Can't get Batch screen to load in cs6 from Bridge-Tools-Photoshop-Batch

Hello! are you on a PC, a MAC? can we have more info about your machine.
Is anything non-standard on your setup, for instance: Are you using restricted profiles on a PC?
The window does not show, there is no error message? is Ps running? does it work from Photoshop? what kind of files are selected?
If you give all the relevant info directly you'll get your answers faster.

  • Load files from bridge into photoshop lagers

    I am trying without success to load (two) files from bridge to Photoshop as layers.

    I am not exactly sure what you are asking, but I know you can create stacks in Bridge by simply selecting the desired files and pressing ctrl G on the PC (command G on MAC?) I believe there is a forum dedicated to Bridge scripting. You might have better luck there.

  • Bridge CS6 Photoshop Batch tool to open Photoshop CC

    I have both CS6 and CC installed
    I'm having the issue in Bridge CS6 that when I want to do a batch function through Tool > Photoshop > Batch this opens Photoshop CS6 and not Photoshop CC which i'd prefer it open. Is there any way to set this.
    The question of me will be why I don't use Bridge CC. Unfortunately I am locked into having to use InDesign CS6 for my work and use a shortcut to reveal images in Bridge (which will only reveal on Bridge CS6), hence why I'm then forced to use Bridge 6 over Bridge CC....
    So I suppose if I worked out the indesign issue i twould be ok, but I have a feeling i'll have more luck with a solution for Bridge opening a version of photoshop than solving the indesign issue.
    Thanks.

    Okay... but I'm using Bridge CC and when I use Tools> Photoshop > Batch it opens the files in Photoshop CS6.
    How do I get Bridge CC to open images in Photoshop CC?
    (Both versions of Photoshop are loaded on my computer.)

  • Bridge menu item tools photoshop batch is not present in CS4

    I recently installed CS4 on an iMac running OS 10.5.7.  I have a 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, with 4 GB of ram.  The hard drive is 1 Terrabyte.
    In CS3 I could invoke my photoshop actions from bridge.  No such luck here.  I'm finding references to tools>photoshop>batch, but am at a loss as to why I don't see this option in my copy of Bridge.
    Online help isn't helping or I'm not using the correct search criteria.  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.  I've attached a screen grab of the menu list.

    Kitty,
    Your screen shot is in the virus scanning queue, where it can linger for minutes, hours, days or weeks.
    If you use the camera icon in the reply editor's formatting bar, you can embed your image in your post, where it will be viewable instantly.
    then:
    As for your issue, make sure all applicable scripts are checked in Bridge preferences:

At first I didn't even see the option but I reinstalled Photoshop CC and now I see the menu option but when I try it there is a message that I need to use Photoshop CC. So I open Photoshop CC and the same thing happens? I can't seem to make it work.

  • Problem with Bridge CS5 and Tools Photoshop Batch

    When I select several images in Bridge CS5 and go to Tool>Photoshop>Batch and try an run an Action, I receive an error message asking for the Install disk. Bridge at that point freezes until I put in the install disk and then it runs the batch action fine.
    This is very annoying as I always have to have the disk in my DVD Drive.
    Any points would be welcomed.
    Thanks,

    Go to preferences/startup scripts and make sure there is a check mark for Bridge and Photoshop scripts.

  • Buglet in Tools/Photoshop/Batch file list

    I was just having a look at this and noticed that for me when I use it to run a trivial action in PS from Bridge (just opens selected files and leaves them open) it is opening the selected files PLUS one other file that is not selected. The file it is opening is always the same one and this persists even after opening and closing Bridge - so I would guess it is something happening either at the scriptstore level or within the core of PS / BR itself. It is not a problem with the Bridge selection list since I tested for this with my own batch process scripts and got the expected results.

    Andrew,
    To make things perfectly clear for me, is this the menu item
    Tools -> Photoshop -> Batch...
    Or is it a script that you've written that uses scriptstore?
    The menu item for Batch... doesn't use scriptstore afaik

  • CS3: Tools Photoshop Batch does nothing

    I select a bunch of found files and go to Tools > Photoshop > Batch. This used to present the Batch dialogue in Photoshop allowing me to run a batch action on the found files. Now it does nothing. Photoshop is running, computer recently restarted.

