Loading failed with shotdump

Hi,
transaction delta load was failed showing shotdump, among 70 datapackets 2 data packets failed among that 1 i did manual update and it was successfully updated the 2 one also did manual update but it ran long time and failed showing shot dump in warehouse and dint allowed again for manual update . pls let me know how to update that particular data packet bcoz ther is 300000 of date ,

I would suggest you post the Error message. Otherwise it is difficult to help on the solution. Check the job logs in R/3 side, that also would give you details in case any error from Source System.

Except. CX_FOEV_ERROR_IN_FUNCTION
Full text:

Delta load failing with dump TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED

Hi,
When we are loading BW statistics delta load, the load is failing with error "Job in source system terminated --> Request is set to red." and its giving short dump with "TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED".
I have already gone through Forum and changed package size also. But could not solve the problem.
We are using 3.5 version, Could you please post your thought ASAP.

Hi there,
Yes that dump is lack of memory...
So probably your package has too many records to be processed, especially if you have code in start routine or end routine or something like that, the process for each package might take too long and fails with out of memory.
Try in fact change the package size to a smaller size, so fewer records are processed in each package.

Infocube data loads fail with UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION dump after BI 7.01 upgrade

We're in the middle of upgrading our BW landscape from 3.5 to to 7.01. The Support pack we have in the system is SAPKW70103.
Since the upgrade any of the data loads going to infocubes are failing with the following
ABAP dump UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION
CX_RSR_COB_PRO_NOT_FOUND.
Error analysis
    An exception occurred which is explained in detail below.
    The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_RSR_COB_PRO_NOT_FOUND', was not
     caught and
    therefore caused a runtime error.
    The reason for the exception is:
    0REQUEST is not a valid characteristic for InfoProvider
Has anyone come accross this issue and if so any resolutions you adopted to fix this. Appreciate any help in this regard.

Sql Loader fails with newline fields

Hi,I have a csv file delimited by "|" which is exported from MS Access. One of the fields contains a newline (e.g. notes column) which sql loader treats as beginning of new record. Can anyone tell me how to force the loader to ignore this newline.Is there a way I can tell the loader to read the optional '"' and continue with the record till it finds a closing '"'? Or is there a way to export data from access an force it to skip newlines and make a flat file with one record per line? I hate fixed length columns since it adds up pain in wrting the control files. Also the loader still fails to read the record if it encounters a newline as discussed above.

Unfortunately there is no command that can make sql*loader treat two lines in a text file as one record. Some one asked tom kyte same question, see what he had to say about it:

Why don't you create a staging table where you first load the data, and then from the data inserted into this table populate your original table in the form required.

I have an applet that was working up to update 18. The applet has a web services client that now fails when being instantiated with 1.6 u20

you can check the same with same data source in RSA3 of ECC system , from where we are gtting daat and check how much time it is taking , if there are many records and taking huge time means you can wait until job compltes.
you can check that either job is completed or not ,go to monitar tab of that info pacakage---->go to header tab and copy the request name(REQU_D9PVODVYMNA1U84GAWCA98XFZ likethat it will be there in your system) for that request add BI as prefix and check the same job in SM37 in source(from where we are getting data).
in SM37 it shows job is completed , then it is a problem , if it is custom code check the loop in module , either it is ending propely or never end loop is running when data data extarction is doing.
then every thing is fine, once again make that request as red and replicate the data sourec and run the infopackage once again.

HR load failing with time intervl overlap issue

Hello Gurus,
I am trying to do a full load to 0Person from SAP r3 and getting the following error message.
The time interval ['99991231'/'19360930'] & (from/to) for the data records 1 & and 128 & overlaps in characteristic 0PERSON &.
There are thousands of records complaining for the same.
what might be the possible reasons?? what I don't understand is that it is a full load and it is complaining.
To my understanding a full load is one that just overwrites the existing records.

0PERSON has time-dependent master data and hence while loading it will check for mutually-exclusive intervals. If the time-intervals for the records overlap with each other, you will get this error. You need to correct that.

It seems that the flat file and data source are not in sync.... check your flat file format and prepare it in sync with your data source.
I guess you have an amount field followed by currency in your flat file, but in your data source currency field is not next to the amount KF or vice versa. It could also be that the KF you have defined is not of Amount type, and hence it doesn't expect the currency field.

Windows 8.1 SOFTWARE registry hive load failed on Windows Server 2012

I am participated in custom Windwows Software backup/restore project development that requires load of Windows SOFTWARE/SYSTEM registry hives from target OS system drive connected to Windows system.
On all Windows version except Windows 8.1 program works correctly but when host system (on that programm run on) is Windows Server 2012 or Windows 8 and target system is Windows 8.1 registry hive load failed with following error:
Failed to load f:\Windows\System32\config\software: [1009] The configuration registry database is corrupt.
After run of 'chkdsk /r' error still remained. All requred security privileges (SE_BACKUP, SE_RESTORE) are applied. All systems are 64-bit.
Generally even system registry editor (regedit) could not open SOFTWARE hive from Windows 8.1 with following error:
Cannot Load f:\Windows\System32\config\software: Error while loading hive.
But when host system is Windows 7 or Windwos Server 2008 then SOFTWARE hive loaded without any problem.
So is there some Windows 8/8.1 registry hives validation mechanism or additional security checks tha prevents load of registry hives fromother OS instance?

The procMon tool shows RegLoadKey is failed when it tried to load the hive on Windows 8.1 (8.1 based WinPE also). On Windows 7, I didn't see the error (Shows Success instead of REGISTRY CORRUPT). Once the hive is load & unloaded on Windows 7 OS, the
check sum of the hive is changed, and I can load the updated hive with regedit in Windows 8.1 OS.
