Load music playlist from MacBook to IPad

Is it possible to transfer Playlists from itunes on a macbook 10.6 to the ipad air? The songs are on the air but not the playlists. I really don't want to set these up again on the ipad air.

Yes.
Connect the iPad to iTunes, select it under devices and in the Music tab select the playlists to be synced.

Make sure that you are signed into the correct ID in Setting>iTunes and App Stores>Apple ID. If you use iTunes Match, you have to disable it on the iPad before you can sync your music.

  • HT1351 can not sync all playlists from macBook to iPAD

As it says in the title. The playlists contain podcasts which are not listed in the podcast menu and a ripped CD, all are ticked on the MacBook. Do a sync everything and they arrive on the iPAD, then change to ticked and they get deleted even though they are ticked.
    Help!!

Set your Gmail up as an Exchange Account on your iPad. You contacts, calendar and email will all sync.

Anyone know how to transfer music playlists from iMac to iPad?

    Sync with iTunes.
Connect the iPad to the Mac and launch iTunes.
Click on the iPad name on the left side under devices.
Click on the Music Tab on the right.
Click on all of the albums or playlists that you want to sync.
Click on the Sync Music Heading.
Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes

  • How do I load music videos from my computer to my iPad when I don't have import in my iTunes

How do I load music videos from my computer on to my iPad when I don't have "import" on my iTunes?

Could you explain more? WHat do you mean that you do not have "import" on iTunes? Are you trying to find an import command to add the videos to your iTunes media library? It is called Add to library and is found in the iTunes File menu.
But you can add files to the iTunes media library by just dropping the files onto the iTunes icon.

  • After upgrading my iPad to iOS 6 some of the music playlists from iOS 5 no longer work, because they are not available on iOS 6, eg. recently added, recently played. Should I delete them?

Since the upgrade to iOS 6 some of my music playlists from iOS 5 do not work, eg recently added, recently played, probably because they are not available on iOS6. Should I delete them.

I should mention that I have the same issue with my Iphone 4s, now using iOS6.

  • How do I share a hard drive with the new iMac to load a disk from macbook pro

How do I share a hard drive with the new iMac to load a disk from macbook pro. I want to install office for Mac from a disk but dont know how to share har drive from macpro
    thanks

The new iMac's don' t have DVD drives however almost all have a disk drive. The easiest method of installing MS Office for Mac on your new iMac is to download it from Microsoft and then input the code you received when you purchased your original license. Otherwise you can use the DVD drive on your MBP to install on your iMac, that feature is called Remote Disc. Instructions for Remote Disc can be found at:http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5287

When syncing music playlist from my itunes to ipod, I get a message advising some songs could not be found. Why is this, when the songs are in my playlist.

By design, the organizer (and any other database management systems) is there to prevent you from duplicating your media files. The catalog management allows you to have the same image in different categories or albums. Duplication in different folders is to be absolutely avoided.
The same image file can have multiple tags like 'family', 'vacations', 'birthdays' and be present in three different albums with the same names. On obvious advantage is less disk space. Another one with your present folder system is that if you edit one of your duplicates, the other ones are unchanged.
I don't see an easy way to make your present folder structure simplified for the organizer ...

  • Cannot sync local music from macbook to ipad

I have an iPad mini running iOS 8.1.2, and a new Macbook Pro running Yosemite 10.10.1. Macbook has iTunes 12.0.1.26.
I have also had an iPhone for years, and am used to being able to sync playlists from the laptop to the phone by checking the appropriate boxes in iTunes. Last year, when I got the iPad, I subscribed to iTunes Match and have been getting my music from the cloud on that device. However, not wanting to fork over the $25 bucks annually to continue this, I let it expire, expecting to be able to sync music manually the same way I do on my phone.
However, when I connect the iPad and bring up iTunes, and click on "Music" under Settings, it just tells me that iTunes Match is still on and music can be synced only from the Cloud. When I click on "Music" under On My Device, I see I have about 30 songs actually on the iPad, which I must have played along the way and which stayed downloaded. But none of my larger music library shows up as being available to sync, even though it exists locally on the MacBook (I made sure to do this before Match expired).
When I go to iPad Settings and go to Music, I do not get options to turn Match on or off, only a link to "Renew iTunes Match." It is not allowing me any other option, period. I also get this link under "iTunes & App Store."
Am I stuck with the ghost of iTunes Match now, never to sync anything from the laptop again? I am able to do this fine with the iPhone, but I don't think I ever engaged iTunes Match on that device. I'm sorry I ever subscribed in the first place; I just want my own music off my own laptop. Is there a way to make this happen?
    Thanks for any help.

    Hey Talkingriver,
Thanks for the question. Have you tried signing out of your account on the iOS device(s) and then back in again (with the same account)? If not, let’s try that:

  • Music from MacBook Pro/iPad/iPhone never streams immediatly

    Anybody recognizes this problem?
Everytime that I start a musicfile from either my MacBook Pro, iPad or iPhone I have to switch the audio output back from ' Apple TV'  to 'Computer' and than back to 'Apple TV' otherwise the Apple TV is automatically switched on but no music sounds... My idea is that with the first time I choose it Apple TV is switched on, but than has to me activated, which only seems to be possible doing one step back (choose Computer) and than again one forward by choosing the Apple TV again.
I was hoping that this problem was solved with:
    Apple TV Software Update 4.4.3
    Feature
    Summary
    Audio output
Addresses an issue in which audio may not play through the optical port when the TV is turned off.
But there still seems to be some problems with this...
    Any solutions or suggestions?!?

  • HT1329 Transfer music & playlist from ipod to computer

My ipod does not work.  Dropped in water.  When I opened the itunes program I discovered that the device is recognized.  The itunes library for some reason does not show my music that was previously downloaded and the playlists that I created.  I also loaded some music from CDs that I own.  Is there some way to copy the music and playlists from the ipod to the computer so that I can import it to a new ipod?
