Load a new SAP session on the same screen without leaving it.
Hi,
I went through demo DEMO_ABAP_OBJECTS_SPLIT_SCREEN and really it is meet my business requirements especially when double clicking one node it is navigate to the proper website. the only thing I need is instead of calling the airline website I want to load an SAP session on the same screen with leaving it.
Please, I appreciate your help on this.
Thanks, Thoram...
I am sure this can be done. I am a newbie so I have not performed this type of task before. You can try this in your sandbox environment first. The databse and its connection information for ABAP stack is in the DEFAULT.PFL. ABAP uses windows authentication to connect to SQL Server.
1) Stop the SAP instances running in the server.
2) Make a backup of the databse you want to move to another instance.
3) Restore the backed up database in your new instance.
4) Make changes to the following entries in the default.PFL of the <SID>.Also check these entries in the instance profile (<SID>_DVEBMGS01_<server_name>) to make sure nothing is overwritten from the DEFAULT.PFL
dbs/mss/server = <server_name\instance>
dbs/mss/dbname = <SID>
dbs/mss/schema = <six>
j2ee/dbtype = mss
j2ee/dbhost = <server_name\instance>
j2ee/dbname = <SID>
If you use JAVA AS also then launch the configtool.bat and click on "Secure Store" and change "jdbc/pool/<SID>/Url" to include the instance name i.e. "jdbc:nwmss:sqlserver://<sql_Server_Name>\<instance_name>;databasename=<db_name>".
I hope this helps!

