Loading external slide show

i have a main site i'm building in one area i have 12 buttons
for each item. I want to set it up so that when you click each
button one image and a title and some text loads from an external
source. When i click on the next button i want it to change to the
next set and so forth. Whats the best/easist way to do this by
using xml or something else? Any advice or pointing to a good
tutorial would be helpful, thanks.

Just hide the objects that are off stage with _visible =
false.

  • Will I be able to up load video slide shows from Elements to Revel?

    Please let me know if I will be able to up load video slide shows from Elements to Revel? I currently enjoy photoshop.com because I can share photo albums and video slide shows from Elements with my family. I am worried because I don't see any home page or tool bar on my new Revel account. It's like there's nothing there??   Am  I missing something?
    Help !!! Robert [edited out phone number to protect user's privacy] USA Please call me, I can't find any phone number for me to call for customer service.
    Thanks !

    Currently, Revel supports jpg files only. We are adding many enhancements so this may change in the future. Reading some of our FAQ's might be helpful for you to get some more information, so I will include some here for you. Only version 11 of elements has connectivity with Revel, but you can upload files from your computer as well.

  • How do I load a slide show created in pro show gold?

    how do I load a slide show created in pro show gold?

    Their website talks about some sort of plug-in that you can get : http://www.photodex.com/products/plugins/device - persumably (and I'm guessing) it converts the output into something that is compatible and can be synced to the iPad's Videos app

  • I cannot get photo selections to load into slide show

    I cannot get my downloaded photos to load into a slide show.  Any suggestions?

    Unfortunately Target has not yet been updated to include Passbook integration.  Once they do (and the App is linked to Passbook) I imagine that is when you will see the Loyalty cards show up or any coupons etc appearing in there.
    The full list of Apps that work with Passbook are:
    As of Wednesday afternoon, the full list of highlighted Passbook applications on the App Store includes:
    Fandango Movies — Times & Tickets
    Live Nation
    Lufthansa
    MLB.com At Bat
    Sephora to Go
    Ticketmaster
    Walgreens
    That means only these 7 apps currently are working with Passbook integration.  Within the Live Nation App, in the settings or account, there should be an option to link with Passbook.  If you don't see it, either you haven't updated it yet, or you have no tickets purchased for upcoming events that would show up in there.

  • Slides not loading in slide show in sequential order

    I'm trying to generate a series of 99 slide, slide shows. The slides (jpeg files) are sequentially numbered: 0001, 0002, 0003... When I drag them to DVDP, they end up in random order. For example, if I select files 0001 to 0099 in the finder, drag them to DVDP, they end up arranged as 0092, 0099, 0063, etc. Since I have several 99 slide, slide shows to generate it really isn't practical to drag them one at a time. Any idea what's happening?

    I finally remembered I had the same problem with FCP. The solution then and now is to first drop the files into the assets tab, then drag them to the slide show.

  • PSE 8, No audio when creating a slide show

    I am unable to create a slide show with audio.  All other functions in the slide show function properly but unable to get the audio portion to play.  Receive error message "Unable to add audio file, the selected file cannot be played because your system does not have the required compressor/decompressor (CODEC) installed."  Checked and all the Vista CODEC's are  installed & functioning properly.  Checked and downloaded the latest CODEC from Realtek for the audio board.  No audio recognized within Organizer or from file folders.  Went to Adobe Tech. and got brushed off.  Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    1.  I have Windows Media Player 11.  It plays my music files which are mostly .MP3  I am unable to locate the Adobe music files using Windows Explorer.  May be an indication that they didn't load when the program was installed.  I have uninstalled and re-installed PSE 8. from my disc's.
    2.  I Tunes is my primary player.
    3.  OS is Vista Home premium
    After running around in circles for several days I have tried the following:
    1.  I opened PRE8 and created a slide show and imported audio file from my music folder.  Played OK.  Slide show performed OK.  I did not locate the included music folder with program.
    <edited>
    3.  In PSE8 I searched with Windows Explorer and could not locate any audio music files.  The error message I receive is:
         "Unable to add the audio file (C:\Program Data\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\6.0\usic\A_Taste_Of_Sicily.mp3)  The selected file cannot be played because your system does not have the required compressor/decompressor (codec) installed."
    Note that it is searching in PSE6 for the file.  I missed that before.  I long ago uninstalled PSE6 and PSE 7 was installed in its place and since PSE8.
    Now I am suspicious that the music files never loaded with the install of PSE8 and it is searching for music files that no longer exist.  Not sure what is corrupted and not sure what else to try.  I think I will reload PSE7 and see if I can locate the included audio files and attempt to load a slide show with PSE7.

