Load hierachy in demo masterdata object

how to load hierarchy data in demo infoobject ...like prod_hier ..
At the time of business content for demo activation , infopackage and tran structure has not created for hierarchy but for other like attr , text and transaction transfer stru and infopackage created .
do we hv different process for heirachy . ?

Hi ,
In BI we have two concept called direct update and flexible update.
Flexible Update - uses infosource and through which you can load attr,text,transaction data ie mainly used for loading multiple data targets.
Direct update - We cannot create infosource in which we directly update the infobject.
Steps for you to load hier data
Go to the infosource tab and find infoobject
Right click on it and create transfer rules which will ask for datasource and source system
assign them and save them (You wont be having option to activate)
Once it is done create infopackage and refresh the hier list . It will display hier in source system
You can choose those hier and load them in BI.
Ensure that you activate the product hier datasource is activated and available in your source system
so that you can replicate and bring them to BI and use them when creating mapping.

Urgent::::Data is not loaded for a perticular info object in ods

We have loaded data into an ODS( 0PRC_DS01) in development server. It was successfully loaded into it all info objects.Reports were working well.
When we transported it to production, data loading was taking longggg time (15000 for 9 hours).So, we have done two things to improve the loading speed.
1) we have created an index based on the fields in the where clause RCLNT,RLDNR,RYEAR, DOCNR, POPER in JVSO1 table.
(JVSO1 is an R/3 table from where key data coming to datasource 0EN_JVA_2.)
2)We have updated the optmizer statistics.
Now the problem is, data is not loaded to one perticular info object JOINT VENTURE PARTNER in dso. Which was loaded successfully in development.
Please help us........We will assign points for helpful answers

Hi Chek in the transfer and update rules whether u mapped the fields with target and also check whether u have routine. and check whether the data is coming for that object from the source.

Load Balancing, User Visible Service objects, Runningman

1. Load Balancing
Load Balancing a partition has nothing to do with single or multi-threaded
behaviour of that partition. If you load balance a partition it means that
you can start 1 or more copies of that partition. How many to start can be
specified. If the partition is load balanced there will be router partition
that routes calls to any of the services in that partition.
Now let us look at a special kind of partition (load balanced partition
that has an Env visible SO and a user visible DbSession). This is one of
the design patterns to acccess the database efficiently. Each of these
partitions are single threaded because DbSession is inherently single
threaded. This partition is single threaded because Dbsession is single
threaded and not because the partition is replicated.
Another case is when you make a partition load balanced and it has only
SO(s) made out of tool classes and does not have Dbsessions then each of
these partitions can run multi-threaded beacuse there are no
single-threaded objects to make the partition single threaded
2. User Visibility
Case A - If you have only User visible SO(s) in a partition then each
behaves like a global named object. Whoever accesses it will get a copy of
their own.
Case B - If you have a user visible SO and an Env Visible SO in the same
partition then the user visible SO will be private to the partition and
cannot be accessed from outside that partition.
3. Running Man
When you run an application by clicking on the running man Forte uses its
default partitioning scheme and runs the application. The partition scheme
that you made will be used only when you run the application distributed or
from the partition workshop. This is the time you might encounter errors if
your partitioning is not right.

JBuilder: Failed to Load Super Class java.lang.Object

Hi I am a beginner of JBuilder. When I tried to compile some samples from JBuilder, the compiling failed because "Failed to Load Super Class java.lang.Object." Any clue to fix the bug?

Thanks for you guys' help. I found that when I create a project, the JBuilder's JDK homepath pointed by default to a JDK directory not existed. Therefore, I modified the JDK homepath through Tools/Configure JDKs. Then it worked.

Method to load a client demo in SSM 7.0

hello all
I would like to show a demo of SSM 7.0 to a client. Can there be a method to load the demo without having the Netweaver installed on the client machine ? I would like to show the basic features of SSM ie. the front end and the Entry and Approval. I heard there is a way to load a client demo for SSM 2007 version. does it also work for SSM 7.0 ?

Vijay,
Your best approach would be to have a VM of SSM on your laptop, since you need 64bit to run Netweaver CE and I am assuming you have a 32bit laptop. And you do have to have Netweaver CE installed for SSM 7.0 to run.
SSM 2007 could run on a 32bit machine and did not need Netweaver CE. Unfortunately, maintenance has ceased for SSM 2007 as of March 31, 2009. There are also significant differences between the 2007 and 7.0 versions, in the interface and the some additional tools, including a HTML Cube Builder, so you shouldn't be showing a client 2007.
When putting your VM together, remember that the HTML Cube Builder, the Diagram Manager, and the BI Connector are all separate installations in addtion to SSM 7.0.

Load Failure for Master Data object

                    Am doing daily master data loading for VENODR_ATTR master data object.... Am loading it through DELTA Update.... I got an error in Status Tab.

Caller 09 contains an error message.
Further analysis:
The error occurred in Service API .
Refer to the error message.
Procedure
How you remove the error depends on the error message.
Note
If the source system is a Client Workstation, then it is possible that the file that you wanted to load was being edited at the time of the data request. Make sure that the file is in the specified directory, that it is not being processed at the moment, and restart the request.
The Error Message is : - Update mode R is not supported by the extraction API.The application program for the extraction of the data was called using
update mode R . However, this is not supported by the InfoSource.
Kindly Help me if any of the Snd people might have face this kind of problem...

Hi Aluri,
The file might be used or being edited by some other person when you are doing the delta.
CHeck the source system connection @ AWB.activate it.
Follow these steps
1. Activate transfer rules for data source in source system.
2. Activate the ODS
3. Activate the update rules (ods to ods and also ods to cube)
5. Right-click at the ODS, choose 'Generate Export Data Source'
6. Replicate the data source
7.se38---->RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL for source system .
Then start data loading again.