    Meaning what exactly? I don't understand this way, what is "replaced from a freshly formatted image"

  • I can't get Dr Browns Image Processor Pro to work from Bridge with Photoshop CC 2014

    We use the wonderful DR Browns Image Processor Pro script a lot, but cannot get it to work from Bridge with PS CC 2014. When I select files in Bridge CC and then go to Tools> Dr Browns Services 2.3.1 > Image Processor Pro it just pops up an error message that says ReferenceError: photoshop is undefined.
    The actual script works fine if I launch it from Photoshop CC 2014 - just not if I load it from Bridge CC.
    I have unistalled it and re installed a few times, both manually and through the Extension Manager CC.
    I am using a Win 7 64bit computer.
    I assume there is some change in the scripting part that loads Photoshop from bridge but not sure. It worked fine in CC. Just not CC 2014.
    I opened the Dr Browns Services .jsx file but don't see anything obvious. This is the section related to the Image Processor Pro part:
      // This routine takes an array of files. If called by Photoshop,
      // it will invoke Dr. Brown's Process 1-2-3 with the files. If called by
      // any other app, it will send a BridgeTalk message to Photoshop
      // to invoke this routine with the same arguments.
    drbrownserv.process123 = function (files) {
    // Bring Photoshop to the foreground.
      BridgeTalk.bringToFront ("photoshop");
      // Create a new BridgeTalk message for Photoshop to invoke
      // Image Processor with the selected files
      var btMessage = new BridgeTalk;
    btMessage.target = "photoshop";
      btMessage.body = "drbrownserv.process123 (" + files.toSource () + ");";
      btMessage.send ();
      } else {
    photoshop.runActionCommand ('611736f0-9c46-11e0-aa82-0800200c9a66', files);
      catch (error) {
      if (error.number != 8007) // Don't report user cancelled errors.
      drbrownserv.alert (error);

    I copied that .jsx file to a new name "Xbytor Image Processor Pro.jsx" edit that file changed the string Dr Browns services to "Xbytor Image Processor Pro" then commented out all the code that added tools menu items but "Image Processor Pro" and I put that file into
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Startup Scripts CC\Adobe Bridge" even though Bridge CC is 64Bit seems to use theat location.
    Bridge CC was updated by the creative clouds update and opens Photoshop CC 2014 now

  • CS5 Bridge Tools\Photoshop Menu Options aren't working ...

    The CS5 Bridge Tools\Photoshop Menu Options that contain the Image Processing / Photomerge / HDR Pro features that open images from Bridge into Photoshop isn't working ... has this happened to anyone else?  Have you any ideas how to fix this?
    I've cleared cache, windows temp files, and moved the majority of my files to my NAS drive, so the laptop (Window 8 64-bit) is fine ... or so it seems!

    Did you have to uninstall everything and reinstall 2014? CC 2014 was installed automatically. My program files show Ps CC and Ps CC 2014. The automatic installation of 2014 is what caused the problem.

  • Importing selected files from Bridge into Photoshop stack?

    Hi Guys,
    Is it possible to run the "Load files into Stack" script from Bridge having selected your files in Bridge itself. There are work arounds but if this script can be run in this way it would save me alot of time.
    Not sure if the script can be dropped into the a Bridge sub folder or whether or not Bridge can read jsx files? I do seem possible in the fact that some Photoshop scripts can be ran from Bridge but to my knowledge these are not jsx files.
    Basically I just need that to run exactly the same way but be launched from Bridge into Photoshop with those selected files
    Any help would be very appreciated.
    Many thanks.

  • Scripts need to be updated for use from Bridge to Photoshop. Broken with CC2014

    Nasty news.
    One cannot (though Adobe advises!) run the Uninstaller for Photoshop CC.
    It removes the Bridge: Tools: Photoshop scripts, i.e. "Image Processor."
    I reinstalled the older (CC) version, and the scripts returned—HOWEVER—the scripts STILL don't work.
    It launches the CC2014 version, and delivers an error message (attached).

