Loading factory calendar via flat file

Hi,
I need to create a new non standard factory calendar to help us to schedule loading to our SAP BW system. I need to know if there is any standard programm that load special rules for a calendar or I can´t help creating the entries manually.
Is there anybody who can help me with this topic?

I think you can only use transaction SCAL (if you don't want to use the upload settings from source system function)...
Here you can define a factory calendar including the relevant public holiday calendar:
1. Double-click with the mouse on "Execute function", select the option Public holiday calendar and choose the functionDisplay.
2. In calendar maintenance, select the option "Factory calendar", and choose the function Change.
3. Choose the function Insert and make the following entries:
Factory calendar ID and a descriptive short text
Period of validity (From year, To year)
Public holiday calendar ID
Start no. factory date
Number from which the factory date is incremented for each workday.
If you do not make an entry, the default value is "0".
4. Decide which days of the week are meant to be workdays.
5. Define special rules if necessary (e.g. plant holidays).
I don't think that a std pgm exists to upload all these info from a flat file...

In CO-PA there is a way to generate Hierarchy Extractors (see Note 422175 for more details). With a Custom Program you generate a specific DataSource.

if there is, I'd love to get hold of it.
I have only ever managed this by extracting the relevant data into Excel and then doing a long series of VLOOKUPS to establish parent and child ids.
I have a sample spreadsheet I can send you if you like.

Hi,
Firstly you will need to place the file(s) in the AL11 path. Then in your infopackage in "Extraction" tab you need to select "Application Server" option. Then you need to specify the path as well as the exact file you want to load by using the browsing button.
If your file name keeps changing on a daily basis i.e. name_ddmmyyyy.csv, then in the Extraction tab you have the option to write an ABAP routine that generates the file name. Here you will need to append sy-datum to "name" and then append ".csv" to generate complete filename.

Error Loading Data into a flat file

I am recieving the following error when loading data into a flat file from a flat file. SQL 2005 is my back end DB. If I cut the file iin half approx 500K rows my ODI interface works fine. Not sure what to look at.. I rebuit the interface which before was just dying giving no error and now I am getting this.

Figured it out, found similar post that stated changing the HEAP size
Increase the page size in odiparams.bat in the bin folder and restart Designer.
For eg:
set ODI_INIT_HEAP=128m
set ODI_MAX_HEAP=1024m

download one key figure data from planning book ( interactive damand plan) and made some changes and need to upload the data back to same planning book
But, may I know why you are thinking of downloading, changing and uploading for just changing the figures for a particular key figure. You can do it in the planning book itself.
However, not all the key-figures can be changed. But, what type of key-figure you are speaking here? Is it like 'Forecast' for which the value is based on other key-figures, or is like a key-figure where some manual adjustments are to be done--so that it can be manually edited? However, in both the cases, the data can be changed in the planning book only. In first case, you can change the values of dependant key-figures and in the second case, you can change the key-figures directly.
And please note that you can change the values of the key-figures only at the detailed level. So, after loading the data in the book, use drill-down option, maintain the data at the detailed level, change the figures, and automatically, this gets reflected at the higher level.
In case you are unable to change the values, go to the 'Design' mode of the book, right-click your key-figure, under "Selected Rows", uncheck "Output Only" option. In case you are unable to see that option, then you are not authorised to change that. See if you can change the authorisations by going to the "Data View" tab in planning book configuration (/n/sapapo/sdp8b), and change the value of Status to 3.

Ssis issue - load recent added 5 flat files

i have one query like i have 5 flat files in one folder today i loaded into sql server table,tomorrow again added 5 flat files in same folder.i want to load recent added 5 flat files,
can any one give me answer?

You need to have a loop and inside it have a step to check for file modified date for getting the recent files. Much better is if filename has timestamp part use that to determine the latest files

Upload new contracts via flat file

Hello.
When i try create a new contract in SRM via flat file, i have a problem:
Some data is handled by number partner, but i have (for example) F04 like a purchasing group, or 1000 like location.
Are there some function that displays the partner number from a Group of purchase or a user id?

Hi. Not sure about functions, but table HRT5500 holds the purchasing groups.
HRP5500 links that to an org unit.
Once you have the org unit you can get the BP from table HRP1001, OTYPE = O, OBJID = org unit, SCLAS = BP.

Hi
You can load the transaction data without loading the master data. You have to check the option in update rules (update also if no master data exists).
In reporting you will not be able to see the attribute and text data. Its always adivceable to load master data first and run apply hierarchy/attribute change and load the transaction data.

Data Load Error: When loading Hierarchy through a flat file

I am getting the error message: Info object is not available: Message RSAR210, when trying to load the Hierarchy through flat file upload with IDOC processing.The info object is active. I am getting this error message only for one hierarchy, other hierarchies for the same inof object are loaded successfully.Can some one help me in this?

is it possible to disable a user in Sun Identity Manager using a flat file resource? I have tried using a db table resource without success.

I am not sure if understood your question properly;however my thoughts here
If you need the approval process -workflow then use IP to load flat files and STS (status and tracking system) as workflow concept(manager approving the data).
For monitoring you can install BI Admin Cockpit .

Loading data from two flat files into one table

Hi All,
I want to load few fields from one file and few fields from another file and load the data into one table in the database.
For Ex: I have two flat files file1.csv and file2.csv and file1.csv containes 25 columns and file2.csv containes 12 columns, i want to load 20 columns from file1.csv and 7 columns from file2.csv into the table
how to combine the columns from both the files and load them into one table at a time?

Use external tables.
If using Oracle9 or higher connect both your csv with database as separate external tables and load the requited fields in new/requited table.

How to to load data from a flat file in selection screen in portal .

I have a question to share : In BEX analyzer i know how i can upload multiple data in selection screen through a flat file , for example if i have to load 200 materials at one go in the selection screen, i can do that in BEX Analyzer . But if i run the same report through portal i am not able to find the upload option through flat file ..... Am i missing some option here ?

You will not be able to load through the portal directly. it is possible to load if you can create Visual composer model. that also you will not be able to upload in bulk.

Deleting master data after loading transactional data using flat file

Dear All,
I have loaded transaction data into an infocube using a flat file . While loading DTP i have checked the option "load transactional data with out master data exists" . So transactional data is loaded even if no master data is there in BW.
While loading the flat file, I made a mistake for DIVISION Characteristic where original master data value is '04000' , but i loaded the transactional data with value '4000' .Then i later realized after seeing the data from the infocube and deleted the request. then i reloaded data with value '04000'. Till now every thing is fine.
But when I see the master data for DIVISION , i can see a new entry with value '4000'.
My question is how to delete the entry value '4000' from DIVISION. I tried deleting manually this entry from 'maintaining masterdata' , but it is not allowing me to do so .
I have also checked if any transactional data exists for that value '4000' , as i said earlier I have deleted the transactional data with that values. even tried to delete the entries from the master data table, but i donot see a option to delete entries there.
Please suggest me on this.

Hi,
Goto RSA1 right click on the Info object and select Delete Master data. This will delete the master data unused existing in the table.
If this master data is not used any where else just delete the master data completely with SID option.
If even this doesnt work you can delete the complete table entire in SE14. But this will wipe out the entire table. Be sure if you wanna do this.
