Load photos onto Nano.

For some reason none of my programs seem to work to load photos onto the nano. When I tried to load photos through itunes (latest versions), it froze the computer. Do I have to purchase another program to load the photos?

My system. Why can't I get any photos onto the Nano? System 10.4.11,ipod 1.03, iTunes 8.02, Quicktime 7.5 pro, Safari 3.2.1,
Message One: The iPod is connected to a low-speed USB 1.1 Port, You should connect to a high-speed USB 2.0 port if one is available. (I never got this message before. Don't think this is true.)
Message Two: Some of your photos were not be copied to the iPod because they cannot be displayed on your iPod.
What is going on? What kind of photos, videos can I see on the iPod?

So I have no way to put them on....I dont know if my iTunes knows that i have a nano or anything but does anyone know how to fix it? also would an error message saying 'Failed to locate supported file types or there are no photos found on this device', that constantly pops up when i connect my ipod to my computer, have anything to do with it?
Sorry that is so long....but if you can figure it out or know where something is that might help then reply!

THe disk could not be read from or written to.'Would it have anything to do with another error message that i get, ever since the first time i plugged it in, reading 'Failed to locate supported file types or there are no photos found on this device'. That one i havent seen in about an hour, and i have been able to edit which photos i put on my ipod for about an hour.

  • Loading Photos onto iPod Nano

I'm trying to load a few photos onto my iPod nano. Right now, Itunes is telling me I have 53.6mb of free space, and windows says the contents of the folder I'm trying to load is only 6.61mb. But when I try to load the photos, I get an error message that there isn't enough room.
Is there something I'm missing here?

  • Is There a Way to Load Photos onto an iPod Nano

I'm a Windows user who bought an iPod Nano for Music and Photos. Since there is no iPhoto for Windows, and maybe never will, is there another way to do it? If I knew the file format for photos maybe I could find a way to load them. Otherwise, I wasted my money buying a iPod Nano. My huge company is PC committed. We have no Apple computers. I don't see this type of PC community using Apples and using work PCs just to get photos. That's to much to keep up with. I'm already having problems keeping up with Unix, Linux, Windows plus mainframe O/S's.
Maybe someone will invent a PcPod for Windows that fits in my ear.

I think most Apple users will ignore your question. First of all, I suggest you read the documentation. If you choose not to; rely on that all powerful two button mouse (Apple users are only now beginning to recognize the advantages of this type of device; and Intel chips).
    right click on the iPod nano icon in iTunes;
    select iPod options;
    click the photo tab;
    check the appropriate box;
    That should work.

  • I have been unable to load photos onto my iPod.

When I try, it optimizes all of the photos, but it only loads a few of the photos I selected, 5 out of 100. How can I load the photos? I checked the format and they are jpeg. What can I do?

The obvious question is do you have enough free storage space on the iPod?
    There are no error messages?
    You're following these instructions?

i have a windows XP any help would be grateful
    catherine

Connect your iPod and wait for iTunes to see it.
Then, in iTunes, click Edit > Preferences
    Click the iPod tab
    Click the photo tab
Tell iTunes where to find the photos
    Click OK
iTunes will then transfer the photos to the iPod the next time you update it

  • Cannot load photos onto iphoto from kodak easyshare

I previously was able to load my photos onty iphoto (version 2), now that I have connected a new external hard drive, iphoto recognizes the camera and the photos to be imported, but after it starts to import them a message comes up saying "cannot import photo..." and asks me to continue or stop. Help please

An easier way to upload your pics , would be to disable launching iPhoto when you camera is connected. and use a 2 step process to upload pics on an empty folder and then to iPhoto.
    - Do you see the camera icon on the desktop?
let me know if you want to know more!

  • Newbie going crazy trying to load photos

    Hi
Can somebody please help with loading photos onto my new iphone?
On my PC (not Mac), under my picures I have, for example, a folder called family. under there are just photos, no folders. I also have a folder called holidays, and under there are folders for 2008, 2009 etc. How do I load the family stuff into 1 album on the iphone, and only the 2009 holiday pics into another allbum?
If I go for 'selected photos', and select family and holidays, then I get 2 albums, but with all holiday years. I cannot open up the folder tree for holidays. If I load the family folder first, then change 'sync photos from' and select 2009 from holidays, then it does load just 2009, but it deletes family! Also the photos are loaded into an album called 'photo album', not 2009 or holidays. If I uncheck the sync option, and say 'dont delete the photos from iphone', next time I check 'sync' it warns it will delete all photos first when it syncs. Is there a way to do what I want? I dont want all my holiday pics in 1 album as there are 2000+
The phone is great, but itunes is driving me crazy!
    Any help greatly appreciated.

