Are you sure its Finance or CO-PA? CO-PA extraction is slightly different as you genrate a datasource based on the structure of your CO-PA module.

Some of the errors will be :
1. Missing master data while loading transaction data.
2. Invalid characters
3. RFC errors
4. Data format errors
5. IDoc errors
6. Locks
7. Table space errors

Have you loaded the master data attr ?
ECC Steps
then load the attr text
create the ztable using standard table using generic data source using table function.
there you can select the which field you required
check the data in RSA3
BI STEPS: -
check the source system connection.
replicate the data source
create of find the master data object for text (including attr)
map the transformation
run the info package
create the DTP.
check the data in target object.

Special character issue while loading data from SAP HR through VDS

French accent like (é,à,è,ù), are correctly loaded but Turkish special ones (like : Ş, İ, ł ) are transformed into u201C#u201D in Idm.
The question is : does someone know any special setting to do in the VDS or in IdM for special characters to solve this issue??
Our SAP HR version is ECC6.0 (ABA/BASIS7.0 SP21, SAP_HR6.0 SP54) and we are using a VDS 7.1 SP5 and SAP NW IdM 7.1 SP5 Patch1 on oracle 10.2.

We are importing directly to the HR staging area, using the transactions/programs "HRLDAP_MAP", "LDAP" and "/RPLDAP_EXTRACT", then we have a job which extract data from the staging area to a CSV file.
So before the import, the character appears correctly in SAP HR, but by the time it comes through the VDS to the IDM's temporary table, it becomes "#".
Yes, our data is coming from a Unicode system.
So, could it be a java parameter to change / add in the VDS??

Loading data from SAP Business One to BW

We need to load data from several SAP Business One databases to BW. I find some special objects for SAP Business One in the Business Content
And a short description in Help:
The source for the data upload is a file system. The relevant files can be generated using the views provided within the SAP Business One database.
May be someone has an experience in this area or could advise documentation about this

How to load data from SAP MDM to SAP BI/BW

Hi Guys,
I want to load master data from SAP MDM to SAP BI and would appreciate if some could provide me the step by step guide do the same. I found one of the document which talks about using generic DataSource "0MDM_Generic" but i dont find this datasource in BI content in my SAP BI 7.0 System.
Please let me know if some has already worked on this scenario and have any document.

LOADING DATA FROM SAP CO TRANSACTION DATA

Hello BW gurus,
Suppose if BW Implementation team has decided to use the 0CO_OM_CCA_1 standard Data Source and Info Source to extract CO transaction data from SAP R/3 system into BW system .
1)For the above scenario, How to create a Data Source for Transaction data in the source system ?
2) Apart from creating Data source , in how many ways can we extract the transaction data from 0CO_OM_CCA_1 data source? like transferring the data source in source system and activating the extract structure .

Error Loading data from SAP R/3 to BW

Dear sdn,
 When I create a infopackage and load transaction or master data from R3. Sometimes the produre is correct but most of the time errors occurs.
The monitor detail trip info:
Extraction (messages): Missing messages
 Missing message: Request received
 Missing message: Number of sent records
 Missing message: Selection completed
Transfer (IDocs and TRFC): Missing messages or warnings
 Request IDoc : IDoc ready to be transferred to application
Processing (data packet): No data
The monitor status trip info:
Request still running
Diagnosis
No errors could be found. The current process has probably not finished yet.
System response
The ALE inbox of the SAP BW is identical to the ALE outbox of the source system
and/or
the maximum wait time for this request has not yet run out
and/or
the batch job in the source system has not yet ended.
Current status
No Idocs arrived from the source system.
The monitor status trip info: (step by step analysis):
green light Data request sent off ?
gray light RFC to source system successful ?
gray light Does selectable data exist in the source system?
red light Data selection successfully started ?
red light Data selection successfully finished ?

i looks like Idoc not processed
-->go to BD87,and slect the WUPBON and click Process tab.
--> then the IDOCs will get process to
-->go to LBWQ to see the entries, once the IDOC process you should get the entries in the LBWQ.
-->now go to LBWE and got to job control of your data source.
-->click the Start date and say immidiate, then select the Print parameters and give the output device as Locl.
--> now hit shedule job, then job will release.
--> go to SM37 and see weather the job is finished.
now come to BW said
--> go to the pirticular process chain and run the process chain.

