Load order for adding files

Each time I add video files to a new project (in PE 11) the files are added alphabetically, even though the files are sorted in the source folder by date. Is there some way to add the files in the same order as they are in the source folder, ie by date? Also is there some way to re-order the files once they are added - other than one by one as they're are about 50 of them. Many thanks

Importing the folder (where files are ordered by date) still results in vids being alpha sorted once imported. The Organiser route works, if I import into Project assets first. But for some reason I can only import up to four vids at a time manually. If I try more nothing happens; ditto trying to import the whole folder. Maybe the software is trying to comply but there is no 'egg timer' or progress bar or such to let me know something is happening. There is also an issue where once I have dragged the vids across into the project assets box, the scroll frame doesn't roll down to provide an empty space for the next batch drag and drop from the Organiser screen. So I need to move to the Projects Assets window and scroll down manually which means the highlighted vids in the Organiser section are unhighlighted. No, it's not a huge deal, but as I'm dealing with about 30 odd vids having to remember which ones I last did is a minor pain; especially as most of the vids start as black boxes in preview. I also have to manually adjust the Elements and the Organiser windows so I can operate. If I have been too lazy to find out there is an 'arrange all' function - my apologies! Being able to simply import the vids in the order they are displayed in the source folder would be really helpful. I dare say this is no big deal for anyone dealing with less than (say) 10 vids. But many thanks - this has helped muchly anyway.

1) What you downloaded should be a packed file (zip, tar.gz, etc) that needs to be unpacked into the directory of your choice.

Data loading mechanism for flat file loads for hierrarchy

Hi all,
We have a custom hierarchy which is getting data from a flat file that is stored in the central server and that gets data from MDM through XI. Now if we delete few records in MDM, the data picked in BI will not consist of the records which are deleted. Does it mean that the hierarchy itself deletes the data it consists of already and does a full load or does it mean every time we load the data to the BI, do weu delete the records from the tables in BI and reload?
Also we have some Web Service(gets loaded from XI) text data sources.
Is the logic about updating the hierrarchy records different as compared to the existing web service interfaces?
Can anyone please tell me the mechanism behind these data loads and differentiate the same for above mentioned data loads?

create the ODS with the correct keys. And load full loads from the flat files. You can have a cube pulling data from the ODS.
Load data in ODS
Create the cube.
Generate export datasource ( rsa1 > rt clk the ods > generate export Datasource )
Replicate the export ds ( rsa1 > source system > ds overview > search the ds starting with 8 + the ODS name
press the '+' button activate the transfer rules and comm str
create the update rules for the cube with the above infource ( same as '8ODSNAME' Datasource )
create infopackage with intial load (in the update tab)
Now load data to cube
Now load new full loads to ODS
create a new infopackage for delta (in the update tab)
run in infopackage. (any changes / new records will be loaded to cube)

Slow loading speed for static files

We are running an azure website on a S2 hostingplan and have a bundled and minified javascript file that is 1.6MB large. The load times of this file are sometimes 600ms and other times it suddenly jumps up to 4 seconds or even higher.
To improve the loading times we tried creating an azure cdn endpoint that loads the files from the azure websites and now we sometimes see loading times of around 200ms. But sometimes it still jumps up to 4 seconds or higher.
Can anyone give me an idea what is going on, I assume the larger loading times are due to disk access and figured that adding an cdn would fix this problem but as it turns out it didn't.
What is going on here?

To isolate and help us investigate, can you try the following:
create a dummy site in the same web hosting plan as the site at stake. e.g. give it some random test name.
Drop that javascript file in the wwwroot folder of that site
Do you see the same slowness? If so, can you share the name of this dummy site to help us investigate?

No Load Option for ASE Files in PS 7.0?

I am still using photoshop 7.0, and was looking to load some
swatches from kuler, but I cannot! The only swatch files supported
by this version of photoshop are ACO and ACT... am I missing
something here.. or is this true?
If it is, how can I make it load the ASE swatches as well?

kuler currently works with Adobe Photoshop CS2 using ASE
files. There is no support for ACO and ACT.

