Loading a program onto my eMac

Question

Hi, I am hoping some one can help.............. I am trying to load a Living Book program onto my eMac so the kids don't have to load it into the disk drive everytime time they use it but I can't seem to get it to work..... I had them all loaded onto my iMac and all that took was to drag them onto the hard drive...... any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Insert the disc, open Applications> Utilities> Disk Utility, select the disc in the panel on the left, and from the menu select File> New> Disk Image from Disc. Save the image (.dmg extension) where your kids will be able to find it (but not, I'd suggest, on the desktop; it's too easy for it to end up in the Trash). When the kids want to run the Book program, instead of getting their fingerprints or worse all over the actual disc, have them double-click the .dmg disk image. that will mount the disc on the desktop and the program can then be launched normally, and when they're done, they eject the mounted image from the desktop. You can them keep the original disc someplace safe. This won't work if the Living Book disc is copy-protected.