  • Portrait pics wrong orientation when creating slide show

    Running Premiere Elements 8 and loading a slide show for Photoshop Elements 8.  Everything is fine but got to some of my "portrait" pics and they are rotated in the wrong direction and stretched.  The puzzling thing is that all the pics came from same camera (Canon Rebel XTI) and some are OK, others are not. Any help would be greatly appreciated, or a solution to correct this.  Thanks.

    Correction?
    Hunt
    From your screenshot of the Premiere Elements 4.0 Properties Palette/Motion Panel and the Motion Panel's properties which include Rotate, I believe that you and SG are talking about the same thing but
    (a) you are letting your “fixed” in “fixed Effect>Motion>Rotation (from the Edit Effects)” obscure what you are saying
    and
    (b) SG, is limiting his vision to right clicking the video, selecting Show Properties, and set Rotation to 90 (where in reality you get the options of Rotate Left or Rotate Right or dial in a rotation depending on which direction the rotation needs to go in.).
    I actually have Premiere Elements 4.0, 7.0, and 8.0.1 installed on my computer and use them one at a time all the time, so here is my take on the matter.
    For Timeline content rotation you need to get to the Properties Palette/Motion Panel and the Rotation property in the Motion Panel. PERIOD. You can adjust the Rotation by clicking the Rotate Left or Rotate Right buttons there OR dial in the rotation with your mouse cursor to the right of that area.
    THE PROPERTIES PALETTE FOR PREMIERE ELEMENTS 4.0, 7.0, AND 8.0/8.0.1 ARE EXACTLY THE SAME IN THIS REGARD.
    Getting to the Premiere Elements Properties Panel
    Premiere Elements 4.0
    a. right clicking the video and selecting Show Properties
    or
    b. Window Menu/Properties
    Premiere Elements 7.0 and 8.0/8.0.1
    a. right clicking the video and selecting Show Properties
    or
    b. Window Menu/Properties
    or
    c. Highlighting the video on the Timeline and then clicking on the Properties Icon just above the Timeline
    Although the Edit Effects option after you apply an Effect will take you to the Properties Panel, I do not see where it is really needed under the circumstances and in light of the other avenues.
    But when all that Band-Aid talk is put out the way, the fundamental issue is the rotation of video on transfer of the Photoshop Elements slideshow to Premiere Elements, using the Photoshop Elements Edit With Premiere Elements Command. That and black video are frequent “unexpected” slideshow transfer issues when one uses oversized photos in one of these projects destined for DVD-VIDEO. Resizing of the photos to pixel dimensions not to exceed 1000 x 750 pixels and checking out your computer resources should be priority business. Remember Premiere Elements is a 32 bit application running in the 32 bit compatibility mode of a 64 bit system and as such has the limitations of 32 bit. It is not a 64 bit application that can take full advantage of that 64 bit installed RAM. A 32 bit system supports max 4 GB installed RAM of which about 3 GB RAM or less are available. How much available RAM does your computer have when you are running Photoshop Elements Premiere Elements?