SQL Loader tool for control file creation

We are planning to use SQL*Loader to move a lot of data from mainframe to Oracle 10g database. We will write the data in flat files and use SQL*Loader to load these files into tha database. There are more than 100 tables with lot of columns in each. So, I was just wondering if there is any tool available (visual mappings etc.) that can help create the control files for the SQL*Loader, so that I don't have to manually type all the lengthy control files

sql*loader is capable to generate the controlfile for external tables which are pretty much the same

Load limitations for Captivate Files in RoboHelp?

We are investigating RoboHelp 9 as a solution for an upcoming help project that would involve a large number of Captivate demos (approximately 70) ranging in size from 1 - 5MB. Has anyone run into issues using large numbers of Captivate files in a RoboHelp project? Is there a maximum file size for Captivate demos in RoboHelp? Any other issues? I'd be very interested in hearing from anyone with experience in this area.

There really shouldn't be any load limitations other than those imposed by the Captivate files themselves. My guess is that you plan on using WebHelp, no? And if you are, the Captivate demos will be loaded as needed from the server. So the only lag you will see is the delay for what it takes for the server to serve up the demo itself.
Hopefully this answers your question. If not, post back and we will take another stab at it.

User Exit for sale order for adding a new partner

i am having the Scenario to add a new partner in sales order in both VA01 / va02 transaction .
i am using the exit named MV45AFZZ . (USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAP) for this scenario.
Its perfectly working for VA01 , but not VA02 .. why ..
can any1 explain me ..

You want to add partners in Sales order, the partners data will be saved in VBPA table.
The USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAP is used for values for fields at sales document item level.
For you its working for VA01 because , you have modified the strucure XVBPA for partners
data and it is not saved yet to the database table so it is available in VA01 and in VA02
it is checking the VBPA table there this data will not have been saved please check VBPA
for your sales order.
Please check below things.
1) Check whether you have passed UPDKZ in XVBPA UPDKZ has below values INSERT (I),DELETE (D),UPDATE(U) etc nad
if it doent works
2) Please check the SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE form and check XVBPA here whether it contains the
entries you modified if not use the same code as you used in USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAP
then these changes will be saved to database and hopefully you will get it in VA02 as well
also pleaseuse the flag UPDKZ whenever you modifying this tables for your case
XVBPA-UPDKZ.

How to delete the order for adding money?

I have tried to add money on my apple ID but i had some problem with my bank.Apparently i reached the limit to order and all of my orders are pending now.
So i can not do anything now.

Is there a shortcut for adding file extensions?

I have an archive of over 15,000 images, all TIFF, JPEG and Photoshop images. None of them have file extensions. They were saved back when Mac did not use extensions. Now they will not open if I just double click on them... I must add the correct extension, then it opens fine.
It will take me FOREVER to click on each one, type in the extension, then click "Add".
Is there a script or shortcut to name all these old files? Or shareware?
Or at the very LEAST is there a way to turn off that annoying dialog box to confirm that I want to add the extension?

I have a whole lot of very old graphic files, and thought I would try Kappy's recommendation of Renamer4Mac, combined with a Spotlight search to see how speedily one could add extensions. So did a Spotlight search on a backup folder that contains many and varied sub-folders containing many and various images. To get the old pict files I hit command-F from the top level folder, selected that folder (WHY does search have "This Mac" as the default???), and for Kind I selected Other and typed:

in the blank field. It returned a list of 961 old pict files. Launched Renamer and told it to insert the text pct, at position 1 from left, suffix only. Then dragged a batch of the files from the search results window into the top pane of the Renamer window, clicked the Rename Files button, et voila'! The files were renamed (and no confirm dialog box).
To figure out what to put in the Kind:Other field, just do a search on Kind:Images and note the different types. Thus, something that needed the psd extension would be Adobe Photoshop file, to find tifs, it would be TIFF image. You might have some "QuickDraw picture" as an image kind, they are pict files. Plain jpegs can be brought up with Kind: JPEG image, extension jpg. And so on.

