "We don’t know, when we will be providing the link to the file, however we will be updating about the same on our forum and hopefully can come up with the link to the file shortly."
However they don't have an issue with me posting it, so here it is.
In C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 8\SWF_Components\ws rename CivitWEb.exe to CivitWeb_bak.exe, or move it to your desktop.
Download CivitWeb.txt from my Dropbox.
Move the .txt version to the \ws folder above and change the .txt extension to .exe.
Launch Captivate.
Once I placed the file, I no longer got the firewall warnings, and no more buildup of cp session folders. I was also having an issue with browser previews not working, but this filefixed that too. They said that with this file in place, Edge Inspect preview wouldn't work, but it is working for me.
Hopefully this will help others until Adobe has an official update or fix. I don't know if it will work with Windows 8. Of course this is at your own risk. Good luck.

Error 150:30 when launching. Can't fix the issue

Migrated PS4 to a new iMac running Yosemite. When launching PS receive an error message 150:30.
Discarded Flexfolder from the library preferences file. That file no long exists, but the 150:30 error continues.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Please activate all BEx Web templates (BTMP) that begin with '0'. Please activate all Reusable Web items (BITM) which' begin 'with '0'. After this you should restart the J2EE Engine. This will solve your problems.
Regarding the note - It means that the issue "Object 'BTMP:0ANALYSIS_PATTERN' refers to the invalid object 'QU:" can be ignored now. This error message will not come in SP14 (whenever its released).

"An unexpected error occurred (error code -43)" when launching Time Machine

Hi! When attempting to launch Time Machine, I get the following error:
The operation could not be completed
An unexpected error occurred (error code -43)
My machine is a 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon running 10.5.8
What's strange is that Time Machine DID work just the other day. It would launch automatically when I plugged in my external HD (Maxtor One Touch) though I didn't set it up to back up yet. After I reformatted the drive to Mac OS Extended (Journaled), Time Machine started giving me this error and won't launch. Any ideas here? Thanks!

When you reformatted, it got a new UUID (Universally Unique IDentifier), which may be confusing Time Machine. Try just reselecting it, per +Time Machine Preferences.+
If that doesn't help, try a "full reset" of Time Machine, per #A4 in [Time Machine - Troubleshooting|http://web.me.com/pondini/Time_Machine/Troubleshooting.html] (or use the link in *User Tips* at the top of this forum).

Response code 403 from server when launching jnlp

Ive searched the forums for this same problem to no avail. We have a reverse proxy server which requires authentication to log in. Once the user logs in, then they can run our webstart app. But when I run it, I get this error in webstart: Please pay attention to the "Caused by:" section of the WRAPPED EXCEPTION tab.

If you look at the wrapped exception, the server appears to be try ing to bounch Web Start back to the login screen. Thats what that https://rptest.ca.boeing.com:443/ReverseProxy/Authentication.html is. Its the login screen. But I have already logged in! It is as if I tried to launch this app without ever logging in. Is there any way to run a web start app after you have authenticated into a server? Please help if you can, I'm really in a bind.

You may have logged in using your browser, but Java doesn't know that so it will need to login again.
However, there are some issues with regards to NTLM protected resources (e.g. those behind a Microsoft Proxy Server), which has apparently been fixed in 1.4.2 (meaning it didn't work with earlier versions). Perhaps this is what's happening?

Error message 10660 when launching applications

Hope someone may be able to help I have a MacBook Pro OS X 10.4.11 and Safari, Microsoft Office, Adobe & Skype are not loading. I have tried phoning Apple who advised trying a new user account, did that but the applications will still not load. I then tried first aid via disc utility on my HD but it came up with errors too. I have also tried reinstalling from the original discs and again errors have occurred. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Does the error occur when trying to start the application or when you are trying to open a document? In the case of the latter be sure the document is trying to open the right application: Press COMMAND-I to open the Get Info window and check what default application is listed in the Open With section.
If the above isn't relevant then do a Google search for 'error 10660' which will provide a number of links which may find a solution for you.

How can I prevent a memory flow error from occuring when using 3D contour plots?

After displaying a single contour plot a number of times, LabVIEW crashes and reports a memory overflow error. I only load a single 2D array, never storing previouls ones. I always index the data for contour plot 0, and don't explicitly store multiple 2D arrays in any buffer, such as appending data to a shift register. There appears to be some sort of memory leak in LV when using this feature. Is there a programatic way to flush the stored data in a contour plot prior to displaying the next 2D array of data?

Is this in the LabVIEW development environment? Are you making changes to the code and then running the VI? Does the plot contain default data? Is the indicator cleared when the program stops? The Plot Clean Data method may be what you're looking for.
Remember that the development environment maintains an undo history of the changes you've made, and copies both the block diagram and FP contents each time. If you have a lot of data displayed on the front panel you end up copying it multiple times. This isn't a problem unless you're actively editing the VI in question.
If you do need to edit and run the VI at the same time (perfectly reasonable, although you might want to consider a 64-bit installation or more RAM if you commonly work with resource-intensive data types like 3D plots) try reducing the Undo history length (Tools>>Options), although be aware that you won't be able to back up as many steps.

Error in UWL when launching the corresponding workitem using webgui

I am trying to configure the UWL in EP6.0 almost everything is worked but at the last when i click on the work item in the UWL iview, it has to open the corresponding transaction in the R/3 webgui, instead of that it is giving the error as " Transaction *SWK1 is unknown " if anybody of come across with this type of error, please put a solution here. It is little bit Urgent.

Have u checked the same in the SAP GUI? If its working fine there, then there will not b any problem in Portal.Moreover check the configuration of UWL whether it is connected with the R/3 correctly.

and followed the step by step using the OSX10.7 instructions, and using "LicenseRecover.py" file (from the download you directed me to) in the terminal window .
Seems to be working fine now.

PS. Can't help but feel I'm being pushed into a CC subscription for InDesign. S'pose it's inevitable.

HT5096 What about the permission errors from ACLs when you try this?

I followed the instructions for using Finder to copy the Backups.backupdb directory and get permission errors. Another post says to use DiskUtility restore. I guess I'll try that after wasting a day.

Hi -- we copy zip files and move them from one site to another. Prior to zipping, we have to push the permissions through on the home folders. Perhaps you should do this. Just do a get info on the folder and apply permissions to internal folders. However, this will not capture hidden folders.
If you are on a local workstation and are backing up the home, to reset the permissions (ACLs) -- just reset the password (you can even reset it to the same password).
