Load 1 More Message

My Inbox says "Load 1 More Message, 1 message total, 1 unread". When I click on it nothing gets loaded. Anyone else having this problem?

Iphone Mail Only Shows "Load X More Messages"

My iPhone's mail program just recently broke. My situation is as follows:
1 Work IMAP account
This account worked fine in the past (sending and receiving), but now for some reason whenever I check email it shows "Load X More messages... <newline>X messages total, 0 unread", where X is whatever number of messages is in the inbox (confirmed through another computer for example). I can click on the message and it does the normal UI syncing animations,etc, but the message remains and I cannot view any email.
This also appears to only be happening with my INBOX, because if I hit the "mailboxes" button and pick one of my IMAP subfolders, I can see messages there just fine.
I've tried restart the phone, replacing the email on the phone through iTunes, etc, and nothing has changed (except the X number of messages of course).
What can I do!!!

I tried doing a full restore but that didn't solve anything - even when I choose not to restore my backup, but started from scratch. Funny thing now is, I checked my mail on my phone when I hadn't checked in a while (normally I check on my mac first so it can filter out the spam) and while it still shows the "Load X more message", it ALSO shows my inbox! Crazy. Apple, where is a fix for the terrible email client you've put on the iPhone?

Still seeing this annyoing 'load x more messages', x messages total, x unread, nothing happens by tapping on it, and this message doesn't go away--although the numbers of messages and unread messages sometimes changes. But I don't get any new messages....and these numbers don't reflect accurately what is in my mailboxes.

No, that seems to be a bug. Happens on some of my accounts from time to time. Seems to happen on POP accounts moreso than IMAP accounts.

Email inbox - load 25 more messages...?

I notice this when I enter the inbox for my email account - load 25 more messages... - pressing it does nothing.
When I check my email account via the web there are no more messages to load, not even in the spam folder, but yet that message persists.
Has anyone else seen this and know what it means?

Yes, this message has been reported many many times, occasionally it has been said to give ridiculous numbers like "1,024,563 more messages to load". I get it occasionally with one of my IMAP accounts. The only advice I can give is to ignore it.

"Load 50 more messages..." - email help?

I have an email account with THOUSANDS of emails still in my inbox on my exchange server. I am trying to get my iphone to show my 200 recent emails (as selected on iphone).
I can send email OK, but I continue to get this message "Load 50 more messages..." When I touch this message on my inbox it "seems" to take different durations like it is going through 50 different size emails on my exchange server.
However, I have touched this message hundreds of times thinking it would eventually show my most recent 200 emails - but no joy.
I can also touch the "circular arrow in the bottom left corner" to re-check my email and I continue to get the same blank email inbox like I do when I touch the "load 50 more messages" message.
This is like watching water boil without knowing if the stove is on. Please help.

I have been fighting with setting up a pop email account all day. One of my accounts was fine but the other would not work. I thought I had the set-up wrong but it was working fine on my TREO. I was able to SEND messages with no problem (something that seemed to be an issues for folks in other posts.)
I decided to set it up on my MAC and see if I could get it to pop the mail there. (this is my work email account I was trying to set up.) A couple hundred messages came across, but I was able to correctly set up the account and get mail so i knew I was using the right configuration and parameters. I tried syncing again to get iTunes to do the set up for me. The iPhone still would not do anything other than say "Load 25 more messages...."
I went out to the server and deleted a bunch of messages, probably left 25 or so. I selected email on the iPhone and wouldn't you know it, it started pulling down messages.
Not sure what the issue was, but it certainly didn't like the fact that I had a couple hundred messages out on the server. I had that same problem once this year on my treo but I had thousands of emails out on the server I had to clean-up.
If anyone knows of a threshold number here for POP emails I would be interested in knowing it so I could keep ahead of the issue.