Error while loading data in data storage object(ODS)

I am extracting data from data base with help of DB connect.I can see number of records are added into ODS.but when I try to activate data in ODS, its going to red.When I see error message as followes.Its is saying invalid char,when i see data in PSA , each and every record is Green.
1)Value 'closed' (hex. '0063006C006F007300650064') of characteristic STATUS_SC contains invalid characters.
2)Error when assigning SID: Action VAL_SID_CONVERT table CATG_CHG.
3)Activation of M records from DataStore object SC_CHNG terminated.
4)Process 000003 returned with errors.
5)Process 000009 returned with errors.

load the dat from PSA & into ods. Then select the errornous data in PSA and edit it for the info object STATUS_SC . (It say lower charectaristics. Check if the source system values.
1. If that is true then chage the value in PSA then load the PSA data to cube.
2. Else in the transfer rules write an abap code (ABAP ROUTIEN)(to upper).

Performance Issues due to Loading of ADF/JClient View Objects

Hi,
I developed a two-tier ADF/JClient application.
When the ADF/JClient application opens for the first time, there's a big delay
However opening it subsequently, takes less than half of the time to open the screen.
I think it might the xml files of different view objects which the framework loads for the first time, and thus takes a lot of time. And after that, the time to open the application reduces.
We have around 200 view objects in our application. Can this be the reason?
If yes, then can we load the view objects before ahead, or can we just load them at the very time they are requested ?

How To Load SINGLE CELL Value as Object - In 2D Object Array - InvalidCastException

Setup: ---- VB.net - Visual Studio 2010 - Excel Version 2010 - Option Strict ON
The following WORKS FINE all day long for loading MULTIPLE range values IE: ("F2:F5") or more into a 2D Object Array... No problem... as in the following..

The ws.range("F2:F5") values are stuffed into the myRangeTwo range variable as 2D Objects and then those are easily stuffed into the 2D object array...
But this does not work for a SINGLE cell range...

not as an object therefore is not possible to stuff it into an Object Array and so correctly causes the Invalid Cast Error...
How do you handle this seemingly ridiculously simple problem ??

Simply answer, you need to determine if the range is a single cell or multiple cells. So the following is geared for returning a DataTable for a start and end cell addresses that are different, granted there is no check to see if the cells are valid i.e.
end cell is before start cell i.e.
Since B1 and B10 is a valid range we are good but if we pass in F1:F1 or F10:F10 we must make a decision as per the if statement at the start of the function and if I were expecting this to happen I would have another function that returned a single value.

Error in master data load in time dependent info object

while loading master data(Texts) to time dependent info object i am getting error like <b>"INFODEP1 : Data record 8 ('00000512 ') : Invalid "to" date '1-2-2004 '</b>
can anyone help where exactly is the error and how to remove it.

There is no blank line before the <?xml. statement.It is the 1st line in the server.xml file.An note the server.xml file that I am trying to load now just after creating the project is the one that I have dowloaded from the application server.

LOADING ACTUAL COSTS FOR RE OBJECTS TO CUBE 0COOM_C02

Hi,
I use BC cube - 0COOM_C02. There is DS for loading costs of objects like cost centers, wbs, internal orders, network but there is no DS for loading costs of RE objects. At the moment,it is possible to see RE object like buildings only as part of the sender side (the origin of the cost).
Of course table COEP in R/3, which is the source of that data, does contain RE objects as part of the reciever side.
Is there a way to extract these records to this cube?

The number of records are bound to be less as there is a aggregation across request ids happening in the target z cube while in the lower cube the requests are not getting aggregated ..
Best and the only way to check is to use a query and check result sets by including and excluding the requids.

I have Profit Center Managerial Hierarchy which is connected to R3 QAS. It is in the infoobject 0PROFIT_CTR. I want to load the same Hierarchy from 0PROFIT_CTR to BCS info object 0BCS_PRCTR. Is there any way to do it.

It's easier to load a new IO from the same datasource in R/3, not from 0PROFIT_CTR.

How to flush the loaded bytes of a Sound object

Hi all,
I've now been looking for a solution to my problem for quite
a while now, but so far without any success, so I thought I'll give
this forum a try.. maybe someone in here can help ;-)
Ok here's the deal: I'm trying to create a simple audio
player in flex that is able to play mp3 audio streams. I'm not
looking for a solution that works with an FMS (Flash Mediaserver)
and I do also not need code that shows me how to play a remote mp3
file (which of course is also some sort of streaming streaming). I
have an icecast internet radio server which is streaming a constant
flow of mp3 encoded data. I can connect to that stream with
standard media players like winamp or mplayer.
I've been playing around with the
URLRequest-SoundLoaderContext-Sound-SoundChannel-combo and tried
many different combinations, but somehow the Sound object won't let
go of the bytes it already played. The Sound.bytesLoaded will just
keep increasing and my memory will just keep being eaten by the
Flashplayer. Is there any way to free that memory again without
having to destroy the Sound object? Or if I have to destroy it, how
do I make sure that the user doesn't realize that I just switched
the old Sound object with a fresh and empty one?
I was also trying to get a NetConnection-NetStream-combo to
play my stream, but here I failed even sooner: Even though the
NetStream seems to be receiving the data from my server (Firefox
states that it is receiving data after I invoke
NetStream.play(url_to_stream)) I'm not able to get that data to
come out of my speakers. I just can't hear anything :-(
I'm pretty new to flex, as and flash, so please forgive me my
ignorance ;) I really tried to figure this one out for about 3 days
now..
I'd be very grateful for any hints or advice :-)

If you look at the Javadoc for BigInteger you will see a toString() method that allows one to specify the radix. Hex is just radix 16.
