Loaded FF4 but keep getting a notice that it isn't loaded. When I try to load it again I get the message it is already loaded. ?

I loaded 4 but it kept crashing so I deleted it and went back to the older version. Then I kept getting the message that my computer was at risk and not protected because I needed the latest version. So I reloaded 4 but still get the message that it isn't loaded. So I try again to load it but get the message it already exists.
