Load Data to supporting details Hyperion Planning

Hi All,
I want to load data to supporting details in Hyperion Planning, does anyone know how to do it?
Because as i know, supporting details only available in Planning's repository.
I really appreciate if anyone can help me.
I am using Hyperion 11 and ODI.
Thx

Hi,
You could look at using LCM, you will need to export supporting details to understand the format of the XML.
You can also use ODI with LCM, I wrote a blog about using LCM with ODI which should give you some ideas, have a read here

    Hi Prabha,
    Can you tell which version of Planning you are running on?
    Go to the below link, download the support matrix for the version you are on and then verify support for Client/Server platforms.

  • Load data from infocube to DP planning area

    Hi All,
    I have loaded the data from info cube to DP planning area keyfigures with the transaction /SAPAPO/TSCUBE.
    the data copy was successful and there were no error messages. However, the keyfigure values in planning book are shown exactly as double the values of infocube key figures for all the periods.
    I repeatedly loaded data several times and the behaviour was same.
    We didn't implement any BADI in standrad /SAPAPO/TSCUBE program.
    Could any one please give some hints what would be the reasons for this problem.
    Thanks
    Krish

    I am not sure on how you check the Live Cache data for DP but based on your testing I can say that the old data is not overwritten by the new data in the Live cache. I cannot say the root cause for this however I can suggest you the remedy. To avoid this issue, you zero out the values of the key figure before loading from the Cube.
    For this you have to run a macro which copies zero for the entire horizon and then load the cube. First test this in test system, if it works (it should work), then to make it simple create a batch job with two steps, first step would run this macro and the second step will load the data from cube. you can run this job whenever you want to load the data

    Is it possible to load the metadata into custom dimension? If this is possible, do we need any other KM for planning except RKM Hyperion Planning?

    Yes you can load to custom dimensions just like the other dimensions, the custom dimensions should be reversed into the model.
    You need to use the IKM SQL to Hyperion Planning, make sure you set the staging area different than the target.

  • Loading HFM data to Hyperion Planning using FDM

    Hi All
    Has anyone ever used HFM as a data source for FDM?
    Someone has asked me for the best way to get data from HFM into Hyperion Planning and whether FDM can manage that. I know there is a generic Pull adapter and the ERPi but I'm not sure whether either of those will do the job.
    At the moment I am assuming that they will need to extract data from HFM to flat file and then import to FDM as a 2 stage process?
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks
    Stuart

    Hi Tony
    Apologies for the delay (my email spammed the notification that you had replied, helpful!!). When you say that you have done it but discourage accessing the tables directly how did you achieve this? Were you just careful which data intersections your selected from the tables (e.g. always base level data so it is stored not calculated)?
    I have used the HFM relational tables a couple of times to make use of the metadata that they contain but not tried to get data before.

  • Is there a way to upload Supporting Details into a cell in Planning?

    Is there a way to upload Supporting Details in a cell in Planning from a couple of rows of data in Excel ?
    We have a lot of supporting details in excel rows that we want to load into one cell in Planning Web form 11.1.1.3.
    I know how to extract Supporting Details from Planning's RDBMS repository, but has anyone successfully reverse that process and update Planning's Supporting Detail Tables with data?

    You can reverse the process of how you exported the information using SQL to import the new information.
    I think you will need to restart the planning service for it to take effect, best to test it on a dev environment until you are comfortable with the SQL
    Or you can use LCM, use LCM to export supporting details, then look at the xml document for the format.
    You can then create your own XML document and use LCM to import it in.
    I would probably try the LCM route first.

    Are you sure that you haven't got Planning 11.1.2.3.500 in your environment? This sounds spookily similar to the issue described in note 1678759.1 which was seen after applying Planning 11.1.2.3.500. If it's definitely Planning 11.1.2.3.500 is there any chance that someone has applied ODI patch 18687916 to the ODI home (C:\Oracle\Middleware\odi)?
    If you /*are*/ running Planning 11.1.2.3.500 then you might need to apply patch 18687916 to C:\Oracle\Middleware\odi - you might need note 1683307.1 to take some of the pain out of applying this patch though.
    Given the error that you're seeing though there's a mismatch in versions of JAR files between ODI and the Planning server somewhere.

