Loading existing projects into jdeveloper

hello,
how can i load the existing projects (i.e. OraBPELPM_1\integration\orabpel\samples\tutorials\110.UserTasks) into the jdeveloper?
i'd like to learn how to load especially this project because of the jsp files.
thank you in advance.

Hi,
I usually create a new workspace or use existing one, then click on plus sign on Application Navigator and browse to the right directory, click open. You can select higher level to load all project or can filter it. I hope it is right way of loading projects into the jdeveloper.

  • How to import existing projects into JDeveloper 11g

I am trying to work with JDeveloper for my application and want to know whether it is possible to import existing projects into the work space in JDeveloper. I am currently working with eclipse IDE and this feature is available in it. How can I connect to clear case from JDeveloper? In eclipse it is very easy to connect to clear case with a plugin installed and check out, check in files from the source control. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The basic way to import code is to use the "New->Projects->Project from existing code" or "project from WAR" dialogs to create your project.
You then need to do some tweaking in the project properties->Content (and sub nodes such as resources and Web content).
And also set the correct JARs/Libraries in the project properties.
You can use the help->check for update to download the extension to JDeveloper that will let you integrate with Clearcase to do version management.
This how-to might help you with your migration:

  • How to import existing jsp project into jdeveloper

can someone help me how to import existing jsp project into jdeveloper?
can give me step by step to import..cause i am new for jdeveloper..
    thank you very much

Well there are two options - if you have a WAR file with the code in it, then you can use the file->import WAR.
Or you can use the new->Project from source code.
Note that you'll probably need to do some library settings and some directory setting after that.
Have a look at this demo for basic steps:

  • How do you cancel loading a project into IDVD

Hello. A few months ago I tried loading a project into IDVD and it took so long that I forgot about it. I have tried rebooting my computer several times but it still "swirls" saying "loading project" every time I open IDVD. I am now in need of loading a new project for school and it is still saying it is loading the same project from several months ago. The computer won't allow me to close the popup box, or anything. Any information or suggestions would be great! Thank you so much!!

Delete the iDVD preference file, com.apple.iDVD.plist, that's located in your User/Library/Preferences folder. Then launch iDVD and you should be asked to either open an existing project or start a new one.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier versions) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
NOTE: this is not the same as routinely backing up your entire iPhoto library folder to protect your photos. It only protects the loss of your organizational efforts that the database file contains.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. There are versions that are compatible with iPhoto 5, 6, 7 and 8 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
NOTE: The new rebuild option in iPhoto 09 (v. 8.0.2), Rebuild the iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup" makes this tip obsolete.

Have you got subversion commandline tools installed? And if so, did you install the version that was built against Apache 2.2. Subclipse is built against ver 2.0 and if you have the wrong version of the APR libraries included in your path then this causes eclipse to crash.
My solution was to uninstall the commandline tools built against Apache 2.2 and reinstall those that are built against version 2.0
    Thats what I found anyway.

  • Error while importing an existing project into workspace

    hi,
I am trying to import an existing project into workspace but getting an error 'vfamilychange' doest not have a .project file .But while checking into the folder structure of project vfamilychange' shows the .project file is already there.
    Please do suggest.

    Hi,
To correctly use the project in a new NWDS. Please use the following method (for Windows XP only):
1.) Navigate to the projects folder. This will be in the "DC" or "Local Development" folders in your "Documents and Settings" folder.
2.) Inside the project folder you will find an "_comp" folder.
3.) Zip this entire folder with WinZIP or WinRAR.
4.) Finally goto the new PC / Location of export. Unzip this archive into a new Folder.
5.) Open NWDS. Goto File->Import->Existing Project into Workspace.
6.) Select your folder (where you extracted the archive).
    Hope that helps.
    Thanks.

  • Assets corrupted when loading xcode4 projects into xcode5

Is anyone else having this problem or know of a solution?
When loading a project into xcode 5 which was built with xcode 4.6, most (but not all) of my .png files are set to 0,0 (size) with some "off the chart" location, example -613, 1820.
They are still in the project and I was able to re-install xcode 4.6 so I could read back the proper size and location of these graphic elements and apply them to the xcode 5 version, but I have many projects which all have the same issue...
    I already deleted and re-downloaded xcode 5.
(btw... the target iOS is set to iOS 6 in xcode 5)
    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

They are just UIImageView ".png" files in the main View Controller...  Some are just "static" - placed in the storyboard, others get turned on an off programmatically.
Again, they are still in the project and I can find them and re-size and re-place them, and everything would work as normal.  My big issue is that I have many different programs, some with many images and just loading the project into xcode 5 "trashes" their size and locations when in the past, moving up to a newer release of xcode I wouldn't lose all that data.
Thanks again for any further insight...

