Load balancing over two separate outside routers and two separate WAN Links

Hi everybody,
I have one 2851 setup with two separate ISP links and have it configured for failover with BGP.  It works great but doesn't load balance.
Well now I have to new routers (3925's) to replace the single 2851 and I want to configure them to load balance over separate WAN links.
Can someone help figure out the best approach to make this happen?  I would really appreciate it.
Thank you,
Thomas Reiling

The "best approach", IMO, would be to use PfR (if your routers support it).

Is there a possibility for load balancing over multiple LSPs (multiple E3 interfaces) in Cell-Mode MPLS...and if possible, plz provide me with any good links for configuration.

Apple does not transfer content bought with one Apple ID to another Apple ID. Apple will not merge two Apple IDs.
If most of your content was bought with the Yahoo! Apple ID but you now want the Gmail address for your Apple ID, the trick will be to change the address used for the Yahoo ID with the Gmail address. However, to do that you must first free the Gmail address from that other Apple ID. Use the instructions from Apple to substitute another address that is not used as an Apple ID for your Gmail address in the Apple ID with the Gmail address. Then, when the Gmail address is no longer used in an Apple ID, you can use the same instructions to substitute the Gmail address for the Yahoo address in the Apple ID with the Yahoo address.

    Hello Bruce !
CSS is designed to handle TCP- and UDP based traffic, not IPSec. When handling IPSec traffic Content Switching Module (CSM) inside Catalyst 6500 series is recommended for that purpose.

  • Load balancing on 2 pair outdoor AP1300 and 1 switch C3560 each end

    Hi,
i will configure four AP1300 and two C3560G with load balancing can you help me.
    this my design:
    1. (AP1300#1 on switch A) <-----trunk via AP1300------> (AP1300#2 on switch B)
    2. (AP1300#3 on switch A) <-----trunk via AP1300------> (AP1300#4 on switch B)
If uplink no.1 down i have uplink no.2 still up for a second.

If I understand the question I think that isdn  bchan-number-order is the command you are interested in.  I think it detaults to round-robin, sounds like you want ascending (that is isdn  bchan-number-order ascending).  It is an interface subcommand.
    See  http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/12_3t/12_3t2/feature/guide/gt_ibcac.html#wp1055853
That may only apply to native ISDN calls and not MICA based calls, but see if that helps.

  • Switch-independent load-balancing NIC teaming on server-side and MAC/ARP flapping on L2/L3 switches

Since active deployment of Windows Server 2012, our servers support team began to utilize new feature - switch-independent load-balancing NIC teaming. At first look it seems great - no additional network configuration is required and load balancing is performed by server itself by sending frames in round-robin or some hash algorithm out from different NICs (say two for simplicity) but with same MAC address. Theoretical bandwith is now grown up to 2Gbps (if we have two 1G NICs per server) against failover NIC teaming configuration, when one of two adapters is always down.
But how does this affect (if does) switching and routing performance of network equipment? From point of view of L2 switch - it has to rewrite its CAM table each time a server sends frame from different NIC. Isn't it expensive operation? Won't it affect switching in a bad way? We see in our logs that same server make switches to change mac-to-port associations several times per second.
Well, and how does it affect routing, if the switch to which server is connected is L3 switch an performs routing for the subnet server connected to? Will CEF operate well if ARP entry chages several times per second?
    Thank you.

Since nobody answered here, we created service request and got the following answer (in short):
L2 MAC flapping between ports is very bad and you must avoid such configurations as much as possible. There is one possible variant that can be considered in your situation - use port-channel (either L2 or L3), in this configuration port-channel will be treted as single port and there won't be flapping.

  • Load balancing over rmi requests

On a cluster of ias10g (9041), Is it possible that all requests over RMI use a "virtual" hostname and port which directs them to a load balancing mechanism which then determines which of the operational OC4J instances should process this request?

Does anyone know anything on this question?

  • Load balancing over multiple NIC cards

Is it possible to setup some kind of load balancing at the OS level on a V240 running Solaris 8?
I've got all 4 NIC cards populated (2 each on different subnets with clients coming from both subnets and elsewhere) and I've like to setup some load balancing at the operating system to (dynamically) route the load across the most appropriate interface. Is this possible? I feel I should be getting more bang for my buck here, but I just cant find any info on what I'd like to do.
    Thanks for the help.

You can use IPMP in order to have load balancing for the outbound traffic. It's working fine, i have used it on many machines.
Now, if you want to trunk the throughput of your interfaces (for inbound and outbound traffic), you need to acquire sun trunking software. It can truncate up to 8 100Mbps interfaces, or up to 2 1Gbps interfaces.

