Loaded Creative Cloud 8 days ago. Bought photoshop and lightroom. Downloaded no issues with Lightroom, photoshop errors out each time I open it. Installed on Windows 7

I have been running Photoshop 8 for years. Upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 just so I could get Lightroom. I am paying the 9.99/mth for Lightroom and photoshop. I downloaded and am already using Lightroom. When I try to open photshop it will open, but when I go to file to try and select a photo, it errors out and says looking for solution and to close program. Totally frustrated

Holy cow.  Victoria, if I could reach through the internet and give you a cupcake I would!  That worked! 
It's amazing -- I sat on chat with customer support for 3 hours, and they weren't able to come up with the solution.  He had me creating new accounts, wiping out various directories, changing read and write permissions here and there, searching for non-existant files, and yes, repeatedly installing from disc and from download, and nothing worked.  I've been searching the internet up and down, and there are some really involved "solutions" out there for this problem.

  • Upgrade to Creative Cloud 7 days ago - still no access to full products customer service not helpful

    I upgraded to the full Creative Cloud access on the 13th of April through customer service. I saw a promotional offer for $29.99/month for access to all the CC apps, but since I was already signed up for Premiere Pro CC at $19.99/month it said I needed to speak to customer service to upgrade.
    I did that. The customer service rep upgraded my service to $29.99/month and assured me that I would now have access to the full creative suite.
    You can see that I was billed for $29.99 on April 13th:
    After that upgrade nothing changed on my end. I had full access to Adobe Premiere CC like before, but otherwise all other programs(photoshop, illustrator, etc) still downloaded and ran as trial versions. I contacted customer service two more times. They were unable to resolve the problem and only escalated the ticket.
    I have not had any response from either ticket. And looking at it now it looks like one of them is listed as "withdrawn" with no notes from Adobe's end and no resolution to my problem. The other ticket is still open pending Adobe's response.
    To top it all off today in Premiere CC I received a notice that I would lose access to Premiere in 5 days because of some error in the billing information. So in 5 days time I will be paying $29.99/month and have access to zero Adobe products.
    So I'm writing this post in hopes of actually getting someone that can solve my problems to take a look. I don't want to spend another 2 hours in a chat-box with an overseas customer service rep who only copys and pastes pre-formatted responses to me. I don't want my ticket escalated and then ignored. I want the service that I paid for, or I want my money refunded.
    What I think happened is that the customer service rep who upgraded my membership to the full creative cloud suite forgot to flip some switch. It seems like they increased my billing rate but didn't actually change my subscription.

    Please don't tell me to try logging out of creative cloud, or deleting files on my end, or check my DNS settings, or any of that. I've been through it - twice - with your customer service reps already. It did nothing. The issue is on Adobe's side. Somewhere in some database my account is not set to full creative cloud access. There is nothing I can do on my end to rectify this.
    Please - I would either like this rectified, or have my money refunded. Anything else is unacceptable. And as a whole my experience with customer service has been frustrating, unhelpful, and not up to the standards I expect from a high-class company like Adobe.

    Have you logged out of your Cloud subscription and then back in?

  • Hello, my develop module has been disabled at the end of the trial period but I have purchased Creative Cloud 2 days ago.  Anyone have any assistance on this issue?

    How do I reactivate my develop module? I already have Creative Cloud but it keeps telling me to renew my membership.

  • Day 3 on Mavericks and still having serious issues with the finder it simply is not working correctly. we have over 1000 files all stored using a number. When searching nothing comes up at all.

    3 Days using Maveriks and still cant find any files using our number system.
    I have tried searching using key words and job numbers but nothing is found or works !!

    If you're searching in Finder or Spotlight and don't get the results you expect, try reindexing your hard drive using these steps:

    From the Apple () menu, choose System Preferences.
    Click Spotlight.
    Click the Privacy tab.
    Drag a folder or an entire volume (your hard drive) to the list.
    If prompted for confirmation, click OK.
    Remove the item or volume you just added to the list by clicking it and then clicking the minus ("-") button.
    Close Spotlight preferences.
    Spotlight will re-index the contents of the folder or volume.

    That creative cloud installation of Lightroom will have to be uninstalled. It cannot be activated with the serial number you have. You can download the trial version from one of these two websites, and activate it with your serial number:
    Adobe - Lightroom : For Windows : Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.7.1
    Adobe - Lightroom : For Macintosh : Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.7.1
    You will not lose any of the work you may have done using the trial version. In the future, when posting questions it would really help if you would identify your operating system and other pertinent computer information.

  • I purchased the Creative Cloud Photography Plan for 9.99 and I cannot gain access to Photoshop, just Lightroom. It worked for night I purchased it and now I cannot open up Photoshop.

    I have a laptop with a Windows operating system (not lucky enough to have a Mac) and as far the Adobe version, it's the plan for 9.99 that Adobe is offering.   I was under the impression that the Creative Cloud Photography Plan included Photoshop and Lightroom, the latest versions of both, because that's what it said when I purchased it.  I'm sorry my information is too limited or not detailed but, it's a pretty basic concern.     To prevent a sync when plugging in the iPod/iPhone - hold down the 'option' and the 'command' keys when plugging in the iPod/iPhone - key the keys down until the iPod/iPhone is listed under the Devices list in iTunes - this will prevent a sync from taking place and you will be able to change your settings.

    Images won't import from Lightroom to be edited. There were no problems until I upgraded to Photoshop (2014). LR & Photoshop work well independently (I have Creative Cloud 1.7.1.418/Photoshop (2014)/Lightroom 5.6). All are up-to-date.

    I had the same problem.  It seems the scripts that control the transfer of images from LR to Photoshop got deleted or messed up.  The fix I found on the LR forum was as follows:
    This solution allows you to run a repair installation without uninstalling Photoshop CC 2014. If you've already uninstalled Photoshop CC 2014, install it from the Apps tab of the Creative Cloud desktop application.
    Open the Creative Cloud desktop application.
    Select the Apps tab.
    Scroll down (if necessary) until the Find New Apps section displays.
    On the same line as Find New Apps, select Filters & Versions > Previous Version.
    Click the Install button next to Photoshop and select CC 2014.
    Click Yes, install this version.
    Once I did this, the interaction between LR and PS CC 2014 started working again.  I did notice that Photoshop showed up as needing to be updated in the Adobe CC application so I just clicked on the update button and after a few minutes photoshop had been updated.  The importing function still works so I think everything is OK.
    Not sure if this was part of the problem, but after updating the PS CC 2014 application  the first time, I uninstalled the original PS CC application as I didn't need it anymore.  I'm thinking that may have caused the scripts to be uninstalled along with the PS CC application.  Rerunning the installation put things back to normal.
