Loading custom modules and setting execution policy to enable on powershell startup

how do I load custom modules when i startup powershell. And also how do I allow execution of scripts as well on startup?
thanks

Hi,
You can use your profile to load custom modules when you launch PowerShell:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee692764.aspx
As for the execution policy, just set it once and you don't need to worry about it again (as long as you don't set it for an unusual scope that is):

  • How to manipulate records inside customized modules and reflect to the seeded modules

    If we are going to add custom modules inside Oracle EBS that link to Receivables, how do we create/update/delete records inside those custom modules and make them reflect inside Receivables? Are we going to use also the Interface tables and standard APIs? Can anyone help me on this matter or point me to some reading materials.  Actually, I already started reading Oracle Applications Developer's Guide which gave great knowledge on how to start this task.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Set execution policy via CM 2012 SP1

    Good afternoon everyone.
    Sorry about the last question.  I'd attempted to resolve this in so many ways that the last question was based on an old attempt.
    I'm trying to set the PowerShell Execution Policy through a batch file.  Specifically, the batch file contains one single command:
    PowerShell -NoProfile -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -Command "& {Start-Process PowerShell -ArgumentList 'Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned -Force' -Verb RunAs}"
    If I run this command standalone, either as local Admin or not, the batch file completes and the execpol is changed appropriately.
    When deploying the batch file through CM, Software Center shows a successful installation but the ExecPol value does not change.  The batch file within CM is configured to run as administrator.
    Any suggestions as to what I may be doing wrong would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks very much.

    Hi Narco.
    Yep, tried that as well.  Tried Registry /s with a reg file and tried calling another PoSH script under a temp ExecPol of bypass that ran:
    set-itemproperty-path"registry::HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\PowerShell\1\ShellIds\Microsoft.PowerShell"-nameExecutionPolicy-value"UnRestricted"
    If they're deployed, they don't change the value.
    It's almost as if the deployment isn't really running as admin.  I've looked at the execmgr.log but I never see any entries with "Failed" or anything like that.  There are some entries stating that it's "WaitingServiceWindow" but then I later see
    the state changing from "WaitingServiceWindow to Ready"
    Thanks for replying.

  • Loading External SWF and setting variables

    Hello Everyone.
    I'm sure you are all a where of the FlashVars attribute for
    Flash embeds which holds variables for SWF's when they are
    rendered. I'm attempting to load an External SWF dynamically
    from within my own SWF and need to provide it with the values
    normally stored in the FlashVars. For the example below I
    wait until the External SWF is completely loaded using the
    onLoadInit event from moviecliploader and then i attempt to
    set the required variables that the loaded SWF needs. This works
    great in test and debug mode (ie. Test Movie and Debug Movie
    from the Control menu), but when i publish my FLA to SWF and run
    the SWF the variables will NOT get set in the loaded External SWF.
    From my readings ive people have mentioned that the player is only
    able to access Methods of an External SWF. If this is the case then
    how do they expect people to set the FlashVars of dynamically
    loaded SWFs? I investigated the loadVariables procedure as well and
    had the same results in test mode and was wasn't reliable because
    of timing issues.
    The sample source is below... if anyone has any ideas or has
    come across this issue before, I would really appreciate some
    insight.
    Thank you in advance for your time.
    var loader_mc:MovieClipLoader = new MovieClipLoader();
    var mclListener:Object = new Object();
    loader_mc.addListener(mclListener);
    mclListener.onLoadProgress = function(target_mc:MovieClip,
    numBytesLoaded:Number, numBytesTotal:Number) {
    // DO NOTHING
    mclListener.onLoadComplete = function(target_mc:MovieClip) {
    // DO NOTHING
    mclListener.onLoadInit = function(target_mc:MovieClip) {
    // WORKS IN TEST MODE NOT IN PUBLISH/SWF MODE
    target_mc._root.param1 = "value1";
    // WORKS IN TEST MODE NOT IN PUBLISH/SWF MODE
    _level0.container_mc.param1 = "value1";
    this.createEmptyMovieClip("container_mc",
    this.getNextHighestDepth());
    container_mc._lockroot = true;
    loader_mc.loadClip("somecoolflash.swf", container_mc);

    I've tried that as well and it behaves the same as onLoadInit
    ... Works when i test but doesnt when i publish to a swf. I think
    this is security related and the flash player just cant write to a
    loaded swf and set variables.