  • Load balance on CSM with both Firewalsl and Cache engines

    Hi,
I'm come from VDC#3 ( Vietnam) , we have 2 CSM , 3 firewall , and 8 CE 7325. We configed dual CSMs load balance for 3 FW, and now we want to use one CSM to load balance for CEs. Can you hint me best topylogy network?
    Thanks

    your topology is correct.
    The problem is your config.
If you need access to the CE ip addresses, you need to configure a vserver to allow this traffic.
    Something like
    serverfarm FORWARD
    no nat server
    no nat client
    predictor forward
    vserver access2ce
    vip x.x.x.0/24 any
    serverfarm FORWARD
    ins
Replace x.x.x.0/24 with the subnet used by the CE.

    Gilles.

I have one computer and one iTunes library and two devices hooked up to it. But I have to apple IDs a different one for each of the two devices. When I try to buy or update something using my account and password it asks for the other account password so I can buy or update anything. I can log into this website using my accountant it recagnizes me but i still can't get it to work on the App Store . I don't know I'f this matters but I just updated to iOS 6 and then tried it and it wouldn't work. Before I updated it , when I would try to get an app or something it would still  ask me for the other password , but if I pushed cancel then it would ask me do mine and then it would work , but it doesn't do that anymore. If I push cancel it just cancels and does nothing. I hope you can give me some suggestions, I really need your help:)

  • Network Load Balancing between SharePoint 2013 App server and WFE

    Hi,
Can we do NLB between SharePoint 2013 App server and WFE Server ?
    Below is our Architecture,
    1. WFE Server (1)
    2. APP Server (1)
    3. Database Server
    4. Domain Controller
We have configured NLB but, when we stop IIS on APP server, SharePoint 2013 web app link is not working.
    is it possible ?
    Please help us

You can do NLB between WFE and APP server however make sure that web application service is started from central admin which host sharepoint sites.
Why do you stop IIS on APP server, definitely it will not be able to host web app sites. rather you can just disable APP node on NLB to test it.

  • Synchronizing the read of two timer tasks (Period and Two Edge Separation)

    Hello,
I am using labview 2011 and need to latch the data from two timer tasks of a 6602 board at the same time and then perform the read. One task is a period measurement the other is a two edge speration.  It sounds pretty simple and I am sure it is, I just haven't located the correct information yet,  If someone would point point me in the correct direction.
    Thanks,
    Mike

While it's true that a digital edge arm start trigger can help to sync the tasks to begin together, the nature of the measurements you're making also have a big impact on whether you can depend on the buffered data remaining "synced."   Both measurement types will latch measurement data at times determined by the signal(s) being characterized.  You cannot configure either task type to sample at a known constant rate.  You can only accept samples at the rate dictated by the signals' own edges.
Ok, so having said all that, here are some implications:
    1. a cumulative sum of all your period data will effectively give you timestamps for all the active edges, with t=0 set by the arm start trigger edge.
    2. there is no information inherent in a two edge separation measurement that can identify the time relative to the arm start trigger.  You'll get a bunch of measured interval times with completely unknown times between those intervals
    3. caveat: if you are somehow using the same signal edge for both measurements AND getting one measurement of two-edge separation for each and every period measurement, ONLY then would you be able to reconstruct the timestamps relative to the arm start trigger edge.
So I'd caution you that the idea of latching readings in sync or reconstructing relative edge times between the measurements is pretty unlikely to work except under some very specific circumstances.

  • Rack design for two ONS 15454's and two 15540-PWR-AC power supplies...

Looking for advice setting up two ONS boxes with two 15540-PWR-AC power supplies. The manuals/CCO show rack design for just the ONS boxes and a fuse/alarm panel. I have two side by side racks for the gear. Has anyone set up the power supplies for an ONS installation? Any feedback would be great.
    thx.

Review the AC/DC Power Solution Data Sheet:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6063/products_data_sheet0900aecd801a002a.html
    Per the Data Sheet...
The Medium will power 1x 15454
The Large will power 2x 15454
    A few things to note...
    1. The Power Solution can possibly power more 454s based on the actual power draw of the nodes.
    2. There are only 4 circuit breakers on the Large expansion panel. A & B power for 2 454s.
    3. It is recommended 454s have 30A fuses/breakers per power source. This can change based on the actual hardware config.
    4. You could possibly use the 15A GMT fuses.
    5. You could possibly incorporate an external PDU for additional fuses.
