Loading Digital Signatures online

Hello,
I have a PDF that needs to be filled out, digitally signed, saved, and the retrieved whenever necessary, all online. All of that works just fine for plain text form fields, but when it comes to the Digital Signature, the field is rendered unsigned. What I'm doing is merging a FDF file with the desired PDF online and then viewing that. If I edit the FDF file to merge with a local file, the signature shows up, however editing the same file again to have it point back to an exact copy of the PDF on the server causes the signature field to be left blank. Any ideas are appreciated.
Thanks,
alex.rupp01

Hello again,
I apologize for the double post but I am still in need of some advice on this topic. Any input is appreciated.
Thanks

  • Digital Signature Integration with Oracle Application

    Hi
    We have a requirement of taking the digital Signature online from the different users and embedding into the report.
    This is required to avoid paper work of getting the signature and archiving those papers.
    Instead , we need to do that online.
    Please let me know how it can be done in Oracle Application
    Thanks

    Hi Hussein,
    Thanks for the reply.
    I will explain my requirement .
    This needs to be implemented in Warehouse.
    Requirement is
    Whenever the goods are shipped from warehouse to Stores, a report of items are taken and it is signed by the driver who transports those items.
    These are done by taking the printout manually and getting the signature manually.
    Because of this archiving becomes very difficult.
    We would like to get the drivers signature online and embed into the report.
    Thanks

  • Digital Signature in the Online Form

    Hi Friends,
    I have done one Online Interactive Form Assignment with Approval Process and also with the UWL and Workflow.
    Here I have placed one Digital Signature Field in the Layout. And now I executed the Form and filled in all the information including the digital signature field and submited. And when opening the form in Approver side the digital signature signed by initiator is not filled and the field is empty.
    Here I am using the WebDynpro Application, and in the backend using the PDFSTRING(XSTRING), I'm storing the PDF file to FTP location and when loading the form I'm reading the FTP location and generting the PDF and displaying it to Approver. Also For the digital signature field I didn't find any binding tab in the object pallette.
    So, For online WebDynpro Adobe Form can we have digital signature field with the approval process?
    If so, how can we capture the digital signature to PDFSTRING(XSTRING) in the WebDynpro?
    Friends please help me solving this issue.

  • Loading Invoice XML IDoc with digital signature via XI into R/3

    Hi,
    I received an Invoice XML IDoc with digital signature via Mail (for test purposes) and want to load it via XI into an R/3 systeme.
    My idea is to load the Invoice XML IDoc file via the File Sender Adapter into XI and send it to the R/3 system via the IDoc Inbound adapter.
    Due to the digital signature the file looks like this:
    0‚ S      *†H†÷
        ‚ D0‚ @   1 0       +      0‚ '      *†H†÷
        ‚   ‚   ‚ –0‚ ’0‚ û      etc.
    When I load the file like this with the File Sender Adapter, an error message occurs in the XI Monitoring as the XML Parser cannot read the file due to the digital signatur (as expected).
    Has anybody an idea how I can configure the File Sender Adapter Communication Channel to be able to load only the XML IDoc and ignore the digital Signature strings?
    Thanks in advance for your support.

  • How do I add a digital signature to my online form?

    With regular Adobe (Standard or Professional) software, you can add a digital signature line.  I want to know how I can do it on FormCentral.
    When I PDF the form I created on FormCentral and try to add the digital signature in Adobe, I get a message that I cannot due to security settings of the document.

    Formscentral does not support forms with digital signature workflows. I suggest you see if our Echosign product meets your needs.

  • How do I create a digital signature to use when filling out applications online?

    The application is asking me to add or create a digital ID to sign and encrypt documents. The certificate that comes with your digital ID is sent to others so that they can verify your signature.
    I have four options: Browse for an existing digital ID file
    Configure a roaming ID for use on this computer
    Create a self-signed digital ID for use with Acrobat
    Look for newly inserted hardware tokens

    Formscentral does not support forms with digital signature workflows. I suggest you see if our Echosign product meets your needs.

  • Adobe Acrobat - Digital Signatures Security

    Hi,
    The business I am working for is making a push for online fill in forms for simplicity and less paperwork. At the moment they are using word docs with fill in sections that are terrible to deal with and still require you to print them out to sign it.
    I have developed a PDF fill in form using Adobe LiveCycle that uses digital signatures. My only worry is how the digital signatures are created. It seems it is fairly easy to create a digital signature for someone else and use it without it being authenticated.
    I have done some reading around and it seems to suggest that you are able to intergrate windows user accounts with adobe security somehow, but I am unable to find how to do this. I also don't have access to any of the windows security certificates so I will need to pass on information to the external IT company that manages it for them to do.
    So, more specific question: How do I intergrate Adobe Acrobat signatures/security with windows user accounts so that only a specific list of users are able to sign forms.
    Or if there is a better way of doing this let me know.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    You don't need to do anything. If the user has loaded their digital ID into the Windows Certificate Store (or the Mac Keychain) then Acrobat (and when I say Acrobat I mean both Acrobat & Reader) will pick up the digital ID and make it available at signing time in the Sign Document dialog, "Sign as" drop-down menu.