  • Custom step and step execution

    Hello,
    I am in need of the solution for accessing the execution of a Step
    The execution order of a step begin as below.  How can I insert a custom call at  execution position before step 3 and after step 18?
    Can I create a custom step allow me to insert a function call like that
    1-->Allocate result
    2-->Enter batch synchronization
    3-->Check Run mode for Skip
    4-->evaluate precondition
    17-->Evaluate Post expression
    18-->Evaluate Status Expression
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Tphan wrote:
    Precondition can be use for dynamicly setting the step to skip or fail, but limit to boolean only
    The above statement is not correct, you can have any expressions as long as they evaluate to a true or false. So for example, you can have a precondition:
    RunState.PreviousStep.Result.Status=="Passed"
    So the above expression makes sure that the step will only execute if the previous test passed.
    I think your problem can be solved using pre-conditions and post actions.

  • Loading a file and setting the values in a Jtextfield

    Hi all,
    I've created a save and open menu option for my application. The save option works as it writes to file using jFileChooser. However when using the open file option the program opens the correct file and stores the strings read into a string variable, however when I go to set the value stored in the variable to a specific textfield using settext method, it doesn't do anything. Please can someone give me some suggestions on what I am doing wrong. The following is the code snippet that accesses the file and reads from it:
    try
    int result = jFileChooser1.showOpenDialog(this);
    if ( result == JFileChooser.APPROVE_OPTION )
    String str1 = jFileChooser1.getCurrentDirectory() +
    System.getProperty("file.separator") + jFileChooser1.getSelectedFile().getName() ;
    FileReader f = new FileReader( str1 );
    BufferedReader b = new BufferedReader(f);
    while((text1 = b.readLine()) != null)
    //text2 = b.readLine();
    jTextArea1.append("\ntext1: "+text1+"\nsize: "+size);
    if(text1 == "// System Configuration")
    text1 = b.readLine();
    size = text1.length();

  • Lightroom not loading custom settings and imported presets when launched

    So I read an article about deleting windows temp files and I did so with the intention of bring my computer back up to speed.
    The recycle bin has since been emptied.
    When I launch Lightroom in Windows XP my previously imported presets as well as a couple other custom settings (ID plate) don't show up. I have to re-import them everytime I launch Lightroom unless I'm opening a previous cataloge.
    Any ideas?

    Here's my entire process -
    1 - load my SD card in to my computer and import RAW files in to a file on my computer and on to an external hard drive.
    2 - remove the connection of my external hard drive
    3 - Open LR 5 - Import the files I just loaded to my computer
    4 - go to develop in LR 5 make my edits
    5 - when done or done for the day on my edits - I back up my LR 5 library and close LR 5
    6 - To start editing again - I open my LR 5 with the same library I closed the day before and here is where the hiccup comes in.
    Files are always in the same location & file names that I named them when I did the initial import to my computer and external hard drive.  I have Windows 8 OS.

    Those client settings are only for the actions performed by the ConfigMgr client. Normal PowerShell actions are restricted to the configured execution policy on the machine.

    I don't have any specific fglrx configuration and in /etc/modprobe.d/ I have a file called modprobe.conf that contains

    I dont think fglrx was compiled for previous versions of the kernel because I used the kernel that the latest release contained. My kernel version is 3.16.3-1.

  • How to get and set graph propertis using UIGraph instance

    Hi,
    I have added barGraph graph component on *.jspx and also added buttons like "Get properties" and "Set Properties". On "Get Properties" button action, I want to get all the attrributes of barGraph using UIGraph and also want to get "getGroupAttributes" and "getSeriesAttributes".
    I saw examples on gettiing the Group attributes using the click event on the graph.
    Is there any way to get the attributes on some button action like "Get Properties" without any click event on graph?
    Thanks,
    Gopal

    [Copying the answer here from the internal forum discussion so that other customers can benefit]
    Hi Gopal,
    You can call getValue on the UIGraph to get the GraphDataModel, then to use the data access APIs from there.
    Once you get the DataAccess from the GraphDataModel, you can call getMemberMetadata to get the members on the row and column edge.
    This method is documented in the interface CDFDataAccess:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E16162_01/apirefs.1112/e17492/oracle/dss/util/CDFDataAccess.html#getMemberMetadata%28int,%20int,%20int,%20java.lang.String%29
    You should use the following constants for the series and groups:
    DataDirector.COLUMN_EDGE=groups
    DataDirector.ROW_EDGE=series
    Use the method getEdgeExtent to find out how many members are in the series and groups:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E16162_01/apirefs.1112/e17492/oracle/dss/util/CDFDataAccess.html#getEdgeExtent%28int%29
    Method getLayerMetadata is the correct way to get the names of the layers, a.k.a "dimensions" displayed in the graph.
    DataAccess is used to read the data from the Graph. You set the data in the Graph by setting tabular data, using data binding by dragging and dropping from the data control palette, or by implementing a custom DataSource and setting it on the graph.
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E16162_01/apirefs.1112/e17492/oracle/dss/dataView/CommonDataview.html#setDataSource%28oracle.dss.util.DataSource%29
    However, implementing a custom data source is not trivial, and you should only use that approach if you can't use tabular data or regular binding against the available data controls.
    This doc chapter might help in understanding data source requirements for different Graph types:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E16162_01/web.1112/e16181/dv_graph.htm#CEGBGCDG
    Hope this helps,
    Katia

