Loaded update ... restarted ... now stalled on iTunes logo image?!?

I just hit the update button to download ATV2 4.4 and it did a proper download, then it restarted and displayed the itunes logo with the white plug (same as the my itouch when I first got it) and stalls on this image until it's white indicator light starts flashing repeatedly while my screen goes blue with a not that it is receiving no signal.
Ideas?

If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Source list, and then click Restore.

Recent photos may be in your Photo Stream or in your iCloud backup if you chose to enable those backups.
If you were only backing up through iTunes and didn't complete a backup recently, then your photos are gone.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

Photo Stream overwhelmed with iTunes "logo" images.

Last night my Photo Stream was overwhelmed with iTunes "logo" images in many different languages. Does anyone have any idea where they may have come from or how I can get rid of them? My Photo stream is not at max capacity and I can't add any pics.

I agree on the updates, I wish it wasn't automatic. I completely, totally agree.
Keep in mind, you can't complain about having CM7 messed up from webOS updates. CM7 is not supported on this hardware by HP. CM7 is all on you.
There was no webOS upgrade in your case. The upgrade was stopped midstream, possibly damaging the TouchPad.
I asked 'why did you do that', because I actually want to know why in the world anyone would ever stop a firmware upgrade. It's like teasing a crocodile with chicken meat and wondering why it bit your hand off. You seem to know your way around technology, so I can't understand why you'd stop a firmware upgrade. I'm sure you know how dangerous that is. I did, in fact, provide a constructive suggestion. But not a solution, because I don't know of one. I haven't run across anyone who stopped their TP's upgrade process midstream. I am sure it's happened before somewhere, I just don't know about it.

IPhone 5, started IOS 7 update, now I have iTunes logo, remains there after I switch off and on

I tried to download the latest iOS last night, after a couple of mins as the bar was scrolling, the iTunes logo appeared on the screen. ( this screen appears on the apple restore instructions on the website) . I have never used iTunes. I switch the phone off and on again a few times, but the iTunes logo still there and I can't go any further or get onto another screen. I don't know if the latest iOS update is complete. I am stuck. So for the past year whenever apple has an update it messes with my phone. This as I said first happened about a year ago. I updated my phone and in the middle of doing so itunes errored out and I was unable to continue with the update. My phone was not locked on the usb/itunes logo. itunes did not see the phone when I plugged it in and nothing worked. I called apple support and was on the phone with them off and on for most of the day. We uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled it, she had me deleting files from my computer that may cause a problem etc...finally when they couldn't figure out what was wrong I was told it was a hardware issue that was brought to the forfront of the OS since the update. (Not a happy camper at this point). Thankfully it was one day before my warranty was up and apple replaced the phone. The problem however now was I needed to backup my phone and update it again. When I did this I was still having the same issue as the old phone. It was locked on the usb/itunes screen. In complete frustration after having spent a good day trying to get my phone working while dealing with my apple withdrawl I plugged it into my home desktop computer. All of the sudden iTunes on that computer recognized that there is a computer that needs to be restored. I follow the prompts restore the phone to factory settings, connect it to my laptop when it is done and restore the phone with my personal backup. I still see people being told it is a hardware issue....fast forward one year and a couple updates later and this long process being repeated every time. The new OS is now coming out becuase of the new phone being released. I decide while at work to update my phone being impatient and not thinking I update it to only have the exact same thing happen again. Now I am without a phone all day as I am at work and only have my laptop with me. I have been frantically searching the internet for a solution when I see a suggestion that you move the usb cord to another port on your computer. (I have a couple but tend to just use the same one) I move the cord to a different usb port on the computer and what do you know but iTunes sees the phone, sees that it needs to be resotred and starts the process. So if you are having the same problem I am move the usb cord to another port and try it from there. I am not a professional but have a working knowlege of computers and wish with all my heart that apple would find out why it's doing this (I am one of many many people having this problem) instead of giving the same "it's a hardware issue". If that were true then I would not have been able to plug the same phone into the same computer with the same cords etc and have it work only when I moved to a different usb port. Clearly there is a glitch in the software of iTunes that is not seeing the phone in that particular port after the updates error out. Hope this helps others with this issue. For the record other than this updating issue that I have managed to work around and find a solution for I love my iPhone and all it can do. Maybe I can be an apple Genius now?

Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.