  • Update on 10.6.8 fails due to digital signature on update is missing

    wanting to install the Parallels version 10 and it won't work on 10.6.8 version of my Mac OS so I learned how to go to the software update which indicates an update is available. When I go ahead and load the update it runs fine and then stops with a message that the Macbook Pro EFI Firmware Update can't be saved. It says the digital signature on the update is missing or invalid.
    I don't know if the digital signature is on my computer or the update? I would upgrade to a more recent version of the OS but don't know what will work.
    Can anyone help?

    Parallels 10 isn't compatible with 10.6 according to the web site.
    Mac Requirements
    Hardware:
    A Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor (Core Solo and Core Duo processors are no longer supported)
    Minimum 2 GB of memory (4 GB of memory is recommended to run Windows 7 in a virtual machine or if your host OS is Lion)
    About 850 MB of disk space on the boot volume (Macintosh HD) for Parallels Desktop installation
    About 15 GB of disk space for each virtual machine
    Software:
    OS X Yosemite 10.10 or later
    OS X Mavericks 10.9.4 or later
    Mac OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.5 or later
    Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 or later
    Check that your computer is compatible with Mountain Lion/Mavericks/Yosemite.
    To check the model number hold down the option/alt key, go to the Apple menu and select System Information.
    MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) model number 5,1 or higher
    MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) model number 3,1 or higher
    Your Mac needs:
    OS X v10.6.8 or OS X Lion already installed
    2 GB or more of memory (More is better - 4 GB minimum seems to be the consensus)
    8 GB or more of available space
    Check to make sure your applications are compatible. PowerPC applications are no longer supported after 10.6.
    Application Compatibility
    Applications Compatibility (2)
    Do a backup before installing.
    If you can/do upgrade, I recommend you make a copy of the installer and move it out of your Applications folder. The installer self-destructs. The copy will keep you from having to download the installer again.  You can make a bootable USB stick to install using this free program.

    hi
    i've the same problem. i've found this solution, but you need download a JCE Provider that allow you to read the explorer certificate store.
    You can try this one: https://download.assembla.se/jceprovider/
    and the code:
    import se.assembla.*;
    public class Listcerts {
         public static void list() throws Exception{
              java.security.Security.insertProviderAt(new se.assembla.jce.provider.ms.MSProvider(), 2);
              KeyStore ks = KeyStore.getInstance("MSKS","assembla");
              ks.load(null,null);
              X509Certificate cert=null;
              String alias=null;
              int count=0;
              for (java.util.Enumeration e=ks.aliases();e.hasMoreElements();){
                        alias=(String)e.nextElement();
                        cert=(X509Certificate)ks.getCertificate(alias);
                        System.out.println("\n Certificado alias"+alias+":");
                        System.out.println(cert);
                   count++;
              System.out.println ("NUM CERTS="+count);
    now, i need the same solution for Firefox browser XP
    good luck

    Pls HELP me! I can"t install it Itunes on any of my computers. After downloading it ( Run now or Saving it) it will no run because I keep receiving a message saying that Windows can not open this file because it could not verify Apple's Digital Signature. I have changed my internet security settings to allow downloads from unverified websites but it will not allow me to run Itunes. I had an older version of Itunes so I tried to install the update and it wouldn't work because so the same message about not being able to verify the digital signature.  I uninstalled Itunes and Quicktime and all other Apple programs on my system. Then I tried to download it again... no luck the same message came up again. I then went to my other computer that NEVER HAD ANY APPLE software on it and tried to download Itunes. It gave me the same message. Please help me, I'm going crazy tring to figure this out.

    I had this same issue occur today during update, searched and finally tracked to problem with windows registry. Used online version of windows registry tool "Fix It" (can also download portable version for offline check. I selected Apple updater utility from list to fix and it did it's thing. • Mac OS 10.5.8 update combined can't be saved, Apple digital signature incorrect.

    Hi,
    I have tried, several times, to update OS 10.5.1 to 10.5.8 using Apple's online software updater. It takes 20 minutes to download the 768 mb package but then
    refuses to save with the following message. 2.16 GHz + 2 GB ram.
    Mac OS X can't be saved. The digital signature for this package is incorrect. The package may have been tampered with or corrupted since being signed by Apple.
    I need to update to 10.5.8 so I can then install 10.6 etc.
    I have tried to install 10.6 without updating to 10.8 but it shows the message: Mac OS X can't install on this computer. I assume this is because I have not, and
    cannot, updated to 10.5.8.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Apple want me to pay $20 to advise them that their software package has an incorrect digital signature, even though it has only just been downloaded from their servers. No email address to advise Apple of problem.

