Load html document inside flash

I have been informed that it is possible to load an html
document inside flash, that you use an HTML tag, but I cannot find
it in the scripts, can anyone show an example and explain how to
make it work or if there is a tutorial for creating this inside of
flash.
Thanks

Dear All
I do not know why they call themselves professionals in flash and html, while they can not help us with a simple webpage inside a flash movie.
No offense
I was trying the whole week to do that by checking if any body post any tip over the internet, but as usual the profs said that you can only make it in test and only text and bla bla bla.....
Let me tell you that I have managed to open a whole webpage in my flash website.
I have this page that is html and have so many codes and things that I do not know, and in my flash website I have a menu which one of its buttons must open that html file, and as every body knows that you will loose the whole work if you poped up another window from your flash website.
So Cheer up I have managed to open my html page in my flash movie website.
You can check it up following this link www.compuhometech.com/html_inside_flash/index.html
If you like to have it please mail me : [email protected]
Thank you

  • Is It possible to load Html page inside Adobe Flash...?

    Hi Everyone!
    Is It possible to load Html page Inside Adobe Flash CS5.
    Any help would be a great help...!
    Originally, i wanted to bring in through <IFRAME> but i don't see that flash understands that.
    Thanks in advance!
    -yajiv

    Not exactly sure how you where planning to display that HTML content in relation to the overall page, but given the limitations of Flash... that may just not be possible...
    But, it would be a simple matter to display an HTML iframe over the top of or behind a Flash .swf... So while the iframe would not be a part of the .swf, it certainly could be designed to make it look as though it were.
    Controling the stacking order or layering of content on a Web page is accomplished through z-indexing. Correctly positioned and z-indexed, the iframe could apear over the top of the .swf... the .swf in effect being the background... OR the iframe could appear behind the .swf and with a transparent section in the .swf, the iframe would appear through that hole. If there is navigation or links in the iframe, they will be blocked by the .swf though.
    http://www.w3schools.com/cssref/pr_pos_z-index.asp
    But this may be an option....

  • Is It possible to load Html page inside Adobe Flash Professional..?

    Hi Everyone,
         Is It possible to load Html page inside Adobe Flash Professional or Adobe Flex. Thanks in Advance.

    probably not the way you are thinking.
    flash textfields and their extensions have a limited number of html tags they can parse so, in general, html from most web pages will not display, as expected in flash.

  • Interacting with html documents from flash

    Hi,
    I'm a newbie in actionscript. I created a world map in flash. The map has regions (Europe, North America, Latin America, etc.). The regions on the map are defined as buttons.
    The final flash map will be embedded in an html document (map.html). The idea is that when you click for example the "Europe" button on the flash movie, this will open an html document called Europe.html and will show it underneath the map flash (inside map.html).
    The "Europe.html" for example contains a list of countries.
    In this mission I have 2 problems:
    1.       What script I have to attach to every region button on the flash map so it will call the right html file into the div on the map.html?
    2.       What script do I have to put inside the html document?
    Any help will be much appreciated. thank you
    Arie M.

    assign your button an instance name (in the properties panel after selecting your button) and use that name in the actions panel:
    yourbutton.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,f);
    function f(e:MouseEvent):void{
    navigateToURL(new URLRequest("map.html"),"youriframe")

    Basically a table with some text in it ... but then i need to save this in some file (this is still done in the php) and after it is saved in a file I need to somehow show it in its table form inside a textarea in flash. Or if not in a textarea in some other way inside the flash movie i need to display that content in its table form. What I am using now is a web text editor from http://ckeditor.com/ which provides a way to paste the table in the content management system (or admin panel) and then it saves it to a file. The problem is how do I display the table inside flash ?

    Flash has very limited support of html tags and tables are not included.  So if you want to show an html table then your best bet will be to link to an html web page.

  • How to load a pdf inside flash

    I need open a pdf inside flash how I do this?

    armandix,
    > I need open a pdf inside flash how I do this?
    You can't, really. Flash Player doesn't support Acrobat.
    Specifically,
    you can't open a PDF in Flash and have it act like a PDF
    (scrollable,
    searchable, etc.). But you can certainly convert your PDF (or
    a page from
    your PDF) to an image format and import that.

  • Open local html document in flash

    I've been using the getURL command to open documents on a
    remote server. I need to be able to open a local document on a
    local intranet. Is the a command to open a local html file on a
    local or networked drive?

    Yes, you can open an HTML file in an in-app browser by adding the HTML file to the HTMLResources.zip. Create a button with a Go To URL action that looks something like this:
    HTMLResources/HTML_Local/index.html
    Make sure that you create your HTMLResources.zip file properly and upload it to the folder. You can test this in the Adobe Content Viewer on either the iPad or the Desktop as long as you preview the folio (not the article or layout).
    Basically, you use the same technique to link to the HTML file that you use to link to PDF files. For details, see the DPS Tips app > Advanced Overlays > Linking to PDF Files.