Just to expand more and maybe spell it out (not saying the other poster didn't help )
But that iPhone sync options has limits. You can only point it to one folder. And for the most part you really don't want to point it to a place you want to fully keep your photos for good (eg, don't point where you keep all your photos).
Go make a folder someplace, for example:
    C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\My Documents\My Pictures\iPhonePics
Now in that folder make other folders like:
    C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\My Documents\My Pictures\iPhonePics\family
    C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\My Documents\My Pictures\iPhonePics\kids
    C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\My Documents\My Pictures\iPhonePics\2008
    etc
Point iTunes to the root folder you made:
    C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\My Documents\My Pictures\iPhonePics
Now go put copies of pictures you have into the folders you made. I say copies because lets say later you want them off your phone, but you want to keep them on your computer. Well if you have the original where you normally keep photos, then you need only go to this iPhonePics folder, find the photo and delete it, thus on next sync it is gone.
And having this setup when you want another folder or set of pics, you just go to that iPhonePics folder, and put copies of the new pics you want in it.

  • Don't want to load photos - can I keep it from trying?

I'm a new Ipod user and I LOVE it!
I have over 5500 photos in my photo file on my computer. I am not interested in loading photos onto my Ipod, just mostly music and a few music videos. Each time I sync my Ipod, it starts automatically loading these photos. I have to click stop and then cancel, which is not a big deal, but I'm sure there is a way to keep the Ipod from starting this each sync time. I can't see where to do that though. Can anyone help? Thanks so much.

Connect the iPod and select it in iTunes.

  • Photos loaded directly onto ipad air do not show up on PC anywhere when synced using itunes

Photos loaded directly onto ipad air using Apple camera connection kit, do not show up on PC anywhere when synced using itunes

They won't show in iTunes (iTunes is only used to copy photos to a device, not copy them off), but you should be able to copy them off either manually via My Computer (the iPad should show as a camera) or via windows camera wizard or windows live photo gallery depending upon your OS version.

  • I cannot load more photos onto my iPad as I'm being told there is not enough storage. I have bought an extra 20 GB storage plan from iCloud so how can I now load more photos onto my iPad. Surely there is enough space!  Do I need to delete previous photos?

I cannot load more photos onto my iPad even though I have bought an extra 20 GB storage plan from iCloud. As I am on holidays and taking loads of photos I thought  a good plan was to load them onto my iPad and then regularly back them up to iCloud. If I do this, do I then delete those photos from the iPad that I have backed up to iCloud and if I delete them from the iPad are they gone forever or can I somehow get them back from iCloud? I'm only new at all of this so I hope someone can assist me. I'd hate to lose all of my photos(I know they are still on my memory stick) but I would like to have them safe and secure and able to retrieved whenever I wish.

You cannot backup photos to iCloud.
You can enable Photo Stream (in Settings > iCloud) but only for 30 days and only a max of 1000 photos.
Then what does this mean? It was copied from the kb article that I posted above.
Reducing the size of your Camera Roll backup
If you take lots of photos and videos with your iOS device, you may notice your Camera Roll takes up most of your iCloud Storage backup. To check the size of the Camera Roll backup on your device:
On your Home Screen, tap Settings.
    Tap iCloud.
    Tap Storage & Backup.
    Tap Manage Storage.
In the Backups section, tap your device.
In the Backup Options section, the backup size is displayed under Camera Roll.
To reduce the size of your Camera Roll backup, save your photos and videos locally to your computer with iTunes, and then manually back up your iOS device. If you want to keep your photos and videos on your iOS device, you can turn off Camera Roll in Backup (see the "Deleting backups and turning off Backup for your Device" section above) orpurchase additional storage.

  • HT4101 Can I load photo's from my IPad back onto my SD card through the Camera Connection Kit?

Can I load photo's from my IPad back onto my SD card through the Camera Connection Kit?

No, it only supports the copying of photos and videos to the Photos app on the iPad, not from the iPad. You can copy photos that you've copied to the iPad via the kit to your computer : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083

  • Can I load photos stored on a pc backup hardrive onto my Mac IPhoto?

Can I load photos stored on a pc backup hardrive onto my Mac IPhoto?

You can indeed.  Simply drag the folder containing the images (or the images themselves) from the hard drive to the iPhoto icon in the dock (same one you click on to open iPhoto.  This will cause iPhoto to start importing whatever you drag in.
    Two suggestions:
Have a backup of your current library before you do the import just in case iPhoto encounters a corrupt file during import which might damage your existing library of images:  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1553
Import the images in small batches if there are many of them.  That way if there is an error with one of the images during import you can easily identify where the bad image is coming from.
    Cheers.