Which abap statements will start new internal session in the same external
hi
which abap statements will start new internal session in the same externalHi,
Generally, the statements SUBMIT and CALL TRANSACTION would create internal session within another.
However, the addition 'AND RETURN' should be specified upon using SUBMIT statement else without the addition, the internal session will be overwritten with the new program called by using SUBMIT.
LEAVE TO TRANSACTION also will overwrite the current internal session with the new transaction code.
Cheers,
Venkat
P.S: Kindly reward points for useful answers -
The old hard drive was operating on Xp and new hard drive is Windows 7, if this makes any difference.
Unfortunately there is no simple method and, the workaround is far from perfect. The .json files Firefox uses overwite the existing bookmarks but the .html option appends and does not overwrite.
First of all backup all bookmarks on each hard drive. The best method of doing that is to backup the Firefox profiles, that captures the bookmarks databases (''places.sqlite'') and the autobackups that Firefox holds.
* [[Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles]]
* [[Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer]]
#First ensure you have the largest databsae on the current install of Firefox. If necessary
##Locate the Firefox Profile on the old drive
##* [[Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data]]
##Open Firefox and find the profile that is currently in use.
##*Quick method <br/>Use FirefoxButton -> Help -> Troubleshooting Information [Open Folder] <br />(No certain of exact wordings, OR navigate to ''about:support'' )
##* [[Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles]]
#Now use HTML backups to transfer from the smaller database the basic bookmarks.
## Close Firefox & if the old database is the largest one use the Operating System copy option to overwrite the existing places.sqlite so that Firefox now uses the old database
## Reopen Firefox but this time open using the old profile. The easiest method of that may be to disable the new drive from the Bios or alternatively use Firefox profile manager and register the old profile location and open firefox with that profile
##* [[Use the Profile Manager to create and remove Firefox profiles]]
## Export the bookmarks from the old profile using the Firefox Library and the HTML option.
##* see [[Export Firefox bookmarks to an HTML file to back up or transfer bookmarks]]
## Close Firefox, reopen new version/newprofile and import the HTML.
You now have the largest database of complete bookmarks with tags etc. , plus additional bookmarks from the smaller database added on. Obviously you may have some duplication -
Imp: new session for the same user if idle for 4 mins. or else throw error
Dear All,
I have a requirement where for security reasons if a session remains idle for 4 mins. or more, it should redirect to login page. This is easy as there is a feature in apex itself under security in application properties. This works fine.
But I also don't want the users to start two active parallel sessions for the same user, and allow user to login only if the session for the user is idle for 4mins. or more or else display error message that the user has already logged.
A second in sequence, on submit process for this in page 101 when login button is hit is written for this. It is as follows:
declare
found boolean := false;
begin
for x in (SELECT a.apex_user from apex_workspace_activity_log a,apex_workspace_sessions b, (SELECT max(view_date) as maxdate FROM apex_workspace_activity_log where upper(apex_user)=upper(:P101_USERNAME) and APPLICATION_ID=120) maxresults, (SELECT max(session_created) as maxcreate FROM apex_workspace_sessions where upper(user_name)=upper(:P101_USERNAME)) maxsession where b.session_created=maxsession.maxcreate AND b.APEX_SESSION_ID!=:SESSION and upper(b.user_name)=upper(:P101_USERNAME) and b.APEX_SESSION_ID=a.APEX_SESSION_ID and a.seconds_ago<240 AND a.APPLICATION_ID=120 and a.view_date=maxresults.maxdate and rownum=1) loop
found:=true;
raise_application_error(-20000, 'Already Logged.');
exit;
end loop;
IF not found THEN
null;
END IF;
end;
But for some this reason this does not work as intended. Two users can login parallely.
When I trace the program, I see that it should catch the parallel user login. But it does not.
Is it some db cache issue? I don't know.
Kindly let me know how to fix this. It is crucial for us to achieve this.
Thanking in advance.
Regards,
Deepika.Dear Fateh,
Thanks for the reply.
The features of this plugin are:
Configurable timeout actions including alert, redirect, and logout
Optional and configurable warning message
Option to keep session alive if user isn’t truly idle. Special thanks to Martin D’Souza for a great idea on how to implement this feature.
But it cannot stop a new session for a user, if there is an active (in my definition apex_workspace_activity_log.seconds_ago<240) session already running for that user.
Regards,
Deepika. -
Transaction iView(from remote source) does not open a new SAP session
Hi All,
We are on portal 7.4 and are calling a transaction from ECC system. Within the transaction we have a button which displays graphs based on the output of the transaction. Since we are calling this transaction from portal, a new session does not open after clicking on this button.
In order to enable a new session, I have changed the configuration for 'disable new session buttons in SAP GUI' to false yet the new SAP session does not open. I have also verified the webgui setting and ensured that we do not have '~singletransaction' maintained, yet we are unable to enable the new session. Could you kindly suggest on how I can get this button to function?
Additional inputs:
- Referred to note 125814 for changing the new sessions value.
- Tried changing the iview type to 'SAP GUI for window' from SAP HTML type(which was default).
- In case I type '/o' in the command box for SAP, it gives me a 'maximum sessions reached' message, but this message does not come when I click on this button. In fact, nothing happens after I click on the button.
I still think there might be a possibility to enable this, however, I seek your inputs on this.
Awaiting response...
Warm Regards,
VinayHi Harini,
thanks for your answer!
I can tell you that the same command used from the SAP Client open a new session with the same transaction...
Is strange that from the portal it has a different behaviour...
Best Regards -
Call a new SAP session within a subscreen area.
Hi,
I will really appreciate your help on this.
How could I call a new SAP session (other transaction or whatever) within a sub screen area?
Many thanks.Hi Lezarazo,
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_46c/helpdata/en/73/69eba655bb11d189680000e829fbbd/content.htm
If you need to have functionality where you can kick off a transaction in another window then do the followingu2026.
To call the function:
The Structure: ZSE_ITAB
with FIELD CHAR40 and VALUE CHAR40
DATA: itab_fields type STANDARD TABLE OF ZSE_ITAB,
wa_field type ZSE_ITAB. wa_field-field = 'BELNR'.
wa_field-value = t_invoice.
APPEND wa_field TO itab_fields.
CALL FUNCTION 'Z_CALL_TRANSACTION_SESS'
STARTING NEW TASK 'TA'
EXPORTING
tcode = 'VF03'
skip = 'X'
TABLES
itab_data = itab_fields
EXCEPTIONS
no_transaction = 1
OTHERS = 2.
Function Module Defined: Must be a remotely enabled function module
Its just the same procedure as of ordinary Function module, but in the Attributes Tab, under Processing Type you have to select Remote-Enabled Module instead of Normal Function Module.
Example :
FUNCTION z_call_transaction_sess.
*"*"Local Interface:
*" IMPORTING
*" VALUE(TCODE) TYPE TCODE
*" VALUE(SKIP) TYPE FLAG OPTIONAL
*" TABLES
*" ITAB_DATA STRUCTURE ZSE_ITAB OPTIONAL
*" EXCEPTIONS
*" NO_TRANSACTION
The additional info about calling transactions can be found in the following link
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/9f/db9da935c111d1829f0000e829fbfe/content.htm
or Lezarazo you can create your own zfunction module call that function module in your program using the CALL TRANSACTION Statement inside a Remote-Enabled Function Module and then using the STARTING NEW TASK addition while calling the Function Module.
Hope this helps,
Revert for further clarification.
Thanks and Regards

I was recording a song, finished it and everything went alright. Then I wanted to start with the recording of a new song. With the SAME plug-ins and settings as in the song before. I could record it all, but then, logic started crashing! Now, Logic crashes everytime I open up the new song as soon as I press play. But when I open up the older song, everything works just fine. I can press play without any problems, do things here and there... typical Logic stuff. So, it has to do with my new project! But why? I mean, I'm using everything the same way in both projects. Literally everything!
Now, here's one of my crash reports... please help. Please. Thanks in advance!