    Hi Rhondavas77,
    To enable/disable Just-In-Time debugging
    On the Tools menu, click Options.
    In the Options dialog box, select the Debugging folder.
    In the Debugging folder, select the Just-In-Time page.
    In the Enable Just-In-Time debugging of these types of code box, select or clear the relevant program types:
    Managed, Native, or Script.
    To disable Just-In-Time debugging, once it has been enabled, you must be running with Administrator privileges. Enabling Just-In-Time debugging sets a registry key, and Administrator privileges are required to change that key.
    Click OK.

  • Embedding HTML inside Flash File

    HI.
    I would like to inquire on how to embed a HTML file insides a
    Flash File.
    This is the scenario, I have several HTML files, e.g. a.html,

    How can I do this? Guides / Tutorials would help.
    I am a bit a newbie in the world of Flash. Thank you in

    Dynamic text fields do support some HTML formatting, but
    it's important
    to understand that at this time, the supported tags comprise
    only a very
    small subset of the full HTML specification. (Search the Help
    panel for
    "supported HTML tags," and you'll see which ones they are.)
    As such, Flash
    Player simply doesn't load HTML files.
    What Flash Player does load is XML, so if your documents are
    formatted
    as XHTML (that is, technically XML), you'll have the
    beginnings of something
    you can use. Flash won't necessarily be able to display
    elements it doesn't
    understand (e.g. tables), but because the document is XML,
    you'll be able to
    parse those tags and extract information from them, using
    what Flash *is*
    capable of displaying.

  • Loading scripts - what's the difference between loading into edge via script window and including a script in the html document?

    I have a html page that loading in two edge compositions and an external custom javascript file. The javacsript file includes the bootstrapCallback so I can store references to the loaded compositions and can communicate with them. This seems to work well. The problem have is when I also try and load in a custom plugin javascript files into the edge compositions via the script window inside edge - I don't understand how this works, for example if I load in a custom javascript file into one of the compositions can only that composition use it's funcitionality? Is loading in scripts via edge script window the same as including in html document, I'm confused how the two relate, please help me understand.

    I'm afraid you can't. If you were reading your HTML
    documents with a
    browser, that would be one thing. Browsers are HTML-reading
    machines. The
    Flash Player is not. The Flash Player reads Flash files.
    While Flash does
    support a modicum of the full HTML spec -- see "About
    supported HTML tags"
    in the documentation for details -- Flash does not, as a
    rule, open HTML
    documents.

  • Getting the title of an HTML document displayed inside a JEDitorPane

    Hello everybody,
    I am currently working on an HTML help file browser displaying the document inside a JEditorPane. Now I wanna do this: get the current document's title (inside <title>...</title>) and set the title of the JInternalFrame containing the editor pane (MDI - I know) to the document title mentioned.
    Setting the JInternalFrame title is not a problem, but when I tried to extract the title of the document, several attempts failed:
    String content = hypertextPane.getText();Applying this method gave me the following content:
    <html>
      <head>
      </head>
      <body>
        <p>
        </p>
      </body>
    </html>Looks somehow meager... :-X
    Document currentDoc = hypertextPane.getDocument();The "document" this method returned only consisted of HTML and BIDI ROOT as root elements, and HTML had only one child element: BODY.
    And the attempt
    docTitle = currentDoc.getProperty(Document.TitleProperty);simply returned NULL. :-(
    The editor pane's editor kit is:
    new javax.swing.text.html.HTMLEditorKit()The default content type is, of course, text/html, and I never display a document which is not HTML with my editor pane.
    Can please anybody help me? Thanks a lot!
    Regards
    Jacek.

    getProperty(Document.TitleProperty) does NOT work in
    my application. Here is the method I wrote for
    extracting the document title:
    * Returns the title of the document currently
    ntly displayed by the browser
    * @return <ul><li>the document's title<tt> -
    t> - </tt>if such a title
    *                 exists</li>
    *             <li><tt>null - </tt>otherwise</li>
    *         </ul>
    public String getDocumentTitle() {
    String content = new String();
    String title = new String();
    title = (String) ((HTMLDocument)
    cument) hypertextPane.getDocument()).
    getProperty(Document.TitleProperty);
    return (title);
    }The HTML pages I display with my browser all do have a
    <title>...</title>. However, my method keeps returning
    NULL all the time.
    I built my browser with JDK 1.3.1 LINUX i586, but I
    tested it with both 1.3.1 and 1.4.1. The results are
    always the same. :-(
    I think the promblem is, that getProperty(Document.TitleProperty) returns null until the document is loaded completly (this happens assynchronly). Add the following code to handle this issue:
            hypertextPane.addPropertyChangeListener( new PropertyChangeListener()
                        public void propertyChange( PropertyChangeEvent e )
                        if( e.getPropertyName().equals( "page" ) )
                            title = hypertextPane.getDocument().getProperty(Document.TitleProperty).toString();
                    } );I use it this way
