Load html page into a table area

I have an html page that I would like to add to a table area
on my main page. How do I do this? Can anyone help?

Investigate "server-side includes". But beware - you CANNOT
put a
stand-alone HTML page INTO a stand-alone HTML page. You have
to make the
incoming HTML into a fragment so that the final assembled
page still
validates.

Insert one html page into another html page

Hi there,
I wonder if sombody can help. I am trying to insert one short
html page into another page. I could not find any option or feature
in Dreamweaver that allow me to insert the page at all. The page I
want to insert has the links and it is a short page, just like a
banner. When I update the links on that page it will update all
other pages in the website. I do not have to open many pages to
update. I have been using FrontPage and I am now converting to
Dreamweaver. Some codes from FrontPage does not work in
Dreamweaver. I would very much appreciate if somebody can help with
the codes.
This is my website so that you can understand what I mean. At
the top of the screen there are many links that are from one page I
inserted into index.html. I use FrontPage. But, Dearmweaver does
not work that way.

Loading new pages into frames

Hey Murray
or anyone else : )
This might seem like a redundant question but it would seem
there is some confusion surrounding it.
I say this because I can't seem to get an answer.
I have a site that uses a page with a frame and a swf control
( just a swf with buttons that load the new pages into the frame.
click on photos and it loads the photos.html page into that frame
and so on. )
I won't work in IE just displays errors. Is there a work
around?
Is there a better way to do this that would just entail
building a new nav control?
Any help would be great!!! please bear in mind it must work
in IE, FF & SAFARI

Judging from his previous posts on the subject, I don't think
you
misinterpreted him at all. He has often posted a
comprehensive article
on the disadvantages of using Flash navigation and many

discourage it as well.
And you would be hard pressed to find anybody anywhere
encouraging
the use of frames in any but the most limited cases these
days.
I can see where you might want to use a frame here, but since

to be an all Flash site, why not use Flash's built-in
features to load
other movies. I think that would be loadMovie().

Were you able to see Alan's first reply? He may have guessed
what the
problem is.
If that doesn't do it, I suspect you might have better luck
in one
of the Flash forums. There may be more people in there
accustomed to
creating Flash-only sites.
Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance, but FWIW, one or more
of the
"pages" seems to link to a broken "Untitled_Document.flv"
file.

how to load external html page into flash? (AS3)

You cannot load an html page into Flash, though you can try to load the html code that it contains into a textfield. Flash supports only a very limited number of html tags, so it is highly likely you won't get what you are after if you are reading an html file that hasn't been edited for Flash specifically. Just look up the TextField.htmlText property in the AS3 help documents and it lists the html tags that are supported.
For AS3 you need to look into the URLLoader class as far as loadng an extrernal text file goes.

Question on saving html page into excel

Even if you need to click a button to parse the page to a parser, you still need to transmit the page back to the server to process, unless you want the client to do it, in which case he/she will have to need a program.
Given by the views floating around in this forum, the idea is that doing a re-query is as costly if not less costly than re-submitting the html page. By relegating to the back-end processing of data using the database, you can ensure the data is up-to-date and you can control the programs executing. That is, you are not worried about user submitting garbage html page for you to process.
If you data size is not large, there is always the session memory to use but it's not really wise as your server's memory is much costlier than network bandwidth. It's the whole server becomes slow versus your DB connection slow.
If you really need to use the re-submitting of your html page back to the server to process, you can always use hidden form values in html to post your data back. However, I can't remember whether there's a limit to the amount of data you can post. Think it's 1024K or something.

probably not the way you are thinking.
flash textfields and their extensions have a limited number of html tags they can parse so, in general, html from most web pages will not display, as expected in flash.

HTML-page into flash slideshow?

I'm am trying to load a HTML-page into a flash slideshow. The slideshow is going to run locally on the computer and the HTML-page (or RSS-feed if that is easier) is recieved from the company´s web-page. I have designed in a way similar to yours.
In one frame, I have tree in which all its leaves have a link.
Clicking a link on one frame will display the corresponding page on the other frame.
All the pages displaying in the frame were designed separately.
tree.do refers to the name of the controller in which this content get displayed in the left and default.do refers to the name of the controller whose content get displayed in the right in default.
Clicking the link on the left specified in the tree will replace the default.do content with a table named deptable.do.
In the below code specified zpgms1 refers to the application name and pagedivider.do refers to the name of the controller in which the page was divided into frames.
Tree.do page holds the codings in which tree was designed and the link attribute holds default.do page initially and clicking the link would activate the deptable page which is assigned to a variable.
In the below code I'm replacing the content of default.do by concatenating the default.do code with deptable.do
