Loading a music ringtone

I have downloaded a Bruce Springsteen song to use as a ringtone using the "buy more ringtones" feature in settings. The song is showing as "purchased" in my playlist and I can play it.
How do I make it my ringtone - it doesn't show On the ringtones page

There are a number of ways it can be done, the quickest and fastest I found was to download Zedge from the play store. find what I was looking for, choose download and then you get the option to set it as a main ringtone or a contact one.

Trying to install music ringtones on my new iphone.  Downloaded app., and went through steps.  When I got into itunes, I don't have a ringtone file under Library, so I can't download the songs into that file.  Suggestions?

Ringtones library is now called Tones.  If you don't see Tones under the Library, go to iTunes menu EDIT>Preferences>check the Tones box under General tab, sources then click ok.

I have multiple Apple IDs. Is there a way for me to merge them into a single Apple ID?
Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs.

  • I have a iPad were I have opened I tunes match ect linked to my pc I have since found my old ipod classic which I have loads of music on but that was all linked to a mac which I don't have anymore, is there anyway I can sync them both

I have a iPad were I have opened I tunes match ect linked to my pc I have since found my old ipod classic which I have loads of music on but that was all linked to a mac which I don't have anymore, is there anyway I can sync them both without loosing my music, if I plug my ipod into PC it won't read it

You need to transfer the music from your iPod on to your iTunes library on your PC, since that is where you are currently syncing and where you are signed into iTunes Match.  It doesn't matter that you were previously syncing it with a Mac, and you won't need to reinstall iTunes on your PC.  But you will have to use 3rd party software such as Touch Copy to transfer any music not purchased from the iTunes store from your iPod to your iTunes library.  Here's another guide on this, which is shoter and you may find easier to follow: Syncing to a "New" Computer or replacing a "crashed" Hard Drive.  Also, if you're using iTunes 11, go to View>Show Sidebar.  This will make it easier to follow along with these guides.

  • How do I load the music to my Nano?

I have downloaded music from a CD to Itunes on my computer.    How do I load the music to my Nano?    I have tried, but all I get is static or load roar when I try to play it back on Nano.  What am I doing wrong?

Does this music play okay in iTunes?  If so, have you tried restoring your Nano to factory settings in iTunes and then reloading this music back over to it?
Have you also tried a different set of head phones to rule out that possibility as well?  If might be hardware issue and in that case, I would schedule an appointment at your local Apple Store/Genius Bar and have them take a look at it for you.

  • Loading Ipod music onto new computer!!

I need to figure out how to load my music from a previous computer onto this new computer just using my Ipod (all of my music is already on the Ipod). I'm completely useless when it comes to computers so if anyone can help me it would be fantastic!! Thanks!

Connect your iPod to your computer. If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Also when using a lot of the utilities your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button: Managing content manually on iPod
Once you are safely connected there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod. If you have any iTMS purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers has been introduced with iTunes 7. A paragraph on it has been added to this article: Transfer iTunes Store purchases using iPod
The transfer of non iTMS content such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows. The procedure is a bit involved and it won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. This is just a selection, you'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, they are generally quite straightforward. You can also read reviews of some of them here: Wired News - Rescue Your Stranded Tunes

    iGadget Windows Only
iPod Access Mac and Windows Versions
    PodUtil Mac and Windows Versions
    iPodCopy Mac and Windows Versions

Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync.

  • I have loads of music in iTunes. Just brought a mac..where is music?

I have used a pc and already have an iTunes account with loads of music on it
I have moved abroad and brought a mac. When I open iTunes I was expecting all my music to be there?
Do I need to import it somehow? I have read lots of posts where people have music already on their computer, but I don't have anything other than the music in iTunes?
Any ideas what I need to do?

    Hi,
I am in the same boat. My previous comp was a PC laptop and this is my first iMac. I am not very adept, so let me see if I have this right.
    1. Backup iTunes to an external HD
    2. Open itunes on the new comp.
How do I get the backup to the new iTunes? Will this allow it to auto sync to my iPhone, iPad like it always did before?
Sorry to piggyback on your question. Niel is all over the support topics and totally seems to know his stuff.
    Thank you in advance.