  • Clickable slide show with external SWFs

    Hi... I would really apprecaite some help with the slide show please.
    I have a slide show that loads 3 external SWFs. (The External SWFs have buttons and action script of their own as well )
    I've gotten the SWFs to load and to switch automtically as well as on the button Click (going to next SWF in array). What  I would like to do is the following:
    - Have the buttons 1,2 and 3 go to respective SWFs (and not just a next button option)
    Also, as far as transitions (just basic fade in and out) is that something I should do within the external movie Clip?
    Thank you very much I appreciate all the help. Here's my code:
    // Array of external clips to use. Variable index refers to next clip to be displayed.
    var clips:Array = ["page1.swf", "page2.swf", "page3.swf"];
    var index:int = 0;
    // Stuff to load swf files
    var thisLoader:Loader = new Loader();
    thisLoader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.INIT, doneLoading);
    var thisMC:MovieClip = new MovieClip();
    stage.addChild(thisMC);            // Add empty MC initially so the nextClip function can be generic
    // Removes old MC and gets the next one, waiting until when it has initialized beore adding it to the stage
    function nextClip():void {
        thisLoader.load(new URLRequest(clips[index]));
    // Tell AS that the loaded file is a movie clip and add it to the stage.
    function doneLoading(e:Event):void {
        stage.removeChild(thisMC);
        thisMC = MovieClip(thisLoader.content);
        thisLoader.unload();
        thisMC.addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, runOnce);
        stage.addChildAt(thisMC, 0);
        thisMC.gotoAndPlay(1);
    // When thisMC has finished - the next MC starts
    function runOnce(e:Event):void {
        if(thisMC.currentFrame == thisMC.totalFrames) {
            thisMC.removeEventListener(Event.EXIT_FRAME, runOnce);
            index = (index + 1)%(clips.length);
            nextClip()
    // "Next button" just calls a function that goes to the next file name (mod the number of files in the list)
    MovieClip(parent).bttn1_mc.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, playNext);
    function playNext(e:MouseEvent):void {
        nextClip();
        index = (index + 1)%(clips.length);
    Thank you!!!

    Have you ever successfully saved anything to that external drive? My first two thoughts are that the drive isn't formatted for the Mac or that you don't have rights to save to the drive.

    How do I get slide shows created on DVD to show slides in the order I load them rather than randomly?

  • PSE12 slow loading Fujifilm files in slide show

    I have just upgraded from PSE10 to PSE12 and now when I use the Slide show (full screen) in organizer with Fujifilm Raw files it take about a minute and a half to load up and same again when you zoom in. Is there any way of speeding this up in PSE12? It was slow in PSE10, but it did take over a minute in total.

    Thanks (I think). Duhhh - my head hurts .
    To me also Reply #11 seemed key. But I think on first read through the significance of:
    With the lossy compressed DNG (scene-referred), you can do all the normal edits you're accustomed to with raw:  white balance, highlight recovery, changing camera color profiles, noise reduction, sharpening, lens corrections, etc.  With the normal JPEG in DNG wrapper (output-referred), you cannot
    had escaped me as it seems counter-intuitive - "lossy compressed" just sounds more image degrading than "normal".
    The jpeg compression algorithm is generally used to compress image files like tiffs or psds. It is based on the fact that our eyes are much more sensitive to the luminosity than the colors, and that results in a 'simplification', not a 'degradation' of the data. Imagine you have a very detailed map of an island printed 1 meter x 1 meter. You want to print it 30 cm x 30 cm. You'll downsample the image so that you get a good 300 ppi picture : you simplify to discard all details your eyes could not see in the 30 x 30 print ; that is lossy in the sense that you discard the less meaningful bits of data.
    Note that using the jpeg compression algorithm on the just demosaiced raw file is possible because you can process the luminosity and color information from that stage. At that stage, the 'jpeg' compressed data is still an undefined image unlike the usual output-referred jpegs. Another compression algorithm could have been used, with less visual efficiency.
    Since the link I gave in this post, the new version of Lightroom has taken advantage of the lossy dng compression in a very smart way. Lightroom keeps a catalog and a preview file for quicker browsing on its library. Instead of using normal jpegs as previews, you can use lossy DNGs of about the same size. The advantage is that if the catalog and previews are stored in a computer and the library in another drive, you can edit the raw files and store the results in the catalog even if the other drive is not plugged in. When you plug the drive in, you can sync the parametric editing in the catalog to the real full size raw images.

  • I just created a slide show with iPhoto 11 on my MacBook Air.  How do I save this to a DVD on my external drive so that it will play on a DVD player?

    I just created a slide show with iPhoto 11 on my MacBook Air.  How do I save this to a DVD on my external drive so that it will play on a DVD player?