    Hello, it's generally one of two thinks that cause this, but it is a bad download.
    Try Ethernet instead of Airport if possible.
    Disk can be corrupted...
    Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
    (Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
    Try getting it direct instead of SWUPDate...
    Repair Permissions afterwords, reboot.

  • Security Issues: SSL on SOAP Adapter and Digital Signature in BPM

    Hi there,
    we're developing a R/3-XI-3rd Party Application scenario, where the XI/3rd Party communication is based on a webservice (SOAP adapter with SSL). Also, the messages in the XI/3rd Party communication must be digitally signed. I've got some questions on both subjects.
    1. About the SSL. I've started to investigate what will be necessary to enable the HTTPS option under SOAP Adapter (it's not enabled now). If I'm not correct, all I need to do is:
    - check whether the SAP Java Crypto Lib is installed in the Web AS;
    - generate the certificate request in the Visual Administrator and, after acquiring the certificate, store it with the KeyStorage option.
    Is that right?
    I'm considering that I won't need to use SSL in the ABAP Web AS, only the J2EE Java Engine (since the SOAP Adapter is based on J2EE).
    2. About the digital signature. As a first solution, we had decided on accessing a webservice based on another machine running a signature application. We'd send the unsigned XML and receive a signed XML. But since that needed to be done into the BPM, I thought that using a piece of Java code in a mapping would suit it better.
    But to be able to use the hashing/encrypting/encoding algorithms, which library needs to be installed? Is it the same SAP Java Crypto Lib that was installed for the SSL enabling?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hello Henrique,
    1. You're right. For detailed instructions please have a look at the online help: http://help.sap.com/nw04 - Security - Network and Transport Layer Security - Transport Layer Security on the SAP J2EE Engine
    2. The SOAP adapter supports security profiles. Please have a look at the online docu http://help.sap.com/nw04 -Process Integration - SAP Exchange Infrastructure - Runtime - Connectivty - Adapters - SOPA Adapter - Configuring the Sender SOAP adapter and from the link under Security Parameters to the Sender Agreement. • Acrobat 9 Standard and the Digital Signature usage right

    Acrobat 9 Standard is apparently able to apply certain usage rights to a document. I am trying to confirm whether or not the digital signature usage right is included. The
    Acrobat 9 product comparison seems to indicate it is not, but the online help implies that it is.
    Can someone with Acrobat 9 Standard confirm this for me by testing a document that you've enabled for use with Reader by attempting to sign a digital signature field with Reader?
    George

    In the office area, the Pro version might be good to have for the forms and other features. For the general library, Reader is probably adequate. Actually allowing PDF creation on public machines can be an issue. In a small libary system, Acrobat might be reasonable where you do not have to deal with a large, diverse population. However, for basic PDF creation, only Std is needed. Having both AA8 and AA9 on the same machine can lead to problems. However, if you remove one, you will likely have to repair the other.
    The problem with older versions is that they may not properly read some of the newer PDFs that might be downloaded. For the latter, you could install the latest version of Reader, but you need to be aware that you may have to deal with issues of right clicking (windows) on a file and selecting which application to open a PDF with. For forms and some editing, the Pro version would be good to have. You also have PDF Optimize and PreFlight with the Pro version that generally are not including in the Std version.
    To help compatibility with the files you create, you can select Start>Printers>Adobe PDF preferences (right click on printer). In the settings tab>Default settings> select at least Std or better Press or Print and then push edit. Under the general tab select the compatibility and set it to AA8 so that every thing is compatibile with the oldest version of Acrobat you have.
    If you have more than one computer in the office, you might consider having AA8 on one and AA9 on the other. Do check and be sure you have licenses for whatever you have and that someone has not come in and installed a pirated version. Also be sure you keep the original CDs and licenses (or if they were downloaded, burn the downloaded version to a CD as an archive and write the SN on the label).
    Now that I have confused you, are there more questions?

  • Digital Signatures - Enterprise

    Hello,
    My company owns 55 licenses of Adobe Acrobat Standard for Windows version 9.4.5. I want to be able to have all of my employees digitally sign documents. I figured out the process thanks to online documentation. The cert is self-signed so it comes up with a warning stating the the "signature validity is UNKNOWN". I assume this is due to the self-cert process.
    A couple questions
    1) Is my assessment correct? Would getting a third party certification avoid this popup?
    2) If so, what are the steps I need to do to get a certification from a third party like GoDaddy and allow all of my employees to digitally sign their PDF files?
    Thanks,
    Eric Fleet
