Load FLVPlayback skin file on iOS

I have built an application which plays flv videos using the FLVPlayback 2.5 component.
It works fine on Windows, Mac and Android but on iOS it hangs when loading the skin.
I searched and found that iOS doesn't allow loading secondary SWF with code in it which is the case as the skin SWF contains as3 code.
I tried the solution here:

but didn't work for me.
I also embedded the skin SWF in the code, tried loading it and it worked in debugging with Fast Packaging using Flash Builder, but with Standard Packaging didn't, as well as when I exported a release built and ran it. I got the following message:
Does anyone have an idea what to do?
If I export the skin as .swc file and add it to my library path will it work and how can I load it? Has anyone tried it?

Unable to load Flash 9 on my Intel MacBook Pro

Unable to load Flash 9 on my Intel MacBook Pro but can on my
Intel iMac. I spoke with a Tech from the Mac Store service area and
was told that there in a thread on this issue but I can't find it.
The basic issue is that I am able to load Adobe Flash Player
9 on my Intel iMac but not on my Intel MacBook Pro and I'm unable
to determain why. I tryed uninstalling and reinstalling three times
and found no difference.
If someone could help me I'd be thankful.

I bought the $29 version of Snow Leopard (not the kosher way of doing things, i know.
If you read the license agreement, there's actually no difference between what's allowed with the $29 copy and the $169 boxed set. The only difference is that the boxed set also includes iLife and iWork. There is also, despite what some will have you believe, nothing in the license agreement that requires Leopard to be pre-installed except in the case of the $10 disk purchased as part of the Up-to-Date program (for folks who bought a machine shortly before SL was released). So, you're not being bitten by some technical requirement for Leopard to be present.
I get a flashing folder with a question mark. My disk drive makes some crazy noises as well, and it seems to start running fast, then slowing down. I think it may have caused a minor scratch on the disk as well.
Sounds like it's possible the drive could be failing, though that's impossible to say for sure remotely. One man's crazy noises are another man's normal state of operations. Do other DVDs work in your drive?
I'll also need to do an "Archive & Install" since there are tons of important files on this machine.
*DO NOT* attempt to install a system update on this machine unless you have good backups! If something goes wrong, you're screwed if you didn't have a backup. Hopefully, you have not reached that point already... I'm unclear on whether your machine is no longer able to boot, or if it's only having trouble when you try to boot from the SL disk.
If your machine is still functional, your first priority before doing *+anything else+* should be to make at least two backups. See my [Mac Backup Guide|http://www.reedcorner.net/thomas/guides/backups> for assistance with this.
If your machine can't boot anymore, let us know and we'll offer some troubleshooting tips. And don't try to do anything else with it until you've consulted with some expert, whether here or at an Apple Store or somewhere else.

Problem in loading Flash Components

Hai,
I have a problem in loading flash components using
actionscript.
Example( List Components).
I can load List components dynamically using frame script
like.

But I can't load dynamically from inside a class file like.

The over flash file works if i'm loading images direct from a
path but, i'm using php script to pull the files in binary format
and, it's causing problems in in firefox..

Nouveau crashes occasionally when loading flash content

Hey everyone,
Still fairly new to the whole Arch Linux business. I've been having occasional issues with my computer crashing when I try to view flash (such as YouTube videos). It happens once in a while but it's annoying and happens sometimes when I'm in the middle of work. It usually happens when I loads up from the start. The screen just freezes, unresponsive to key commands, mouse movements, etc. Can't kill X. I have to hard restart/shutdown.
Journalctl gives the following errors (usually nonstop until I restart):

I have this installed currently:
nouveau-dri 10.1.0-4
xf86-video-nouveau 1.0.10-2
I'm running a Lenovo w530. I use Firefox.
Anyone know how I can resolve this issue or dig deeper? I reverted to nouveau after the nvidia drivers were acting up and crashing occasionally on flash. Now it seems like nouveau is doing the same thing. I'm worried about fubaring my system from so many hard resets, esp. since I have a SSD. Can't seem to find much on this error on the internets or the forums...

Try the 'nouveau.noaccel=1' kernel command line option, to see if that at least prevent the failure.
Or try the proprietary driver from Nvidia again.

Loading Flash Menu in Background?

I've inherited a website with a huge (2.5MB) flash menu system and would like to know if there is an elegant way to load it in the background from maybe an intro page that redirects to the home page after a certain amount of time - or possible when the menu is done loading. Thanks in advance.

IWeb Blog or Wordpress

I want a site that posts my friends snowboarding tricks. I am cheap and I am wondering what is the best way to post these videos. Using the blog on iweb or am I going to have to use something like wordpress. I want it to have a title and a short description like the blog but continuous like a forum. I would like to know your opinion if they should put them on uTube and just put a link on the blog or forum or...... I would love to podcast it right there on the site. I am willing to work on this to make it look good. I just want the site about snowboarding tricks? I need some advice.

How to create a blog like list with items indented.

Hey guys i know there has got to be a easy way to do this but quite frankly im just stuck. Im trying to create a blog like list kind of like what you see in wordpress or even facebook.
I've tried using the vbox, vgroup and some other without any luck. I guess my basic problem is that once you have the vgroup laid out or the vbox laid out how can you push the one container over to the right a little? in other words kind of lile a parent child relationship? how can i go about doing that? should i be a looking at another component? how would you guys attempted this. Love to hear suggestions or see a snippet of code.

