I have CS6 currently on an iMac and just bought a Surface 3Pro. Tried to install and when I put mu serial number in from the cloud I get an error and am now stuck, perplexed, confused, nervous, and hopeful...

If you are using your Cloud subscription you need to install thru the Cloud.

Mozilla Thunderbird Portable installed on Surface 3 Pro worked a few times but now does not open while the process overheats the system. why?

years of data in the installation (4GB);

the process is visible in Task Manager and absorbs around 35% of CPU time but no window is opened.
It looks like a bug but without the interface window it's impossible to do any update.

If you can manage to launch TB, it may be a matter of disabling graphics hardware acceleration.

Problem now resolved as I upgraded to Snow Leopard 10.6. Seems App Store doesn't like anything previous to 10.6.

CS6 resolution on Mac Book Pro Retina Display

The resolution for all CS6 programs on mac book pro retina is horrific. Will there be updates?! I am quite frustrated that I can barely see any of my type in Indesign.

InDesign has yet not came up with the retina display support update but yes we are going to have the support of retina display for most of the products eventually.

Here's a short tutorial video about how to move back and forth between your base computer and the on-the-go machine. Very important info about which things can be copied within Finder and which things MUST be copied from within FCP X. Best wishes.

The Mac IIci is not even powering on at all. Tried again with wih a tested power cable and no luck.
I think it's best that take this issue to the Older Hardware Community. Not only did I see a fair number of replacement parts for the IIci avaiable online, but there also vintage external floppy drives as well. I'm not giving up.

No photoshop elements 13 hidpi support on Surface 3 Pro

I just upgraded to Photoshop Elements 13 because your what's new says "Support for High DPI on Windows". Unfortunately, the fonts and UI look the same as Photoshop Elements 12 on my Microsoft Surface Pro 3--quite small and unreadable.
The Microsoft Surface 3 Pro has a 12-inch screen with a 2160 x 1440 pixel screen resolution, a 216 ppi pixel density
Is there a fix to improve the scale? or do I need to ask for a refund?

Hi All,
Elements 13.1 provides manual control for settings 200% scaling for HiDPI:
Choose 200% and see if it resolves your issue.
Choose Help>Updates... to install the PSE13.1 update.

just downloaded the trial for the 30 day of photoshop CS6 on my new MACBOOK PRO with retina display and its very very pixalzed. WHY?!

It shouldn't be at all. I'm running Photoshop CS6 on a 2011 MBP and it's working fine. The only thing that I can figure out is that you may not be running at the recommended resolution? What res are you working in? Photoshop is not yet optimized for the full screen display max on the MBP-R.

I have just rec'd Lightroom 4 from B&H for my MacBook Pro which has no CD player. How do load Lightroom 4 on the MacBook Pro? Can I copy the CD (on another PC) to a Flash Drive USB Memory card and then use this USB card to load up the MacBook Pro?

Yes, you can. Just make sure that "PC" is actually a Mac or the resource tree may get damaghed and the DMG loses its magic...

Welcome to Adobe Forums.
You dont need to uninstall existing version to install new version.
You might consider wiping the existing version if you no longer use it as storing multiple versions can occupy a lot of hard disk space.
