Load external .jar into Servlet

Hi...
I'm trying to load an external jar file into a Servlet and I'm getting some problems.
I'm using URLClassLoader to get the class from the jar, but, everytime I try to get a parametrized constructor from the class (as shown below), a NoSuchMethodException is thrown.
I can do that by a external Java Application, but not inside Servlet.
        try{
            constructor = clss.getConstructor(CoopServerInterface.class);
        } catch(NoSuchMethodException ex){
            ex.printStackTrace();
        }Could anyone help me?
Thanks!

Show us the exception.
Does the class in question have a constructor that takes a CoopServerInterface parameter? I.e.
    WhateverClassTheClssVariableIs(CoopServerInterface x) {
    }If the constructor exists, have you deployed that version of the compiled code to your web server? Check that you have. Chances are you have an old WhateverClassTheClssVariableIs.class file somewhere that doesn't have the constructor, and the web server is using that class file. Or you need to restart the web server so it notices the new version.

  • Load external data into se-main-menu

    hi,
    i've tried to load external data (vars,files)into a selfmade
    sony-ericsson-flash-menu for the w810i.
    it is possible to load the data for the current active menu
    via loadVariablesNum("application://focused", 0);
    so i thought i could load some other stuff into the mainmenu.
    i tried to load an swf with loadMovie/loadMovieNum.
    i tried to load vars from a txt-file with
    loadVariables/loadVariablesNum.
    and i tried to open a webadress with getURL.
    but nothing happens ... :(
    the files (swf,txt) are in the same folder like the
    mainMenu.(tpa\preset\system\desktop\flash)
    maybe the w810 does not execute the swf in the same folder
    where it is at the moment?!
    is it possible to figure out where the swf is executed?
    the _url command is not supported by flash-lite-1.x ...
    some ideas?

  • AS3: Loading External Text into a Master File

    I have a master file that I want to load an external text
    file into. This external text file will also have an external style
    sheet applied to it.
    In your opinion, which way is best to load the external text
    file?
    1) Generate a text field dynamically in the master file using
    the TextField class and then loading the external text in.
    2) Placing (at authoring time) a dynamic text box on the
    master file's stage and loading the text in.
    3) Placing a dynamic text box in a separate .swf file and
    then loading that external swf in to the master file, then loading
    the external text into the text box.
    Any opinions?
    Thanks...
    Brenda

    On my project im going with the third choise, dont ask why,
    cause i just do.
    only difference is that i also lad my data into this external
    swf file.
    in other words i use mainly second as well as im going with
    the third one.
    In my opinion, no idea if thats the best way, but i certanly
    know that its (for me) most confortable way.

  • Loading External JAR librarys in an applet

    HI all,
    I have an application that I would like to add an excell extention to. The extension is in the form of a JAR file, and I only want my applet to load this jar file when a menu item has ben clicked. I do not want the jar file to be loaded together with the rest of the application, because it is large, and unessisary for normal applet operation. Anyone have an idea how to do this?
    Thanks in advance.
    -percious

    I don't think this is exactly what I am looking for.
    I want something that only downloads the .jar file if
    the user chooses an option in a menu. That way
    normal users will not have to download unessesary
    items. I believe indexing will select appropriate
    classes from a jar file the first time the applet is
    initialized.
    -perciousOn the contrary, I believe it is what you want. This is from the first google hit on "jar indexing":
    JAR indexing
    If an application or applet is bundled into multiple JAR files, the class loader uses a simple linear search algorithm to search each element of the class path, which may entail the class loader downloading and opening many JAR files until the class or resource is found. If the class loader tries to find a nonexistent resource, all the JAR files within the application or applet will have to be downloaded. For large network applications and applets this could result in slow start up, sluggish response, and wasted network bandwidth.
    [Since JDK 1.3, the JAR file format has supported indexing to optimize the process of searching for classes in network applications, especially applets. The JarIndex mechanism collects the contents of all the JAR files defined in an applet or application and stores the information in an index file in the first JAR file. [b]After the first JAR file is downloaded, the applet class loader will use the collected content information for efficient downloading of JAR files. This directory information is stored in a simple text file named INDEX.LIST in the META-INF directory of the root JAR file.

  • Load external swf into a specific _level

    Hi there,
    I am loading an external swf into the mc 'image' using:
    image.loadMovieNum("portfolio/100_design/1.swf", 1);
    Every time a new image loads, I want it to load the level above, ie:
    image.loadMovieNum("portfolio/100_design/1.swf", 2);
    Is there a way this can be done dynamically. For example, "current level + 1"
    Many thanks

    is the first frame of your loaded swf's empty?  if yes, then no problem using _levels.
    if not, do you mind a momentary flash when your next swf loads and before its _alpha is assigned 0 and then faded-in?  if you don't mind, then no problem using _levels.
    if you do mind that momentary flash, then using _levels will be more complex than using empty target movieclips.  is there some good reason to use _levels instead of target movieclips?

  • Load external html into a Layer?

    I've created a framework of a kids' site using CSS layers to

    For another section of the site, I would like to load an

  • Unable to load external image into iOS app with AS3

    Just trying out Flash Builder for iOS app development and have run into a problem right off the bat with loading an external image into an iOS app.  The actionscript is very simple (this was basically my Hello World attempt), and I'm hoping someone here can explain where I'm going wrong.  This code works in Flash Pro, and works when launched on the desktop from Flash Builder, but doesn't work on my iOS devices.
    Here's the code:
                                  var container:MovieClip = new MovieClip();
                                  addChild(container);
                                  var imageLoader:Loader = new Loader();
           imageLoader.load(new URLRequest("http://www.google.ca/intl/en_ALL/images/logos/images_logo_lg.gif"));

      function startListener (e:Event):void{
                                                 container.addChild(imageLoader);
    Any thoughts on why this won't work would be greatly appreciated!

    I had the same issue, and modified my domain policy file as specified  in http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashplayer/articles/fplayer9_security.html#_Configuring_URL_M eta-Policies but the loader is not loading the file. Any ideas on how to fix this issue?

  • Loading external swf into Fla. not working

    I have created a Flash page that loads an external swf into

    i open the swf in a browser window with the direct link to it the
    scroll works but inside the fla file the swf loads but the scroll
    buttons are not working at all. Would this be something in the
    actionscripting in the swf or fla file. Any advice would be greatly
    appreciated, thank you.

    var imageRequest:URLRequest = new URLRequest("my_gallery.swf");

  • How do you load external XML into a dataProvider?

    I have been looking through the docs and have found a couple
    of entries discussing how to load external XML. Unfortunately, that
    is where the example stops and there is no example of doing
    anything useful with that data.
    I have managed thus far to get my XML file loaded into
    actionscript/flex:
    function getExternalXML():void {
    request = new URLRequest('source.xml');
    loader = new URLLoader();
    loader.load(request);
    loader.addEventListener("complete", loadXML);
    function loadXML(e:Event):void {
    combo.dataProvider = loader.data;
    obviously, the above doesn't work at all. I don't know how to
    convert the loader.data into a format that the
    ComboBox.dataProvider understands. I can't believe I have to write
    a function to parse this XML. Surely there must be a way to simply
    convert the XML to an array or something???

    That link uses the flex beta 3 docs. You may want to use the
    current livedocs.
    Here
    is a direct link to the section I was talking about.
    Scroll down about halfway to the part that says "However,