Unable to load Flash player

On my IMac, OSX 10.5.8, Lightroom running 64 bit I am not able to see any Flash galleries in the Web window - "Unable to load Flash player". Changing to 32 bit solves the problem, but was not the idea of creating a 64 bit version i suppose.
Tried uninstalling Flash Player and then reinstalling it - did not change anything.Tried creating a new account - same result.
I am also running a beta version of Lightroom 3 on my MacBook Pro in 64 bit, same OSX, and it does NOT have the same problem. Flash galleries showes up just fine.
Any ideas what to do other than wait for Flash Player 64 bit?

Flash Player is integrated into IE for Windows 8 & 8.1 by Microsoft. Since it's a "plug-in" and NOT a program, you'll NEVER find it listed as a program. It's located in C/Windows/System32/Macromed/Flash and C/Windows/SysWOW64/Macromed/Flash.
The problem with IE11 is that Microsoft not only screwed up the code, but they refuse to admit it doesn't work. The pages can't recognize the browser, so they don't recognize any of the plugins, like Flash Player. So far, Microsoft has made NO indication that they have any plan to fix it soon.
Microsoft's recommendation is to use Compatibility View for affected pages, and "pretend" you're using an different browser. Trouble with that is it has seen limited success at best, and you have to individually enable it for EVERY page that has problems.
I'm not big on "pretending" so I recommend actually using another browser.
Firefox (from Mozilla)
Opera (from Opera)
Safari (from Apple)
Chrome (from Google)
ANY of those will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in.

Problems with loading flash content in firefox, chrome, and opera

Salutations. The past couple of days, I've been having trouble with loading flash content on many sites. In particular, many flash games on sites like facebook will not load for me. Sporadically on other sites, flash content will not load, either.
I have no trouble with flash in IE9, but when I try to load these same pages in opera, chrome, and firefox i receive a "This Adobe flash plugin has crashed" error. I do send a crash report each time I receive this error. I've uninstalled flash and reinstalled it several times and it still performs this error. Sometimes when i try to load certain flash games on Chrome a "the following plugin is unresponsive: shockwave flash. would you like to stop it?" error and this makes the whole browser unresponsive. I receive the same error in Opera.
I have the following browsers and flash versions:
Firefox: 6.0.2 with adobe flash 10.3.183.7
Chrome: 13.0.782.220 with adobe flash 10.3.183.7
Opera: 11.51 with adobe flash 10.3.183.7
As for my system, I have Windows Vista Home Premium with service pack 2.
Prior to upgrading to this new version of flash, everything worked fine in all of these browsers for me.
As an afterthought, I figured that I should mention that I'm running adobe flash 10.3.183.5 with IE9, which is the main difference between that one browser and the other three.

Creating uicomponents in loaded flash file

hello flex developers. i have a flex application and a flash swf file. flex application loads this flash file (which contains different overlays and some logic) and creates some flex components (UIComponents like Buttons and Labels) inside it in some places (in some overlays).
i've tried various options with UIMovieClip, ContainerMovieClip, FlexContentHolder and FlexComponentKit but none of them works... after i add a UIComponent to loaded flash file - the component doesn't get initialized.
also i tried examples with custom flash components embedded directly into flex application, which inherit from UIMovieClip and ContainerMovieClip, and they work fine inside flex application. but if i paste them in flash file and then load inside flex application - i again see UIComponents not being initialized...
please help.

got it, thanks. basically i don't want to spend time hacking UIComponents. to tell the truth i already have a custom UISprite logic to work with UIComponents, but it still using hacks... maybe you can recommend me some unified/modern way how to be able creating flex components dynamically and work with them in loaded swf files? simply these swfs are created by designers who work in Flash Professional. they draw there different animations, paste various assets and map some "content" for future dynamic components. of course i can create there non flex components, add sprites to these "content" areas, but i want flex UI components to appear there because they need to work close with system's core and various air/flex features. as i see flex component kit gives me ability to use some separate custom components created in flash with a small additional conversion of them. but these are all separate components, and i need to work with loaded swf file. are there any recommendations or guidelines for this direction? or maybe there is simply a tool/class that can be used/loaded into these swfs and make them fully capable for flex usage after loading?

Checkerbox when loading flash

When loading flash in IE7, getting checkerbox where flash

The problem is not on only one machine. It is on the terminal

I can't load correctly buttons and menus in my wordpress admin page.
For example, the buttons about upload images, videos and music are too close together and they don't work.
In the right and left menues icons appear partially and out of place, sometimes one over the other.
It works in IE.

I'm just going to repeat the relevant sections from my previous post with the screenshots this time:
Below you'll see a snip of how my current folder structure appears. It's identical to yours, except there are no button files in the General Folder. Since you were kind enough to include a file name, I did a search on that specific one and it's nowhere to be found on my hard drive. Hmmm....
I've seen others remark on how... "challenging".... Adobe's instructions can be sometime. I'll admit to having the same feeling when I was trying to download and install all the content files and the 7-zip stuff. Is the answer somehow that I screwed up that? Note the 7-zip folder right above the Adobe folder. Here's a screen shot of that expanded folder contents:
Does that look like you think it should? Have I not installed or extracted something correctly?
Finally, the only other thing I can think of to give you as much info as you might need is to include a screenshot of where the "Functional Content" stuff got saved. Adobe's instructions about this (if I recall correctly) were that it did NOT have to be installed anywhere specific, but you then had to go into Encore (& Premiere) and through preferences point to this stuff, which I believe I did. But I don't see any button type files in these anyway.
Other thoughts or advice?