I believe this was addressed before in another post, but I can't find it.
Here is my question. At work, we have POP mail and I use my iPhone for getting mail. At the bottom of the list, it says "load 25 more messages."
There are not 25 e-mails in the "in" box. Also, when I tap on the "load 25 more Messages" it appears tht it is going to the server, as I get the spinning wheel, but when the wheel stops spinning, nothing happens.
Any thoughts on what this all means would be gretly appreciated.

You should get about another 25 messages from the server when you use this feature. There could be a simple reason why there isn't 25 more there when you think there should be, there leave mail on server option isn't enabled and therefore when mail comes down it is then deleted on the server. I think that's it. I would use IMAP is possible, its better syncs with a server in general.

Load 50 More Messages...

For one of my email accounts (comcast), I continue to get a message on he iphone on the first line of that account, "Load 50 more messages..." I have no messages on my desktop that have not been downloaded and deleted and I have also deleted the messages on the server. When I touch the message, the circle whirls for about 10 seconds and stops. Could it be loading in the background. Seems to be stuck. Thanks

Same thing happens to me with Yahoo. I took everything out of my inbox in an effort to get the push function working (which it did for a while but now stopped again). Now it comes up with 'download 25 more messages, -2867 total 0 unread. Yes, negative 2867. If you click on it, it thinks about it for a little bit then just dissappears and 'mailbox updated at xxxxx shows up at the bottom with no messages. Just interesting that with all the backslapping that was going on between apple and yahoo, you'd think that it'd work a little more consistantly...

Load 25 more messages... 2,147,646 unread "HELP"

I selected mail from home screen and it loaded my inbox and displayed the message
"Load 25 more messages... 2,147,646 2,147,646 unread"
When i select it says loading 25 more emails then just goes back to displaying the previous message, but with the last updated time amended.
Oh there's was nothing in my inbox prior to this as i'd cleared it about an hour before.
How odd, I've just tried to load mail again and it seems to have rectified itself.
Has anyone else experienced anything similar ?

I just actuvated my iphone today and I got this message. It wasn't there for the first few hours, but at some point it showed up and I can't get rid of it. it says "load 25 more messages..." in a oane of my inbox as if it's an email sitting there. if I click on it it spins as if doing something for a second during which the text reads "Loading 25 more messages...". Then it reverts back to the original message.
Is this some kind of virus??
Also, I had the same number 2,147,646 unread.
I just want to get rid of it. Can anyone help?

Load 25 more messages...Using POP mail account

I have comcast internet, and I'm having problems with my iPhone mail.
At first, I had no problems, I received mail with no problem.
I didn't change anything, so I don't know how this problem started.
I click on Mail, it checks for mail, and all it says is "Load 25 more messages.."
I'll click on that, it then says "Loading 25 more messages..." but nothing happens.
Its just stops.
I have searched and searched for answers, but to no avail.

I called Apple. The tech support guy was very helpful. I was on the phone with him for over a half-hour.
He had me (and I'm not sure why I didn't do this myself) do a reset.
Hold the Home button and the on/off button at the same time.
I did it twice, and now my Comcast POP mail works great.

Im not sure as to why I keep getting this message in the mail app on the iPhone. I'm usinga pop account and all the settings are fine except when I check my mail. There is a message that says ; load 25more messages? Has anyone else experienced a similar problem?

I just activated my new phone three days ago and have been plagues by both this message and the "billions of messages unread" version. I would like to just ignore it, but unfortunately, when I experience it, the mail app does not work properly. It will not show the content of the messages in my inbox, just the message that " this messages has not been downloaded from server".
If I turn off the phone and then download any messages off my server (to my G5) then restart the phone, it clears up the problem temporarily.
Mail is a very improtant function to me. I hope Apple fixes this bug soon.

Loading 50 More Messages - Problem

Hi. This weekend I added a link from HOTMAIL LIVE to my IPHONE. I subscribed to a servive to get to HOTMAIL. Now for 8 hours I have had the message LOADING on my IPHONE. I keep touching the pad to keep clock going. Does anyone know what the problem is or what is going on?