What software do you suggest for adding file extensions

I need to open files with the extension vip & vp3, unable to do so at present. How can I open these and do I need to get some software?

Those may be Windows music files. You will need a Windows player most likely. That may mean running Windows on your Mac. To learn more do a Google search of your own.

Adwaita theme overrides ~/.gtkrc-2.0 (GNOME 3.14); change load order?

Is there some way to change the load order for these files?
For example, if I look at file opens when opening audacity and gvim:

The warps-slider setting has zero effect, because it is set to 1 in /usr/share/themes/Adwaita/gtk-2.0/gtkrc! If I edit that file, it works exactly as I want it to... but that feels like an ugly hack.
Isn't the whole idea with a per-user gtkrc that it always overrides everything else?

This is (unfortunately) how the theme engine init works, it's called after gtk_rc_set_default_files() in the GTK+ code -- what you can hack is this:
mkdir ~/.themes && cd .themes
cp -a /usr/share/themes/Adwaita .
echo 'include "custom.rc"' >> Adwaita/gtk-2.0/gtkrc
cp ~/.gtkrc-2.0 Adwaita/gtk-2.0/custom.rc
You can delete everything else in ~/.themes/Adwaita except the gtk-2.0/ subdir *I think* and not have to leave the rest there, but you should test...

Parent-Child Apps and Classloading...Wrong load order?

Ah, everyone's favourite two oracle topics slammed into one. I've been using Oracle's parent-child application deployment for some time, to reasonable success in Oracle App Server 9.0.4. Though screwing about with the classloaders in this way usually fills me with dread, the benefits of developing child apps in isolation from the parent are excellent.
In general I have always deployed in the following way:

Now I am trying to upgrade to oc4j 10.1.3.x, and I seem to be trapped in configuration hell. OC4J now appears to load the child application first, which inevitably screws up the classloader for the parent app. Surely this doesn't make any sense, as the parent app is the dependency and should be started first?!
I haven't discovered any way to control the load order for apps in the config files; the only workaround is to set the load-on-startup for the child app to "false". This is fine, until I redeploy through Oracle EM, which switches load-on-startup back to true. Again, there doesn't seem to be any way in deployment to control this parameter!
Why in the heck would oc4j have changed it's load priority for parent child apps? Is there any way to force load order through config? Am I just crazy and no one else has seen this?

Thanks for the reply. Gave that a look, but unfortunately, that link concerns a problem at a lower level than the one I've encountered. A classloading problem alerted me to what I believe is a bigger issue, namely that oc4j appear to be launching my child app before the parent app, and this consistently screws up the initialisation phases for both ear files. This appears to be an explicit decision in the Oracle app loader about which war file (parent or child) to launch first, but for the life of me, I can't find the offending code by decompiling oc4j.
If it turns out that this intentional, surely this must be a mistake? The parent app is the dependency and must be loaded first! or I missing something big...

Load order overwrite impossible and ORA-01790

I'm using Oracle 11g Rel. 1 EE and I have some problems with a mapping in OWB. I mapped my customer dimension (SCD type 2) with the corresponding tables. The first problem is that I can't overwrite the load order for this dimension.
I've set up the customer dimension with following levels: customer, city, state, country, region and I also configured the foreign keys. The load order is changing every time I do an inbound synchronization for this dimension. In the manual it is written that the order is based on the foreign key relations but it is not in the correct order. When I try to change the loading order within the mapping and save the mapping, the settings will be resetted after I closed the mapping window. Why is the loading order changing all the time, although the dimension has not changed? And why can't I overwrite the loading order in the mapping, is there any restriction for this setting?
My second problem is that I get the error: ORA-01790: expression must have same datatype as corresponding expression. In the sql code it seems that the problem is my attribute "Birthyear". The source table delivers an integer value for age. The dimension stores the birthyear as char(4). Therefore I used an expression to convert the age into the correct year as char(4), but I still get the error message. I assume that the compiler gives me the correct line number where the problem occurs and it is always where Birthyear occurs. Did anybody experience a similar problem and knows a solution for this?
