Loading a movie on html from another server
I have a question: I have a form on Flash and I want to make
the swf file a part of a HTML page.
Here is the(for me) tricky part: on Flash I use an external
php-file to send the information back to me, but the server where
the HTML page runs is an ASP.Net server. So I came up with the idea
to load the swf file from another server that runs the php-script.
But is not working.
Does anyone know if what I am doing is correct? Do I have to
write some code on flash or the HTML-page? Or do I just have to go
and learn ASP.Net?
Thanks a lot for any information.

No. Movies are not eligible for iTunes in the Cloud (the movie studios won't grant Apple the necessary permissions, reportedly). So if you want the movie on another computer, you have to copy it there yourself from your work computer. Copy the movie to some removable medium or shared location, then just drag it into the iTunes window on your laptop.
Regards.

How can you move the objects from one server to another?
how can you move the objects from one server to another?
Hi,
Collecting objects for Transporting
1. rsa1->transport connection
2. left panel choose 'object type', middle panel choose 'infocube' and 'select objects'
3. then choose your infocube and 'transfer'
4. will go to right panel, choose collection mode 'manual' and grouping only 'necessary objects'
5. after objects collection finished, create request
6. If they are $TMP, then change the package.
7. When you click the Save on the change package, it will prompt for transport. Here you can provide an existing open transport request number, or if you like here itself you can create a new one.
8. You can check the request in SE09 to confirm.
Releasing Transport Request
Lets say you are transporting from BWD to BWQ
Step 1: In BWD go to TCode SE10
Step 2: Find the request and release it (Truck Icon or option can be found by right click on request #)
Note: First release the child request and then the parent request
Steps below are to import transport (generally done by basis )
Step 1: In BWQ go to Tcode STMS
Step 2: Click on Import queue button
Step 3: Double Click on the line which says BWQ (or the system into which transport has to be imported)
Step 4: Click on refresh button
Step 5: High light the trasnport request and import it (using the truck icon)
Transport

Loader will load images from another server, but then we get error on Bitmap operation
I'm developing an app that currently is using Loader to get images from another server. This shouldn't currently work since we are still waiting for the owner of that server to put a crossdomain file in place. However, it does work -- sort of .
Loader can load the images fine, without an error. But then the app has a feature in which we are making a larger duplicate of the image to display in a sidebar, we do this in this manner:
var myBitmap:Bitmap = Bitmap(loader.content);
and when this runs we get a Flash player security error 2122, sandbox violation.
So while I'm hoping all this will fix itself when the crossdomain.xml file is put in place, I'm confused as to why we only get the sandbox error when we make a Bitmap from the image, and not when we initially try to retrieve the image.
(Incidentally: is there a better way to make a "copy" of an image loaded by a Loader, and then change its width and height for simultaneous display in another part of the stage? I don't need to change its actual dimensions -- I just need to change its display width and height.)
Thanks! The sandbox allows viewing, not editing from another server without a crossdomain.
So, when you try to load it up, it loads it, but "read-only" and gives you an error when you try to "edit" it by making a new Bitmap out of it.
This should resolve itself once that crossdomain is in place.
||EDIT||
I just realized I should clarify my statement a little more.
When you load images from another server without a crossdomain, it allows the load for display only. When you try to load data, it will fail. This is because, XML data, or some other type of data is editable by default, and images are only viewable by default. So, the image fails when you try to convert it into an editable form. -