    Why isn't stuff like this beta tested, or if it is why do all the beta testers seem to use only 5% of the program?
    I found this problem in the first 30 minutes of using CC 2014. I'd happily beta test.
    This is really slowing down my print ordering. The image processor is essential for exporting images.
    HDR merge is broken from bridge.
    Hoping for a quick solution.
    Thanks,
    Andrew

  • Can't Open ACR files from Bridge in Photoshop CC 2014

    I Can't Open ACR files from Bridge in Photoshop CC 2014.  I have uninstalled the programs, and all other versions of PS several times, but no matter what I do, I can't open a raw file I have opened in Bridge, in PS CC 2014. I have to click Open in Photoshop CC 2014 in Bridge.
    Also, on my workstation PC (Win 7 64bit), if I don't open PS prior to opening Bridge, then when I try to open a file from bridge it says it can't run PS on an earlier Operating system than Win 7!
    I have done exactly the same instalation on my notebook, same OS, and everything works perfectly - I just don't understand.

    Guys! This question was asked almost two months ago, and still no-one has replied? I'm still stuck, no matter what I have tried, I cannot find a solution. And please don't ask me to re-install AGAIN, I've done this several times and it simply does not work.

  • Opening photo from bridge into photoshop converts to smart object

    Instead of opening the psd-file normally from bridge into photoshop the file converts to smart object.
    I used to work with CS3 where double-clicking in Bridge on a psd-file would open it in Photoshop. Now, when I double click in Bridge (CS6) it opens a "quick time pro" file, which I definitely don't want. When I use the right mouse to "place in Photoshop" it does so, but then automatically converts the file into a smart object, which I don't want either. What need I do to open a psd-file in Bridge as normal psd-file in Photoshop?
    Thanks in advance for help.

    Hi C. Pfaffenbichler
    yes, there is a "Photoshop Document" in the list, but it has not
    association. when I click on the little arrow on that line it "searches"
    and shows all the files in the "program X86" on the C-drive. but I don't
    know what to associate it with, or said differently, I don't know what file
    in "programX86" to associate it with.

  • Batch image processing from bridge cause photoshop to crash

    But first it goes ahead and processes the images selected in Bridge. All of them like even over a hundred at a time (great time saver!). Then displays a message for each image in one error dialogue saying, "Sorry Photoshop couldn't process the image. . ." for each image.
    It also saves the images to the a folder above (in hierarchy) instead of the folder I select in the batch dialogue. I've tried using Batch process from within Photoshop and get the same result as image process from Bridge.
    While I am able to do the processing I need, it's annoying to have the force quit Photoshop each time, and Then to move the processed images where they belong.
    I am on a G5, 4mb ram, OSX 10.4.11. Photoshop CS3 #10.0.1, and bridge CS3 # 2.1.1.9.
    I usually do the updates when I'm alerted, but haven't heard of anything recently.
    Any ideas?

    Hi SSPrengel
    OK - maybe this will shed some light
    Try changing the size to something very small.- see below
    Try changing the compression. Not affected by the level of Quality (2% 50% or 100%) - all fail to load
    Try changing whether a color-profile is embedded or not. Not an option AFAIK in LR Export
    Try changing if the metadata is minimized or not. Not an option AFAIK in LR Export
    Try changing if the JPGs are exported relative to the source image or some fixed location. Exported to a specific location.
    If I use the Image export resize option it loads OK (resize to 1000*673 from 3916*2634).
    Older exports (from LR2.3 and earlier, of the same size image, and source DNG are OK)
    A centre crop from the Image (1205*691) is OK. A marginal crop (2 edges)  (3838*2552) is OK whereas a very slight crop at (3693*2614) FAILS
    The camera is Leica M8, images is in Leica RAW format (DNG).
    It appears to be function of Image export size (reduced either by Cropping or by 'Resizing on Export'
    Looks like a bug in LR2.6
