Loading Aperture on MacBook

I plan on downloading the Aperture 3 app to my iMac running 10.6.6 BUT I want to use it on my MacBook running 10.5.8, any issues using it on leopard? Also, I tried installing the trial version on my MacBook by copying it to a flash drive first but it would not launch. Will I need to use Target Disk to transfer to the MacBook ?
Thanks in advance !

According to the specs
http://www.apple.com/aperture/specs/
yes 10.5.8 will run Ap3.
You need to do a separate install from the installer of the application on the MacBook, just copying the file will not work.

  • Aperture very slow to load on i7 Macbook Pro

I recently purchased an i7 Macbook Pro, and the first thing I did was to load Aperture 3. After installation, it opened in around 5 seconds. I proceeded to install other software (firefox, iWork etc. etc.) and when I went to start Aperture afterwards, it now starts in around 2 - 3 MINUTES!
I have rebuilt the system a number of times over the past few days, and think I have found the culprit - iWork. When it's loaded, it seems to kill the load times for Aperture. I'm not 100% sure it's iWork, but has anyone else had a similar problem?
If so, has anyone got any ideas on how to fix it?
    Cheers

Also try a few of the following
Run System Maintenance, start with Disk Utility>repair permissions,
    Delete the Aperture user prefs
Even run the steps listed on the Aperture 3: Troubleshooting Basics page

  • Load Aperture on new device?

I have Aperture on my Imac...just bought a Macbook Pro. How do I load Aperture on this device?

How did you originally buy Aperture?
If on DVD then load the DVD on the new MBP. If from the Mac App Store then log into the MAS from the MBP using the same Apple ID you used to buy Aperture and install from there.

  • The app store is not working or loading on my Macbook Pro, iphone and ipad

The app store is not working or loading on my Macbook Pro, iphone and ipad
Today When I tried to open the app store on my ipad I found out that's the store is not working,,, It's giving me the loading screen like for ever without any error message. So I tried my Macbook and my iphone and it was the same,,,, I thought it was from the connection so I tried several different connections and It was the same.
Any Idea what is going on with the app store ?

The App Store app on your iPhone in your iPad is a different App Store than the app store app on your Mac. You use the same account for both app stores. So I would guess that the real issue is perhaps something to do with your Home Network. You might try rebooting your modem/router. Also, turn off any antiviral software, firewalls or apps such as Little Snitch.

  • Loading Aperture 3.0.2 onto Mac Air Lion, Aperture 3.0.2 onto Mac Air Lion

Can I load Aperture 3.0.2 onto my 11inch Mac Air (4Gb RAM)?

If you are running Lion you really want to (need to?) run 3.1.3. It was updated to take advantage of the new features in Lion.

  • How can I use migration assistant to load my new Macbook Air?

How do I use migration assistant to load my new Macbook Air?  Can this be done only wirelessly?

No, you can transfer from a Mac wirelessly, wired ethernet, Thunderbolt or Firewire. Your older Mac must have the same connection, but you can use adaptors if necessary. For example, you can use an Ethernet cable with an Ethernet-Thunderbolt adaptor if your older Mac has an ethernet port.
Wireless tends to be pretty slow (can take many hours) so it's recommended to choose a wired connection whenever you can.

  • One specific website won't load on my MacBook Pro

So, the title says it all pretty much.
I've been accessing this website for nearly 6 months, daily. A few days ago, it just stopped loading (Safari and Chrome), it says it's loading the webpage but then says the webpage won't load. At first I thought it was because the website was down, but I could access it using my PC, Phone and iPad (same wifi connection) and still can, it just refuses to load on my MacBook and I can't figure out why!
    Anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks!

    Tried this also.
    Since posting, these are the things I have tried;
    Safari Reset
    Chrome Reset
    Tried using private browsing/incognito
    Macbook restart
    Wifi restart
    Complete router restart
Changed DNS to 8.8.4.4 and 8.8.8.8
Checked my anti virus software preferences for blocking websites
    Un-installed anti virus software
    Disabled Ad-Blocker
    Un-installed Ad-Blocker
I then tried using the Guest account - still didn't work, so I did everything listed above on the guest account, still no luck.

  • How to load matlab on macbook air

how to load matlab on macbook air?

There are two ways to use Windows on your Mac. The first is to partition the internal drive so that you can use one part for MacOS and the other for Windows, selecting which you want to use when you start up. That's called Boot Camp, and information about how to set it up and use it can be found in the document at http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1461 The disadvantage of this is that you can only run Mac or Windows at any given time, not both.
The other method is to use what is known as a 'virtual machine', to run Windows as if it were just another application within MacOS, thus allowing you to run both at the same time, and even share documents between them. To do this you'll need appropriate software such as VMware Fusion (http://www.vmware.com/products/fusion/overview.html) or Parallels Desktop (http://www.parallels.com/products/desktop/) Neither of these need the drive to be partitioned, but unlike Boot camp which is free, VMware or Parallels are both commercial software.
Whichever solution you use, you'll also need a Windows installer and valid product license.