  • Planning Application - Supporting Details

    Hi,
    We deleted around 4000 members from our planning application and later realised that the few members have budget values tagged to them and also supporting details are included for few of the members. Now we would like to bring back those members to our application. Could you please suggest the best method to bring back those members and the associated supporting details. We donot want to restore the entire the entire application. Is there a way to restore only that particular dimension and its members and the supporting details associated with them. If yes, could anyone of you let me know the process. Our relational DB is SQL 2005.
    Request your help for the closure
    Thanks,

    Assuming you have a backup of your SQL database somewhere (this would be the Planning repository), the following code will extract Supporting Detail:
    Supporting Detail
    SELECT
         "Plan Type" = P.TYPE_NAME,
         "Scenario" = O1.OBJECT_NAME,
         "Account" = O2.OBJECT_NAME,
         "Entity" = O3.OBJECT_NAME,
         "Month" = O4.OBJECT_NAME,
         "Version" = O5.OBJECT_NAME,
         "Year" = O6.OBJECT_NAME,
         "Activities" = O7.OBJECT_NAME,
         "Employee" = O8.OBJECT_NAME,
         "Value" = I.VALUE,
         "Position" = I.POSITION,
         "Generation" = I.GENERATION,
         "Operator" = I.OPERATOR,
         "SD" = I.LABEL
    FROM HSP_COLUMN_DETAIL D
         INNER JOIN HSP_PLAN_TYPE P
              ON D.PLAN_TYPE = P.PLAN_TYPE
         INNER JOIN HSP_COLUMN_DETAIL_ITEM I
              ON D.DETAIL_ID = I.DETAIL_ID
         INNER JOIN HSP_OBJECT O1
              ON D.DIM1 = O1.OBJECT_ID
         INNER JOIN HSP_OBJECT O2
              ON D.DIM2 = O2.OBJECT_ID
         INNER JOIN HSP_OBJECT O3
              ON D.DIM3 = O3.OBJECT_ID
         INNER JOIN HSP_OBJECT O4
              ON D.DIM4 = O4.OBJECT_ID
         INNER JOIN HSP_OBJECT O5
              ON D.DIM5 = O5.OBJECT_ID
         INNER JOIN HSP_OBJECT O6
              ON D.DIM6 = O6.OBJECT_ID
         LEFT OUTER JOIN HSP_OBJECT O7
              ON D.DIM7 = O7.OBJECT_ID
         LEFT OUTER JOIN HSP_OBJECT O8
              ON D.DIM8 = O8.OBJECT_IDYou'll want to modify it a bit to get it to work with your dimensions -- this is from an old project of mine.
    I have never tried to write Supporting Detail back in -- I know it has been done, just not by me. I would tread very carefully and only do it on a test database and be really, really, really sure you've got everything working just so. You could easily blow up your data.
    Another approach might be to restore that Planning app backup (making sure you made a backup of the current app), and then use LCM to export out Supporting detail, and then suck it back into the app that no longer has it.
    ^^^I like that idea a lot more even if it is a bit more tedious.
    With either approach, you are going to have to sync the Essbase data to the SD data -- hopefully you have a good Essbase backup as well.

  • Supporting Details remove data

    Hi Gurus,
    I need to delete dollar amounts from supporting details in planning data form. There are a lot of supporting details, so I was wondering if there is a way to delete/remove them in an automated way.
    Any input would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you

    John,
    I tried to delete the supporting details by going to the DELETE CELL option, and what happened is that it deleted the description as well. I wanted to delete only the amount in the cell without deleting the description. For example if the supporting details is
    TRAVEL EXPENSE 3000
    Tolls 40
    I would like to delete only 3000 and 40 and would like to have the travel expense and tolls as they are so that we can use it again.
    How would i do that.