Issue with load more messages feature

Hi, I'm new to the Iphone 3Gs and I have notice a strange behavior the the "load more messages" feature.
I've setup my mail account with Gmail and everythings works fine. My mail setting is set to show the 25 more recent messages.
When I go to my inbox and press "load more messages", it loads 25 more messages so thats makes it 50. I've notice that my inbox will now show 50 messages until a power off/on cycle, than it shows the 25 more recent messages again as stated in the mail settings.
Here's my problem. The imap folder "All Mail" from Gmail does not work like this. Everytime I hit "load more messages" in that folder it loads more messages but never reset to 25 after power off. Now that folder shows over 100 messages.
Is there a way to reapply the show settings to that folder ? Only thing that works that I found is to delete the account.

Hey man, your problem sounds similar to the one I'm having. I can't load more messages on both of my email accounts. But I think I might have figured out the problem. I recently re-installed my hotmail account and when I was looking through my,"Unread" inbox the, "Load more messages" command was working just fine. So I was continuing to go through my messages to make them read (because if your like me, I don't like to have any messages, "Unread." So when all my messages were read there was about 80 in total, and my setting was set to show the 25 most recent. So I backed out of the mail app, did a few more things and came back hoping that there would only be 25 showing with 0 unread and the ability to load more if i wished. Well, there was 25 showing but the box with the load more messages command was gone and no matter how many times I tried to refresh it would not come back.
So my theory is this; there always has to be an unread message in your inbox for the load more messages to work. Sorry about the long post. I'm going to test this theory out, knowing my luck, it won't work at all. Good luck bro!

Loading more messages

I just added my yahoo mail accunt to my iphone and i'm getting the same message over and over that its loading two more messages and it never stops doing that. I've tried re-setting everything and deleating the entire account and starting over but its still not working.

Go to your yahoo account via the web. Make sure everything is current there, that is.. everythihng you want deleted, do so. How did you add this account? via the mail app? If so, and cleaning up Yahoo didn't work, try deleting it and adding it via settings. If you added it via settings, do the opposite. But first, clean up yahoo.

Load 8 New Messages

I'm getting an iPhone message "Load 8 New Messages". The number changes. I tap the message, get a message saying it's downloading, but nothing shows up. This happens on my Yahoo and Bellsouth accounts.

Those should be the messages that you actually deleted, for example if lets say I have 5 messages in my Inbox and under the last one it says load 11 more messages, and I delete 4 of the new messages it will show the message i left and under the message it should say load 15 more messages.
So... that message doesn't mean that there are 15 messages left to load
Each time you delete a message that number will be higher , and the number will get lower probably depending on the settings that you have on how long should it take to remove deleted messages

Activesync not letting me "load more messages"

I have an active sync account setup with my gmail account that's not showing more than about 20 or so emails in my inbox. I should be able to scroll down to the bottom of the list and click a line that says "load more messages" but that button does not appear. If I set the account inactive in settings and view the same email using IMAP I get the link and I can see more message over and over.
This is frustrating because I'd rather use active sync for push email like I do on my iPhone using this same account. Anyone else seen this? If it makes a difference, my gmail is actually my own domain email using google apps.

kensei, I looked at my sync settings and I was only setup for 3 days on mail, but after setting this to no limit, mail seemed to download and download and I could scroll and scroll through the emails.
It's a half fix. While I can now see more email messages, if I had let it go, it might well have downloaded several thousand messages. I stopped and set the sync to 1 month. This result differs from the iPhone in that on the iPhone, it shows me a certain number and at the bottom get the "Load More Messages". Here, I only get that if I use imap.
Finally, as far as the Exchange settings go, it's google gmail, so although they use active sync, I really doubt they are using an exchange server. Either way, this same account behaves differently than it does on my iPhone.