You seem to have ignored Dude's VERY good advice and continue to press down this ill-advised path. If you continue this approach, you WILL have problems at the very time you do not need any additional problems. Trying to recover your production database at 2:00 in the morning is not the time to be getting errors from rman because it can't find what it needs - because you decided to move them around yourself.
Please reconsider. -
Problem in accessing the media files from another server
Currently I am working in a project with streaming video on demand and using FMS 4.5.
Let’s say the FMS is installed on one machine say ‘121.123.35.34’ and there is another server ‘100.54.88.222’ where all the media files belong. Now we need to point to this third server to play videos from FMS.I have done the below changes:
In the fms.ini file: set the VOD_DIR2 = \\100.54.88.222\myvideos
In the application.xml: Added the stream: <Streams>/hr;${VOD_DIR2}</Streams>
From my application accessing the path of flv as:source= “rtmp:// 121.123.35.34:1935/vod/hr/test” . Not able to access the video.
Note: If I will point to say ‘C:hrvideos’ in VOD_DIR2, then I am able to access the videos using the same URL.
I also tried mapping the shared path to the FMS machine and then given the mapped drive path in the VOD_DIR2, but this also doesn’t work.
Please let me know:
If we need to configure any other parameter to stream videos from another server.
VOD_COMMON_DIR: I modified this similar TO VOD_DIR to location 'C:hrvideos', I am able to stream the videos using rtmp, but not abl eto stream with http.
Please let me know can we stream using http also as we need this to run f4m manifest file.
http://121.123.35.34:8134/vod/hr/sample.mp4.
http://121.123.35.34:8134/vod/hr/sample.f4m
Thanks,
AnjaliHi Shiven,
I followed the steps suggested by you:
1) Changed the stream:
<Streams>/hr;${VOD_DIR2}</Streams> to<Streams>/;${VOD_DIR2}</Streams>
But not able to access the video with rtmp:// 121.123.35.34:1935/vod/test
2) For http streaming, changes the HttpStreamingContentPath in hds-vod in the httpd config file, and tried to stream the video like:
http:// 121.123.35.34:8134/vod/test.mp4 or
http:// 121.123.35.34:8134/hds-vod/test.mp4
But not able to load the video.
Please suggest?

Is it possible to load a dump file collected from sql server to orcle 10gR2
Hi..
As a part of data migration from legacy systems , we need to migrate only required tables from Sql server to Oracle 10gr2 .
At present client is telling that he will give it as dump file.
My question is , Is it possible to load the dump file collected from sql server to oracle 10gR2?
Thanks in advance ..yes, it is.
Using for example SQL Developer Migration Workbench even allows you to create unload scripts for the desired SQL Server tables and it also creates the DDL scripts for you to create the Oracle tables similar to the SQL Server table AND it alows creates the SQL*Loader scripts that allow you to load the SQL Server generated dump file into the Oracle db.
Here the link:
http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/migration/workbench/index_sqldev_omwb.html
If you do not want to use this utility, you can also use SQL*Loader to load the content of the SQL Server dump file into the Oracle database; but in this case you have to write the whole SQL*Loader control scripts on your own.

Move Central Instance to Another Server
Hello expert,
Now we have a distributed system: CI on server 1, DB on server 2. Now we want to move the CI to another server 3 without change the DB server.
We get some information from link Move the central instance to another server in SAP
We have few questions:
1. Can we change the SID of CI with method provided in link?
2. Any other additional steps should we do?
Thanks & Best Regards,
Tong NingHi Tong,
You can install a new SAP instance (CI) on the new server as your DB is not moving and is on different host, and replicate important files from your old CI host.
For eg, the host file, services file, trans directory and some work directory contents.
Also, if your server on same OS or different ?
You should check the compatibility of new OS and DB in service market place (PAM).
For changing SID, please use standard guides and tested WIKI links.

How do I import email messages from another server?
Heya,
So I can't figure out how to import mail messages from another server into this one? I had [email protected] pointing to the old one, when I repointed it obviously all my email "disappeared" because there is none on the new server. So how do I move it from the old server to the new one? Usually I'd just drag and drop the email message files over FTP but SLS doesn't seem to give me permission to do that on this one.
Thanks!Search for discussions of the imapsync tool.

question ?
can i open the report on my machine or its impossible ?

Accept Mail from another server
We are testing a migration scenario and are running into a few issues. I have our new mail server setup with the same domain as our old. We will slowly be migrating from the old to the new, sort of like a split domain. The old server is running GroupWise 7, the new is Zimbra based.
What I am attempting to do is allow for users on Zimbra (using the same domain) to be able to send messages to users on Groupwise. So far I have been unable to find a setting in GWIA that allows me to say it is "ok" to accept email from this server. I believe that since both the Zimbra and GW servers are using the example.com domain GW is not allowing messages to go to mailboxes.
How do I setup Groupwise to allow messages from another server using the same domain?I doubt that is it. Your GW system is set to receive messages for
@example.com and shouldn't care where they have come from. Your Zimbra
server should be set to forward to GW as a smarthost and have it forward
undeliverables to that host.
Usually, the Zimbra side is going to have problems, especially if it has all
of the addresses configured on it. It knows that it handles email for
example.com and will try to deliver it to itself, unless you do something
with undeliverables instead.
I think.......................

