how can I load music on my Iphone. I have the following problem when I go into itunes onmy iPhone, the iPod is then only titles on the iPhone itself, "List empty".

Your problem is not iPhone related you Should ask IN iTunes for Windows A's it's purely a iTunes for Windows issue

Sorry it was not 100% clear. When loading music to my iphone currently it will only let me load all my music or select a genre eg artist,playlist etc. But i want to be able to load by album name. As some albums are compellations so currently i would have to select each person individually. As i don't want to load all my music onto my phone.
My ipod touch has the function i want, but is not the same on my iphone.

After loading music on my iphone it no longer appears in my phone after using itunes match.

Meaning, I loaded music to listen to offline. Later in the evening I used itunes match so that I could acees my library from my phone while on a friend's wi-fi. When I switched back to listen offline, all of my songs were gone. Not only that, but they were replaced by songs that keep appearing in my playlists even after I delete them.
Can I get a little help? I love itunes match, but hate this part of it.

I had this problem. I held down the power switch to power down completely. Takes a few seconds. Then use the power switch to turn on. Might take a couple goes.

If you've been using your phone as recommended in the User Guide, you've synched your contacts with a cloud service like Google, MobileMe or iCloud, or with a program on your computer like Address Book or Outlook.
Your contacts should still be safe in those programs and ready for resynching.
If, on the other hand, you've relied only on the iPhone to maintain your contacts, then you have just learned a valuable lesson, and this is why is is NOT recommended by Apple.
Likewise, it's recommended that photos get uploaded from your phone to your computer for safe keeping. Did you do this?

With your iphone plugged into itunes go to the tables for music, photos, etc and set to sync with the album,playlist you want.

I have a Macbook Pro operating system OSX 10.7.5 My Itunes version is 12.01.26. Here's the problem: with the older versions of ITunes I could connect a device and highlight and drag whatever music I wanted to load from my library to the device. Now, there's a different process which I cannot fathom. You should still be able to manually manage the music on your iPhone within iTunes. Make sure that when your iPhone is plugged in, look in the Summary tab to see if “Manually manage music and videos” is enabled and you can even you turn off Automatically Sync when this iPhone is connected. Syncing requires a backup as part of the sync process.
Delete any existing backups in iTunes under Edit > Preferences > Devices (or simply move them to a different folder on the computer) then try a backup or sync.

How are you trying to transfer it and what are your setting on iTunes. I'm not on a computer that has iTunes at the moment so I'm going from memory and similar issue. If iTunes is set to sync music then I don't think you can select and drag, if set to manual manage music then you can. Also make sure you are dragging to music on the iPhone.

I just discovered that I can't load photos and music to my iPhone.

I have loaded a bunch of photos of my recent trip to my new iPhone only to find out that I can't load music to the phone without erasing the photos. Is there a workaround to this?

I loaded the photos through iTunes from iPhoto, the folder is on my computer in iPhotos. And still checked in iTunes. Here is the exact message I get when I click on "Synch Music":
Are you sure you want to sync music? All existing content on the iPhone “Arthur Fenster’s iPhone” will be removed and replaced with songs and playlists from your iTunes library.
Maybe I am misinterpreting but it sounds like "existing content" means the photos, which can be put back on but then I suspect the music will be replaced.