Multiple sessions for the same user
Hi,
The scenario is like this. The user is logged into the system using JAAS and
has a session object created. I want to create a new session for the same user
with the already available credentials. This is to provide the same user the access
to the application in another window with different session object. How can do
that in Weblogic 8.1 server ?
thanks in advance,
Krishna.Hi
I think it would be easier to enable session time out settings using GPO considering you work in a domain environment..
Having session timeouts settings you could say... hey after 15 min of inactivity disconnect the user and then after 15 min of disconnected session log him off
Take a look at this URL: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc754272.aspx
Hope this helps
Best regards

How to create a different browser session within the same profile
Internet Explorer 8 lets you create a new session within a new browser window but how can I do the same with Firefox? I know if you switch user profiles then you can have two browsers in different sessions but I would like to have two sessions using the same user profile.
Sorry, that's not possible with Firefox. Firefox uses a single executable instance to run all windows and tabs, where IE starts another process for each window. Chrome uses a separate process for each tab (or window), which seems real nice until it sucks the life out of an older processor with the "overhead" of all those separate processes.
Depending upon what you want a "different session" for, there are 3 extensions that allow for multiple cookie sessions which allow for multiple, simultaneous logins to the same server. That works to allow the user to log into multiple webmail accounts at the same service provider. <br />

Is it possible to output multiple clips from a multitrack session, at the same time?
I'm using Audition CC 2014.2
on Windows 7 Pro x64
I am trying to figure out how to output several clips from a multitrack session, at the same time.
A session like this:
Is it possible to output 5 files right now?
I can select each one (or even multiple) and use File > Export > Multitrack Mixdown > Selected Clips to do one at a time only.
I'm hoping for a way to give each clip (or group of clips) a predefined filename, by perhaps using markers or something like that, which would then allow me to faster "automate" the exporting of each section into a different sound file.
This ability would be really helpful when using a single multitrack session to generate multiple sounds and a change to globally applied effects is made and all sounds now need to be updated.
Any ideas?They are, yes, but I'm also working with multitrack sessions using clips made from various different sound files.
Ahh ok, use markers?
So, this sort of thing isn't possible in multitrack mode then?
If not, it sounds I'll have to "mix down" my multitrack session into a single file and set up the markers in Waveform Edit view.
That's an extra step I'd have to do, and after editing the multitrack session, surely some markers . . . oh wait, no . . . every time I output the new mix down file from the multitrack I'd need to redo all the markers. Drat . . .
Honestly, I am very new to Audition, but I'm about to plow into it, big-time, and I'm hoping for a nice non-destructive and fast workflow that'll enable me to output sets of sounds from the same multitrack session.
But, it seems like this functionality is currently missing. -
Same query different timings , different sessions at the same time
I am running exactly the same query from 2 different sessions almost simultaneously and in one session it is taking 2 seconds and in the other it is taking 20 seconds. The explain plans in both the sessions (by set autotrace on) are exactly the same. The timing is almost same for succesive runs of the query in the same sessions. That is when I run the query again in the "slow session" it is always around 20 seconds and when I run the query again in the "fast session" it is always fast. The queries are being run within a few seconds of each other so the load on the database is almost same.
My hunch is that it is a database parameter that needs to be changed to solve this problem, can someone guide me with this ....which parameters I should ask our DBAs to adjust ? Our database is Oracle 10G.

When I try to log onto my Apple ID to use facetime, it will not work and tells me to check my connection. I have even tried creating a new apple ID but the same message appears. I do not understand why this is happening, could anyone help me resolve this issue it is very frusterating that I can not enable facetime or imessage.
I could do that, however when I select the icloud button (or whatever the heck it is) I am asked to enter the apple id and password. So if you are suppose to create another one for icloud you'd think it would give you the option at this point which would be logical.

I go to google. I type in "plants". A lot of sites will pop up in google. I click on a site (does not matter which usually). The site will then start to switch to a new url from (click kick, morsearch, etc) turning into a new search engine with the same topic and more options. I never get to the page I want unless I type the url directly into the address box. It always comes back with a search engine. So far I have found this only happens while starting in a search engine. When I get into the actual page, everything is fine. I am using McAfee for security and it hasn't caught a virus or anything yet. Help please! Thanks!
Install, update, and run these programs in this order. They are all free for personal use, but some have limited functionality in the "free mode" - but those are features you really don't need to find and remove the problem that you have. <br />'''''(Not all programs detect the same Malware.)'''''

I have an iPhone 5s running iOS8 and an iPad, up to date. I have recently changed my mail server but not my email address. My "old" mail account is an Exchange account and I have also set up a "new" Exchange account with the same address but with the new mail server details. When I receive outside, third party emails they are routed correctly to the "new" Exchange account but when I bcc myself or receive other emails from any account with my domain name the emails are routed to my "old" Exchange account. I have changed the default account settings to the "new" Exchange account. Also, if I send myself an email from my laptop, through the new mail service provider, it is routed correctly on my laptop but incorrectly on my iPhone and iPad. It appears as though the Apple products have cached my email address and routing and won't look to pick up the new mail server details. I don't see anything in the mail account settings or contacts that allows me to refresh or clear the cache. The result is I now have mail in 2 accounts. If I can get the misdirected mail from the odl account to the new one I will then make the old account inactive. Anyone have any ideas on this one?
Thanks in advance for your time and ideas,
DAACan you set up a rule in your old account to forward mail to your new account and then delete it from the old account?

I need to sync my iPhone to new user id on the same mac. How do I keep my iPhone contacts and music library? I tried to sync and iTunes wanted to erase both.
When you say a new user ID, are you referring to your Apple ID that you use to make purchases in the iTunes Store, etc? Or are you talking about a new user account on the same Mac?