I am looking for a solution to whether if it is best to get two hard drives or one that can do two things that I want.
I am looking for a hard drive format that can both back up my 500GB Macbook Pro but I was also wondering if I could also put movies on it from another hard drive that is PC based. Would partitioning the hard drive work for this? I don't know what are the best formats to use.
If this is too hard it might just be easier having a separate 500GB hard drive for back up of my Mac and another bigger hard drive for the movies etc (the files are probably bigger than 4GB). Any help would be greatly appreciated as I need to make a decision soon!Csound1 wrote:
Microsoft has not released the official exFAT file system specification, and a restrictive license from Microsoft is required in order to make and distribute exFAT implementations. Microsoft also asserts patents on exFAT which make it impossible to re-implement its functionality in a compatible way without violating a large percentage of them.[13] This renders the implementation, distribution, and use of exFAT as a part of free or open-source operating systems or of commercial software, for which the vendors could not obtain a license from Microsoft, not only technically difficult, but legally impossible in countries that recognize United States software patents.
Can't help with that, if one is using a Windows machine then they are subjected to their rules and control.
Limited support outside Windows and Mac OS X operating systems as of 2012, when most consumer electronic devices could only handleFAT12/FAT16/FAT32, rendering exFAT (and flash memory formats using it) impractical as a universal exchange format.
The OP said they plan to store movies on the external drive.
Many movies today are well over 4GB in size, thus exFAT has to be used and formatted on the PC, which the Mac can then read.
Older Windows NT versions up to Windows Vista without Service Pack 1 do not support exFAT.
Irrelevant, Microsoft provides a free download of exFAT for Windows XP, and Vista shouldn't be running on pre SP1 anyway.
Some distributions of Linux have begun to include support for exFAT. It is however, only available as a file system in user space, as it's not supported by the kernel.
Irrelevant, OP is using Windows and OS X, not Linux and if they did Linux can read the files at least and transfer, which is all they care about really.
Windows Vista is unable to use exFAT drives for ReadyBoost. Windows 7 removes this limitation, enabling ReadyBoost caches larger than 4 GiB.[14]
Irrelevant, the OP's is intending to use it as transfer drive between Mac's and Windows for movies.
The standard exFAT implementation only uses a single file allocation table and free space map. FAT file systems instead used alternating tables, as this allowed recovery of the file system if the media was ejected during a write (which occurs frequently in practice with removable media). The optional TexFAT component adds support for additional backup tables and maps, but may not be supported.
Some relevancy, but only exFAT can handle 4GB+ files between Mac's and PC's, so the need outweighs the possible problem.
The OP needs to follow the standard Windows practice of "safely removing hardware" before physically disconnecting the external drive. If a write is occurring, it won't allow disconnecting until the write is finished.
Support for up to 2,796,202 files per subdirectory only.[1][nb 3] Microsoft documents a limit of 65,534 files per sub-directory for their FAT32 implementation, but other operating systems have no special limit for the number of files in a FAT32 directory. FAT32 implementations in other operating systems allow an unlimited number of files up to the number of available clusters (that is, up to 268,304,373 files on volumes without long filenames).[nb 4]
Not a issue, only in extreme cases of a lot of small files. The OP plans to use it for movies which are usually large and take up a lot of space on the drive.
IMMO It looks like you just ran off and copied something to argue your point when all the points are basically irrelevant.
There is only one format that can easily share 4GB sized files between Mac's and PC's without further complications.
It's ALSO possible to install MacDrive on the PC and format the drive on the Mac HFS+, but I didn't recommend that because I know it's a hassle just like third party NTFS writing software is a hassle on Mac's.
If you so anti-Microsoft format, then you must know Paragon has to pay a license fee to Microsoft for using the NTFS format.
At least with exFAT there is no fee to Redmond, at least not yet. -

Connecting to a NT server from another server
Hello, All. I was wondering If anyone knew the best and more efficient way to connect to a NT server from another server. Once the connection is made I need to be able to execute .cmd file on the NT server.
Thanks
DonaldI doubt if there is a "best" way. Do you want to do this programatically or interactively?
Interactive methods include:
Run a terminal server on the NT box and telnet to it.
Run a webserver on the NT box and create some simple server side script to execute the .cmd
Programatically:
Create a simple server to listen on a port, recieve connections, and execute command that are passed. (This is signicantly more arduous than the interactive methods, especially if you want some user authentication).
Use RMI or CORBA