    Hi
    If there is no iDVD on Your Mac (and it's not on newer Macs as Apple discarded it) then You need a program that can do this.
    Your Mac can burn CDs and DVDs - BUT DVD as Data-DVDs not as Video-DVDs - they need a program to be encoded and STRUCTURED as such.
    • iDVD is part of the boxed version of iLife'11 and can only be bought outside Apple as on Amazon and e-bay
    • DVD Studio pro - Part of FinalCut Studio Pro bundle - this to has expired and can only be bought second handed. (High price and tough learning Curve - but best ever done.)
    • Roxio Toast™ - Not as elegant as iDVD - but has many other positive additions (I like it as 10-Pro incl BD-component) (now version 11)
    • Burn - only free alternative I know of on internet. Very simple - Just for doing a plain Video-DVD
    Burn http://www.digital-digest.com/software/Burn.html
    only You can buy from Apple is
    • FinalCut Pro-X which also can burn to DVD but without any nice themes.
    AppleMan1958
    You can also buy Compressor from Apple for $50 US. It will also create DVD and BluRay but without the nice themes.

  • Bridge CS4 Server problem- slide show not loading

    Hi
    I have created a slide show in CS4 and emdedded the index code in my gallery page, created in Dreamweaver CS4. I have used an iframe within a DIV tag.
    Preview works fine in both Chrome and IE. However, once uploaded to Server, all that can be seen is a grey screen.
    I have contacted the server Heart Internet to see if they can help but as yet no idea.
    I was just wondering if anyone has come across this before and if so, is there a quick fix I can implement.
    I am basic but ok with HTML, and can insert code, if given it, but no good at the problem solving side of code writing.
    Any ideas would be really appreciated
    Thanks

    It sounds as if for some bizarre reason, the transition is causing the player buffer to empty out.
    This happens on certain - usually older - players when sequential cells are set as non sequential in compiling.
    (I had this one bite me - hard - recently, although from a different application).
    Best way to check this is to go get a copy of the excellent PGCEdit (shareware) and load the compiled disc.
    http://download.videohelp.com/r0lZ/pgcedit/index.html
    Find the main timeline for the slideshow, and double click it. (see attached image)
    The "chapters" will be listed, and we need to see these ticked as sequential playback, or seamless.
    If there is no tick, add one between each track, save the disc & reburn with IMGBurn (freeware/Donationware)
    http://www.imgburn.com/
    For some reason, certain chipsets seem to create a gap when transitioning a chapter marker on a timeline with a single sequential audio stream when the chapter is incorrectly set to non seamless.
    This may not be what is happening here, but I think it is worth a look.

  • Blogging, Podcasting, Slide-shows etc... on external URL

    Is it just me, or is there an issue with publishing a site to an external URL from iWeb?
    In my case the site I have created works perfect on .mac account, works fine on my desktop when published to a folder, but when uploaded to an alternative hosting provider, looses certain funcationality, namely blogs, and podcasts (in my case) and slide shows (as reported by others here).
    Is there certain scripts, softwares that we need to install at the server side?
    Personally I have got the rss feed working on podcast after editing some xml and html files (nothing major, only addresses).
    I suspect we need pool together, and determine what we need to install on the our servers, and develop a tutorial!

    Check out this support site about using two monitors, since that's what you're doing when you're projecting:
    http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202351
    You can either set it to "mirror" or arrange the monitors side by side. Then when you want to show the working window on your projector slide it in the direction you set as the second monitor. Many teachers will do this to show a video or powerpoint to their class while working on another document or answering emails.

  • IPhoto slide show; Photoshop issues with external keyboard

    I have an external keyboard and an Apple Cinema Display connected as peripherals to my aluminum 15" PB. The keyboard is connected through the Apple Cinema Display. When I disconnect the keyboard to take my PB on the road, I cannot view a slide show in iPhoto nor can I use some photo editing tools in Photoshop. Any ideas as to how I resolve this issue?
    Thanks; it took me quite a while to identify this problem.
    Kathy

    I've asked the hosts to move this topic to the iDVD forum as that's where you'll get the best portential solutions to your questons.  It can be done in iDVD but alternatives have been discussed in the iDVD forum many times.