Load data from SAP R\3

I have a table of SAP R\3, for example
A | B | C
10 | 5 | 2
A,B,C - name of columns
10,5,2 - value, may be amount
There is ODS with key figure and characteristic in BW.
I want to load A,B,C(name of columns) in value of characteristic,
10,5,2 in key figure.
How can I do it?
May be I have to write name of columns manually on transformation or use functional module.

Key field in ODS(primary keys) - /bic/prim_key1
Data fields in ODS - /bic/a, /bic/b, /bic/c
Suppose the paramaters of target are as follows(where the values A|B|C need to be populated):
ODS - /bic/aods_200
Key field in ODS(primary keys-which holds name of table) - /bic/prim_key1 (Char 30)
Key field in ODS(Primary Key-which holds position of fields) -/bic/field_num. (Numc 4)
Data fields in ODS (value which holds A | B | C) - /bic/data_field1 (char 1) (Char 30)

Tools to Auto load bulk data from SAP BW into Essbase?

Does any one know what is the most efficient way to retrieve a large amount of data from SAP BW into Essbase on a regular basis? We currenly export data from BW into several Excel files, which has the limitation of 64k row in a batch, we then load the excel files into essbase usng rules files. And it's a manual process. Do you know if there is a better tool/approach that we can use to do the data retrieve and load into essbase in one batch without need of human interference? Thanks for your good ideas!

Which module u want?
if its SD(for example)
steps>>
1>In AWB goto "business content"
2> goto "Info provider"
3>Under infoarea select SD cubes
4> Drag related cubes and ODS to right panel
5> Set the grouping option "In Data flow before&afterwards"
6>Install the collected objects
Go to R/3
7> Use Tcode RSA5 Transfer all regarding SD module datasources
Goto BW
8> Right click on the source system "Replicate datasources"

Upload data from SAP R/3 to BPC

We need to upload data from SAP R/3 Payroll to BPC into to use in a butget process. We actived 0HR_PY_1 extractor and we have data at PCA area. My question is how i can to load this data into a appset in BCP.
Please give any idea to do that.

Hi,
There are multiple ways of extracting data from ECC to BPC.
If you have SAP BW implemented for your HR area then you can load data from SAP BW info provider to SAP BPC.
check out the following thread.... all these things are already widely discussed in the forum.... all thats required is to search.....
you have got to use Transformation and conversion files.....
[How to load Transaction Data from BW to BPC]
If SAP BW is not implemented then the other way is to extract the payroll data into Flat files and use the data manager package to upload the data.... you got to prepare transformation and conversion files for this as well.
Directly from ECC is not possible as of now.....

Budget Data from SAP R/3 CO

Does there exist standard Business Content Extractors to extract the Budgetted / Planned data from SAP CO module to SAP BW ?

Hi all,
We have company code with currency IDR and controlling area currency as INR.
While allocating the budget in CJ30, my client wants to see all the figures in IDR i.e. the budget currency as well as assigned/exhausted amount in IDR.
Now, I changed the budget currency to object currency (IDR) in Budget profile in OK02 and its working fine. But still the exhausted / assigned figures are continued to be in INR as the Availability control was set at Controlling area currency level i.e. at INR
Now, when I am trying to set the availability control at object currency level (IDR), it is giving a warning message that Availability check can only control the budget if the transactional currency is same as object currency. Even then I saved the setting.
Now the Budget control check is not available on Capital Import Pos where the Transaction currency is not the same as object currency i.e. not in IDR.
Pls suggest me if there is any way out for this.

                 I'mn't understanding clearly, and also transfer rules aren't mapped properly.

Hi Balaji,
You need to use these objects when your BW is feed by different source system and you want to map differences beetween Master and Transactional Data fed by the different systems (different R/3 - Flat File - Legacy Systems - ...).
If you do not have this situation you can avoid to use these objects (probably you find these objects in Tab compound of your MD).