  • HELP!! ClassCastException with custom module classloader hierarchy and redeployment

    Hi,
    I am defining custom module classloader hierarchy to avoid redeploying of the
    entire application mainly because we have so many EJBs and it takes a long time
    to deploy the entire app. I deploy my app using the exploded directory, add a
    new method to an EJB in my dal.jar, redeploy, run my unittest and I get ClassCastException.
    I am using weblogic.Deployer utility to reploy my module using "-targets dal.jar@accsserver"
    argument. I even tried undeploying that module and redeploy again with no luck.
    here is weblogic-application.xml definition of the custom class loader
    <classloader-structure>
    <module-ref>
         <module-uri>floghmi.war</module-uri>
         </module-ref>
    <module-ref>
         <module-uri>cts.jar</module-uri>
         </module-ref>
    <module-ref>
         <module-uri>fdbs.jar</module-uri>
         </module-ref>
    <classloader-structure>
         <module-ref>
              <module-uri>dml.jar</module-uri>
         </module-ref>
    <classloader-structure>
         <module-ref>
         <module-uri>dal.jar</module-uri>
    </module-ref>
    </classloader-structure>
    </classloader-structure>
    </classloader-structure>
    thanks,
    Nasrin

    Rob,
    regarding your question on redeploying the whole app without the classloader
    structure, yes, that works fine. If I change a class and redeploy the whole app,
    things are ok. However, when I speocify the classloader structure, and try to
    redeploy the dal.jar, I get ClassClasException.
    You are right about dml.jar being in a separate classloader. I have changed my
    structure after I posted my question to load dml.jar from the application classloader.
    So Rob, is there a bug in Weblogic 8.1 that causes this exception?
    please let me know, I am anxiously waiting your response.
    thanks,
    Nasrin

    Rob,
    if I remove my classloader structure from weblogic-application.xml,I get an
    error during redeployment, saying "You must include all of<list ofmy module names
    here> in your files list to modify <dal.jar>. Yes, the server enforces constraints on partial redeployments. You must
    deploy all the modules in a given classloader and any modules in child
    classloaders.
    Just to make sure, if you initially deploy your app, or redeploy the
    whole thing, it works fine without the classloader-structure, right?
    The problem I am trying to solve is to minimize our deployment time.Our application
    has over 700 CMP 2.0 entity beans and 200 session beans. Our applicationdeployment
    follows the J2EE layer architecture. The data mapping layer which consistof 700
    entity beans are located in dml.jar. The data access layer which consistof 200
    session beans are located in dal.jar. We create our ear with thesetwo jar files
    plus some other framework jars and deploy on bea weblogic 8.1 SP2 andthat takes
    about an hour. I need to be able to modify a session bean, i.e. changethe implementation
    of a session bean or add a new method to a session bean interface andredeploy
    only data access layer, the dal.jar, not the entity beans. This explainswhy you
    see dml.jar in a classloader with a child classloader that loads dal.jar.
    I included the ClassCastException from weblogic server console below.What is
    happening is that I have a session bean with 6 methods that just doesa println.
    I deploy my session bean, ExerciseSessionBeanFactory, and run my unittest that
    invokes test1 through test6 methods. I modify my bean to add "test7"method and
    redeply dal.jar successfully. I run my unit test that invokes test1through test7
    methods and then I get a ClassCastException.
    I hope this helps. Please let me know if you need more details.If you push dml.jar into a subloader, that means you can change dml.jar
    without touching anything in the parent loader. However, it also means
    that you've isolated it's classes and other modules can't see them.

    Hi,
    Compile all the files again in jDeveloper, again move the files to unix box, import page.xml file and bounce the apache server.
    Try this and let me know if you are still getting the error.