  • Migrating weblogic project into Jdeveloper

Hey everyone, I am quite new to the world of websevices. for my final year project i have to use an existing web application which uses 3 web services and implement BPEL into it. they existing webapplication has been developed into weblogic. I would like to migrate the applications and the webservices into jdeveloper first and then implement BPEL into it
any help would be much appreciated

ok - for 10.1.3 the three key combination is not there - it is in there for 11 - if you can I would highly recommend using this new version.
There is however an extension that will let you search for files in your project in 10.1.3 - http://blogs.oracle.com/shay/2007/07/sample_jdeveloper_extension_go.html
For the JSP and HTML things you'll want to set the "web appliaction" content directory under the project properties->content node.
Something similar to what they are doing here:

  • How to import maven projects into jDeveloper 11.1.1.5.0

I have a few maven projects that I would like to work on in jDeveloper (11.1.1.5.0). How do I go about converting them into it?
First I created a generic project and tried to import my maven projects into it but when I did the import, jDeveloper didn't give the maven proejct option.
The article in the following link doesn't work for 11.1.1.5.0.
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/maven11g-090173.html#5
    Could anyone please help?
    Thanks.

You will have to download the maven integration extensions. Set the correct proxy from Tools->Preferences->Web Browser & Proxy and then Visit Help->Check for updates. You will find two maven extensions to download.

  • How can I build an existed project into eclipse IDE?

    Hello, all,
I did not use eclipse IDE before. Someone gave me an completed directory which
was a project (including all classes and source code) built by eclipse IDE. I
want to rebuild it into eclipse on my computer. But eclipse only has "new" item
to generate new project, class, etc. How can I rebuild the exist project in
    eclipse IDE?
I appreciate your help or any suggestion!
    Thanks
    John

    Easiest way:
Copy the folder into the Eclipse Workspace folder
Create the "new" project with the same name as that folder.
Eclipse should detect an existing project with the same name, inform you of this, and proceed from there.

  • Import existing projects into Workspace

I am creating new Workspace and trying to add my existing projects to it. I am pointing to a root directory and let Builder scan it. After scanning it shows some of my projects but not all of them. Why is that? also what is the right way of adding existing projects to the new Workspace?
    Thanks

  • How to import an existing project into another existing project?

    RH10
I will need to bring in all the contents of a smaller WebHelp project into a larger WebHelp project.
I have found some discussion of merging, but I think this is a different matter (unless I am mistaken). I want to permanently incorporate the content of the smaller project into the larger project.
What is the best method for doing this please?
    Mike

    Hello again
Sure, you can import the topics as a "batch" by selecting many topics at once.
As for the links, I'm thinking that as long as you maintain the relative locations between the linked topics, that all should be fine.
What I mean by the relative locations is to say that if you have a folder structure in the source project, you will need to ensure you have the identical folder structure in the destination. Then ensure the topics are copied to the exact folders.
    Cheers... Rick

  • How to import an existing project into DTR

I have one question for NWDI:
    There are two senarios:
    A. I created a web dynpro project without NWDI. Now I want to import it into DTR. Is there any workaround?
    B. My NWDI crashed and can not be recovered. Then I install a new empty NWDI. Since I checked out all the DCs to my client side. Is there any workaround to re-import the project into the empty NWDI?

    Hi,
You can transfer local DC project into NWDI. I have a doc which tells the procedure to Convert local CAF DC project into NWDI. For Web Dynpro project the procedure will be same. So you can go through the doc
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/3e479a6a-0b01-0010-62bd-dcfe09c67c41
Without NWDI you can also do your development by usind DCs in your local plugin folder. Here is one doc also.

I think it will help you to solve your problem.

  • Existing Projects into debugging

We have an existing war based project in eclipse. How can we attach this weblogic server environment to debug it? In other words, do we need to create project in a spefic format to attach it to server? Ours is a maven based project which we fetch it from SVN. Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Edited by: user11729136 on Jul 24, 2009 1:42 PM

The Maven checkout project from SVN is the way I do it.
The only issue with maven & oracle enterprise enterprise pack (OEP) happens to be a 'bug' in OEP that I am waiting for a fix. (Re: M2Eclipse (Maven) and Enterprise Pack for Eclipse
The issues is that maven makes use of variable (M2_REPO) to refer to dependent jars and OEP is unable to translate them effectively.
